A Flight of Dwarfs
For countless centuries, Elves have ruled the world with magic, mysticism, and arrogant superiority, doling out tiny bits of wonder to their blessed subjects. All races and creeds of the great First Realm felt lucky to be counted among their subjects.
Except one. One race, one country, one Freehold said "No, thank you."
And thanks to a little steam and a lot of brass, the Dwarfs don't ever plan on returning to the fold.
They have technology, built of sweat and wood and iron and leather and glass. They have industry. They have vision. And they have a spy, deep inside the Elven Fiefdom, keeping a covered eye on their ancient enemy.
Until the day when the cover is pulled away, the spy goes to ground, and an airship full of willing dwarfs (and one very unwilling) casts off and sets sail for war...
