This is a good book. I recommend it if you're interested in any kind of food preservation, from planting a garden, to canning and freezing and storing the harvest, and all kinds of things in-between, including making your own cheese. I didn't read the whole thing, but am glad to know that it is available as a reference as needed.
If you have only canning book...that should be Ball's Blue Book. If you're willing to spring for two, this should be your second. A fully comprehensive guide to food storage techniques, canning, drying, freezing, a true encyclopedia for do it yourself food preservation.
