Despite being copyrighted like 11 years ago, imo this book holds up pretty well in terms of some facts and the history behind energy. For its name, Discovering the Nature of Energy is a cool, brief nonfiction book about Energy and its timeline.

My next part of this review has some spoilers, so a bit of a heads-up:

I'm kinda disappointed that the book doesn't talk about how energy impacts the modern world. It exclaims it more like just common sense without going into too much depth. "What's the genius behind Wi-Fi?", "How does energy impact the home?", "Where did we go from Telegraph to Smartphone?".. None of these questions are answered. It isn't a complete deal-breaker, but it would've been nice to get into more depth.
That's just my opinion when finishing off the book. Up until the last chapter, I think much of the topics behind energy's modification were well-explained
