I found the character spud a little too creepy. Maybe I need to watch Bob the Builder more. This pre-level 1 reader has few words to a page and repetition, but words like skateboard and building seem a little to hard for this level. I suppose that you could get the words from the visual clue, but most kids will look for the visual clue and jump over the long word to keep on reading.

Okay, so I needed something to do at work one day, and someone reviewed a book called Spud, which sounded interesting. Then I realized all the books out there with "spud" in the title, and all of a sudden, I had something to do on a dull work day!
