This doesn’t happen often but I actually enjoyed this follow-up book more than the first one. Unlike in, The Thrill of It, I was able to fully connect with Trey and Harley in this book. I also believed in the situations they found themselves in because of their past choices. And to top it off, I loved they were a solid couple throughout the book. That’s my type of romance! Every Second with You was good conclusion to Harley and Trey's story.

Wow I felt my heart was going to come out of my chest so many times. Talk about angst to the nth degree. I couldn't stop reading. I needed to see Trey and Harley get their HEA.
I took a long break before reading this sequel because I was a big fat chicken. So afraid of what might happen but thankfully these characters fought hard and stayed true. Although I was on the edge of my seat quite a few times.
So many tears wow. Love this author for how she squeezes my heart and feeds my soul.

This story was simply amazing. All the key elements were there but it was just so much more. The intensity, emotion, happiness, and drama played out so well and I was right there, totally invested. Definitely a page turner!

It was wonderful seeing who Harley and Trey were becoming and how they were working towards a future and learning to accept and let go of the past. They love so deeply and have an amazing connection. Their story had me a bit anxiety ridden at times but it was so worth it.

Around 20% there is a moment with Trey that was just - I don't even have the words to describe how I feel. I didn't like his actions at all but it was so well written, I could feel my skin crawling.

Chapter 27 was highly amusing and very them. There were some laugh out loud moments for me with this and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I actually did a happy giddy cry that was quite embarrassing.

Chapter 35 just about killed me. It was emotional, intense, and full of turmoil. Holy goodness! As for the end of this book, those last chapters I was a mess. A crying mess. I can't remember the last time a book elicited such a huge response from me.

This was such a wonderful story and excellent conclusion. I love Harley and Trey so much. I'm so happy I got to see my favorite pimp Cam and I was thrilled with the direction his life had taken (I think Cam needs his own story). Harley's mom was still a piece of work, I loathe her. I’m so glad that Harley stood her ground with her and didn’t take any crap. The new people that come into Harley and Trey’s lives are wonderful and I am so happy for their future and how everything turned out.

Let's not forget the sexy times throughout the book shall we. I mean damn, wow. Fans self. Takes cold shower. My Kindle was on fire! I thought those scenes were intermixed well throughout the story and not overdone.

5 freaking amazing stars. This story gives me hope. ;-)

Overall 4 stars
Performance 5 stars
Story 3.5 stars

This was a wonderful conclusion to Trey and Harley's story. It really brought them full circle and readers/listeners got to see them grow and battle their demons to get to their happily ever after. There are bumps in the road, but I felt like the characters matured a lot through the course of the story. This final book was about Trey and Harley's unbreakable connection and I liked that the struggle and conflict was more external this time around. There are lots of sweet and tender moments mixed in with some of the sexiest scenes too to round everything out. It felt like a big awesome epilogue. I'm not exactly sure if Trey and Harley's story needed to be a trilogy, but I loved being able to cross every t and dot every i with them. Even Cam found his own HEA! The series really couldn't have ended in a better way.

I enjoyed the narration in this series so much! Joe Arden really shined in this book and conveyed so much emotion and feeling. Hearing his voice break in those pivotal scenes at the end killed me and they were done so incredibly well. I'm used to hearing his more comedic narrations, but this really showcased his versatility and talent. Vanessa Edwin is now one of my favorite narrators! I loved her performance and she is one of the rare female narrators who can pull off a very convincing male voice. Truly a remarkable cast!

Well I can honestly say I did not expect this but so happy I didn’t. I remembered some very small things that I was glad she kept.

I love the way Trey loves her, he really gives himself over. I also liked that we got to see him struggle a little more. Harley had more stumbling blocks that he did and I like that we got to see him stumble a little as well. It for me at least made them be on equal footing.

Harley and her relationship or lack thereof with her mother breaks my heart but I did enjoy how she stood up for herself I was rooting her on.

Trey’s parents didn’t surprise me, Shocking I know but I just had a feeling that they would embraces and heal with everything.

Great Trilogy, I again loved the narration it just made these books that much more in my eyes. Thank you for always picking just the right people to narrate each character effortlessly.

Harley and Trey! This is such a wonderful storyline, book! I’m so in love with this fast paced romance. Great characters, they have history together and their present is beautiful. I loved this book, Harley is pregnant by Trey and they end up with such a beautiful happily ever after.

Joe Arden is the narrator and he has a smoking hot voice and Vanessa Edwin is my new favorite female narrator!

This story picks up right where The Thrill of It left off with Harley’s big surprise. Harley struggles internally with the news and what it means to her and to this new relationship. Trey senses something is off but he can’t quite put his finger on what is going on, and that scares him. Insecurities fester in both and threaten their new relationship. As pasts collide abruptly with the present, will Harley and Trey’s love be strong enough to handle all that life throws at them?

This couple has overcome so much in their young lives and they have only just begun to really live for themselves. They found true love with each other, something neither thought would ever happen. I adored the tender way Trey loved Harley. The way he was always touching her or holding her hand was so sweet. I was thrilled for Harley to find the kind of love she deserved with Trey. They could not have been more perfectly suited for one another. I am pleased with the progress they continued to make in their addiction recovery. Both have shown tremendous growth and maturity, despite some significant events that challenged them as individuals and as a couple.

This story took me on quite the emotional rollercoaster. From happy to sad and everything in between, Lauren delivered an emotion packed conclusion to Harley and Trey’s story. There were sad and happy tears, a couple of angry outbursts, a few laugh out loud moments, and some really steamy sex scenes. I required some hand holding at one point and with thrilled to have a Lovely Friend to see me through.
It’s not often I find myself feeling utterly content at the end of a book, but perfectly content describes exactly how I felt. Lauren tied this series up nicely with a pretty little bow…but not a red bow. While I am perfectly content with the ending, I am sad to say good bye to Trey and Harley.

Overall Rating 5 PERFECTLY CONTENT STARS

A few of my favorite quotes:

Trey “I don’t know, I can’t know, and my feet feel unsteady and my breath is thin, but there is one thing I can hold on to that I don’t want to lose touch with her. She is my rock, she is my hope, she is my every-f*cking-thing, and so I don’t let go of her.

Trey “You’re not getting rid of me. Because here’s the thing you need to know. I’m in love with you, and that’s a package deal. And that means no matter what, I’m by your side. Whatever happens, I’ll be here. I’m not the kind of guy who walks away. I might be scare out of my f*cking mind, but I’m not running. You’re stuck with me, Harley.

Trey “…you have to know that I love you more than I ever thought possible. I have loved every second with you. You made me believe in love, you made me believe in myself, and you made me a new man.

Trey and Harley have not had an easy start. They've both had to face their demons, face the harsh realities of the destructive ways they dealt with life. But they've made it through it, together, stronger. Nothing can break them, unless they let the past destroy them.

Just as they both seem to gain their footing, their greatest fears threaten to shatter it all. But they aren't the same people they used to be. They aren't destined to repeat their mistakes, again and again.

Lauren Blakely, fuck. Did she twist my stomach with this one. This is one of those where you can't really go into the story because the 'big event' which carried most of the story line would spoil it, should you give it away. But I can say that I had moments where the ground felt like it just disappeared from beneath my feet.

I don't think it was possible to read this series and not fall utterly in love with these two characters. They both were so fragile and broken, yet their strength was so evident. Life is not pretty, it is not always roses... and although these two share beautiful moments; you don't get just a shiny love story.

As much as parts of this had me silently pleading with the book gods, I don't think I would have wanted it any other way. Trey completely robbed me of all ability to think straight pretty early in this series, his journey in this - the way he was - the things he had to face... fucking beautiful.

Lauren has done it again my friends. She just keeps getting better and better with every book. This book is well written and absolutely amazing.

I loved the Thrill of It, but this book gutted me. Trey gutted me. In a good way of course. He is so raw and tough but he carries his heart around with him in his hands. I thought I loved him before; that was nothing! I want him to tattoo something on my body!

"Because it was mad love, crazy love, insane love. Because it was hard love, good love, true love. Because it was the real thing, and a love like that can't be stopped. A love like that is inevitable."
I still get chills when I read this. I want someone to say this to me about our love.

"I hear running. Boots smacking in the hallway. Loud, heavy, fast, then skidding to a stop. And when I raise my eyes to the doorway, there he is. My Trey, in jeans, boots and a T-shirt, and I've never seen a person look happier in my entire life. His whole face lights up, almost as if he's glowing with joy, as if it's radiating through his body, lighting him up from the inside out." Sigh. That is some powerful writing!!

On a lighter note, there is some amazing, hot sex in this book! I was fanning myself. I was also excited to see my original Blakely boy, Chris get a shout out, along with Ms. Jane Black. That's one of my favorite things about Lauren Blakely. This series is so different from the books she has written in the past, but she brings them together with little things. I love discovering them!

This is a story of love and pain and a journey that's filled with obstacles and heartache. It's totally worth the ride!!

Every Second With You is the follow up book to the edgy, angsty goodness of The Thrill Of It. If you haven't read The Thrill Of It yet, STOP READING THIS REVIEW NOW TO AVOID SPOILERS!!

Everybody good? Ok. So, at the end of TTOI, we leave Harley with a positive pregnancy test. Not my most favorite ending!! I (and many others I'm sure) have been waiting anxiously to see what happens with Trey and Harley! Harley and Trey's relationship is "the ugly beautiful". It is the good that can come from all of the bad, the proof that despite horrific circumstances and pasts we can still find happiness with ourselves and in each other. Every Second With You is no exception, as Harley and Trey learn to navigate life's many roadblocks without the crutches they used before. Just like you would expect, they don't always make the best choices but continue to work towards providing a better life for themselves and their baby.

One of my favorite things about Author Lauren Blakely is her attention to detail, and this book is no exception. It's very clear that she puts a lot of effort in to research, making the book so realistic it's impossible to NOT connect with the characters and their situations.

Dealing with ghosts from the past, Harley and Trey must work hard to overcome the forces that they believe are holding them back. Once I got started with this one I was maddeningly flipping pages until I got to the end. Be prepared, you will have to make your way through several heart stopping twists before you make it to the finish line. It's totally worth it!

I finally righted the sinking ship of my life, and now it's capsized again. With one stupid mistake.

Trey and Harley are finally together after a complicated courtship in and . But now Harley has a secret that she fears will rip them apart. Trey knows something is wrong and his active mind is coming up with various negative possibilities. They have been through so much personally and with their families and fought to get to a good safe place together and now they are struggling again. They found love, but are terrified of losing it again.
Trey's past demons completely shape how he handles their new issue. And the only way he can really deal with his emotional turbulence and fear is to shut down and find ways to hide his pain. And Harley is just as scared and worried, and really needs support and understanding. Their past history is full of poor choices and emotional survival techniques, so their new coping skills are put to the test.

This is their continued story of personal growth, facing family issues, and trying to move forward into a more positive future. There are challenges, more pain, and situations that threaten them and their relationship. They have to fight not to fall back into easy and old patterns to cope as they take on what life throws at them, the good and the bad. But we see them fighting for the love and happiness they have so desperately been searching for.

"How is it that I found you? Do you ever realize how lucky we are?"~Harley
"To have each other?...I realize it every second of every day."~Trey
"Do you think it's luck?
"I think it's fate..."

Harley still has issues with her family that upset and disappoint her. But also has positive changes occurring for her and new things to focus on. She is becoming stronger, braver, and more comfortable in her own skin. She is learning to be more open and share her feelings even when she is afraid.

Trey is still dealing with repercussions from his own past, but is also maturing and figuring out what he cannot live without. He is a protector and willing to commit to those he cares about. But his deep seated fears of loss haunt him. My heart shattered for him at various times and I just wanted to soothe him.

I don't know what's going to happen. But you have to know that I love you more than I ever thought was possible. I have loved every second with you. You made me believe in love, you made me believe in myself, and you made me a new man.

But just as their lives seem to be heading in a more positive direction, they are hit with some situations that could tear them apart for good. This book was not quite as dark and gritty as the first one and was more hopeful. But it did still have some ugliness and dealt with many fears, insecurities, demons and disappointments. It was tense, nerve wracking, frustrating, romantic, sweet, passionate, emotional, and heart breaking. There were times that I wanted to shake sense into the characters and other times I wanted to hold them as they cried. It was such a moving, intense journey towards love, healing, and hope. It was told in both Trey and Harley's points of view and we got to see the changes in their thought patterns from the first book. They still have those dark, self deprecating thoughts, but now they are overshadowed by more love, contentment, and feeling connected to some one else. However, they are both still plagued by fears that they have to conquer one day at a time. Trey and Harley have incredible fiery chemistry, a true deep connection, and witty rapport. They are true soul mates who traveled from hell and back for a chance at love and a better future.

Every moment matters because sometimes they are all we have...

I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this book. I got sucked in, completely engaged, and could not wait to see where Lauren took these characters. There were surprises and plot twists that made it even more interesting. There were a few times I literally gasped or wanted to shout into my kindle. I felt every bit of pain, fear, and worry that these two did. But I also rejoiced in the sweet moments and those good ones that defined them in their journey towards happiness.

"We've all made mistakes. We've all done things we wish we hadn't. The goal is to learn and move on and try to live a life of no regrets."

Technically you could get away without reading the novella since it is a prequel to (But it is free, so why not?), but it shows just how far these two have come since the beginning. From two addicted, emotionally void people just numbing their pain to a couple with a deep connection and feelings of love for the time in their lives. It is still not easy or uncomplicated, but it is raw, significant and moving. They are rocked by changes and challenges, but finding ways to cope and move on are important parts of their recovery and growth. I felt like the first book had Harley facing more of her past and learning to overcome it (even though she does have more to face in this one as well) and this installment dealt a bit more with Trey's conquering his fears and his redemption. And this one also focused on them finding new ways to handle their trials and tribulations together.

Somehow, this has become our life, born from the darkest of circumstances, bred from the painful pull of addiction, and even so I wouldn't change a thing.

I am sorry to say goodbye to these characters, but feel like with the trilogy they have been given the full attention they deserved. They had so many complications and were so broken that finding the ugly beautiful was an uphill battle. And these two had to fight for every shred of happiness they could find. I enjoyed seeing the return of some characters from the first two books and seeing their growth and progression as well. And I also liked meeting some new ones that enriched their lives. I think Lauren nailed the end of this trilogy. It was everything I hoped for and more.

Good ending to the duology.
This was an easy read, pretty quick and flowed well. We still had the dual point of view with two narrators which is my favorite. Trey still had some obstacles to overcome, like his fear of actually being tied to someone else and saying goodbye to his past. I'm glad we got to see him repair his relationship with his family and Harley got some added support as well. Things were dicey at the end and I started to get worried, but the drama gave more depth and the romance scenes were fun.

~~ 5 Trey and Harley Stars ~~

"Because it was mad love, crazy love, insane love. Because it was hard love, good love, true love. Because it was the real thing, and a love like that can't be stopped. A love like that is inevitable."…Harley

What a roller coaster of emotion!!! I thought this was a wonderful conclusion for Trey and Harley's story. This story truly shows that if you have Love, Hope and Faith, you can get through anything as long as you stick together. The love story that Trey and Harley share was full of it's ups and downs, but I loved every minute of it. I can't even truly express what a great series this has been. I am almost sorry to see it come to an end, but I loved that Trey and Harley's story was brought full circle.

This book starts up right where we end book 1 The Thrill of It. I can't really tell you what that is because book 1 ends kind of on a cliffhanger. Just know that there is no time loss from book 1 to book 2. This book really pushed Trey and Harley to the limits. Both of them ended up having to deal with things from their past. I loved that even though Trey slips briefly back into that dark place, he realizes he doesn't need to escape or cope like that anymore and turns to Harley and they work things out together.

"We all have to cope in different ways. Trey and I learned to cope in our own ways growing up. Then we learned to heal, both alone and together, in our time. Our bodies, our hearts, our minds.".Harley

This series is truly all about coping and trying to become a better person. Both Trey and Harley were broken souls and needed to learn how to cope in healthier ways. I loved their journey, both separately and together. This book/series has had my emotions all over the place. I laughed at times, I smiled, I of course got pissed, my panties melted a time or two (maybe even more ;) ) and I fell in love. Trey and Harley will forever live in my heart and mind.

I know that this review is short, but I can't really go into much of the storyline because it would spoil both this story and book 1. All I can say is that I would definitely recommend this book/series to everyone. If you are looking for a unique story then you need to read Trey and Harley's story. I will say that I was so glad that the things I was left wondering about from book 1 were all answered and resolved in this book. This was probably one of the best series finale books I have read. I had a hard time putting it down. I was truly sad to see it end.

"Life is strong, and life is fragile. It is beauty, and it is pain.".Trey

Review of Every Second With You by Lauren Blakely
5 stars

Even as I start to write this, I have Goosebumps. My entire body tingles. Trey and Harley’s story touched my heart…again. Theirs was a beautiful journey. They faced many obstacles and many challenges. They felt uncertainty, they felt fear, they felt trepidation, and they felt hope and they felt love. More than anything, they felt love.

This was a story about how love, true love, can overcome any obstacle. It can re-write history and pave a way for a different and brighter future. That is what Harley and Trey did. They let their love pave the way for them.

Harley and Trey’s journey continues with some possibly life changing revelations. Harley’s pregnancy throws Trey at first but it isn’t long before the two show each other that they can adapt and adjust to whatever life throws their way.

They grow together and embrace the newest chapter in their lives while saying goodbye to past demons. Harley uncovers a lie her mother kept from her. As she uncovers the truth about her past and her family she has to come to terms with the person her mother is and that she may never change.

Harley finds her grandparents again and discovers what a beautiful place they live in and how wonderful it is to be surrounded by love and support. They even offer their guest house to Harley and Trey who are all too happy to accept and live their days in the sunlight and sand.

“’Then we don’t have to worry about the past, because we have this-the present-and then the future. But the thing is we do have to worry about the past... At least, I do.

Harley and Trey are on their way to their happily ever after. They soon realize however that the road to happiness is paved with obstacles, challenges and possible detours. They will both have to face their pasts before they can embrace their future. Then they will have to face all those things which are out of their control. Who will have to be strong while the other is weak?

“And this love is given freely. Love without chains, without agenda, love simply because it can’t be anything but. This is love that lasts. Love that holds on through the years, through absence, not knowing, not seeing, not hearing, but still in endures, because it is real and strong and everlasting.

This is the sequel to The Thrill of It and the conclusion to Harley and Trey’s story. I loved every minute of Every Second With You. I loved the pain, the pleasure, the struggle, the complications, the addictions, the romance, the angst. It was so good!

I was on the fence with book one, then Harley and Trey sucked me in by the end...so was really looking forward to this and to what would happen to this enigmatic couple. That being said, I just could not get it going...I am in no way saying this was a bad read, I just dont think i was focused...so i blame my shitty mood on not loving this!

What i liked...I really like the odd couple of the sex addicted Trey and the virgin call girl Harley. Totally different, but likeable. For me Trey Westin was the bomb! He stuggled with his need for control and was tempted often to find his way thru his sexcapades...but his love for Harley was so big and good that he could not go back! I loved how he loved her, how he needed her, and how she made him better. I especially loved how open this couple was. For a young couple they got each other, and they never lied or miscommunicated!

So obvioulsy i liked alot...what is the problem? Well, I cant believe I'm about to bitch about sex, but a bit too much! These two have sex alot and for everything. They seem to communicate with it whether good or bad. It was a bit too much "I need you, I love you, I cant get enough of you...let's screw"! I mean...full term preggars just in a MVA and they go home and have sex? Then there was my whole issue with Harley's family. What the hell is up with her mother? This woman is a blank character...odd, no emotion, just unable to figure out her purpose. Then her newly found family...just so damn happy and perfect..where the hell have they been for the last 14 years?

Enough of my rant! Maybe in a different mindset I would have loved this. It was sweet, it had angst, and it had alot of passion...I am grateful for a complete conclusion and a happy glimpse into the future, but it was just OK for me.

I received an ARC for a Honest Review.

I have read all of Lauren's books and they have all been Amazing. The No Regret Series is different from the others and I Love it! It has twists and turns and it is a roller-coaster ride of emotions that I you will want to get on. I laughed, I cried and all the emotions in between.

At times I felt like I was in the book as a supporting character for Trey and Harley. They have to deal with many obstacles throughout their relationship and it is not always easy and I enjoy that those times are shown in the book and they not just picture perfect. But They have a bond that not many couples have and their passion is both Sweet and Hot! Trey sure does have a way of making sweet naughty.

This series is about the Ugly Beautiful and Every Second With You is all about hope and change. It teaches you that if you want to change your path you can if you have hope and if feels amazing to have people around that support and Love you.

Lauren Blakely continues with Harley and Trey’s story in Every Second with You, and where their relationship has progressed to. Lauren spills out the biggest juiciest thing that has happened to Harley and Trey. Harley is scared to tell Trey the truth because she’s afraid he’s going to leave her. Trey is dealing with his pressures still of getting over his sex addiction. He’s tempted immediately by his past due to a past sex interest coming back after so many years not being around. She has someone with her though that has caught Trey’s eye and made him even more nervous.

I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to New Adult readers out there.

I look forward to reading more books from Lauren Blakely. She has become an auto-buy Author for me. =)

I received an arc for a honest review...

What a beautiful ending to Harley and Trey's story! I am so extremely happy with how their story tuned out! Beautiful job Lauren Blakely! Just beautiful!

These two have come through many obstacles but love has led their way!

There is so much I'd love to say about this book but then I'd be giving so many spoilers and I just don't do that!

This book was a very emotional one as Harley and Trey continue to struggle with their past but in the end, it's just simply love that pulls it all together!

I am giving this book a solid 5 stars and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I felt all the feels with this one-happiness, wanting to throw my ereader at Lauren, relief and happiness again, sadness almost to the point of tears and then happiness again. I love Trey and Harley. He is super sexy in this one!

This is the final book in a trilogy of shorts that bridge together to make one cohesive story of a damaged boy and a damaged girl who heal together to become a whole unit as a pair. While it appears that they may have come up with a plan to live happily ever after, the universe isn't quite ready for that to happen and many twists, turns and challenges are sent their way that may not leave them standing. Excellent character development that leads the reader to making a great connection and investment to how the story unfolds. Definitely an enjoyable listen as multiple narrators help breathe life into the characters and enhance the plot!

I absolutely loved this book! It was so much better than the first one and really kept me on my toes. I couldnt put it down. We get to learn more about their past as they are faced with some unplanned news. A baby.

In this book we learn more about Trey's past and what it really was like for him bouncing from one woman to another. And when a little boy gets off the elevator with the same green eyes as him, will that be a wrench stuck between Harley and Trey? Then we all know what happened to Trey's brothers, so when medical issues start to plague Harley, will history repeat itself?

For Harley this book is all about finding and connecting with her father's side of her family. She has grandparents that were there for her the entire time only to be hidden by her, once again, horrific mother.

I didn’t quite know where Lauren was going with this story and at first, I thought it was going longer than it needed to be but then, the grandparents, and the plane, and Cam, and the labor and whoah! I didn’t think I could relate to a new adult romance but dang if Harley’s issues with delivery did not take me back to my own experience all those years ago.

Best performance by Joe Arden ever. Vanessa was great as well.

I am awe struck, star struck, blown away. Lauren Blakely has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I absolutely LOVED The Thrill of It. I loved Trey and Harely and could not wait another minute to see where their journey would take them in Every Second With You. Well, I will just say that I was BLOWN away. Lauren took you on a bumpy journey, and it was worth EVERY SECOND.
“…it was mad love, crazy love, insane love. Because it was the real thing, and a love like that can’t be stopped. A love like that is inevitable.

Trey and Harley are together and their love is beautiful, deep and so strong. They have come so far in their relationship and their love. The bond these two shared was unbreakable.

It is so difficult to review this book without giving anything away. I will say with every book Lauren writes, her words fill your heart, twist into a million pieces, and sucks you in. Her writing is perfect—stronger and more powerful with every book she writes.

Trey and Harley are thrown an unexpected twist—a secret is exposed and threatens to send Trey running. From fear, the unknown, failure. He’s tempted to return to his old ways, to escape. Harley is petrified. She doesn’t want to lose the man who holds her heart.
“I don’t know what’s going on inside him, and I wish I could crawl up into him, feel his heart, read his mind, and know what’s happening.

Trey knows one thing. That he loves Harley and he can’t lose her. She is his air, holds his heart, completes him.
“I don’t know, I can’t know, and my feet feel unsteady and my breath is thin, but there is one thing I can hold on to—that I don’t want to lose touch with her. She is my rock, she is my hope, she is my every-fucking-thing, and so I don’t let go of her. I cling to her, my chin against her hair, her body gathered in my arms.

Trey and Harley grow and learn so much in this book. They grow up. They face obstacles. You fall in love with them all over again. There are so many layers in their story and Lauren has you engrossed, enthralled, feeling every raw emotion they feel. There is angst, love, pain, beauty and extremely hot epic sex. I absolutely LOVED this story. I am so sad to see this series come to an end. Lauren Blakely wrote an epic follow up to The Thrill of It. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in future books!!!

I have so much love for this book and series. I have been waiting for this book since the moment I finished The Thrill of It. And the wait was worth it.

Trey and Harley are back in the ugly beautiful they found and worked for in The Thrill of It, and even though they found that beautiful, life goes on, and new challenges arise. Both characters are faced with specters of their pasts, the pasts they thought they had left behind.

The good parts of their life are full of sweet. Those everyday type moments of connection and chemistry are all over this story. Both Harley and Trey had difficult journey’s they’ve traveled to get to this point, so seeing their quiet moments (or at least private, if not quiet) reinforces the confidence they have in each other.

Each time something comes up, Trey and Harley have to work to maintain the progress they’ve made in battling their addictions and moving past the hurt and ugliness they have climbed through. From the secret Harley learns at in Thrill of It, to one of Harley’s former clients, to a blast from Trey’s past they each have their individual challenges to overcome as well as those they face as a couple. But I loved that even in the face of challenges and surprises, Harley and Trey remembered to turn to each other for support rather than run away. Yes, there were a couple points where each character tries to avoid an issue, or revert to their addict patterns, but ultimately they turn to each other for support and help. I never found myself frustrated with the characters here either. Their personalities, actions, and reactions are so true to the characters that nothing they did struck me as off or forced. This whole story flowed effortlessly (at least on the part of the plot -- the characters had plenty of struggles).

I felt like Trey especially had a lot to overcome in this book. His fears really drive a lot of his reactions for much of the book. His low points had me aching along with him. Maybe even more than he was, since part of his m.o. was to shut down and avoid and as an observer, I couldn’t do that. I don’t think I felt fear and pain from Harley quite the same way. Maybe because she had already moved past a lot of the hard events from the first book and when she faced her struggles in this book she faced them head on, proactively, with a strength we hadn’t seen from her before.

There was so much going on throughout this book, it almost felt like a several novellas grouped together. Between the family tension and secrets, and outside threats, there was something new coming up for the couple as soon as they resolved one problem, another popped up to take their attention. There were appearances by Cam, Kelsey and Jordan again in supporting roles, as well as both’s parents, but this really was truly Harley and Trey’s journey and the focus stayed on them. From the moment I started reading I didn’t want to put this down. (And even before I started reading it took a lot of effort not to read it before I had the time to give it.)

Thanks to Lauren Blakely for providing me with an arc copy in exchange for an honest review.

By now, I've read quite a few books by Lauren Blakely, but I have to say that this series is by far my favourite, and this book is the perfect conclusion. I couldn't wait to get started on it and I was definitely not disappointed once I did.

~Every moment matters, because sometimes they are all we have.~

So THE THRILL OF IT ended on a bit of a shocker, and EVERY SECOND WITH YOU picks up pretty much exactly where book #1 ended, so we don't miss even a single thought that runs through Harley's mind about this new development that could completely ruin everything she and Trey have fought for.

~I've slipped into my own worst nightmare where I'm tumbling into the endless dark.~

Oh boy. This book Drama. Packed! I couldn't even tell you how many "Ohmigod!" and "Oh no!" moments that I had while reading because honestly, it was a crazy ride. I spent the majority of the book both nervous and excited at what I would find, and at one time I won't lie, I was scared to keep reading but I couldn't pull myself away from my Kindle.

~The word rattles in my head, rings in my ears. The word I least want to hear. The word no one wants to hear.~

Lauren Blakely writes some flipping fantastic characters but I think the characters in this series are the ones that will stick with me the most. Trey and Harley are the sweetest, most deserving, and perfect couple that she has created in my opinion and I have so much love for them. And special mention has to go to Cam. I wasn't sure if we would get to see the pimp with a heart of gold after what happened in book #1 but I will say that he does make a few appearances, and I love him more than ever!

~Sometimes people meet in the toughest of circumstances, and the strangest of places, and there's no reason why they should be together, except that they can't not be.~

On my Kindle, so much of EVERY SECOND WITH YOU has been highlighted. From amazing quotes, to things that happened throughout the book that made me feel. I was taken on such a journey with Trey and Harley, that resulted in plenty of tears, both happy and sad, and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way.

~Because it was mad love, crazy love, insane love. Because it was hard love, good love, true love. Because it was the real thing, and a love like thst can't be stopped. A love like that is inevitable.~

In case you haven't guessed it by now, I would highly recommend this book and this series. Trey and Harley showed me the ugly beautiful, and it's something that I'll never forget.

~It lasts forever, for always, because of the love they have and the way they love. And how they learned to love together. Fierce and true.~
