Pleasurably and Painfully Hot!

WOW! This is one hard core BDSM story where Dom Jack has a strange way of expressing his true feelings of love outside his roll of being a Dom. Callie is a true Sub who loves and wants Jack but only if she can have all of him instead of just the role playing in a BDSM relationship.

The story is very explicit and the connection between the characters is very cold and distance at times as the dominance takes the willing submissive partner as if playing head games to get the point across of dominance. The writing is smooth and as you read you can tell the author did a lot of research into the BDSM world as some of the sexual acts and exhibiting of the Dom’s Sub in front of a crowd is displayed. The author did a great job at capturing both rolls between the characters.

For those who love the hard core BDSM you will get your fill of Blind Folds, hand cuffs, cock gag, straps, snowflake nipple shields, vibrator, clothespins, mini-crops, leather crops, spreader bars, suspension apparatus, chaining through D-Ring, anal plugs, spankings, anal entry, fingering, licking, candy cane sex, rough intercourse and collaring.

I do not know a lot about the BDSM world but after reading this hot book I feel my knowledge has expanded and am in total awe and appalled at some of the acts but all I got to say is “To Each’s own and whatever floats your boat - LOL. Don’t get me wrong, I like the mild BDSM but this was a whole new perspective to me and just WOW!

There was more than just the acts of BDSM in the story as the author gave us a happy ever after plot of what both characters Jack and Callie really wanted all along in the end Love, marriage, children, and white picket fences is always a dream; however finding the right person to have those things with is always the challenge held within one’s future, we just have to risk everything and reach out and take it before it passes us by.

Great Read!

Callie ran away from Jack 3 years ago, but when they meet again at a Christmas party, old feelings start to arise. His sub for well over a year, she ran when she realised that living in a relationship with unrequited love was something that she could no longer do. Older now, she feels stronger and intends to fight for her man. She has always loved him; can she find a way to make him love her back this time?

Jack can’t quite believe his eyes when Callie turns up at a friend’s party. The woman that broke his heart, he has never gotten over her leaving. Determined to have her for at least the holiday season, he starts off their entanglement in the way he should have done the first time. More mature in his Dom role, he collars her, gets her to sign a contract and vows to tie her to him and make her stay. Both of them are more mature and have changed in many ways; are they as compatible as they once were? Or is their relationship destined to be nothing than a fond memory best left alone.

This is a short story at 75 pages long, but it surely packed a punch. Jack is very much a Dom. He isn’t a sex-play Dom (he was much more of a lifestyle Dom) and I got the sense that what he was looking for, even though he kept referring to Callie as a sub, was a slave. He was a very commanding presence and, as a Dom, I thought he was quite dreamy. He knew how far he could push her, made sure he knew her limits and did his best to please her. He knew that she responded to dirty talk (the more he used the word “slut the hotter she got!) and that she needed pain. I must admit that some of the scenes made me cringe a little. Unlike Callie, I don’t need the pain and the thought of clothes pins on my bits made me cross my legs! However, I had to commend Cassandra Carr for picking S/M as a theme because, as much as it made me uncomfortable, it wasn’t my story being told, it was Callie’s. The only issue I took With Jack was his attempts to control her behaviour outside of his bedroom. In one scene, she drunk dials him and he goes mental. Yes, some of the anger was due to the thought of her driving home under the influence, but some was simply because she was drunk. If she had wanted him to have that kind of control over her life, she would have asked for it. She bent to him because she wanted to make him happy and the fact he let her made me question Jack’s motivations as a Dom. Some people become a Dom purely to be in control, others do because they want to help subs achieve the freeness they desire. I got mixed messages about his motivations after this incident. I suppose he is allowed to be an idiot at some point in the story though, so I tried not to hold it against him.

Callie was a masochist that completely accepted her kink. I liked this about her, even if I didn’t understand it. The scenes where she submits to him are quite something to behold; the man is really quite inventive. There was the afore mentioned clothes peg scene, a scene with an embossed flogger, a scene with a peppermint candy cane and the final scene which I won’t spoil. The majority of the scenes really rang my bell and the ones that were a little too much were still hot because of the strength of feeling between the two leads. Although neither was willing to believe the other could truly love them, they loved the other quite freely. What was interesting what that both felt the other didn’t love them because of failings within them. Callie felt that Jack couldn’t love her as he wasn’t capable of settling, Jack felt that Callie couldn’t love him because she couldn’t accept his dark side. It was an interesting conundrum and I liked that neither of our characters really had many self-confidence issues, especially Callie.

Overall this was a rather dark BDSM book with heavy influence on the S and M. I really enjoyed the interactions between the two leads and I really felt I got to know them over the course of the story. The sex scenes were hot, with the climactic scene raising the bar and being quite awesome. It isn’t for the faint of heart, but I recommend it to anyone who likes their BDSM rather dark. Jack is the ultimate Dom; demanding, thoughtful, pushy and relentless. I enjoyed reading his tale, could we see more please?

While the Sir in this story was not my type it was well written. To be honest I felt like she was a bit of an addict at first - he didn't seem good for her. He was very cold and impersonal. Strange to say when they were having sex and all but that's how I felt. She seemed at ease with this relationship - though I have no idea why someone would walk back into a relationship with someone who had seemingly not changed. If you left once because it was too hard seems likely to happen again.

However I blame them both for the big C. Failure to communicate. She should never have just gone with him and given him a BJ the minute they meet up again. He shouldn't have asked her. What they should have done is have a talk - she walked out on him without a word (childish) and he was incapable of telling her the words she needed to hear. Failure = both parties.

I liked the book- sort of. My main issue was the connection between them and how he treated her. Up until the last little bit I just couldn't shake the feeling she could be anyone. To be blunt any old hole. All protocol and orders. I would not have been surprised if she was told to eat out of a bowl on the floor (it would have went with the leash anyway). I just didn't like him for the vast majority of the book and I couldn't figure out why on earth she would bother. I couldn't see a 24/7 type with him - he comes across as too rigid to be enjoyable all the time. Though the way she acted it was hard to tell what it was she wanted. She wanted him yes -- but the rest of it took a while for me to warm up to her wanting it. He did get better and she was finally able to find her voice. I think I would have enjoyed it more if some of the conflict was actually out there instead of hidden in what each character thought.

If you enjoy protocol, humiliation, and a more harsh Dom/sub relationship this one will be right up your alley. I know some folks have referred to this as heavy on the S&M but I didn't get that feeling myself (I'm a masochist and S&M really trips my trigger obviously). This was far far heavier IMHO with the power exchange and slave mentality - and the D/s. He is a sadistic Dom but I felt throughout the book that it was the humiliation and domination that got him off more. Like I noted above this is for sure not my type of Dom - he is way too structured and rigid. Then again I dislike major protocol (too much work for me LOL..I like to have fun with it - not feel like I have to memorize a bunch of rules!)

Those looking for fun sugarkink and romance I might pass on this one..though there is romance it is very late in the game before it rears its head. JMHO of course.

Imagine giving everything to a man you loved and receiving not even an invitation to his bed. You are only good enough to be relegated to the guest room after a scene. You submit to his every whim and provide sexual satisfaction and when you want a bit of loving reassurance, he leaves you high and dry.

Callie left Jack three years ago because she was dying from neglect her love was never returned. Returning home for the first time to visit over the holiday season, Callie bumps into Jack, only to turn tail and run. Jack, the Dominant, chases and corners her before she can escape. Their first contact after years is a hot submission with her on her knees, sucking him off at their mutual friend's party.

Jack never understood why Callie ran from him. He loved her desperately and was afraid his intense BDSM desires scared her. It must have because she left without a word or way of finding her. Finding her again, he doesn't want to lose her this time. So begins the mating dance between Callie and Jack.

This short story was sweet and my heart hurt reading it. The bruised feeling of when a love is unrequited never ceases to move me, and when the lover is as sweetly submissive and gentle hearted as Callie, I feel the blow to my heart physically. My chest literally hurt reading about Callie's forlorn hopeless love for Jack. Jack's inability to communicate with Callie other than through a sexual physical format drove me up the wall. He thinks his actions speak louder than his words. Yes, they do. He just didn't realize that what his actions said was not what he meant. Where is my two by four to hit him across the head to give him a clue?

Ms. Carr is a new to me author and one I'm going to watch. I enjoyed her story. It was well written. I enjoyed the dynamics she employed between her main characters. Her BDSM was light and hot. Her D/s was nicely done. The only thing which confused me was Jack's Dom friend, Ron, who was married yet had no full-time sub. That sounds like a train wreck waiting to happen. Other than this one item which made no sense to me, the story flowed well despite its hinge upon a miscommunication. Ms. Carr showed how hard it is to talk about the next step in a relationship and the fear of rejection. I recommend this book to new-to-BDSM readers who enjoy lovers reunited for a happily ever after.

This novella by Ms. Carr reunites Callie with her former Dom, Jack. She found the strength to walk away three years ago when she recognized that while she loved the way Jack dominated her and loved the man himself, those feelings weren't reciprocated and she admitted that the physical connection wasn't enough to hold her. She's back in town for a holiday visit, staying with her best friend, when she runs into Jack at a party. Their chemistry is as blazing hot as ever, and she can't resist resuming at least a temporary D/s connection with him.

Naturally the question in a reunion story is whether the couple can make things work this time. Has the problem that they faced before been removed or resolved? Have they matured beyond what challenged them before?

Honestly, for much of the story, the answer remains very much in doubt. There's no question that Jack and Callie are very compatible sexually, and her desires with regards to being dominated mesh well with what Jack requires of her in submission. But both seem to have trouble communicating outside of sex and I found that frustrating (if somewhat realistic). Because of that lack, Jack came across to me as selfish and Callie as less assertive--both perhaps a bit immature--than I would have liked.

I had a hard time understanding Callie's willingness to forego more open communication and Jack's inability to use some verbal connecting as well as the physical. I really didn't like some aspects of Jack's character at all and felt like Callie was settling--they both seemed so driven by their chemistry that it was a little hard for me to relate, and I think that made it hard for me to understand their perspectives. This is one of Ms. Carr's earlier stories, and perhaps this is somewhat reflective of that.

Ms. Carr does write a scorching story, and Jack and Callie's holidays ARE blazingly hot :) I have read some of Ms. Carr's other work and enjoyed it tremendously. This simply isn't one of my favorites, but it could be yours...

Take a walk on the dark side!

Three years ago Callie found her perfect subspace while under the dominance of Jack, the sexy professor she met while enrolled in his college class. She fell in love, hard and deep, but Jack didn't return her feelings and she was in danger of losing herself to the despair of unrequited commitment. Callie did the only thing she could to protect herself, she ran.

From the moment Jack saw Callie he knew she was the woman meant to be his to command. Her craving for painful pleasure, unconditional submission and sensual curves fulfilled his darkest desires. It wasn't until after she was gone that he was able to admit to himself that his feelings were deeper than desire and no submissive has satisfied him since.

Three years is a long time to be apart, but the instant chemistry they shared long ago quickly returns as they explore the powerful highs that can only be found in each other's arms. Callie has changed, Jack has changed, but the one thing that hasn't changed is their inability to communicate outside of the playroom. Callie longs for more and Jack doesn't know if he's able to give her everything she needs but is unwilling to accept a future that doesn't include his naughty submissive.

An intensely written BDSM/fetish romance that delves deeply into the dark side of the lifestyle. When two imperfect people are drawn together irresistibly sparks fly, emotions run high, and the potential rewards far outweigh the risks.

A copy of Caught was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was an intense book from the beginning. Jack and Callie were dominant and sub three years ago, but for some reason she ran from him. Three years later they run into each other at a party. He wants her as she bee lines it to the door. He captures her and they start back in the life. They are very committed to each other but will Jack give Callie what she wants and craves and will Callie be what she needs to be with Jack. Will they make it to the white picket fence and what they both want

This book was an intense book. The BDSM scenes were intense , Cassandra wrote these scenes with such detail. Jack is one conflicted man. He is so in love with Callie but is so confused on how express those feelings. You kind a just want to shake him and say man she is perfect for you , Do something you idiot. Callie is stronger but is still trying to come to terms with her feelings . She loves him but doesn't know if he can give her what she wants. They work their way through it . You want to chee for them as they finally realize that there might be something more . This is a short novella that packs a big punch. So if you want to read a good novella with lots of naughty naughty parts . check her out

Wow.... Try to keep cool after reading this sizzling hawt BDSM treat. It's a dare. I couldn't do it and I doubt anyone else can either. Callie cannot deny her submissive tendencies but neither could she allow another Dom to make her submit. No man since Jack. Since she walked away from him 3 years ago. Leaving behind her broken heart as well. She couldn't deny his request to be his little sub while she was home but could she deny herself from giving her heart again.
Jack couldn't believe his luck at seeing Callie walk into the Christmas party after three long years. She had once been the one that he loved to dominate, the one he wanted collared to him still. He still stung from her running from him but he wouldn't let her run again. Not until he was done with her, until she submitted to him in every way.

3.5 stars for the first half, 2 stars for the last. Hardcore BDSM D/s where the principals meet again a few years after she walked out because he couldn't return the feelings that she had for him. He was a great Dom but she also wanted love. The 3.5 star part of the book is a nice 2nd chance meeting where he realizes that he does have those feelings for her and tries hard to show it. The 2 star part is at the end with a public display of "BDSM activities" before a clapping, appreciative audience. I've never understood the public display aspects of BDSM and I found this one to be particularly stomach turning. Private lives should be kept private.

I loved this book! Once again Cassandra has proven that hot can only get hotter.

Callie returns to her home town after an absence of three years. The first event she goes to is a party of college friends. There she runs into Jack the Dom she ran from all those years before.

Immediately she knew the heat between them was still there and started to run again. Before she made it to the door he stopped her.

Callie couldn't help but give in to the power that only this man held over her. But this time Callie wants it all. She wants his unconditional love as he has always had hers.

Will Jack prove his love or will Callie walk away heartbroken again?

This book grated on my nerves towards the end. While the sex was good, the same storyline was used in literally every single chapter. The characters needed to talk, but oops they just had sex instead and it got really old really fast.

There was also a conversation between Jack and his friend which felt very staged.

I would have liked it better if the author had simply rolled with the fact that the book had no plot and trying to stretch it for no reason.

While doing book reviews many of the stories we read are gifted to us in exchange for an honest review, but sometimes a book calls to you, whether it is by an author you like to read or has a story line that interests you, sometimes a book is just begging for you to buy it, read it and enjoy it.
This was one of those books.
Three years have gone by since Callie used to sub to her Master Jack. She left him because she believed that he did not love her the way that she needed/craved to be loved.
Now in town for the holidays they meet up once again. Straight away they easily fall back into their comfortable patterns, him dominating and her submitting. The sex is hot and steamy, but still there is something missing. For her, she is still looking for happy ever after, marriage, kids and a picket fence. For him, he is searching for the reason she left in the first place, desparate to keep her with him, but unable to open himself up to ask her for answers and declare his feelings for her.
He tries to tell her the only way he know how. In the bedroom. In the bed, in his dominating manner he tries to portray his emotions. Sure he uses a few extra toys, a vibrator, a paddle and a funky snowflake nipple shield. He gives her countless orgasms, but somehow he is just falling short on the aftercare, he is forgetting the cuddling, sometimes sending her after right away. She is confused but still deeply in love and keeps returning for more. Sooner or later he will let her spend the night and she will get the holding and loving that she wants, right?
Will he finally get his act together? Will she ever have the nerve to confront him, to explain what she is craving? Or will she walk away again.?
I thought this book had some hot sex scenes, he is definately a dom to salivate over, his scenes had me wiggling in my chair. I definatley recomment anyone who enjoys some domination to buy this book. It was great. I would rate it 5/5.

Second Chances!

Callie returns and is attending a party and sees her ex Dom right away. She turns to leave and he grabs her arm to get her attention. She goes right back into her submissive mind for him. She loves him even though it has been three years and she wants to submit to him again even if it is only for a short time.

Jack sees Callie from afar at the party he is attending and wants her like he never wanted anything in his life. He was crushed when she left him 3 years ago and he wants to know why she left but he also wants her to submit to him. They decide to be in this D/S relationship while she is home and see where things go.

Callie knows from the start that she is falling hard for him again but she is different and she won’t take anything less from Jack except his soul and his heart.

Jack has never told Callie he loves her and that is what she wants. She wants the husband, kids and the white picket fence and she tells him that maybe he can’t change and be what she needs.

Jack figures the only way to show her he loves her is to submit to her. Give Callie control over him. She is shocked and wants to submit to her Dom not control him. Jack has to realize that he can’t live without her. That is a hard thing for a dominant to do. He is supposed to be in control.

I really like this story. The author has two strong characters that have their own mind set on what they want out of the relationship. But as they spend time together they learn they don’t want to be without each other. I love that their love is still as strong when they see each other again as what it was 3 years before. Callie is a lot stronger now and knows she won’t settle for anything but all of Jack and hopes he can give himself to her fully.

I highly recommend this story.

I have to admit I absolutely loved this book. Why a 4 star review instead of 5? I couldn't get over Jack. Callie and Jack's relationship, if you can call it that is like any typical relationship with the addition of Jack living the lifestyle full time. This wasn't an issue with me. I felt that it was fairly obvious to anyone reading, or if you happened to have the audio book, listening, that Jack made no apologies for who and what he is. That's awesome!

Callie is a SUB without a DOM to care for her, to allow her to submit to him. Personally, I felt Callie was great. She may be a SUB, but she's not meek female. She knows what she wants and if Jack can't or won't be the DOM to provide it, she'll leave... afterall, she's done it once before. She however isn't telling him what she needs, like all women (and yes, this includes me), she expects him to just know.

Jack is a DOM and he makes no apology for it. He lives the lifestyle and even has a play room in his house. With the title DOM comes certain expectations in my book and Jack met every single one. Even his utter lack of knowing how to communicate with Callie when it matters most is realistic. My issue with Jack is "Beauty". For a teacher's assistant his repeated use of "Beauty" when he spoke to her had me rolling my eyes after a while.

Overall though, I loved the interactions between Jack and Callie. Carr's writing style enabled me to feel as if I were really getting to know both Jack and Callie and ultimately made me feel as if I really knew them. Great story and definitely recommended if you like BDSM with a bit of angst thrown in.

This is a dominating 77 page novella that is packed with some very hot scene play as well as a touching story. Callie has returned home for the holidays and runs into her old Dom, Jack; she hasn't seen him since she left 3 years ago-but after seeing him now-she realizes she still hasn't gotten over him.

Santa may have answered Jack's unasked Christmas wish and brought Callie back into his life, for he has never gotten over her. These feisty characters struggle to deal with their past and present Dom/Sub relationship. Can they trust each other again? Do the old rules apply...or is this something entirely different?

Cassandra Carr did a terrific job with this book! The way she portrays Jack's power struggle as a Dominant both to himself and to his submissive is great. This book comes with a warning from me to you- I am a BDSM fan and love the power struggle and the gift of submission. This book contains aspects such as anal play, punishments, humiliation, and dirty talk. Please understand when reading this that these are strong aspects about the book that I enjoyed immensely.

Miss Carr did an excellent job portraying the love and submission of Callie. I give you this warning so that you are aware of the aspects of this book. This was an extremely enjoyable read and I highly recommend it! Cassandra Carr has quickly become a favorite of mine and I look forward to reading many more books from her.

Callie has just returned home from running away from her life three years earlier. At the holiday party she meets Jack (whose name I kept forgetting because for more than 50% of this story- he is referred to as "sir"), who she had had a very intense D/s relationship with previously. Callie ran because she started to have feelings for Jack that weren't returned, or at least, not that she was aware of.
Upon seeing each other for the first time after 3 years apart, they head straight for the bedroom, and picked up right where they left off. The pair continue their D/s relationship but something was different about this time. This time, there was a time limit- Callie had to return to her new life right after the holidays, unless Jack could finally admit that he felt the way about Callie that she felt about him.
I have to say that this was a cold book. I didn't find that the two characters had any warmth in them, and I've read erotica before and right from page one you can feel the heat between the two main characters, but with Jack and Callie, I was chilled. Heat started to creep in toward the end of the book, but at that point it felt forced.
I felt as if I had stepped into a story already in progress and had missed the introductions and background story of the characters, but this was the first book. The characters do continue on as bit players in another of Ms. Carr's novels, however.

When Callie subbed for Jack, his intensity scared her. She loved him and wanted to be more than his submissive of the moment, but he didn’t seem to return her feelings. So she left without a word.

Three years later they meet by chance a party and instantly are caught up into their former Dominant/submissive roles and games -- and old issues. Callie still isn’t sure of Jack’s feelings, and while he thinks he’s communicating by his actions how he feels, the message isn’t coming through. Will Jack and Callie ever be able to work it out?

Caught is not your mama’s romance, or even her erotic romance. The line is fuzzy, but I would classify it as erotica. The sex scenes are numerous, vividly visual and border on violent albeit consensually, but of course it is bdsm. Cassandra Carr finishes strong with a final bdsm scene that packs a wallop.

Two things stood out for me in this book: the level of detail in the bdsm scenes make them seem very real, and the contrast between the violence of Callie’s sex life and relationship with Jack and her very “normal every day life. Although this novella is short, the author makes sure that Callie comes across as a real person.

I’d recommend this book as good solid read. If you enjoy bdsm fiction, pick this one up.

A wonderful short story about love and trust.

Callie is back in town for a few weeks over Christmas. While enjoying a holiday party, she sees Jack for the first time in 3 years. Several years ago Jack and Callie had a dom/sub relationship and while her feelings were intense, she ran from the connection they had believing Jack did not feel the same. When they see each other they immediately fall back into the same roles as before however they do not talk about what happened 3 years ago.

Jack is an intense Dom and although Callie sometimes pushes back, she is a true sub and wants only to please Jack. As they pick up where they left off Callie notices that Jack seems different this time, he seems to have changed in the way he treats Callie, almost like a boyfriend instead of just the dom/sub relationship they had before.

As their time grows short and Callie starts to think about going back home she realizes she has fallen in love with him again - or never stopped loving him however still believes he has not changed. It is not until he shows her how much he loves her that she finally believes.

A great story about love, trust and communicating your feelings with a little (a lot) of kink.

I thought that this book was ok. I was not completely drawn into it like other BDSM books that I have read. I thought that it was a good read but it just did not hold my interests.
The book is set during the winter holidays. Callie has returned to her home town to celebrate the holidays with her family and friends. She ran away from her Master, Jake, because she fell in love with him and learned that he did not feel the same way.
Jake, a teacher, did not realized what he lost until he saw Callie after three years. He wants everything to be the same as it was when she was his sub previously. He however does not want her to leave me again. He will do everything in his power to prove he loves her.
I love the scenes that they did together. The author was very descriptive when it came to the scenes. She made you feel like you were in the same playroom with her characters. I totally loved that Jake wanted to bottom to show that he was serious about Callie not leaving him.
I did not like how the book ended. I thought it was abruptly done. I think that the book could have been a little longer and showed the loving side of Jake more not just his dominant side.

I have to say I did not care for Jack at all.
After meeting Callie again after she left him 3 years ago he picks up where they left off. There was a definite lack of communication between the two.
He is confused as to why she left him but he does not sit down with her and talk about it. The first time he sees her again he makes her go down on her knees and give him a BJ. That alone showed a lack of respect for the women he insists he loves.

While Callie seemed to be alright with the way Jack treated her during their "play", to me he just seemed cold and unemotional and a user. I felt bad for Callie because she deserved so much more then Jack was giving her.

While dirty talk can be a turn on his was more crass and of the humiliating type. It did nothing for me and was actually a turn off.

I also wondered if Callie was ever allowed to be a person. When she was with Jack it was always sub/dom where she was required to follow strict orders . I wanted them to go on a date, talk, see a movie, laugh, have fun, be a couple.

Caught is one hot bdsm novella. Callie once subbed for Jack, but she left him without warning three years ago because she was losing her heart to him and couldn't bear for her love to not be reciprocated. They cross paths at a holiday party and Callie agrees to sub for Jack while she's back in town. She finds herself falling in love with him all over again and things get complicated for both of them. Jack doesn't want to lose Callie when the holidays end, but he has trouble sharing his feelings. When he finally does, Callie is hesitant to believe him. It takes a grand gesture on Jack's part to make her understand the depth of his love. And in between all this, there are some seriously hot goings-on. If you like M/F bdsm with a splash of angst and romance, Caught is probably right up your alley.

What's a Sub to do when her old Dom comes back into her life? For Callie it means stepping right into her old role again, but still afraid of getting her heart broken once more. For Jack, a Dom who should know one of the rules is communication, if he doesn't, he may lose her again.

The story picks up right away and keeps you on a roller-coaster. You feel for Callie as she tries show her feelings as she submits to Jack, how will she make him understand just what she needs. Jack on the other hand is having a hard time getting over her running away from him, this time he will make sure she knows he is playing for keeps! Expect to get 'caught' into a BDSM story that will have you grabbing for a fan to cool you down.

After receiving this book in exchange for an honest review I sat down with my Kindle and started reading. I was entranced from the first word until the last one. After coming home for the first time in three years, Callie ran into Jack (who she used to sub for) and rekindled their Dom/sub relationship. This time though they had to face what caused Callie to run all those years ago and also to become used to the differences in each other because of the way they each changed over the years. This book shows how people change and sometimes it is worth giving others a second chance. This book is a fantastic read and I would recommend it to read!

Cassie may be scared out of her mind, but she is really one very gutsy woman. She is naked for Jack, both literally and figuratively, and you have to admire the strength it takes to put her heart on the line. I am not sure, however, that Jack deserves her devotion, and being the consummate Dom like he claims, I feel he should be much more in tune with his sub. They do have awesome chemistry when at play, and every moment together is hotter than the last.

I really enjoyed getting to meet Jack and Callie and getting to see their story. I couldn't have asked for a better BDSM book then the one that I just read.

This is a hot and spicy read and it just pulls you into the magical world of BDSM.

They were together and it just got to be too much for Callie. She fell in love with Jack. Jack has too much of a dark side and couldn't see what he was doing to Callie.

They meet by accident three years later and instead of airing out everything that had happened they start back where they left off.

Caught by Cassandra Carr is a contemporary novella with a BDSM theme. In Caught, Callie runs into an old flame at a party with explosive results. I am not a huge fan of lost loved stories but I really enjoyed this story. Callie had her reasons for leaving...reasons that might have been resolved with a little more communication. The story line was very true to life (well minus the dominant-sub relationship for most people). I loved it, thought both characters were great even though Jack was a bit cold at first, he had his reasons. Definitely recommend!

Caught by Cassandra Carr is another great read. Callie was Jack's sub 3 years ago and she loved Jack but didn't think he could love her back so she left town. Callie is back in town to visit and runs into Jack and agrees to sub for Jack while she's in town. The BDSM scenes are hot. I think the hottest scene was when Jack removed the clothespins with a riding crop. Do Callie and Jack get their second chance? Can Jack love Callie? I guess you will have to read it and find out.

I did not finish this book. I do NOT enjoy the humiliation of submissives in the BDSM books I read. What I mean by humiliation is requiring a sub to be leashed & made crawl behind the dominant, also calling the sub foul names even when not in a scene is another no-no for me. I'm sorry Ms. Carr, I have enjoyed other books you have written but NOT this one. I guess you could say I reached my hard limit lol.
