Beyond Jealousy

Rate this book
She’s been looking for the perfect man. She found two.

When Rachel Riley sacrificed a life in Eden to protect the O’Kanes, she earned her place in the powerful Sector Four gang. But the former crime princess is tired of being everyone’s sweet little sister . It’s time for her to get wild, to embrace her fantasies as only an O’Kane can—with a delicious exiled soldier and the gang’s wickedly sinful tattoo artist.

A saint...

Lorenzo Cruz is a warrior, taught by his commanding officers in Eden that involvement equals distraction. Emotion is a liability, and desire a sin. In Sector Four, he finds decadence, shameless sex—and his own dark urges. No battle strategy prepared him for how Rachel makes his heart race…or the way his rival for her affections sets his blood on fire.

...and a sinner.

Ace Santana has a dirty reputation and a mind to match, especially where his new lovers are concerned. He’s eager to help Cruz embrace his dominant side, and to explore the lines between pleasure and pain with Rachel. But corrupting them quickly becomes an obsession, a need he can’t deny—and a love he never imagined.

Three hearts on the line means a hundred ways their ménage a trois could go wrong. After all, even O’Kanes do forever two-by-two. One of them could be the missing piece that makes them all whole…or a temporary diversion destined for a broken heart.

Once upon a time, two best friends decided to write paranormal romance. And while that was awesome, they also sometimes wanted to write insanely dirty stuff that wasn’t paranormal at all. This is that stuff.

Kit Rocha is the dystopian-erotic-romance writing alter-ego of writing duo .

EDIT (31/3/2020): This book brought me to this series. And I have to say that after years this book is still very much fun.
Definitely not like anything I've ever read before. But I have to say that sometimes it felt like Ace was playing the third wheel to Cruz and Rachel.

Original:
This was damn good! I like this... couple? Trio? Almost as much as I like Noelle&Jas and Dallas&Lex. I actually prefer Ace. Anyway, it was awesome! :) It's almost 5*, but if I gave 5* to this, I would have to change to 5* too.

EDIT: Re-read time. (2/24/2017)

I still remember that this was the book that brought me to this series. I remember wishing after I read the blurb that: 'Hope that she will choose the sinner.'
The outcome was better than I expected. :D And the rating changed.

"You got your saint, Rae. Just...promise me you need a sinner, too."

Ace, Rachel and Cruz were inevitable, the how or the whys weren’t important but on things for sure, the tension between the three couldn’t last for much longer. They all have a past with each other, but it seems that no matter how hard they try to save the other from themselves the more they end up hurting the ones they care about most. They finally decide that it’s time to take the risk and see where this could all lead; someone is bound to get hurt but that doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy the ride

Ace the former whore now temperamental artist, who hides behind his smile and his charm, is a lover not a fighter, but when it comes to loving himself he is his own worst enemy
"I love easy," he corrected, grinding the words into his own heart like a reminder. "I love fast. I love everyone. But it's not hard, and it's not deep. It never was, and it's never enough."

Cruz the Hero, Eden’s very own breed, he needs to be in control, needs to protect those around him and has desires so twisted he only is free to explore if Ace is by his side. Tormented with Eden’s belief, he lets his conscious get the best of him, it may feel right but deep down he is scared of what it says about him.
"I'm giving him to you, and I'm giving you to him. I decide how fast, how deep, how hard. I decide all of it, don't I?"

Rachel is a bootlegger’s daughter, sacrificed to save her father’s business, she is thrown out of Eden where she finds a family amongst the O’Kanes. She has a need to be free and explore her sexuality but she desires not one man but two, how selfish could she be To be cherished and worshiped by these two men, who she loves equally.
"She may be in ribbons now, but she was in leather last night."

This is all new to them, a relationship of three that manages to work; where Cruz is in control of the dynamics of the relationship, Ace is the one that sets them free and Rach whose love binds them together. But a relationship as unique as this requires trust and honesty, and if you can’t be honest with yourself how can you be honest with the ones you love. Is it possible to love someone so much that you feel unworthy of their affection?
"That was the trade-off, Ace. You could have had us both, all of us. All that filthy sex, all that love. But we pay in honesty. And if you can't do that, all we end up with is heartbreak and jealousy."

On top of their newly founded relationship the O’Kanes are still dealing with someone who is selling a counterfeit version of their whiskey, using their special talents, they need to find how is dealing and make an example that no one messes with the O’Kanes.

Beyond Jealousy was true to form, an erotic ride, from beginning to end, full of lust, passion and doubts. Ace, Rach and Cruz finally let go of their inhibitions and explore their wildest fantasies, no limits, just pure bliss; it was like a never ending orgasm. There is a story here too, may not be as much as people are used to, but come on, they are O’Kanes through-and-through, if they aren’t fighting, their drinking or fucking, plain and simple. When it comes to communicating with words they have no clue what to do, because voicing your weakness is a vulnerability no one is brave enough to take, and each of them has to risk losing in order to win. Awesome read as always and I’m looking forward to the novella, that comes out next month while I wait for the fifth book, .

4 Beyond Hot Stars

She’s been looking for the perfect man. She found two. A saint and a sinner...

First off, I should say that this book wasn't much more than sex, sex, some violence, sex, sex again, some more violence, sex, sex, and more sex. And DAMN it was HOT! Seriously the 4 stars are mostly because of how hot the sex was and for Ace whom I love and I want his babies!

We've been watching Rachel, Ace and Cruz circle around each other for a while now and the moment they finally got together was very satisfying and completely explosive.

But while Rachel has decided to finally cut the bullshit and go all in, her boys have to fight with their demons to completely commit to this relationship.

Cruz has just started exploring the part of himself that enjoys sex and domination and he is still unsure on whether or not he should allow himself to let go. The fact that Ace is his brother at arms makes things more complicated because the one rule that should never be broken in his life in the military is the "no fraternisation between brothers at arms" not because of taboos or prejudice but because in the field it could cause mistakes and become dangerous. Can he trust himself and Ace enough to really commit in their relationship and love both Rachel and him?

Ace was trained to become a whore but he always had the soul of an artist. He never really excelled in saling tales of love to his clients without finding ways to make them true for the time they wanted him. That left him with a warped opinion of what it is to really love. He believes that no one is capable of loving him long term and that he doesn't deserve it anyway. So when he enters the relationship with Cruz and Rachel he believes that he is only there as a buffer, as the means to make them realise their desires and help them learn how to make them come true. But they can't really love him because they are perfect and he is flawed... Can they?

Beyond Jealousy positively reeked of discomfort with the manlove.

Second let down.

Ace is Mr. Flogger. Mr. I love chains and all his does is spank her?

description

While I'm on the subject, Kit Rocha need to spread their kink wings. Biting, D/s, hair pulling, a little breath play and the rare spanking is getting T.I.R.E.D.

I will give credit where credit is due and say I liked the relationship development between them, aside from the lack of the anticipated rough mansex. All the protective feels Cruz had for both of them made me warm and gooey inside. Getting to know the backstory of Ace and Cruz and what they've endured was another high point. Most importantly, I think they're all bringing something to the table which, I believe, increases their chances for longevity.

Shenanigans abounded not only in Sector Four but the others as well which kept the pacing up. A few new and verra verra intriguing characters were introduced. It seems Sector Four may be on the brink of an all out war.

FOREWARNING: Ends on a cliff.

I can't quit Sector Four. Right now I'm still sulking and licking my wounds, so I gotta peace out for now.

Somewhere between 3-3.5 Stars which could be revised later when I'm not so fussy and butt hurt.

Oh my fucking god! This is my favorite book in the series! It’s just amazing! Just imagine Ace and Cruz and Rachel and what fucked up stuff they have to get over together. It’s 10 times more than that :D I went through all the emotional range with this one: I cried, I laughed, I was horny, I was mad[ok, enraged], I was scared, I was straight up happy It was a pleasure to read and I couldn’t put it down, not even to sleep[I fell asleep with my ereader in hand].
The book starts with a bang: Rachel watching Cruz beat the crap out of 3 dudes in the cage *fans self* and it continues like that. The 3 of them are lovely characters apart, but together well, expect an explosion :D I love how Ms. Rocha has them all work through their problems, they aren’t perfect and they don’t NEED to be to be loved, I think that’s the most important thing.
Rachel is a strong woman, compassionate and just a beat weary of relationship. She wasn’t always like that, but Ace being an idiot, damaged her a little. We see her open up again and trusting him and Cruz, and what they can give her. She’s lost herself a bit, but she’s not afraid to fight for what she wants. Cruz is from Eden and, more importantly, he was an elite soldier. In this book we see the culmination of him accepting himself, his needs and the people who matter the most to him. Ace, he’s the most fucked up of them all. He doesn’t believe he can be loved, he is convinced he’s so damaged, broken that they wouldn’t even want to try! He’s used to step in, give pleasure, share himself superficially and then get out. That’s not that happens and I’m happy that they accept him even after he takes such a stupid, stupid decision.
This book has it all: very, VERY hot sex, Rachel and the boys are on fire! We find out who was counterfeiting O’Kane liqueur[morons, all of them], we meet Rachel’s dad[she’s so better of without him if you ask me], we catch up to Dallas and Lex, to Trix and Jade, we find a bit about Mad and his history[heartbreaking] This book is THE SHIT!
Oh, and when you see how it ends you’ll just want to go to Ms. Rocha’s home and beg her, BEG I say, to tell you what happens next :D

The authors provided me with an ARC of this book. A review was not promised in exchange, however, I like to talk about books, and these are my honest thoughts on this one.

Okay, so here's my checklist of what I expect out of a visit to sector four:

1. Hot, hot, hot, smokin' hot sex scenes.
2. strong female characters and big tough alpha dudes
3. ink
4. seamless motherfucking world-building

So here we are in book four, and we have an MMF menage between my favorite, Ace, his unrequited lady-love, Rachel, and smoldering former-military-now-O'Kane, Cruz.

Let's go ahead and check boxes one through four--Kit Rocha delivers every time.

Let's ignore *my* jealousy--because it's really undignified that I want to scratch out the eyes of a fictional character and steal her menfolk. (but seriously, Ace and Cruz are off the charts hot-- )

What I enjoyed most about this story was the continued political/social/military plot. The authors are obviously gearing up for something HUGE, and it's fun putting all the little pieces of the world together.

When it comes to the relationship plot, I really enjoyed Ace's vulnerability, Rachel's sexual abandon, and Cruz sort of reprogramming his Eden upbringing. Also, the sex scenes were, I'm at risk of repeating myself, smoking hot.

Now, 99.9% of what I read is M/M fiction. I occasionally read het romances, and also some lesbian romances, but most of what I read is M/M. It is refreshing to me to see a bisexual menage written by a primarily M/F author(s) which actually shows the men interacting both sexually and emotionally with each other as well as the woman without relegating her to third wheel. They were a true triad.

That said, I wouldn't have minded seeing a little more guy on guy action. But I'm greedy like that.

Recommended for fans of post-apocalyptic/dystopian novels, and those who enjoy bisexual erotica. Please note, you should probably read the first three books in sequence before reading this one.

This rating makes me sadface because I was so looking forward to Ace and Rachel's story. I don't get why I'm having a good book/not so good book/good book/not so good book rotation with this series. I hope this means that I love the next book, but I might have to wait a minute to find out because I need a break right now.

Onward to my main complaint: Prior to Beyond Jealousy there was a huge buildup of how Ace and Rachel were meant to be. Then we finally get here, and Ace ends up taking a backseat for much of the story, until he's finally made to feel loved and wanted.

I needed more connection throughout the entire book with Ace and Rachel as a couple. The method of delivery here didn't feel satisfying to me at all. It was hard not to miss the element of Ace and Rachel having time to connect and grow together. That's sort of what you expect when you wait for a book.

I'm still not sure how I felt about the threesome. It's not that I disapproved of the direction (part of me was hoping for one after Cruz was introduced), but I think that I found myself feeling disenchanted with all of it after I realized how much the threesome had stolen from the "meant to be" leaning of Ace and Rachel of book 1 before Cruz came along. I don't even mind threesomes when they're done right, but it's a rare occasion to actually see a three-way-HEA done right. With Beyond Jealousy, the entire scenario came off feeling forced instead of organic.

Ah well. I'll take that short break for a bit, then come back hoping for a better book 5.

Original Review

Holy shit this book was AMAZING!

I am such a huge fan girl of Kit Rocha's Beyond series and I have been impatiently waiting for Ace's book since the moment we first met him in Beyond Shame so to say I had high expectations for this book is a complete understatement. Usually my high expectations would make me nervous about picking up a book but in this case I had no doubt that the authors would blow me away and I'm happy to say that they definitely delivered. Beyond Jealousy is my new favourite book in the series, I'm still Ace's biggest fan but I'm now also just as big a fan of Cruz!! Rachel is one lucky, lucky girl - what I wouldn't give to swap places with her!

Rachel has been in love with Ace for a long time but he kept on pushing her away until she was convinced that he didn't care about her at all. She may have been heart broken but Cruz was always there on the sidelines ready to take care of her and we'd already seen her start to fall more than a little in love with him too. The trouble is that she's never forgotten Ace and he still holds a huge piece of her heart and when she finds out that Cruz and Ace are happily sharing women but that neither of them have invited her to join them she is hurt but equally determined to make them realise that she is more than capable of handling them both.

Cruz was an elite soldier from Eden and was raised very conservatively, it goes against everything he was brought up to believe in to be attracted to another man but that doesn't stop him being drawn to Ace. He loves Rachel but he needs Ace too and he is the kind of guy who will fight to the death to get what he wants. Cruz knows that Ace and Rachel are wary of starting a relationship, especially one involving three people, but that isn't going to stop him - especially since he knows how good they could be together. I loved how determined he was to fight for what he wanted and the way he is able to read both Rachel and Ace so well. He is the perfect guy to help them both to work through their issues and he is smart enough to realise that there is nothing wrong with the way he feels for the two of them. I was actually surprised at how dominant Cruz was, I'd kind of expected Ace to be the one who took most of the control but it was a pleasant surprise to see Cruz was able to shake things up a bit.

For all the show that Ace puts on he is actually the most messed up one of them all, he was trained from a young age in the art of pleasure and spent years using his body to earn his living. It left him feeling dirty and with incredibly low self esteem. Ace just doesn't see himself worthy of love and is convinced that he isn't good enough for either Rachel or Cruz. He wants them so much that it terrifies him because if they rejected him it would break his heart so he tries to keep them at a distance. He convinces himself that he is just in the relationship for the short term and that it is his job to get Rachel and Cruz together and then walk away so they can be happy without him. His lack of self worth absolutely broke my heart and I was so pleased that both Rachel and Cruz could see through his defensive layers and understand what was going on with him. Ace makes a few incredibly stupid decisions but that doesn't stop the others from loving him and they both fight for him with all their hearts.

Beyond Jealousy was probably the most emotionally wrenching book in the series, there is a lot of self doubt and difficulty on all sides as the three of them try to figure out how to make their relationship work. That's not to say it's all difficult between them because in a lot of ways they fit together perfectly from the very beginning. They certainly know how to make things work in the bedroom and HOT DAMN this was the sexiest book yet (which is saying something if you've read any of the others!). I don't think there are going to be many people who wouldn't want to be in Rachel's place after reading this book, she has not just one but two incredibly sexy guys who want to give her the world and I'm more than a little jealous of her!

There is also plenty going on in the rest of the O'Kane world, Dallas is hot on the heels of the people who are creating bootlegged O'Kane liquor and the whole gang are in danger as they work together to put a stop to them. The O'Kane women get a chance to shine when they fight their own battle and OMG the ending has made me absolutely desperate to get my hands on Trix's story - I really, really need it NOW! If you haven't started this series yet then I really don't know what you're waiting for - it is an absolutely fantastic one that pushes boundaries in all the best ways and I can't recommend ALL of the books highly enough. I would recommend reading them in order so start at Beyond Shame and work your way forward - I promise you won't regret it.

I'm totally addicted to this whole series but I think this is still my favourite. I've loved Ace from the beginning but combine him with Cruz and they are explosive. I so badly want to swap places with Rachel, she's one lucky, lucky girl LOL.

Fans of the Beyond series by Kit Rocha have all been waiting for BEYOND JEALOUSLY on pins and needles. All the sexual tension that has been building up over the past three books: Cruz loves Rachel but is attracted to Ace, Rachel loves Ace but wants Cruz too, Ace determined to keep Rachel at an arm’s length but pulls Cruz close, round and round we go in all that delicious sexual goodness has finally reached a boiling point and explodes in this powerful book. Thankfully for all you Beyond fans this book does not disappoint! Dare I say this book is my favorite of the series which is saying something because BEYOND CONTROL was off the chain! From the first few pages this book puts you through the wringer, the scene with Ace and Rachel out in the hallway about kills me. Ace has far more depth to his character then was ever shown before; he’s a bit heartbreaking in his loneliness and his self-value. But for me, it’s Cruz, it always has been. He is complex, a protector, dominate and so very sexy! I foresee a lot of people jumping onto the Cruz bandwagon after this book, and I just have to say I had him FIRST! I’ve been on #teamcruz since we first met him. People always underestimate the quite one in favor of the more colorful (Ace) but its Cruz who dominates this ménage. For reals, he is the dominating force; he dictates both Ace and Rachel when it comes to sexy times. He calls the shots. I thought Ace would have a more dominate role in the bedroom but he is content to let Cruz call all of the shots. Rachel, that lucky bitch, what I wouldn’t do to be in the middle of an Ace, Cruz sandwich! Or be one of the pieces of bread in a Cruz, Ace Rachel sandwich, whatever the case may be and with these three any combination of sandwich is bound to happen. I’ve likes Rachel from the beginning of this series, she’s a sweetheart and has lots of love to give she was being torn in two for a while but she definitely got with the program when nudged in the correct direction. It turns out to be Ace that drags his feet the most, everything he wants is right in front of him, but he doesn’t feel like he’s worthy enough to take it. We run a full gauntlet of emotions with this book, I was close to tears, happy, laughing, sad, on the edge of my seat, everything. Wildly entertained from beginning to end, so far this is one of my favorite books of the year! Each book in the Beyond Series by Kit Rocha gets better but this one is going to be hard to beat.

“If I didn't love you both, this wouldn't be so fucking hard.
This book is everything I wanted it to be and so much much much more. 5 I am beyond jealous stars.

Now you see Ms. Rocha did a fantastic job with Beyond Pain and if I had to choose between that book and this one I couldn't. Beyond Pain is refreshing because they are true to one another. But this Beyond Jealousy is more.
When it Comes to love there are no boundaries.

Ace acts like he is happy with life where his scars run deep,he doesn't have a high opion of himself when it comes to truly opening up. He was trained to be like Jared and Gia but he isn't built that way. Ace always tried to push Rachel away.

“His illicit allure would wear thin eventually, and the hero always got the girl.

Since Rachel took the fall for her father she has been an O'Kane and has been accepted. She is fed up with Ace, he ground her heart into dust. Rachel was hot and heavy with Cruz because her loyalties were split.

“Separately, the two men drove her crazy, twisted her into knots of longing and thwarted desire. But together
Together, they’d give her everything.

Cruz took a fall from Eden and all his ideals changed with that how I felt with wanting Rachel and Ace.

“Rachel and Ace had been on a collision course since long before he’d met them. If he didn’t want to end up left behind, he had to be between them when they finally crashed together.

Ms. Rocha not only displays an eye for the chemistry with the three but it spreads to the whole story. At one point I felt that I was in Gangs of New York film.

Me, while reading Beyond Jealousy on my iPad

Good thing I have that screen protector...

The only thing I can say is that this book is hot. I had never read erotica before this year but I have certainly made up for lost time and this series (and this book specifically) has been the best I have read so far.
Nothing is off limits in these books and the way Kit Rocha writes the characters...
It makes me blush just thinking about them.
And I'm not a delicate flower.
I like that even though I don't personally get into the kink in most of these books they are still written in a way so that you can fully appreciate why the kink works for the character.

AND EVERYTHING IS CONSENSUAL.

This book is so sexy it's almost ridiculous and then toward the end I had actual feelings about one of the characters. Which makes me super uncomfortable because this is not the type of book I expect to give me feels. Unless we're talking the tingly kind, in which case, yes.

More like in my pants, but yeah, whatever.

The Beyond series by Kit Rocha has become one of my all-time favourite series. With its gritty dystopian world and larger-than-life characters, Rocha has created an elite gang that I believe many readers would love to be a part of.

BEYOND JEALOUSLY, the fourth book in the series has been a book that I’ve been looking forward to since book one. If you’re followed the series religiously then you know of Ace and his Playgirl ways. You also know of Rachel and her work she does with the O’Kanes, but there wasn’t much information on Cruz until now.

Naturally, as Ace is my favourite character behind Dallas, I was looking forward to this book. However, Ace isn’t quite the easy-going seductive bastard he usually is in this one. Rocha digs deep very, very deep and we get a far more emotional side to Ace. As a person who whored his way through a lot of his life, a lot of this self-respect has diminished through the years. He doesn’t believe himself worthy to be love by a person let alone two.

When Rachel and Cruz bring him into their relationship, there is always something standing in the way. Ace doesn’t allow them in and it frustrates Rachel and Cruz as much as it will frustrate the reader. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting the level of emotion that Rocha brought to this book. I expected balls-to-the wall sex when it came to Ace, but even though the erotic element is very much there in this book, there’s also great internal angst and sexual conflict as well.

For me, BEYOND JEALOUSY breezed at a 4 star rating for most of the book. However, the last 10% or so really changed my opinion. For a true threesome to work, I needed Cruz and Ace to fall in line with each other. Yes, Rachel is as much a part of this as any of them, but the conflict really lay between Cruz and Ace. When the fight came, I knew that this was where the story was going to turn for me. Not only did it address the conflict head on, but it also showcased the passion they have for each other as well. After all, I’m sure you all know I’m not opposed to M/M lovin at all.

After that glorious turn, Rocha hits readers with another great ending that almost had me panicking. When you feel so much for side characters in a book, that’s when you know you’ve done a great job with characterization and development. I’m definitely looking forward to Trix’s story next!

What was most surprising for me was actually Cruz. I never thought much about him until now. The way he cares for Ace and Rachel, the sense of authority he takes in the bedroom, and everything he does for the O’Kane gang made me see him in a new light. I ended up LOVING him just as much as Ace. And that’s hard to do especially when it happened all in one book.

Kit Rocha handles the ménage a trios flawlessly. Brimming with passion, angst and intensity, BEYOND JEALOUSY will leave readers out of breath and begging for more. After this, I’m sure every girl would want to be Rachel in this hot man sandwich.

I had SO much anticipation for this book. Ace, Cruz, Rachel. And I have to say - it lived up to everything I hoped.

While I often find menage books sexy, it's hard for me to truly believe in a three-way HEA at the end. But this one works so well - I think a lot of it is how close all of Sector Four live together. How open they are with their love, lust and relationships. It makes this threesome seem very in place.

This is a m/m/f book. Reallllly great romance scenes. Kit Rocha can write erotic so damn well.

As soon as I finished I went to their coming soon page and I want ALL the books now. LIKE RIGHT NOW :)

“If everyone feels good, nothing’s bad

That’s pretty much the underlying premise of this whole series! Life in Sector Four one of the outlying sectors of a dystopian world - is a hedonistic, pleasure-seeking wonderland where anything and everything goes. But the usual love story takes a twist this time around with Rachel, Ace, Cruz being the ones to finally find their way to romantic bliss.

Rachel came to Sector Four as a wide-eyed innocent. But she has worked hard to fit in and make it her home. She has been exploring her wild side, and she’s more than ready for more.

“I know what sorts of games you and Cruz are playing these days. How come you two haven’t knocked on my door yet? Think I can’t handle it?

Ace is the filthy, kinky tattoo artist of Sector Four. Slutting it up with anybody and everybody, he is a bit of a sex-God and he knows where his talents lie, but he doesn’t feel worthy of anything deeper.

“We spark, angel. We spark so bright, and I always thought I’d woo you nice and slow and you’d adore me. But you only ever see the worst in me, and there’s so much worst to see.

Cruz has had a strict military upbringing and is newer to Sector Four. He has been trained to do his job and not to feel, but being in Sector Four is revealing his darker side, and he is struggling to balance his job as an enforcer with what he really wants.

“Rachel and Ace had been on a collision course since long before he’d met them. If he didn’t want to end up left behind, he had to be between them when they finally crashed together.

Yep, the three of them have a bit of a complicated background that has been simmering with UST, dirty flirting, and a whole lost of ‘almost for a while now. Rachel and Ace shared a particularly hot moment which was cut off when Ace ran, not feeling worthy of her. And in the meantime there has been Cruz, who came into both of their lives, and infiltrated their hearts.

Individually, they all know what they want, they just have to find their way to it.

Separately, the two men drove her crazy, twisted her into knots of longing and thwarted desire. But together
Together, they’d give her everything.

A ménage relationship is always a tricky one to write, but Kit Rocha has done a great job with this one! Their coming together feels natural, and happens fairly early in the book so the relationship is explored in great detail. I could really feel the emotion between them, and there is a real sense of equality to the relationship, even though they each had their roles to play Cruz as the dominator, controlling the action, Rachel as the willing submissive who loves them both with everything that she has, and Ace as the driving force behind it all.

They were both shaky-legged innocents, barely dipping their toes into carnal vice. He could drag them into the deep end so fast, so hard.
Too fucking much to lose.
So damn much to gain.

And Oh. My. Damn! Like the previous books in this series, this book is hardcore smut! There’s no such thing as shyness, there is nothing off limits, and the three of them discover all sorts of hotness together frequently, descriptively, with a whole lot of dirty talk, and in pretty much every configuration possible.

But it’s very clear that it’s more than just sex. The feelings between the three of them have been building for a while, with each of them in love with the other two before they even get to the bedroom! And the intimacy of what they share together increases the feels, and pushes the intensity of their relationship even higher.

But a tricky relationship needs everybody to be all in, and they soon discover that passion and love isn’t always enough. Each of them are holding something back, and my heart hurt for them as they come to realise the consequences of that. But at the same time, seeing them fully start to understand what they really mean to each other was something very special. I love how openly they accepted each other and how hard they are prepared to fight for each other as they truly came to understand the depth of love between them.

“It’s a fucked-up little triangle, isn’t it?
“No, it’s an actual triangle Three lines. No one in the middle.

Rachel, Ace and Cruz’s story is blended really well with the ongoing story of life in Sector Four. Each of the characters from previous books are still very much a part of the action, and I love that we get to check in with them, as well as getting to know some of the other members of the O’Kane that will feature in future books. The investigation into the bootlegging of O’Kane liquor is also still ongoing and comes to an excitingly violent and bloody climax which threatens to drive Sector Four into an all-out war.

I’m really loving this series. It’s unique, it’s fast-paced, the writing is fantastic, the romance is gorgeous, and of course it contains some of the hottest, dirtiest sex I have ever read. Seriously, just damn! I think that the books are getting better and better the more involved I get, and after that ending, I am more than excited for Trix’s book up next!

4 stars.

Thank god it wasn't as bad as I worried it would be after reading some of the reviews. I actually thought it was really hot at some points. I did not like it as much as the I liked the other books in the series but I still liked it. I plan on continuing the series & still adore this author.

I've been a huge fan of the BEYOND books since I first picked up Beyond Shame...
As we have travelled through the series the stories have gotten better & better (not to mention HOTTER and HOTTER!)

The anticipation for Beyond Jealousy has been building since I read the teaser at the end of Beyond Pain - and I am ecstatic to report that the story more than lived up to the expectation I had of it!!!!

We've all expected Ace, Rachel and Cruz's story to be HOTTER THAN HELL and jeez, Bree & Donna have outdone themselves AGAIN!!!
Just when you think they can't possibly top the last book in the series they work their writing mojo magic and pull it out of the bag!!!!

I'm a Jasper babe - from the start that hasn't changed - but I've always loved ACE... That took a HUGE step forward while reading Jealousy.
Who knew that the sexy, dirty minded, filthy mouthed tattooist could grab my heart as much as he did!!
The guy has got more layers than I'd have thought possible and there is SO much more to him that I ever considered there could be!

RACHEL - She's been getting her sexy on more and more since that mind-blowing scene in Beyond Pain. Our gal is now working the stage at the Broken Circle and is a big favourite with the regulars!!
Even though Eden born, Rae is an O'Kane through and through - she's strong & feisty and has been nursing a love for our sexy bad boy for a long time, that has, until now never been acknowledged or returned.

CRUZ - when we last met him he was setting out on a voyage of discovery with Ace.... Has he been able to leave Eden behind and fully embrace the O'Kane way of life and loving or has all he's been taught stayed with him?!?! Well..... now's your chance to find out!!!

Since she broke up with Cruz, Rach has been watching Ace and her Eden 'bad boy' get close and has listened to all the dirty whispers & stories about their joint antics!!!

“I know what sorts of games you and Cruz are playing these days. How come you two haven’t knocked on my door yet? Think I can’t handle it?

“And what do you think you know? Ace demanded, his eyes snapping open. His hands hit the wall on either side of her head, caging her. Trapping her. “Don’t skimp on the filthy details. You know how I love dirty talk, angel.

“You’ve been sharing your women. She leaned closer, her mouth next to his ear. “Is it about pleasure or conquest, Ace? And do you take turns, or fuck them at the same time?

The arms on either side of her tensed, muscles flexing under ink. “We fuck them at the same time, because that’s what they want. What he wants. Is that what you really need to know? What your city boy’s doing now? How filthy he’s gotten? Because you sure as fuck don’t seem to give a shit about me.

It looked like she was never gonna get what she really wanted, so as you can imagine, I was beyond delighted when it finally seemed like they might now get it together!

BUT..... would that an O'Kane story be that straightforward!!!!

OMG... those KR girls know how to write a a ball-grabber of a tale...

They also know how to take your heart, rip it out, mess with it - more than just a little - and give you it back all fecked up..... Just when you think that you've finally managed to nurse your poor, bloody and broken centre back to a good place... BOOM, they go and knock you for six AGAIN!!!! Word of warning - stock up on tissues, 'cos you're gonna need them!!!!

We were treated to a load of passion & heat and a ton of hot, down and dirty dirty sex as you'd would expect (YAY!!) as well as loads of action..... Jealousy is full of twists & turns, shocks & surprises, double dealing, mystery, drama and fighting.... Gotta love the way Dallas and his 'family' get their fight on!!!

The story arc set in motion earlier in the series is heating up at a pace and the gods only know where things are gonna go next - but, as ever I CANNOT WAIT to find out!

We meet a few new faces - friend (family) and foe. We get back in touch with our favourite O'Kanes and of course have to deal with some of the less than pleasant low life buggers from the other sectors that we've already had the misfortune of being introduced to!!!

I'm not gonna tell you anything else - not spoilers or tidbits - this one is best left for you to discover 1st hand!!!!

I'll leave you by saying that I absolutely LOVED Beyond Jealousy... I got to the end and was as happy as an O'Kane at an orgy and then the girls walloped us with an absolute stoatir of an ending!!! Well, feck me, I DID NOT see that coming!!!!.....

......and so the anticipation for BEYOND ADDICTION begins!!!! Thank the gods we've got Beyond Solitude to tide us over in the meantime!!!!! :D

I'd give Beyond Jealousy 10 stars if I could....

2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

I was expecting an earthquake but wound up with a slight tremor instead. The much anticipated coupling between Rachel, Ace, and Cruz should have been hot enough to burn up my Kindle! Instead the scenes between the three of them felt awkward and forced. The chemistry that sparked between them in previous books was missing. When Ace and Cruz finally got it on the emotional impact of the act between them was not there for the reader to feel the connection. As a reader I want an inside to what the character is feeling and I didn't get that here.

I love reading ménage and M/M romance books, but this one just didn't appeal to me in the end.

~ I received an ARC of this book for an honest review ~

A couple of things happen when I read a Kit Rocha book…first of all I figuratively place a DO NOT DISTURB sign around me and my kindle. Then I get into such a state of excitement, arousal and supreme bliss that I am ready to sign up…get that O’Kane ink and take off for adventures unknown. Seriously, these freaking books make me that insane…I love them so much!!!

In this 4th book of the series we are thrown into the delicious world of the tortured threesome of Rachel, Cruz and Ace.and I have to tell you this one almost blew all my circuits (even more so than Noelle’s story in book one)…OMG!
Lorenzo Cruz is a warrior, a beast in the cage, fighting his feelings for Rachel (unsuccessfully) and is miserable because of it…but he is also on fire for Ace.
Ace Santana is down and dirty and sexy as hell and an artist in all senses of the word.and desires nothing more than to corrupt both Cruz and Rachel and teach them his way of pain and pleasure, no matter the cost.
While Rachel gave up her life in Eden and pledged her loyalty to the O’Kanes, she has spent her time dancing and literally laying her emotions and soul bare every night on the stage…but the thing she wants, no, CRAVES the most, is not one but two men to have and to hold as her own....forever if that is even possible.
While Beyond Jealousy is also filled with some action packed scenes of impending war between the sectors, stabbings, shootings, betrayals and a lot of seriously tense moments of intrigue, this book is all about many forms of jealousy…not just what can happen amongst people engaged in a threesome, but the desire from those looking in, watching and coveting what they secretly desire as well.
I do not want to spoil what really goes down in this book when those three finally get together, but I will tell you it is going to be some of the most kinky, sensual and downright nasty sexual experiences I have read in any book and it will make you beg to be the filling of a Cruz and Ace sandwich! I found myself reading and then re-reading a passage and almost tilting my head to the side to figure out (and picture more clearly) all WHAT exactly they are doing…LOL…and at times it made me cringe because seriously, that Rachel was so overloaded with body parts and stimuli that I’m not sure how she made it out alive after those two finished with her!
As with any extremely emotional and volatile relationship, you don’t get out unscathed and while I will tell you that I loved how they all end up at the conclusion, it was a painful and long journey to get to their final destination. Do they work it out and stay together in their unconventional ménage a trois or is it too much for them all to handle and one (or more) walk away?
You will just have to savor this one to find out and be prepared for a twist and shocking end to this book which will lead into book #5.
This was absolutely my favorite one in the Beyond series (close runner-up was the first book) and I highly recommend you grab this one in March when it goes live. I need a really long cold shower just re-living the experience =)

★★★☆
9/2014 ETA: Upon reflection of a few months, I had originally given this 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I've just re-rated it 3 stars. I liked it but nothing special. We were teased that this was going to be a mmf and it was really a mfm. I'm sorry, Rachel always in the middle does not make a mmf. And as far as I'm concerned, kissing doesn't make a mm. And 80% for one piddly-ass mmf scene does not make it mmf.

There's plenty enough ff in this series. Too bad the mm didn't find its place in this book.

Still really disappointed, and disgusted enough that I haven't proceeded in the series.

5/2014 - Way more mfm than mmf and not even that much mm :(

This is a good series and the world keeps growing around Dallas and Lex' Sector 4. We've been teased by Rachel and Ace through the first 3 books and Cruz joined in last book. Well this is Rachel, Ace and Cruz finally getting together. Unfortunately, Ace already his foot halfway out the door, Cruz thinks he's only included because he's the hero and Rachel fears being left by both of them.

This is really Rachel's book and the guys revolving around her instead of Cruz and Ace building their own togetherness and I'm not so big on mfm menages anymore so I was bit disappointed.

Liked the glimpses of the other couples and Six has definitely come a long way. Dallas has to make sure the other sectors know who is in charge.

Beyond Jealous of Rachel.

Having read 'Beyond Shame' back in 2013 I always intended to continue on with the rest but my reading list is huge and new books keep jumping to the top. I did try last year with 'Control' which I loved and 'Pain' which I didn't like quite so much and that temporarily put me off starting 'Jealousy' because I really wanted to like this book.
There's so many reviews that giving my usual summary seems a bit redundant so I'll jump straight to my opinion.
I liked it, I mean seriously something would be very wrong for me not to like it with Ace, Cruz and Rachel and I understand the title because at times I was beyond jealous of Rachel.
These three worked so well together, my only complaint and it's a relatively small one but I felt Ace was a little too 'I'm not worthy' and it started to annoy me a little but it didn't spoilt what is another amazing book.
Not only do I love all the characters and the hot hot scenes but the story running through the series is really good and holds it all together really nicely.
Bring on the next one...

received as an ARC for review, and let me tell you I'm still trying to figure out how to review this.

The ladies of Kit Rocha have out done themselves. I'm really loving the little POV' s they're doing. It is added torture to what's coming up next.

This is a series that I LOVE to try and piece together. I even have a "story board" I've created to try and keep it all together , so I can add pieces of the puzzle together. I got a lot of pieces out of this book, an I am ITCHING to get them on the board.

Now, as far as the story goes. It's hotter then ever and angstier then ever! There's an outlining of darkness surrounding this book, and with good reason. There's lots of action as well, believe me, you WON'T be disappointed!!

4.5 Hot Sex/Tattoo Loving Stars . This book is SO DAMN deliciously naughty and hot that I'm on overload and am greedy enough to ask for more please! Ace, Cruz and Rachel went through a lot to finally be together and it was all worth it.

(I wish I could be part of an Ace/Cruz sandwich!).

Review to come.

While the story of Ace, Cruz, and Rachel is very important to the Beyond saga, this book is not the strongest of the series.

However, it may be the HOTTEST! OMFG! This has some of the best sex scenes I've ever read.

“You got your saint Rae. Just promise me you need a sinner too.

This is my favorite guilty pleasure curling up with the men and women of sector Four and letting all my sexual fantasies come true ;) If you’ve read this series before then you know how downright decadent the O’Kanes are. If you haven’t, what in the hell are you waiting for?!

Beyond Jealousy is the story of Ace, Cruz and Rachel. Ace and Rachel had been a thing, well, kind of, until Ace screwed it up and Rachel landed onto Cruz’s lap. But recently Ace and Cruz have decided to got at it together, for as long as there’s a woman between them. And it’s getting messy feelings for each other are getting in the way and of course there’s the woman they both want Rachel.

I hardly ever read menage stories but man was this one hot! The O’Kanes are known to dirty it up in orgies like you’re never seen, or read before. Yet as much as they have all the sexual freedom they could get, they always do their forevers in twos. So this threesome was going to be the first, if they could do it right, that is.

I was so excited when I got the book. It’s Dystopian Erotica and there is vivid description of the dystopian world, but let’s be honest, I’m mostly addicted to the smut. Calling this steamy is an understatement, it’s hot as hell. And you know what? Kit Rocha just jumped right into it. I hadn’t gotten far before Ace, Cruz and Rachel were a mass of tangled limbs on a bed. The heat? Off the charts!

But while I loved those scenes, I also loved the emotional part of their story too. Ace doesn’t feel worthy for Rachel and Cruz. He’s convinced that they only need him for sex and that as soon as they’re done with the adventure, they’ll kick him out and remain a pair.

“You’re sweet and you’re perfect and Cruz is in love with you. You’re both too good for the likes of me…

I seriously hurt for him. We get more of his back story as a whore in Eden and for once we see more than the cocky, sexy tattoo artist. We see Alexander Santana, the kind of man who’ll see the good in everyone and nothing in himself. He’s convinced that the only reason a woman would want him is for sex, so as much as he wants both Cruz and Rachel, he can’t imagine why they would ever want him need him. And he’s convinced that he’ll be the one left with a broken heart.

Ace fucked up. It was what he did, who he was. When he detonated everything they’d build together, Cruz would protect Rachel. Rachel would protect Cruz. No one would protect Ace.

And while they all have their insecurities, his were the worst. And it wasn’t just that they wouldn’t find him worth keeping or loving, but he also has his worries that the only reason Cruz would agree to their threesome is to get to Rachel, but never because he also loves Ace.

It couldn’t be real. None of this could. Not Cruz wanting them both wanting to share and be shared.

I loved their story. The first 60 percent was spent fanning myself because these three really go at it. And the last 20 percent I had tears in my eyes.

4 stars.
