There is an unsettling mood hanging like storm clouds over North America. Why is there so much upheaval on so many levels? Where is America moving, and where is the world heading? Who will emerge from among the sea of nations as the survivor and the leader?

There is no denying, that our world is in turmoil, and things will surely come to a head in the near future. To all of you who wonder what our future holds, I highly recommend this book. It's clear, concise, thorough, and gripping. The only thing that Perry didn't make clear to me, are the meaning of 666 and the image that all will be forced to worship. This is truly a great read!
Awesome book! Very informative! If you want to be "in the know" of the true meaning behind world events you've gotta read this book. I would recommend any book by Perry Stone for reading. If you can get your hands on books dealing with prophetic events by Perry Stone, you've got to read it!!
Actually the occasion for my reading this book was a joke. Perhaps you are familiar with the joke Halloween costumes that get posted on Facebook in October? One of them was "end-time preacher" and it included a copy of Perry Stone's Unleashing the Beast. When I saw that I knew I had to read this book.
Perry Stone is a pretty typical Dispensationalist preacher. He takes a lot of Revelation literally, including the idea that during the Tribulation a 200 million man army is going to invade Israel from the east. He did not say whether or not they would be riding 200 million literal fire-breathing horses. What makes Stone unique, at least in the Dispensationalists I have read to this point, is his insistence that the coming Antichrist will be identical to the Islamic end-time figure the Mahdi. Because of this, the book is mostly about Islamic beliefs and practices.
I do think it is correct for everybody, not just Dispensationalists, to be concerned about Islamic extremism. But even Stone himself says that most Muslims are peaceful. He did cite a study that said that as many as 37% of Muslims are radicalized, a number that is surely inaccurate and is intended more to shock than inform. Nonetheless after saying that a minority of Muslims are radicalized he makes the bold statement, "All Muslims .. want Israel replaced by the Palestinian state—including the physical removal or death of the Jewish population."
The book has many inaccuracies, especially concerning Greek. In one place, he says the Beast cannot be a computer because it is a "he," not an "it." But in fact the Greek word for "beast" is neuter, not masculine, and neuter pronouns are used to reference "it." These are minor errors. More serious are assertions such as the idea that America has always been a safe haven for Jews. AI says, "During World War II, US immigration laws significantly restricted Jewish refugees from entering the country, primarily due to the 1924 Immigration Act (Johnson-Reed Act) which established national origin quotas that heavily limited immigration from Eastern Europe, where most Jewish refugees were fleeing from Nazi persecution; this meant that even with the growing urgency of the Holocaust, most Jews seeking asylum were denied entry to the United States."
Even more annoying to me were the political comments. Where does Stone get the idea that it is taboo to teach that Christ is the only savior? This is taught in every Christian church across the nation, and nobody is stopping it, or even suggesting it be stopped. And although Stone makes clear that he thinks Obama is a Christian, he devotes several pages to the idea that Obama is courting Muslims, and may even have been planning to forge a Muslim-Christian alliance. He even goes so far as to suggest Obama's campaign seal with its rising sun is an allusion to the Islamic prophecy that at the end of time the sun will rise in the west!
Another annoying feature was the use of phrases such as "scholars indicate" and "scholars note." Which scholars, exactly, note that Allah was a moon god? The scholars I have read all say that Allah is the same monotheistic God that Jews and Christians worship.
It’s next to impossible for me to read a book without learning something useful, though. I learned that the Greek word for "beheaded" in Revelation 20.4 refers specifically to beheading with an axe. This makes it likely that Roman style beheadings are in view, not Islamic style beheadings which are done with a sword.
What an outstanding book. Even though this book was written several years ago. It contained so much valuable information, and I really learned a lot. Perry Stone is an exceptional author and speaker and truly knows his subject matter. This book gave me a unique insight into the Muslim religion and lifestyle and talked about the various facets of the Muslim religion. Definitely an exceptional book.
Interesting and scary. Interesting in the scriptural references: both the Bible and the Quran. Scary in the prophetic analysis: Christian, Muslim or bystander it looks grim.
