Rate this book
Danielle Coulter had never believed in anything except her mother, hard work and heartache. She never had time for religious fairytales. But when her mother died, Dani was forced to believe…or die. Not only was she forced to accept that God and Lucifer are real, but also that she is the last living descent of God on Earth. An undeniable fact when the Archangel Gabriel fell to Earth to protect her.

Archangel Gabriel; banished from Heaven over four million years ago for refusing to kill his brother, Lucifer, was about to get a second chance to re-enter Heaven. He was sent to Earth on a mission from his Father to protect the last Daughter of God; the last woman to carry the Blood of God on Earth, and kill his brother, once and for all. Gabriel had never expected to feel anything for Dani, but he soon found himself willing to fight Heaven and Hell to keep her safe, even if it meant his own destruction.

This Book Was Amazing I Fell In Love With Dani And Archangel Gabriel.
Dani Is So Upset over the death of her mother to cancer. Now That Dani lost the only member of her family she had left she just wanted to mourn alone but fate had other plans. While visiting her mothers grave after everyone finally leaves she was attacked as she was being draged before she passed out a man comes to her rescue. When she awoke she was in her rescuers hotel room. What She didnt know was why she was attached and that she was the last of her kind and her rescuer was no other than Archangel Gabriel as they battle side by side they began to fall in love can he save her before his brother kills her. This Book Has A Few Misspelled Words Other Than That This Book Made Me Laugh And Cry And Happy Again. It Was So Exciting I Stayed Up All Night To Read It I Just Couldn't Put It Down. Loved It!! Makes me wish I had an angel of my own!!

I was initially drawn to this book because it's about angels, plain and simple. I definitely tend to romanticize angels but Stephanie Jackson has painted them in a slightly different light. They're not all fluffy clouds and harps and not nearly as kind as some of us would like to believe. There are many different kinds of angels (Archangels, Seraphim, and Angels of Peace, Presence, Judgement, Destruction, and War, to name a few). Some are there the help Gabriel and Dani but there are also some there to inadvertently help Lucifer in his quest to destroy the last Daughter of God and bring about the destruction of humanity. I didn't get warm fuzzies from most of the angels including Gabriel in the beginning but he learns to adjust and develops a deep love for Dani.

Our first angel encounter is with Gabriel, God's most beloved Archangel, and learn that he was cast out of heaven many years ago but retains his abilities as well as his loyalty to heaven and is tasked with protecting the last Daughter of God on earth. His goal is to accomplish his mission of destroying Lucifer with the hopes that he'll be once again allowed back through the Gates of Heaven. For those staunch Catholic believers, you may have a little difficulty with some aspects of the story but if you love a good conspiracy then you may enjoy it just as much as I did! Dani is the last Daughter of God, the last living descendant of the Virgin Mary who had a second child, a daughter, after Jesus Christ (also through immaculate conception). Dani is mouthy, she curses, drinks, and she's an atheist.

Gabriel isn't terribly fond of humans, seeing them more as God's favorite toys but he slowly warms up to Dani. He develops conflicting feelings and eventually realizes that he loves her and her sassy self. Dani also slowly warms to Gabriel, developing feelings for him as he discovers his for her. All the while, they're fighting demons and cambion, meeting vampires and vampire hunters, and enlisting the aid of other angels and even a young nephilim.

The Archangel Michael also has a significant presence throughout the story and quickly proves himself to be a loyal brother of Gabriel, offering help as often as he can and vowing to protect Dani for the rest of her life in the event of Gabriel's death. I loved Michael's devotion to them both and he kind of reminded me of a smart-alec younger brother. At the same time, he knew when to turn it off. I definitely had a little crush on him as well. :)

The story moves at a steady pace and I felt like I was falling for Gabriel as Dani was. He initially comes off as abrupt and a little standoffish. He doesn't know how to act around Dani partially because he doesn't care much for humans but also because Dani is about as contrary as they come. She's a smart mouth with an extreme tendency towards sarcasm. She also has no qualms about dropping F-bombs left and right. I like her. :) In the end I thought the final battle was executed well although I was quite sad and a little heartbroken for Dani when Gabriel was killed. Once Michael explained certain things all the pieces clicked into place. I was very happy in the end with the benevolence of God, his forgiveness, and the decision to deem Gabriel worthy of His daughter and bring him back to spend a lifetime with his family.

I think one of my favorite aspects of this story was how sassy Dani was. It was so funny at times that I was literally laughing out loud, which drove my boyfriend crazy. She always had something to say about everything, and Gabriel never knew how to take it and it was just great.

Something else that I liked was the relationship between Michael and Gabriel. I know they are brothers, but sometimes when I think of archangels it is hard for me to imagine them being close. We, or maybe this is something only I do, always think of archangels as very stoic and very much above human emotion. That was not how they were in this book and I really loved it. I love how there is this horrible sibling rivalry between Gabriel and Raphael, and I actually wish that I got to see more interaction between the two of them. And something that I really liked was when Michael and Gabriel had that talk about how Michael had loved a human woman before and how it came down to a choice between the human and heaven. I thought that was a really touching conversation, because it showed me a side to angels that I had never known, and that angels can be just as selfish as humans.

Okay, there might be some spoilers ahead, so go read it! Or if you don't mind, read on!

Something I wasn't sure about was the speed of the romance. I do love insta-love, but this was not instant love but it happened pretty fast. It was a weird length, if it wasn't going to be insta-love then I wanted a bit more of a "getting to know each other romance" faze. But besides that I thought their relationship was pretty good for falling so fast. I also loved how Gabriel defied God in order to be with Dani. It was really perfect.

And all the bad ass fighting, I loved that. I also loved how we got to see all these different kinds of angels. I have always been a bit confused the the hierarchy of angels, but it was definitely nice to see more angels than just the powerful archangels. I also liked it that even the archangels had a hierarchy of their own. One thing with the angels that I was confused about though was the fact that God didn't kill Lucifer because he didn't to kill one of his sons. But he sent Gabriel to kill Satan, meaning he was sending one of his sons to their death, so he was basically killing his son. Dani pointed this out too, and I wish that was somehow addressed or at least explained to Dani.

I am really hoping that Michael will have a book. And I have to say I always love a book where the couple has a baby at the end. I know this might sound dumb to say it, but I feel like when that happens in a book it is showing the ultimate love between the couple.

It was a great book :) I really liked it I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. Now I want to read Stephanie Jackson's other books :)

"Man has created the Rapture. The belief that when the Hour of the Apocalypse comes, God will pull the Righteous into the Heavens; body and all. It's only a myth. Believe me when I tell you that NO ONE is getting off of this world alive. The Apocalypse will happen. The day will come when my Father will cleanse the Earth with Fire. ..Lava will cover the Earth and all its inhabitants will choke to death on black ash or burn in pools of fire; even the Righteous. Only THEN will God proceed with the last Day of Judgement." I absolutely LOVE this quote from a fabulous book When Angels Fall by Stephanie Jackson... Okay now this quote alone won the Author a 5 star rating from me. However it was NOT the only reason and I will do my best to explain without spoiling this wonderful book for anyone.

Dani is a fabulous character; she is mourning the loss of her mother when suddenly she is attacked. Her attacker happens to be a child of a demon and the person who saves her is none other than the Archangel Gabriel. Now I don’t know about you, but if someone said he was an angel I’d probably hit him with a frying pan and that is precisely what Dani is about to do, when another Demon comes to attack her. This convinces her that something she doesn’t understand is going on. I won’t go into anymore I want you to go get this book!

The characters were not only well written but they were strong. Their personalities showed through everything they dealt with. I loved how the archangels cursed just like any other person alive. I loved how she humanized them in that way. I also loved the love affair between Gabriel and Dani and I truly believe that God planned that all out from the very beginning. Well at least that’s my take on it since he is the one who is father to them both.

The storyline itself was fabulous, action packed and fun. I do mean fun to read. I laughed and gasped and even started to tear up when oh can’t say But suffice it to say it gets GOOD!

The only negative that I could find and will actually state is that there are a lot of typographical errors. Words out of order or added in where they don’t belong, spelling mistakes and a few grammatical mistakes but all in all with an edit this book not only has everything you would want in a romance but everything you could want in an angel story. Like I said go get this book, you won’t be disappointed with the story.

So here be foulmouthed angels and sassy Daughter of God - who happened to be an atheist.

When Angels Fall was a really fun read. It was an almost too unoriginal but made better by Gabriel and Michael's dirty mouth and Dani's downright sarcastic comments.
"Gabriel really didn’t care for this woman at all; he found her to be rude, condescending, and crude. She had deep green eyes and long dark red hair. She was beautiful from a human perspective, but he understood why she wasn’t married."

I liked this book despite my utter dislike of cheesy romances and insta-love - which this book has enough. There was something charming about all the characters and their interactions that did me in. Jackson has written something - whose plot though cannot claim to be the most original story out there definitely has something interesting going on for it that can easily reel the reader in.

I liked the way angels were shown in the book - and Gabriel and Michael's relationship. Gabriel's hesitation in killing Lucifer was shown wonderfully as well as the creepy nature of Lucifer too.

I did think the way every human's reaction - except Dani's - to the truth of Gabriel was overkill though.
“It’s the only way to look at it. One of the four Archangels is in my house! Dani said. “If my grandmother was still alive, she’d shit herself."

After that little dose of instalove Gabriel and Dani's relationship improved drastically as the book progressed. My favorite character though, hands down, is Michael. I swear every time the Archangel came to earth I would die of laughing hearing all the shiz that came off his mouth.

Random Michael Quote:
"“It was nice, Michael said, then paused and corrected himself, “No, it was much more than nice. Unless you experience it for yourself, it’s hard to understand why humans perform such a bizarre and messy act when they’re not trying to procreate."

3.5 Stars

This book is perfect book for those looking for a light read with loads of romance going on with that.

When Angels Fall begins with the main character, Dani, visiting her mother's grave. When she is attacked, the angel Gabriel saves her and tells her that he must protect her, because Lucifer is out to kill her.
I received this as an ebook for an honest review, so being honest, I am not a fan of it.
The story idea seemed pretty good at first, but the more the story kept going the less I liked it. I thought the addition of vampires was very random and didn't fit well into the story (though I must say the characters of the vampires and hunters were pretty entertaining, just way out of place). While I enjoyed the different angel appearances, I felt like after a while, the whole legion might as well come down so they could stop popping up every other page. It just didn't flow well. It felt very choppy, and the plot line didn't seem logical after about halfway through the book.
Dani is not my favorite main character. She has a beyond bad temper and seems bipolar at times. Gabriel talked like a whiny child in a lot of the dialogue. The author did give them distinct personalities, and that was done well, I didn't mix anyone up. I just wish they hadn't been so childish and spastic.
With the characters not warming up to me, I just didn't feel a pull into this book. It isn't a long book, but I struggled to get to the end, though I must say, I did like the ending. It wrapped up well, and there weren't loose ends. The ending was nicely sweet and simple.
Smaller things I didn't like started with the first part of the book. For the first few chapters, Dani is constantly injured and attacked by various people (and not "people"), and it gave a very fake impression. Realistically speaking, I don't even think someone with abnormal forces against them would be hurt that repeatedly. The use of italics was also pretty overdone and distracting.
I did like the more subtle hints of the Southern dialect in the story, though the area wasn't described much. I think there might be potential here, but there's a lot of things that need to be worked through in this story.

Okay...this is the first book that I have actively avoided reading because I just couldn't stand it. I think it has been 2-3 days since I have bothered to pick it up to try at least another chapter. And I just don't want to do it.
Now, the premise for this book was not a bad one. And the explanation for why things are the way they are, was also adequate. However, with the focus being on the romance, it is just horrible. He hates her, he loves her. She hates him, she loves him. Not to mention, Dani is the epitome of what Gabriel despises in humanity. So I was rather confused as to where this attraction came from. And I will tell you, it came out of no where. He got a strange emotion from calling Dani by her nickname. Uh? How spontaneous love igniting!
My other problem was that Stephanie had an unhealthy infatuation with italicized words...a lot of them were completely unnecessary and made me want to rip the page out. It was on par with annoying repetitive phrases.
Mm, there were also a few words that were used in places where they did not belong--as in WRONG words. The angels were cast out of Heaven, not casted, for example.
The action started early--which is typically a good thing. My problem with it was that it was short lived, and was rather dull considering the stakes here. I would have expected a lot more brutality given the circumstances of who, and what were after Dani, and why.
In fact, Buddy was more brutal with her...and he wasn't in on the plot.
Ah yes, about him...what was that exactly? A way to beef up the cool factor for Gabriel? Like showing off just how bad ass he was? Because I think that could have been done a heck of a lot more tactfully, and intelligently. And what was the whole thing about telling his mother? Another way to show just how awesome he was because he can heal and smite people, if he so chooses? Again, I think that could have been done in a better way to impress the reader.
I wouldn't recommend this book.

I received a free copy of this in return for an honest review.

I don’t think this was my cup of tea. I think there are going to be lots of people who love this book because I can recognize that it’s not really a bad book. And I can honestly say: it’s not you, it’s me.

I liked how the book started and I think that it had a lot of potential to be much more than it ended up being. I think the world could have been expanded more and that Dani could have played a bigger part in it rather than being the catalyst. They also kept speaking of danger and I never really got a sense of that because of it just became Dani and Gabriel telling each other how much they love each other.

One of my biggest issues was trying to figure out and to connect to where this love was coming from. It wasn’t really insta love but Dani hadn’t done anything out of the usual and before we’re a couple of chapters in Gabriel is totally head over heels. It wasn’t believable to me.

I never really liked characters like Dani. She’s too headstrong, too sassy and just doesn’t listen to anyone. I couldn’t really support Gabriel either, he didn’t really do anything for me. There were also some random vampires and I couldn’t understand where they came from and how it relates to this world of angels etc.

There were also times where the explanation seemed inadequate or contradictory to something that was said previously and that kind of through me off. Also the book can afford to go through another round of editing as I caught a few typos.

The ending was the best part and it was fully engaging even though it felt like there was a bit of a deus ex machina situation going on (but obviously that’s going to happen as the actual G.O.D was involved).

2/5

Jackson has given a very detailed and elaborate description of angels, demons, subspecies, and hierarchies without slowing down or breaking the flow of the story. This is worked right into the storyline to keep the reader engaged while filling them in on all of the necessary details. This novel has a very unique take on angels while simultaneously staying true to traditions.

Jackson’s descriptions were very captivating. You could picture everyone and everything that she wrote about. The story also had a very good flow to it. You never got hung up wondering who was supposed to be where, or what was going on.

The character development in this story is quite in depth. You get to know a great deal about the main characters, their lives, and their histories. The characters in this story are so real that it’s comical at times. You find yourself relating to characters, only to remember that they are supernatural. Jackson manages to write misunderstandings between characters that are somehow simultaneously heartbreaking and comical, while still seeming very realistic. I would have liked to see a bit more development in the supporting cast. For the most part, they seem to be simply names on paper.

As a whole, I absolutely loved this story. Unfortunately there were a few too many spelling and grammatical errors for me to give it the higher star rating that the storyline deserved.

Please note that I received this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review.

can someone please make this a 4.5? Please!!

Review: When Angels Fall by Stephanie Jackson. Wow. Just wow. That was so cool. I don’t know where to start. I loved it. I can say I was intrigued from the beginning, and the titbits of information kept me riveted. Dani is the best. That mouth of hers! And the things she said! Wonderful. She is brave and strong and does not back down for anyone or anything. Plus she packs a mean punch. This book made me smile, laugh and even cry. And I never cry. When Gabriel died there were copious amounts of snot, (Can I even say that?) and because I never cry, there was no tissue’s either!! Gabriel is such a mix of superiority, yet there is a touch of boyish charm and his love for Dani is awe inspiring. He was totally committed to his decision and he saw it through to the end. I want to commend the author. I have not read any of her books before, so I don’t know if all the characters mentioned come from her other book. If they do, well done for mentioning them again and making me want to meet them, and if they don’t come from other books, then I suggest you get writing because there were an intriguing lot! I think that maybe in this book I found something just about as good as happy endings, and that is forgiveness.

This book had a very creative take on the christian belief system, providing a very interesting plot, that made the romance that much more interesting. The main characters were fleshed out and likable, though I wish I knew more about the side characters (of whom i found extremely interesting). Wes cracked me up every time . ÌýOverall I liked this book for its interesting story and sarcastic characters.

This book was kind of all over the place. The best part was the lore involved, it was interesting and you can tell the author did some research. However, I didn't feel the love between these two. Mr. Archangel here seemed to be so meh about humans then BAM is in love with one after a few days. Not just love, but to the point of giving up everything for her. Mostly, all they did was fight and fight. I wished more could have been done with the daughter of God aspect, like give her more power. All she could really do is 'forgive' anyone and send them to heaven. The book never swayed on him and his opinion on killing humans. He believe it is what he was born to do, and he will judge them and kill them with no shame. I did like the HEA though, but this could have been edited more to be better and more cohesive.

Between 3 and 4 stars.

The plot: Dani is the last of the "Blood of God" left alive on earth now her mother is dead. It means that all hell will literally break lose and she will be chased by Lucifer's minions.
The Archangel Gabriel has to redeem himself to enter Heaven's gate again. He is on a mission to protect Dani and finally kill Lucifer, what he failed to accomplish eon ago. What Gabriel didn't plan was to fall in love with Dani. He'll fight for her life not to be allowed to Heaven again or protect mankind but because she is the love of his life. Their big ally throughout will be the Archangel Michael.
Battles with Cambions (evil demon's offsprings), with minor and major demons, game of hide-and-seek will follow until the final combat to death with the Morning Star. Add some vampires, vampire hunters and witches and you've got a whole paranormal world.

It's a fast read, packed with action and often downright funny!

Here are some of my favourite quotes, enjoy!

1)When Gabriel has fallen to earth , he is stark-naked what bothers Dani so here is their banter: "Tell me why you're fucking naked?" "When you fall from Heaven, you do so nude. I'm sorry if it offends you but I haven't had time to find clothing yet" " But here in the South we consider it rude to wag your wang in a lady's face!".

2)Gabriel is despairing to see awe in Dani's eyes when she realises that he really is an Archangel. He basks a few moments in her admiration and then she says "One of the four Archangels is in my house! If my grandmother was still alive, she'd shit herself!". It would have been nice if it had lasted more then a few seconds ;-))

3)And a last one, when Dani meets Michael for the first time speaking with Gabriel in her kitchen she says " You're sitting in my kitchen butt booty naked. Thanks for getting your Holy ass sweat all over the seat of my chair by the way". And Michael replies: "I promise I didn't fart on it!".

As for the main characters: Dani is an atheist so it will take a couple of Cambion's attacks to make her believe in angels and God. She is strong, a smartass and is not impressed at all by angels or even God. She is also a truly a good person and is prompt to forgive because her mum told her that "the best way to move on with her life is to forgive the people that had wrong her. Not for them but for herself".
At first, Gabriel was condescending, seeing humans nearly as "Earth monkeys" but he'll soon warm to humans once falling in love with Dani.

All in all, I give it a 3,5 stars. I could give a 4 stars but it took me time to really be convinced by the sudden love of Gabriel. I usually prefer to delve a little bit more in people's emotions and introspection in order to truly feel their emotions and thoughts, to be engrossed in them. But it still remains a good paranormal read.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the beginning and the end of this book...but the in between not so much. I thought the author did a great job at the beginning of building the relationship between Dani and Gabriel. I thought the first love scene was great and added to their relationship. However, the second love scene - or should I call it sex scene - turned their relationship to a lust relationship for me. I didn't understand the whole lingerie thing...and why an angel would think that is the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen in his life. I really just thought it was unnecessary.

Also, what fell apart for me in the middle was the sudden appearance of vampires and vampire hunters, I did not understand how they fit into this world and many things were not explained once they came into the book. In the middle of the book events would occur out of no where and I was not sure what was going on in some places and would go back to see what I missed, and in fact I missed nothing - it just wasn't explained. There were a lot of characters introduced but with most of the characters, outside of the four main ones, there was really no character development with them.

What also drove me crazy was that sometime the angels would speak very proper and then others they were using the f bomb and a bunch of slang. Their communication was not consistent.

I actually liked Dani, although I think at some points she was too one note. It was all vulgarity and sex with her, but she was a strong woman most of the time.

Also, I edit a lot of documents for my job and the fact that this was not edited drove me absolutely insane. I pick up on every one of the mistakes and I just wanted to get out a red pen and start editing the book to death!

All in all, I rather enjoyed the story and the way the book ended. I feel like it is the beginning of a great story, and if flushed out more and refined, could be a great read. I feel like the author needs to tie up some of these loose ends or get rid of them completely as they don't add to the story line.

Thanks to GR & Stephanie Jackson for the opportunity to read this. It took me some time to write this review because I was having trouble putting into words what I thought about this book. Overall it was a good romance with some humor thrown in and some excellent fight scenes. I would give it 3.5 stars.

Ms. Jackson presents an interesting take on Christianity’s beliefs while offering a creative take on hierarchical structure of angels, demons, and other species. This leaves readers with a lot to ponder about the things they have read and been taught as well as the real connection between mortals and angels.

While I loved the story idea, I had a bit of a hard time believing the love connection between Dani and Gabriel. I believe in strong instant connections, but this story didn't portray this. I am going with the thin line between love and hate theory here. While I can see why Dani fell for Gabriel (the hummingbirds come to mind here) I had a bit of trouble understanding what he saw in her. Starting with an initial dislike of mortals, then having to protect Dani, who had already lost her faith in God, while she was going through the emotional rollercoaster of grief certainly made the whole situation a challenge. I guess it was God’s plan all along, so divine intervention makes sense.

The relationship among the archangels was a pleasant surprise. Seems the ideas of corruption and deception run rampant through heaven too. As in most families there was also a bit of sibling rivalry and dysfunction. I was impressed with way Michael had Gabriel’s back without hesitation the way a brother would. The Gabriel/Michael chats were some of my favorite parts of the story. I would have like to see more Gabriel/Raphael interaction too.
〶Ä
A big negative was the amount of grammatical errors. It was a bit distracting but did not deter the reader from the main story. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Jackson’s work and hope that Michael will have a book.

Overall, this book was a pretty good read for its genre of paranormal romance, and it was a fun distraction from day to day things. The writing was not exceptional, but it succeeded in the purpose for which it was written and told an enjoyable tale with developed characters who change as the story unfolds. Within the genre, I'm willing to forgive the massive transition from I despise you to I love you. Magnetic attraction that was destined to be? Sure! So, if you are up for an easy romance novel about mortals and angels, I would recommend this book to you.

Now why am I not giving this 4 stars then? I had two issues with this book. First of all, I couldn't really believe that a character that could beat up a demon spawn could have ended up in the hospital so easily. There seemed to be an inconsistency with her tolerance, anger, and fighting ability. Mainly, Dani was weak when the writer needed to show off something about Gabriel's feelings or abilities. Second, there was a major choppy jump to the vampire section. While the reason for going there is explained, the introduction to these characters, though interesting, was very abrupt and vague. It was like I was supposed to know who they were before reading this chapter. After looking up the author, I see that she has other books with those characters, but I shouldn't need to have read books from another series to make this novel flow.

Feedback to the author:
*There are some grammatical errors throughout so an additional editor may be helpful, for example fallen angels would be cast down not casted. Also, double check homonyms their/there and your/you're.
*I would recommend a better introduction and transition when you introduce a set of new characters. You did a great job when only introducing one or two characters like Donna and Michael.

4 1/2 Stars! I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Danielle Coulter (Dani to her friends) has just lost her mother. Now she finds herself attacked by a stranger only to be rescued by a naked stranger! He has some unbelievable things to tell her not the least of which is that he is there to protect her as she is the last Daughter of God. What happens then is a roller coaster ride of angels, demons, and biblical characters thrown into new lights. The author takes plenty of license in explaining biblical stories, and "correcting" what has always been thought about different things. Some gratuitous language, but nothing over the top.

I really enjoyed this book. It had me giggling so much at some points that I know my family thought I had lost my mind. Dani is a strong yet snarky heroine. Once she realizes that Gabriel is who he says he is and that he is telling her the truth, she deals with the dangers better than most people would in her place. Gabriel initially wants nothing more to do with this human other than to do his duty to her until he can have his final battle. After all, he is an Archangel, and they are soooo much above mere mortals. He quickly discovers that THIS human at least is much more than he has always thought humans to be. If you enjoy your immortal deity good vs evil books with plenty of humor, this book is for you.

I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.

Firstly I would like to thank Stephanie Jackson, author of When Angels Fall for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this awesome book.

I'm thrilled to say that I really enjoyed this book and I was waiting a long time for it to be offered for reviewing and I quickly signed up for it and let me tell you guys this book didn't disappoint me at all rather it totally surprised me by surpassing my expectations.

The whole concept of the last daughter of Gods on earth is really awesome and the sizzling and passionate love between Gabriel and Dani really won my heart and it brought new colors out of the story making it more interesting.

The action scenes are awesome making the story an intriguing read and I sat on the edge of the sofa gripping my e-reader firmly while the author brought unpredictable twists and turns though out the book.

Dani's emotional outbreak on losing her mother is perfectly brought out to the readers by the author's skilled and enriched words making us feel for her and the humorous touch that the story got really excited me a lot.

All in all a great read that will take you to the world of angels where a brother will have to stand up against his brother in order to save the only girl she loves whereas we see the evil brother crossing every limits to harm the girl whom his brother loves. Really awesome and bet that you guys will love it.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 unicorns - I loved it!

**Gifted to me by S.O.S Publishing for an honest review

This the 3rd novel of Stephanie’s that I’ve read, and it did not disappoint. It even had some of my favorite characters from the Blood Thirst series Wes, Potter, & Jenny make a guest appearance. This book was action packed from the start, and I read the whole thing within a day because I just couldn’t put it down but did take a 4 hour nap at 5am. I need to stop starting my books at 10pm lol :) This book has cemeteries, a Daughter of God, God, angels, archangels, vampires, vampire hunters, demons, flying, teleporting, injuries galore, battles, smiting, a mile high club scene and so much. I totally love Dani because she gives as good as she gets in a fight whether verbally or physically. I hope Dani, Gabriel, and Michael make more guest appearances in the Blood Thirst series because the characters are awesome, and I want more of them.

I love Stephanie’s style of writing because it is an emotional rollercoaster, but she has humor in there that has you laughing out loud. Of course, this is an adult book with some steamy scenes.

If you read her Blood Thirst series and enjoyed it, you will definitely enjoy this book. This is a must read for paranormal book lovers. Now I want my own Archangel :)

After reading Rapture by Lauren Kate, I’ve been burned for angel books. I’ve been so afraid that a happy ending just wasn’t possible, but this book actually has a happy ending. And not to be snide or intending a pun, but Thank God!

As every page progressed, I found myself caring more and more for Dani and Gabriel and hoping that there would be a happy ending somewhere in there.

I found Dani to be stronger than your typical whiny YA heroine. Gabriel started out as a snotty “I’m better than you because I’m an angel., but quickly got cut down to size. One of my favorite quotes is from the beginning of the book:

“Gabriel? As in the Archangel Gabriel? she asked in a little bit of the awe that Gabriel had been waiting for.

“Yes, he said.

“Wow, you’re like a really upper level angel.

“I guess that’s one way to look at it, Gabriel said.

“It’s the only way to look at it. One of the four Archangels is in my house! Dani said. “If my grandmother was still alive, she’d shit herself!

And…the awe was gone.

There were a few grammatical and spelling errors in there that threw me, but it didn’t detract from the story line at all. Totally loved the book, will definitely be reading this one again.

I want to thank Stephanie for giving me the opportunity to read her book and rate it. I loved her book from the moment I picked it up to the last page. She took on a new twist with the interplay between angels and mortals and I loved how she also incorporated the world of vampires, demons and ghosts into the story. It was easy to fall for Gabriel and I loved the moments in the book between him and Michael. I probably would have given this book a five except for her female lead. While I understood the character and what made her who she was I found myself frustrated with her stupid decisions that often put her at risk. I also found it difficult to understand why Gabriel was willing to give up Heaven for her, to be honest I think more depth could have been added to her character to make Gabriel's decision more believable. Still it was a minor flaw easily overlooked considering the story flowed without disruption and my attention was held from beginning to end. I would recommend this book and hope she has a sequel because there were some unanswered questions regarding the scene with the vampires and the resolution between the brothers I would like to see explained.

I was given this book for an honest review. Sorry but this book just didn't work for me. Could be the crappy week I had or the fact that I just read another book that I enjoyed so much more, but this one was a struggle to get into and just didn't work for me. The idea has potential and obviously there are others that did enjoy the book, so at the price it is listed for don't let me stop you from giving it a shot. Here are the main problems I had with it. I was given a Kindle version so I had to read it on my computer, wish there was a Nook or Smashwords version, but this isn't really a problem with the book. The dialog felt juvenile at times or just off. The overuse of italics was annoying and disrupted my reading flow. It wasn't the worst book I've read, but I found myself constantly struggling to stay focused on the story. There wasn't I character that I cared enough about to move the story along for me. Despite my opinion of the book, I wish the author good luck and I hope the story does well for her and finds a niche in the reading community.

This one gets 3.5 stars from me

In addition to being a fanatic of the YA paranormal genre, I am also a hopeless romantic and all the mushy-gooey love stuff puts a huge smile on my face, whether it's in real-life or in a book and this book gave it to me in bucket-loads!

I really enjoyed what an easy read this was! I finished it within a day. The storyline was fast-paced and intriguing. There were a few differences to the general angels stuff out there which was refreshing

The story is about Danielle and Gabrielle - she is the last descendent of God on Earth and he is the Arch Angel charged with her protection to ensure the survival of the human race (Did an eye-roll at myself for how much I wanted to read this book after reading the cheesy synopsis of this book - but that's me - and I'm always in the mood for cheesy). In the end I found the story endearing rather than cheesy

He falls in love with her and she with him as a story of Lucifer; demons; banished angels; vampires and vampire slayers alike unfolds...

Like I said, really enjoyed

When I saw this book, I was not sure that I should buy it but when I read the little blurb, I was intrigued. I am very glad that I did purchase it because it was wonderful. Having grown up attending a religious school, I could relate to many of the references in the story. I loved the fact that the angels were so common but with that arrogance that would be natural for a superior being. The author made me love and hate Gabriel at the same time. I thought how she played out the roles and relationships of the four archangels were very interesting. It was fun having some of the paranormal beings in the story that actually made sense and helped fill in some of the gaps. I did not see the ending coming out the way it did and that was a big surprise. This book is certainly worth reading if you like stories about angels, hope and forgiveness. I really enjoyed the entire book and there was nothing in it that I would change, it was a very good story that captured me from the beginning.

I really liked this story. I could not start it when I intended to, but when I finally started, I could not put it down. I love angel stories, but the whole story was very well written.
I liked that it was a story about an angel and the last bloodline of God. The girl was a little sassy and snarky, but I think it was very well explained why she was that way. The love story was a little fast, but I think that their situation and being around each other constantly will do that.
There where a few little things that, to me, did not add up, but they were not gaping plotholes, so I let it slide for the sake of the story. That's why I gave it 3 stars and not 4. But it was over all a very good story, well written, with lots of action, backstory and there are more then a few moments where I had to laugh out loud. I also liked the fact that God was not the God even angels perceived. In a good way of course. If you like angels and love stories, then this is a book for you.

It's been a very long time since I've read a book that has made me all goose bumpy, teary eyed, and is just an all around "feel good" book. Hubby just shook his head at me. In fact, we got into some really good conversations in about The Bible and the movie Legion.

I LOVED Dani! She's a scrapper and smart alec and I really adored her. I can say that I may have reacted the same way to some of the predicaments she found herself in.

This book had everything I love in a book and then some. It had a TON of humor, Vampires, demons, Angels etc....., plus a love story that made me swoon. I love how the author took religious stories and put her own twist on things. She actually took the time to dissect them, and it made the book that much better.

I received this book for an honest review, and I can honestly say that I am going to recommend it to all of my friends. I loved it THAT much! Can hardly wait to start the next one, and will do so right after I hit save.

*I recieved this book in exchange of a honest review from the group

Wow, I didn't expect this book to be so good. This book had me hooked, and wanting more. Gabriel is my favorite character in this book. He was willing to loose his chance to go back to heaven for Danielle...Wow. I couldn't put this book down. Between Gabriel and and all of the action, I was hooked. The author has written a book that I have fell in love with. I loved all of the characters, and how Gabriel could strike everyone down in a flash. Thanks for this amazing book. I am a fan! Make sure to pick up this book, it is really amazing!
