REPENT... AND BEG FOR MERCY.

The new Messiah sits on the throne of St. Peter's. Across the world, the faithful rise up to reclaim God's kingdom with blood and fire. The heathen hordes are exterminated without mercy, while the flames of Hell laugh with wicked delight...

Yet there are those who would stand against this new terror, no matter the cost. And they will endure scorn and persecution that will test their bodies and spirits to the breaking point.

The world cries out for God, and when He answers, all shall listen. And all shall be judged...

What can I say about a trilogy that takes you over? For a long while there, I was so depressed thinking, is God ever going to show up in this series. Doesn't He care what's going on? What is Carver trying to say?

This last book was just as good as the first. Carver seamlessly takes us through the lives of those living in an age of where Satan has manifested himself as a dark entity and seems all powerful. The believers are deceived and not even aware that Satan is deceiving them all in the name of God. Patric, after all the pain he has gone through still hems and haw between Satan and Christ but one thing I liked is -- Patrick makes a decision to follow the truth whatever it is. I think that was an important part of Patric's character I appreciated. Follow the truth wherever it leads. No matter what.

I enjoyed this series but it still left some unanswered questions. I talked to the author and I guess I'll just have to imagine the answers to my questions. However, the ending was a little too rushed but it didn't detract from the story at all. It enhanced it. A wonderful conclusion.
