Harmony #2

Irreplaceable

Rate this book
It wasn’t his fault she lay broken and battered. He wasn’t responsible for the injuries covering her bruised body.

Her heart, however, told a different story. She endured the pain of its jagged edges as it shattered against her chest, ripping through the hope she once held. Her spirit was broken, and only one man was to blame for that.

Cassandra Clarke had known better than to trust her all to a man like Logan West. She’d thought he was different—a better man than he’d portrayed to others. A man worth risking it all for.

But she was wrong, and would never make that mistake again.

What happens when you question everything you longed to believe—deny all emotions you still hold for a man unworthy of them?

Faced with Logan’s persistence, Cassandra must find the strength to keep her guard up or risk falling again for the one man her body feels…is irreplaceable.

I'm sorry but if this is "love" I don't ever want to know what that feels like. The writing was good but the story was ridiculous. A man after a woman he degraded because he was messed up? And don't get me started on what his activities were while he was pining away for her. And the heroine was a doormat... I thought she was being strong but in the end she just lets that go. I can never see this as an HEA only an HFN.

Needless to say I don't think I'll be reading the final chapter in this story. I'm not that much of a masochist.

4.5 Stars!

Absolutely. Loved. It. As some of the reviews here have already mentioned, Irreplaceable continues right where book 1 left off. I was sad that there wasn't a single chapter in Logan's POV (lord knows I love me some dual POV novels), but it was just as interesting reading solely in Cassandra's POV (at least until the end...). I was, however, closely losing my mind because I was so desperate and curious to know what went on in Logan's head! But enough about POVs, let's talk about characters.

Cassandra is the same girl you know and love...just a bit more bitter and frustrating. I don't hate Cassandra as I still have a soft spot for her from book 1, but I was unbearably frustrated with her when she became one of those girls who like pushes the guy away and then blows it out of proportion when the guy finally does it. I'm not happy with what Logan did nor am I saying Cassandra was wrong to be bitter about it, but I don't think she should have felt so dead set on pushing all the blame on him when she played a role in it. Other than that incident, she continues to have inner turmoil on how she should deal with Logan. Despite her hot and cold feelings, I still loved her for the funny and kind character she is.

Logan is just as sexy, funny, caring, and...uh...sexy as he was in book 1. He makes mistakes (as male characters in novels typically do), but makes up for it in sweet, sincere apologies. But Mr. West of course doesn't just talk the talk. You see Logan not only communicate his feelings for Cassandra through romantic words, but also through kind gestures and actions. Playboys are hard to trust, but Logan makes a compelling argument proving he's not one of them anymore.

As for your other supporting characters (Oliver, Scout, Hilary, Luke, Natasha, etc.) I still feel the same for them as much (if not more) than I did in the first book. I still find Oliver utterly adorable while I still want to ruin Natasha's face with a cheese grater. Yup, same feelings.

The romance was great, but also frustrating. Their romantic/sexual tension is palpable, but also frustrating since Cassandra tries to destroy those feelings into oblivion. But, let's face it. With a man like Logan as your love interest, how can you burn that bridge without having a lifetime of regrets?

Overall, I loved the book as much as I loved the first! The romance was amped up a bit as well as the delicious steamy sexual scenes while following a reasonable plot. I really really wish we had more insight on what goes on in Logan's sexy little head, but for now we live solely through Cassandra's POV. The cliffhanger wasn't the worst places to leave off, but I am utterly curious as to what will happen in the final installment! If you loved the first book and are considering whether or not to read the second, DO IT! I guarantee you'll like, if not love, this one as much as the first! If you're new to the series, read the first one if you like New Adult romance! The romance and some drama will have you hooked and reeled in!

“You were the best and worst game I ever played.

Cassandra is haunted by the memory of that one night, the night she took a risk and failed. Every time she closes her eyes the memory plays on a continuous loop; vowing that nothing Logan does could ever make up for all the pain he caused.
"He can’t expect me to come running into his arms when I can barely even walk."

Guilted by his actions and words, Logan is set on making things right praying that it’s not too late. Why did Natasha have to come back into their lives, why did couldn’t she just stay away?!? But as much as he wants her gone he has to know what she is after, especially for Oliver sake.
“I fucked up, Cassandra. I hate myself for it and I can’t take it back, but I will spend every day and every night proving I can be the man you need me to be.

Cassandra finds that Logan persistence is getting harder and harder to resist, his daily text messages and his sweet actions leave her breathless. She misses the friendship they had but she doesn’t know if she can trust him to not hurt her anymore, and Logan doesn’t know if they could just go back to being just friends.
"I need your trust, your heart, and your soul. I want you to be mine completely."

“Then take me.

I really tried to hold off closer to when the third book would be released, but I honestly couldn’t, I had to know what happens next for Logan and Cassandra. This had a more subdued feeling to it, I just wanted them to go back to their flirtatious friendship but I'm more than happy with the way things turned out. I am however pissed at

Their pasts causes more drama in their already fragile relationship, but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?!? We got to reconnect with Oliver, who I couldn’t help but feel for, his mom is such a bitch and the poor thing only sees the good that she wants him to see. I want to know more about what happened with Mark, Julia and Luke, get to know more about Jax's history with Natasha and of course see what the future holds for Hilary and Caleb. Seriously can't wait!

I honestly enjoyed reading the first book so I expected this second one to surprise me. Things didn't turn out that way. I was very disappointed with it. I don't understand why there will be one more book to get to the conclusion since there was obviously not much going on here. More than half of the story was all about Cassandra kept pushing Logan away while he was doing everything to win her back. I thought it was way too much!

Because the story was told from the heroine's point of view, so I felt like I got stuck in a hospital room with her, in the whole first 3 chapters. It was so boring!

Moreover, there was too much internal monologue that I had to skim through some of them.

I don't see myself continue with the series. I'm sorry.

WHAT THE FUCKKKKK!!!

I WANT THE THRID BOOK LIKE NOW... GAH

THIS COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN THE END OF THER STORY HERE, BUT THE AUTHORS NOW A DAYS LOVE TO DRAG A STORY UP...

I mean it didn't feel dragged while reading it, but when you reach the end you realize it was just one thing dragged out during the entire book.

I still loved it thought, looking forward to the last-third book!!

As with book 1, I thought that this book was well written. Also, like book 1, there were minor typos throughout, however, they did not effect my overall rating.

My low rating on this one is really more a reflection of personal taste. I just do not like Cassie and Logan. I tried, I really did. I picked up this book, thinking that maybe these characters would redeem themselves in this installment- alas, they did not.

Insert spoiler rant --->

At this point, I don't know if I will continue with this series. Since I've invested time in them this far, part of me feels like I have to see how it turns out. But I'm not sure, we'll see how I feel when 'early 2014' rolls around.

Let me just start off by saying that the cover looks AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!

Irreplaceable starts off where the first one left off. Cassandra wakes up from the hospital and is consumed with anger for Logan as well as betrayal for all those awful things he said to her that night when Natasha showed up. Cassandra thinks that she will never be able to forgive Logan. But Logan being Logan *swoon* does everything in his power to make things better with Cassandra. Logan is still very protective of her (and jealous at times) that he insist on helping her shower when he learns that a male nurse was the one who was going to be helping her. Let me tell you right now that he does some pretty swoon worthy things in this book that I found myself telling Cassandra to get over it and forgive him already! Cassandra (she's a stubborn one), knowing his passed playboy days thinks that if she can just get Logan to sleep with her, he'll just move on. He tells her he wants to be with her, but she's just too hurt to believe that he truly does. All Cassie wants is for Logan to leave her alone and move on, but does Logan ever listen? NO! And I love that about Logan. He never gives up. Tries his hardest to so Cassie that she means everything to him. You can literally feel how much Logan loves and want to be with Cassie.

I started reading this book and I could not, by the life of me, put it down. It was that good! Every chapter entices you. Makes you want to stay up wayyy past your bedtime and keep reading. I can't tell you the last time I read a book and didn't want to stop reading. I kind of regretted reading it so fast because I didn't want it to end, but I wanted to know what happened next. Irreplaceable caused me such a hangover that I didn't know what to do with myself. OH WHY MUST I WAIT SO LONG FOR BOOK THREE!?!?! Angela Graham, why do you do this to me!?

How I wish the stort ended here but judging by that epilogue, book three's going to be real messy for sure. Anyway, I loved Irreplaceable but I feel like the ending was rushed. I mean, after such a rollercoaster ride of emotions during the better part of the book, that kind of ending was a bit underwhelming, honestly.

Now the waiting game begins.

3.5-4 stars. Little let down with book #2. Where Cassie was a strong determined character in this she is whiny and weak. The story picks up, her in the hospital after the car accident. While it explains her reluctance to be near Logan I just found her too whiny and also weakened with her falling back into him. Also what happened to Oliver, he is really heard about.

Logan was a little less in this book for me too. Caring and trying to win her back then being a dick later on. Jax the brother is annoying too. That said the writing is still top notch, the twist are twisty and make this book still a good read. My rating is more personnel likes/dislikes. I am sure many will rate this 4-5 stars as this series is well laid out with twist to make it interesting.

I am eager to find out what happens in book 3. With Logan working to regain her trust and love we are left to see if they can make it and with his ex Natasha back and scheming will they have a chance?

I was given an ARC for an honest review.

This book begins right where Inevitable left off. I was immediately sucked into the emotional battle Cassandra is dealing with. She loves Logan, but can't seem to forget or forgive. While she continues to heal physically, she also tries to mend a relationship.

Angela kept with her theme of romance. Nothing was rushed or overdone. You got to see how Logan and Cassandra had to fight to be together. There were more sexy scenes in this book. Which for me, were the best parts. Each one brought a certain kind of sensuality and romance.

I loved the characters in this book just as much as I did in Inevitable. Cassandra was her strong willed self, but also showed signs of confliction. Logan was playboy Logan, but also showed how lost and hurt he was. Oliver was adorable, like always! There is something so sweet about a little boy that adores his father. Caleb and Hilary were charming. We got to see more of their story, which I really enjoyed!! Julia and Luke were both sweet and last but not least Jax!! He is my favorite. Such a cocky jerk, but I can't stop smiling when reading his scenes.

What made this book a 5 star read for me was the suspense and romance. I loved how the Author came up with unique situations. This book brought a wide range of emotions. There were parts where I was on the edge of my seat, Parts where I wanted to scream at Cassandra- JUST FORGIVE HIM ALREADY!, and Parts where I was consumed by romance.

I highly recommend this book to everyone looking for a well rounded romance~

NOT. AGAIN!
WHY? JUST WHY? WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE A CLIFFHANGER?!

The moment I was done with the book, I was like "Wait, where are the rest of the pages?!"

Apart from the reason that you kept me hanging like this at the end of another book for the second time, I LOVED THE BOOK!
I mean how can you not?

Logan. Sighs. He was just so darn charming. Yes he made a whole lot of mistakes, and I don't blame Cassie for being such a bitch, but the man did everything in his power to rectify all those mistakes. He surely did win my heart.

Everything was getting so interesting and then, our dear author had to put it to a halt. Oh please oh please oh please! Release the next book FAST! I wouldn't mind if you release it even now Angela. I really wouldn't mind.

So 4.5 stars. Blissful, sexy and charming 4.5 staaaaaars.

A playlist has already been given with the book, but these are some of my favorite scenes and some of the awesomest songs:

Give Me Love - Ed Sheeran - Valentine's day Logan and Cassie dance.
All I Need - Temptation - Cassie's feelings for Logan.
Eyes On Fire - Blue Foundation - Logan and Cassie make love.
Echo - Jason Walker - Logan's regrets.

I'm so angry at this shit, I was really enjoying the story UNTIL, after he begged her for TWO WEEKS, he went off with two girls and he claimed this was because he's in love with her??? Like WTF?? That's the stupidest excuse ever and I liked the girl because she hasn't slept with him but her accepting his excuse for this action just made me see how stupid she is and I shall not be finishing this series and this book. I can't get over this fact and neither Should she. There is no excuse justifiable for him to want to kill Luke or Mark but he still keeps sleeping with other girls. I'm so angry and I was looking forward to the conclusion of this story.
So pissed.
Sorry for the rant.

WOW. Just wow. This guy is a total asshole. Here he was finally changing in the first book and then still into this one but then boom the second things get tough he reverts. I can't even process how terrible this book is. He literally sleeps around with not 1 woman but 2 women on a plane because it was getting too hard for him to win back her trust. Grow up. What an absolute shit head. This actually makes me so mad. Please spare yourself and do not read this book! It was completely unnecessary to make him revert back to screwing around with other women. Poor choice by the author.

WOW this book had lots of ups, downs, twists and turns! Throughout this one you kept hoping that Cassie would just wake up and accept her love for Logan. There was some humorous parts as well as tear jerking parts. And as soon as you think there will be a HEA there are even more surprises. The ending left me reeling and I'm on the countdown for book 3! This series does not disappoint! I couldn't put it down. I love this author can't wait to read book 3!

This is the second book in the Harmony series and if you haven't read book 1, Inevitable, then DO NOT read this review because there are spoilers from book 1...

Cassandra and Logan's story picks up where book 1 left off. She's recovering from her car wreck.

Okay. I liked this book as it was a continuation of their story and I'm anxious to find out what happens with these two. That said, Cassandra was getting on my very last nerve! Logan is falling all over himself to prove that he wants her and only her. Yes, he was a jerk at the end of book 1 and she shouldn't forgive his behavior easily. But pretty much this ENTIRE book is him trying to prove his love for her and her pushing him away at every turn of the page! That is, until she finally admits she wants him and she wants to work on a relationship with him. Again, it was at the end of the book, just like in book 1. I wanted to step into the book and smack the bitch across the face and tell her to just get over herself already!

This story was really too boring for my tastes since I wanted more of them building a relationship. Yeah, Logan was slowly chipping away at her walls, but she was just annoying with her ridiculous notions about everything. There wasn't enough outside crap trying to keep them apart. There was SOME, but most of it was Cassandra just fighting him like an immature little girl. Something else that drives me crazy is I really don't know what the heck he does for work. He's suppose to be swimming in pools of money, but he doesn't go to work very often. He owns some properties and he bought the newspaper for his sister, even though he doesn't seem to have any experience or interest in journalism but he still occasionally goes to work at the paper. And then he goes out of town for business meetings. It's just kind of like a vague impression of him having a job. And Oliver is enrolled in preschool, but he very rarely seems to go to school. That's some pretty responsible parenting... I don't like wishy washy details. And I don't like how much time is spend worrying about Hailey and Caleb or Julia and Luke. And Julia seems a bit bi-polar, but she's only 19 so I guess it could just be that she's a normal, spoiled, immature teenager. Those are the gist of my complaints.

Otherwise, I like Logan even more with every turn of the page and I want them to work their shit out and have their happily ever after. I can't wait for book 3 and the resolution of their story.

"Logan had charmed his way into my life, into my heart..."

This must read sequel picks up right where Inevitable ended. So yes, you have to read book one before this one.
Right off the bat I connected with Cassandra's emotional struggle. Having gone through everything she had just experienced would've broken anyone. This was mainly why I understood 100% her fears and hesitations where Logan was concerned. Gotta say though, there were times where I wanted to shake her and make her forgive him. Hell, I would've forgiven him ages ago! Haha!! He's that swoon-worthy! *sigh*
"I'll prove to you that I can be everything you need - everything you always wanted. My heart and soul belong to you, and I'll wait as long as it takes."

"I need your trust, your heart, and your soul. I want you to be mine completely."

See?? Logan West was pure perfection, in my opinion. There was one moment though, where he really pissed me off. I literally found myself saying out loud "Oh, Logan!!! Why?!!" But, after reading his "explanation", seeing his side of the situation, I guess I also kind of understood why he did what he did. That's not to say it didn't still piss me off, but, at least in my eyes, he totally redeemed himself afterwards. Which is why I will still say he is pure perfection. *wink* Logan and Cassandra did not have it easy. Luckily for Cassandra, Logan was not one to give up.
"We're far from the end, sweetheart." Logan's arms pulled me down, and he crushed his lips to mine.

There was some angst and even suspense in this book, which I enjoyed, the steamy scenes were quite hot, and the secondary characters were once again, amazing. This was a great read, cover-to-cover. In fact, I had a hard time putting it down. Since there is a third book coming, there are still things left unanswered, so I'm very curious and dying to know what's to come. That ending left me at the end of my seat!!!! But, calm down, relationship wise, everything is great.... plot wise, however......... Let's just say, I need that third book!

I highly recommend this book!!!

4.5 Star Review
Well Angela Graham has done it again! I love Logan West, he is one of my
favorite book boyfriends; even though at the end of Inevitable, she left
me gutted.

*Please remember that you need to read Inevitable to understand Irreplaceable.*

My one thought going into Irreplaceable was that I hoped Cassandra could forgive
Logan for any indiscretions that happened in the past. Cassandra thinks that she will never be able to forgive Logan. But Logan does everything in his power to make things better with Cassandra.

I really felt for Cassandra because of the accident that happened- she had to heal physically and emotionally. If he had any hope of them working out in the future, Logan had to be patient, something he is not used to being. Logan is very protective of her and jealous at times. (for instance- he insisted on helping her shower when he learns that a male nurse was the one who was going to be helping her)

This book is filled with grand gestures from Logan to Cassandra- but the hardening of Cassandra's heart after the accident made it hard on their relationship. Would she ever forgive Logan for what he did that fateful night? And it takes Cassandra a long time to make her decision. Cassandra is a very stubborn woman! But after all of his gestures, I wanted to shake her and say COME ON WOMAN- HE'S SORRY!!!

He tells her he wants to be with her, but she's just too hurt to believe that he truly does. Cassandra wants Logan to leave her alone and move on, but Logan doesn't listen and I LOVE that about him. He never gives up- as it should be with true love- never give up.

And all of the secondary characters are back as well; his sister Julia, Jax, Luke, Hilary, and of course Oliver, Logan's son. Logan wins Best Dad in a Novel from me!

Angela hooked me from the very first sentence- I devoured the book in one day.

There is actually one more book to be released in the spring of 2014, I can't wait to find out the conclusion of Logan and Cassandra's story.

¡NO!
