Oy.

This was NOT my kind of book.

I had so many issues with this one it is hard to know where to start. First of all, this is an pseudo-GFY/OFY story with a repressed sexuality brought out by amnesia. Following me? It involves a lot of action, a lot of people who are secretly gay, and a surprising amount of angst/abuse content. Now, while I think there was a lot of potential there, this story was waaaayy too soap opera-ish for me.

Let's talk about my problems, shall we?

1) Miscommunications: One of my number one pet peeves rears its ugly head! Jamie and Trevor have one miscommunication after another. The moment one of them is going to say something significant, something happens to interrupt them or they decide to keep it to themselves. I was SO frustrated with the lack of communication between ALL of the characters in this book, including the side characters!! It was difficult for me to read.

2) Boner-ville: You know those books where the guys have permanent hard-ons and can have sex and orgasm, like, 100 times in a day? This is one of those stories. These guys get hard from EVERYTHING! A glance? Insta-boner. A suggestive word? Rock hard. These guys... it's like jizz-central up in here! I don't know about the kinds of men that you've met, but after the teenage years, I think coming more than 3 times in an hour isn't really happening for most guys.

3) The mystery: While not bad (I didn't know who the bad guy was until the end), the whole way the plot is organized is sort of crazy. It is the type of book where you are shouting at your e-reader, "Open that F-ing box, you moron!" and the MC just puts it down. These guys were their own worst enemies. The mystery is also sort of... frenetic. It reminded me of a plot. Kind of implausible and silly, but sort of made sense. It was just too outlandish for my tastes.

I think that readers who enjoy lots of drama and some action will like this book. I, however, found it a little hard to finish. Oh, it was also clear that this was a spin-off book, and while you don't need the other stories to figure this one out, it would have been nice to know ahead of time.

%#@*! %&*#! $#@*!

That's it!
description

I'm sooooo done!
description

DNF at 57%!!!

Trevor is one of the most unlikable, obnoxious, and asshole-y MCs I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. Here are just some of the "gems" that came from this guy:
"...I know I took up your entire day today, but do you think you could go with me? Fuck, that sounds like such a girl thing to say."
"...I like that you worry about me, but seriously, dude, you need to remember, I'm still a guy."
"Forgive me, but I don't feel like growing a vagina for you. I'll fight my own battles thank you very much."
This guy was so damn obsessed with this masculinity and being nothing but manly that it skidded past ridiculousness and into the land of utter absurdity. Oh, yeah, it makes you oh-so damn weak to want someone's help after you've suffered a traumatic head injury, went into a coma, woke up and didn't have any memories of your life, and could barely stand up because of your fucked-up ankle. Oh, how fucking unmanly! *gasp* Not to mention the fact that by equating anything you see as weak in you to being girly makes you sound like a damn misogynistic prick!
description

But wait! There's more!
"Fuck," Trevor moaned. "You're a guy. How can you cock-block me? Both of us?"
Promiscuous? Really? Fuck, most guys did not get all angst-ridden over how many people they slept with. So he was gay now and a girl.
Sorry to burst your bubble, Trevor (not really!), but you've fallen for the myth that men think about having sex every 7 seconds
description
...and that they can't refuse sex, no matter how they're feeling emotionally, when there is a willing body in front of them.
description

The only reason I am not one-starring this book (even if I DNF'd it) is because of some tidbits that readers were provided about Trevor's past as his memory gradually started to come back. There was a very vague reference that he might have suffered physical and/or emotional abuse as a child, and also, we were told that some members of his family are pretty homophobic. It is possible that Trevor is so obsessed with being masculine because he was conditioned to be macho and not show even the slightest tendency to be anything but to avoid being abused by his family. I don't know. This is just a theory on my part since I couldn't be bothered, at all, to finish this book and find out if I was right. I just couldn't deal with this guy anymore...

Re-read in Nov.2017 before moving forward in this series. And I enjoyed it much more than the first time.

Trevor and Jamie have been friends for a long time, despite Trevor’s uncle loud disapproval of his nephew frequenting a gay. As much as Jamie values this friendship, his unrequited love for Trevor takes a hard toll on him. However, there’s no way he can run away when Trevor ends up in hospital after a bad hiking accident which leaves him with amnesia. For Trevor, Jamie, this guy he can’t remember, is the only one he feels at ease around and is deeply attracted to.

As days go by, Trevor is trying to reconcile his feelings for Jamie with what he learns about his self before the accident, dealing with intense nightmares about torture and his anxiety about recovering his memories, especially the one related to a case he was working on as a law enforcement officer.

My niggles from my first read were still there : the story sometimes feels a tad too farfetched for my taste and there was some eye-rolling at the constant hornyness of the MCs. But I put that aside because I got quickly found of the characters, the suspense was well written and riveting and finally the chemistry between Trevor and Jamie was strong and hot and made for very steamy moments.

Very entertaining, so much that I’m ready to move to .

Man gets hit on the head, wakes up with amnesia, and also
Ok, most of this story was utterly ridiculous, but it was fun. Jamie has been in love with his VERY straight best friend for years. He finally decides to leave town, and the friend, Trevor, gets injured, wakes up with amnesia, and a major hard on for this best friend he doesn't even know. Of course, Jamie can't leave now, but he's also afraid to make the wrong move here, and risk losing his friend forever once he gets his memory back.

To be honest, I wasn't really sure WHY Jamie was so in love with Trevor. Amnesia Trevor wasn't a bad guy, but you get the idea that regular Trevor isn't all that great. He's a serious man whore, who has no problems sleeping with married women.

There is a crazy mystery afoot, involving how Trevor came to be injured, and also how he came to think he was straight, some horrible repressed memories, more injuries, and a plot that really doesn't make much sense, but as I said, it was fun. So if logic isn't a thing for you, maybe you'd like this book.

This is the beautifully written and emotional book, Snowcroft Lost by Christi Snow!

Trevor and Jamie have many secrets and lies between then and this is also how their 14 year friendship has lasted for such a long time. For Jamie it's getting harder and harder to ignore his love for Trevor, his best friend who is straight. So the only way he can cope is to walk away from their friendship, his home and his work. Before Jamie gets a chance to leave everything he loves, his best friend Trevor has a freak accident which leaves him with amnesia. Now the fun begins with the secret and lies that should have remained hidden, could possibly be out and center for everyone to see. You will be shocked that Trevor wakes up gay and thinking maybe he was gay already, even though he was proclaimed to be a true ladies man. Just wait to see how this incredible story unfold as it will be mind blowing!

My heart broke for what Trevor and Jamie went through in their past and really hoping that they can have the HEA that they actually deserve. It was such fun reading about these great characters as you will feel them so much and they will stay with you well past when your done reading this excellent novel. The author takes you on a wild ride that you will not be forgetting for some time to come. I loved how the author wrote about some of the serious issues that affect gay men on a regular basis such as abuse, prejudice and small town bigotry. The way Christi handled these issue was so realistically and beautifully written and I was extremely impressed with her body of work. I also enjoyed the authors style of writing so much as it's very detailed, thought provoking and very well researched. Lets not forget the steamy and hot MM love between these characters!

This is my first novel by Christi Snow that I have read but one thing I know is that it won't be the last by any means. I highly recommend Snowcroft Lost to anyone who wants to read a beautifully written story of love, lust, angst, mystery and the unconditional love of two beautiful friends!

First off, I think this book should come with a trigger warning as it deals with the abuses associated with conversion therapy. Specifically, genetalia torture. There's nothing explicitly described, but a clear picture is drawn based on Trevor's scarring.

Second, I have to address my biggest isssue with this book....the misogynistic comments being dropped all over the place. Every time either one of the main characters showed some emotion or vulnerability they were "acting like a girl" or were "growing a vagina." Seriously with this shit?!?! And from a female author too?!?!

Image result for seriously gif

Also, the beginning feels like you're dropped into a story already in progress, so I don't know if this is a spin-off series? I feel like I missed some of the back story between Jamie and Trevor as it seems they were in the middle of some epic friendship-changing fight when Trevor has his accident? We never get the details about the fight, so I'm a bit confused.

BUT I have to say that this story was addicting and entertaining(ish). Definitely over the top, so go in planning to suspend some reality.

It felt like a soap opera at times, but damn it I just couldn't stop reading. I'm a sucker for friends to lovers stories and the added amnesia plot added just enough angst to keep me flipping the pages.

I'm not sure if I'll read the entire series, but there is one character introduced here that has intrigued me....especially with the potential of some serious hurt/comfort happening in his book.

This did the job. I had no idea what to read and I chose this and it entertained me. I myself would need to be heavily medicated and probably locked in a padded room if I woke up and didn't know who I was, but here, it just wouldn't have worked with the story :) No one really seemed too concerned that Trevor had no idea who he was, not even Trevor. Entertaining regardless.

Oh, and the mystery and the past were kind of disturbing.

I see there is a next book about the bar owner I think. I don't know about him. I'll probably read it.

I gotta admit, I love a good amnesia story. It's just so much fun to see how the characters all handle it and what memories come out of the woodwork as the story progresses. I know it's a cliched trope, but it's still fun. I thought it was done really well here and I loved the characters. Trevor and Jaime made me care about them and what they were going through. I'm definitely looking forward to the next one set in Snowcroft.

Great start to a new series. Snowcroft Lost is a perfect a perfect mix of mystery/suspense and romance. I loved that the author didn’t make the ending perfect but it still had a HEA. I’m anxious for the next book to come out.

I had to put the book down several times, not because I thought it was bad but because of the butterflies in my stomach. It just had me on edge the whole time I was reading it. I wanted to get to the end to find out what happened, but at the same time I was so nervous to get there. When I wasn't reading I was wondering what was happening in their world. Trevor and Jamie were extra hot in this book. Their chemistry together was sexy, explosive and aww so sweet. Not going to say anything that happened in the book because it's one of those books where you find out things as you read, so I don't want to spoil it for the reader. This is my first book by this author and won't be my last I'm so glad this is going to be a series.

I don't know who I felt more for in this book: Jamie for his fears that he could so easily lose everything that suddenly lands in his lap or Trevor for what he went through. (And, yes, I'm going to remain distressingly vague about a lot of things in this review because I don't want to spoil anyone.)

(attempts to find vague way of saying things. erases entire paragraph and starts again.)

So. Trevor and Jamie. Best friends. Trev's a teeny-tiny bit of a man-whore. Frankly, he goes through women like new socks and is kind of confused about that when he wakes up with no memory. Because those lusty feelings he now has for Jamie feel right. They feel right, man.

Meanwhile, Jamie has a hard time reconciling having his dreams suddenly coming true. When a man you think is straight and you have a long history with suddenly wants you the way you want him, things get complicated. And confusing. The potential for heartbreak is sky high and yet Jamie can't deny himself a taste of that dream.

Throw in an investigation, a severely homophobic family member, and more secrets than you can shake a stick at and you have a winner. *thumbs up*

A review.

When I read a romantic suspense, what I am really looking for is that perfect balance between the two elements. I want both a great, well developed romance, and I also want an exciting, action-packed thriller. I am so happy to say that author Christi Snow really delivers with Snowcroft Lost, and I was completely captivated both by the romance between Trevor and Jamie, as well as the excellent suspense elements.

So, starting with the romantic end, what I really loved here is how Snow takes something that doesn’t seem to totally work on paper, and completely sells it. I mean, the idea of a guy getting hit on the head and waking up gay should be total eye roll crazy, yet it works perfectly here. It never felt contrived to me, and as the story continues and we learn more about the case and Trevor’s past, it just completely works.

Read Jay's review in its entirety .

4.5 stars!

Fun, sex, action sequences, villains, hurt/comfort-y goodness, mystery, sex, oh I already said that one didn't I? Sorry, I was thinking about Trevor in leather pants, biker boots and jacket on his motorcycle. Forgive me. ;)

In other words, I really liked it.

the first time I read Christi Snow it was for another MF series - and I adored the book. so when I saw that she also wrote MM, I put this one on my TBR .... and there it stayed, till now.
and I am really sorry that it took me so long to read it.
I loved the dynamics between the MCs. I adored the secondary characters (especially his sister was great)

all in all a great read.

So glad I received this book as a gift!! I love a good friends to lover troupe and this one nailed it 😀

Trevor and Jaime have been best friends for 14 years and Jaime has been in love with him since the beginning. Lately there has been tension and fight between the friends and Jaime just can’t do it anymore. He needs a new start. Same day he makes that decision, Trevor has a horrible accident and loses his memory.

Jaime is with him at the hospital when Trevor wakes up but still refuses to leave him alone. He helps Trevor cope while their then offers his home when he is released but still not healed.

Trevor on the other hand can’t figure out why Jaime and him are “just friends when there is so much more between them. But soon they can’t fight it. Even though Jaime is scared Trevor will leave when his memories surface, he just can’t deny them both what could be.

There is a mystery element due to what Trevor was working on when he lost his memory, but it definitely doesn’t overshadow the two men. It does come to a head at the end and the true criminals are revealed when the mystery was resolved.

Thank you again LOLA for the wonderful gift! I’m definitely going to read the next book ☺️

In an MM romance novel, it's pretty much guaranteed something is going to be stiff, it's just unfortunate when that thing is the writing/dialogue.

4 1/2... and yeah, I can't wait for the next book.

I received Snowcroft Lost in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is a book that I have been waiting for since I saw the title and read the synopsis. Christi Snow is not only an amazing author, she is also an avid reader and reviewer. From the time that I started reading books in the M/M Genre I have been following her recommendations. We have very similar taste in books, so if she likes it I know that I’m going to as well. I’m also a huge fan of her writing. Even though my reading taste is eclectic, it’s no secret that my preference is PNR. I have a handful of authors that are my go-to when it comes to contemporary. Christi is at the top of that list. When I found out that she was going to make the leap into the M/M genre I was more than a little excited. I had no doubt that she would nail it, and just so you know, I wasn’t disappointed.

The characters in Snowcroft Lost were introduced in the last book in Christi Snow’s When the Mission Ends series When Love Intrudes. The meeting was brief, but it was enough to give you a taste of things to come. What it didn’t do was prepare me for where the relationship between these two guys would end up. Half way through this book I was wondering exactly how I was going to review this book without giving anything away I’m still trying to figure that one out. A lot happened in Snowcroft Lost and a lot of what happened took me totally by surprise.

One thing that I did expect was for these characters to make me feel and that they did. There were a lot of serious issues touched on in this book and the author didn’t hold back or sugar coat a thing. Abuse, bigotry, prejudice and more were thrown into the mix, along with a heavy dose of reality when it comes to danger in the line of duty. All of that was balanced with love, loyalty a strong sense of family and a healthy dose of romance. Another thing that I’ve come to expect from Christi Snow is a character driven story and Snowcroft Lost was definitely no exception. I’ve officially fallen in love with another set of characters and I can’t wait to get to know them all better.

There were times that my heart was breaking for both Jamie and Trevor. Sometimes those moments happened simultaneously. I couldn’t stop reading it, but I didn’t want it to end. I guess it’s a good thing that this is only the first book in a series because that means there’s more to come. One of the fun things about starting a series that you know is going to involve more than one main character is trying to figure out who may be featured next. Readers are clued in at the end in an author’s note, but you’ll have to read the book to find out. I don’t even want to risk giving that much away. I will say that one of my favorite ‘young characters from When Love Intrudes makes an appearance in Snowcroft Lost and readers are once again promised that he will eventually get his story.

Just a suggestion reading When Love Intrudes isn’t necessary before you pick up Snowcroft Lost. I do recommend it though because it will give you a better understanding of the characters. It sets up the ‘relationship between Jamie and Trevor perfectly and also gives you some background into Jamie’s interaction with a couple of other characters. Of course, you shouldn’t read When Love Intrudes without reading the other books in the When the Mission Ends series. It’s totally up to you, though. I can pretty much guarantee that once you start, you’ll be hooked. You can thank me later

"Let's get one thing straight. If you're gay, that in no way means that you're messed up."

I looked for this book in preparation to read which is second installment of the series. And the blurb didn't really attract me: amnesia, gay-for-you... And I thought: seriously?? People could turn gay because of amnesia???
Still, I felt I had to read it, and then tut tuted at my own presumption!

This is NOT a GFY story. What it is IS a brainwashed person with suppressed feelings that jumped out of the caged as a result of said person's amnesia. Yeah, I know. AMNESIA. Not so impressed with this theme in a story myself. And I did have misgivings, but Ms. Snow's writing ease them somewhat. And despite some teeth-grinding moments, I found that I quite like this book.

Jamie and Trevor met their college years when Trevor came to work at Jamie's family's construction business one summer; and they became fast friends. Being the only gay guy in a small town and kept feeling for his straight best-friend took toll on him that Jamie decided to relocate to bigger city. Before it happened Trevor had freak accident that caused him lost his memory and started to throw flirty hints to Jamie.

Cheesy eh? But this was not all. Turned out there were even bigger things lurked than Trevor's "suddenly becoming gay" and life's hang on the line that Trevor's memory could help to save.

I like both Jamie and Trevor's characters; they completed each other with their night and day personalities. Trevor's present and past jackassery notwithstanding, he's described as a good special investigator with Forestry Service. Jamie was a more calming and quiet to his charming, manwhore persona friend. I liked that Jamie didn't giddily jump at the chance when he first noticed Trevor's attraction to him, After being level-headed first half of the book, this impulsive behaviour of his was soo disappointing!

As for Trevor... I find his past with his estranged uncle, the fall, the blow in the head and the case he's been working; all rather too conveniently tied in. And despite he's being charming, everyone - even his family - thought him as a shallow person, which was really awful. Shame that this book never showed Trevor-before-the-fall, that I couldn't really consider how far he changed.

Another thing that also boggled me was . But since I initially found Jack/Dex's story first before backtracking to this book, who am I to complain!? XP

The mystery itself was predictable, along with the suspicious villainous characters and how it all unveiling. A bit stunned that the author "killed" one of the good guy, although I could understand the reason behind it all - prep for another book to come. Behold an upcoming MC with such hurt and traumatic past... But that's to be, I don't know, book 3 or 4??

Overall, I enjoyed the premises so I'm really looking forward, and hopeful, to the next books in the series.

Sexy, Sweet and Suspenseful!!!

Christi is one of my go-to authors and I pre-ordered this book as soon as that pre-order button was up! LOL Christi knows how to create characters with such depth and keep up suspense as well as steamy romance and hot sex scenes!!! You first meet the two main characters in When Love Intrudes.....the series finale to her amazing When The Mission Ends series although this new series is stand alone. This book is the first in a new M/M series set in a gorgeous and mountainous Snowcroft. And this intro will have you impatient for more in the series, trust me!!

Trevor and Jamie have been best friends for over 14 years. Jamie has hidden his feelings for Trevor as Trevor is straight and quite the ladies' man. It's obvious from early on there are issues in Trevor's life and also undercurrents of something sinister in the sleepy, rural town of Snowcroft. Just as Jamie decides he needs to move far away from Trevor to move on and yet preserve his friendship with Trevor.....he finds out Trevor has been missing and in an accident that takes his memory. Now you may think that the fact that Trevor "wakes up gay" is unbelievable.....but just wait until you read how it all unfolds! Christi is amazing at how she shows this relationship grow and deepen and completely make sense!

As Trevor and Jamie are navigating their changing relationship, events in the town as well as long-buried memories of Trevor's show a danger that needs to be stopped before it catches up with our guys! I don't want to post any spoilers....but you're in for a real treat with a storyline that will keep you glued to the book as well as the hot m/m loving we want! Be ready for a roller coaster ride.....love, anger, sadness, mystery! The ending will leave you with a smile and warm feeling for these two hunky guys, but it will leave you a bit stunned and definitely wanting more! You'll have to read it to see just why. We are also allowed to peek at some very important secondary characters who we just know will have their story told in future books in this series.

If you enjoy m/m stories then you will NOT want to miss this one! I'll be reaching for this story for a Snowcroft fix as I wait for the next story! LOL

Every time I pick up a book by , I lose a day. Woosh, it's gone and I am sucked into a wonderful story. That trend held true with Snowcroft Lost. I started this book this morning and could not put it down until I hit the end. I thought the amnesia plot was pretty clever and done very well.

Trevor had some serious demons in his past that he had very likely repressed and he couldn't get passed those demons until he started again with a blank slate. Jamie has been in love with Trevor, pretty much since they met, 14 years ago. Trevor was always straight, though, so he was off limits. That would seriously suck. Jamie nearly walked away from 14 years of friendship out of self preservation.

In , it was obvious that Jamie was in love with Trevor and that Trevor was just too stubborn to see it. I loved that Jamie and Trevor finally got to explore their feelings for one another. The suspense part of the story was really good, too. While one of the bad guys was pretty obvious, another was more hidden. I totally did not guess that one.

I really can't wait until the next book in this series. Come on Christi Snow -- write faster!

I went into this book with a completely open mind, and I’m really glad that I did. This story was one that dragged me in from the first page and I couldn’t put it down until I had finished it all.

The story starts out almost in the middle, we meet Jamie and find out how he feels towards Trevor, and what he plans to do on that. When he finds Trevor, his plans change.

I was worried because the story starts with Trevor having amnesia and before he gets his memories back, he develops an attraction that he has towards his best friend Jamie. I was worried that it was one of those stories that was going to be too easy to figure out what was going to happen at the end. But I am glad that there were tons of twists and turns that happened that kept me on my toes.

The one big thing that I was still left wondering, we never found out when he started those feelings, or when those feelings started. Of what was going on with him before the accident happened. Now granted, as the story progressed you could really tell that Trevor had feelings towards Jamie besides just friendship. And when Trevor did end up with his memory back, he still had those feelings. But I was still left wondering
I think that there are some situations that happen during the book that are very hard to read and get through just because of the topic that was brought up. But I think that the author did an amazing job talking about such serious things. She did it with an extreme amount of consideration and respect.

I do think that the author has an amazing start to a new series and I really can’t wait to find out what happens next.

*Reviewer warning: This book contains memories of past abuse and hints of current abuse to GLBT youth.

Best friends since childhood Trevor and Jamie's relationship has grown strained to the point that Jamie is thinking of pulling up stakes and moving away but finding Trevor clinging to life changes that especially when Trevor wakes up with trauma induced amnesia and Jamie is the only one that makes him feel safe and sane. I was so caught up in these two men, in their long friendship of Jamie wanting Trevor whom he's always known as straight and Trevor awakening from a coma and apparently not straight, of the twisted and sordid past coming in to haunt them both and both coming to terms with a new and exciting relationship one Jamie worries will end when Trevor's memory returns.

These two must climb obstacle after obstacle, face down demons known and some a little more sneaky, and through it all they must deal with facing the town as their relationship becomes known. Much happens not only between Trevor and Jamie but in the investigation into Trevor's accident with the agent he's been working with and the heinous crimes taking place under the noses of the residents of this sleepy New Mexico town.

I enjoyed this story very much and it laid a very good foundation for the series but at times it seemed to drag however, I'm not sorry I read it and I was very happy to see these two again in the second book.

Is it too inarticulate to review this book by simply saying "Dang"? Because that was definitely the word that was on my mind when I finished the last page. I've read over a hundred books already this year and this one is definitely high up on the list of the best ones I've read. Not meaning to make an over pun on the title, but the world that Christi Snow has created here makes it very easy to get lost in Snowcroft. The characters are dynamic and very well-written - and I found myself both cheering and aching for Jamie and Trevor so many times throughout the book. Even though I had my suspicions about who was behind the crimes that Trevor was investigating before his amnesia set in, I can honestly say I had not pinned down all of the ways things unfolded. For me, that's a hallmark of a great mystery and so rarely do I read something where I don't have it all figure out before the 'big reveal'.

Highly, highly recommend this one. And I'm certainly looking forward to further installments in this series - both because I want to read more from this author and also because I can't wait to go back to Snowcroft and spend time with the men who live there...

Jamie is planning to leave town. He is in love with his best friend Trevor, who happens to be straight. Jamie can't torture himself anymore, so his only option is escape, until Trevor is involved in a freak accident and suffers amnesia. When Trevor finally wakes up, he doesn't know who he is. He doesn't remember anything, but the 1st thing he sees is a beautiful man in front of him, who claims to be his best friend, Jamie.

Jamie decides to stick around and help Trevor. He can't desert his best friend in his time of need. What happens when a supposedly straight Trevor claims to be very attracted to Jamie. Will Jamie go with the flow, and live out his dreams of being with Trevor or will he decide the risk is too much?

These characters had really good chemistry. The book moved along at a nice pace and kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next!

I loved this book. It was the perfect mix. It has angst, drama, mystery, romance, HOT sex.. What more could you ask for?! I am looking forward to more books in this series!!

Jamie has been in love with his straight best friend Trevor forever and just when he can no longer take the pain of one sided love an accident ends with Trevor losing his memory. Trevor wakes not remembering anything. What happened? Why was he out on the trail by himself? and who is this gorgeous stranger by his bed? All of a sudden Jamie's wildest dreams are coming true when Trevor decides he wants a relationship with him but can he trust Trevor's feelings when he can't even remember his own name? As Trevor's memory slowly returns he gets deeper in his investigation of a human trafficking organization that may be happening in the very forest that he protects. Maybe that accident wasn't really an accident.

I've always found it interesting that what I think or feel about a book depends heavily on my mood and mental state when I decide to read something.

And I NEEDED this book right now! The investigation/mystery was engaging enough to keep me interested. (Although I concede that the bigoted villain was pretty OTT.) The characters were developed enough, their story and history angsty enough to make me care. Not to mention some steamy sexy time to liven things up even more.

The tropes here are common (amnesia, unrequited love...), but presented well. The author did a good job setting up potential future storylines without leaving gaping holes in this book....I really enjoyed this!
