a small book - with a review of the basics and a range of recipes - good for someone who does not want a large book to read through and a reference for some interesting recipes

This was good. It was a very quick read. I think I read it on the way while Nathan took us for errands. I gave it a three just because so much of the book was for beginers and I did not learn anything new except some things to do with bubble wrap. After making soap this past year I have decided what I like and don't like in a soap and though the recipes look good. I think I am happier with ours.

I loved the recipes in this book, lots of creative ideas, but the title is quite misleading. Most of the recipes contained 'fragrance oils' and a suggested supplier. These are not essential oils, but rather synthetic and natural fragrance blends with unlisted ingredients - not something I would consider 'natural'.

I'm of two minds about this book. While I did enjoy the photos, and the author's enthusiasm is contagious, I was looking for natural recipes and did not find many here with so many additions of "fragrance oil"

I'll be looking elsewhere for natural soaps.

"Natural" recipes (though some contain FOs). I like the fact that there were pictures of every soap with each recipe and that it listed mix temp.

A short, simple, clearly presented soap making book. I love the recipes and the pictures!! Thank you for providing a picture with every recipe.
