We left feather-phobic demon Azarial inadvertently breaking rules by helping her Nightchild friend, Kalesh, through his coming-of-age, and trying to come to terms with her Mom being a Fallen Archangel.
Still wanting to find out her Father's identity, Azarial, and her sidekick Tonk the imp, battle Harpies, encounter Cupid, meet the Creator and even endure a trip into Prime Lord Jarath's mind. But worst of all...
Well, to find out what that can be, you'll have to join her and her friends in the next episode of Azarial's story - Hell is Where the Heart is.
Will she finally find her Father?
Will Kalesh become a Stealer of souls?
Can she find the reason why the people she loves have turned away from her?
Will she be successful in an attempt to get back at them for rejecting her?
Only time, and a little magic, will tell.

I'm a writer, an artist (of sorts), I love reading, drawing, writing, listening to music, my husband and family (not necessarily in that order). I also work for MythCast (unpaid) and a property services company. In my spare time, I...yeah, about that...well, I sometimes watch TV, mainly fun things like Supernatural, NCIS, Dexter, Firefly etc. My first Fantasy Novel (Cold Day in Hell)was published on e-book and trade paperback, as was my second book (Wolf) an Urban Fantasy. My third book, Starstone, has just been released and all available to buy! I'm working on the sequel to Starstone and the follow-up to Cold Day (Hell is Where the Heart is) has been finished and is released 15th April! I'm also trying my hand an 'erotic romance'(I can hear you thinking!), I've always wanted to write, and to have books published is truly amazing, and I really hope people enjoy reading them!
Azarial, bless her feather-phobic heart, is caught up in a whirlwind of activity. She' mentor to Kal, friend that wants benefits with her co-mentors, and trying to figure out what the heck is going on. She's bull headed, and seems to have a teen-ager mentality. Kal, Rowan and the rest are all genuinely concerned about Azarial, but have no intentions of being honest and forthright by her. There are so many twists and turns, my head is still spinning and there is just enough of a hook to make you want to read the next book in the series. Azarial, the handwriting is on the wall, so to speak. The foreshadowing leads one to believe... well that would give too much away, now wouldn't it?
I, for one, hope there will be further installments in the life of Rial in the very near future. So many points were raised and never answered and there’s that delectable romantic pull from all of the gorgeously hot males. Personally, I’m rooting for Kal. Gotta love a playful sweetie who really does love her and wants to be loved, when he’s not trying to push everyone’s buttons, of course. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how his character grows. In all, I loved the imagination that was brought into this with all the different elements pulled together. There was never a moment that dragged. I especially loved Kal’s mentoring and trails (he really is a wonderful character), and Rial’s aversion to angels, though she is at least half one herself. Though the second half almost felt like it was by a different author (I had gotten used to the light teasing brush of romance, and then as soon as it hit halfway it was like some reviewer had complained and suddenly there was graphic sex all over the place, not to mention that the book took an entirely different direction at that point. Not that there was anything wrong with the different direction and different style. It was just a bit jarring.) Still, I loved this story the entire way through and I definitely hope the author continues on well into the future since Rial is such a wonderful point of view and all the current characters (especially Tonk, Kal, Rowan, Tarik, Sam, Nic, her mother, Dominic, and Lucienne) are awesome fun to read about.
Unfortunately as much as I was looking forward to reading this book, it really did nothing for me and I was very disappointed. The plot was just not to my taste! As liberally minded as I am, I'm afraid it really did not do it for me.
