I made Victoria Waldorf my wife even though she was too young, too innocent and too kind for the likes of me.

I did it to protect her.

I never planned to fall in love.

But the truth that a former mob enforcer’s weakness is his young bride has brought enemies I never even knew I had to the surface.

They’re out for blood.

If they can’t have mine, they’ll take hers.

Over my dead body.

BOUND IN PROMISE is the second instalment in Josephine Jade’s contemporary, adult BOUND dark, erotic, Mafia romance duet focusing on former Mafia assassin turned college music professor Dante Moretti, and twenty-one year old, student Victoria Waldorf. BOUND IN PROMISE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events and cliff hanger of book one BOUND IN DEBT. If you have not read book one, there may be spoilers in my review.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Dante and Victoria) BOUND IN PROMISE follows in the wake of the abduction of Victoria Waldorf-Moretti. Dante is desperate to find his young wife, a woman who is now payment for a debt. Calling in help from an old friend, Dante is determined to end the lives of everyone who has targeted our story line heroine but Victoria struggles with her lack of freedom, placing herself and the man that she loves in the direct line of fire. The past refuses to let go, and Victoria’s future plans to walk when everything is done.

The world building continues to focus of payment for a debt, a debt owed by someone else but our couple have become fodder for a man more powerful than most. Victoria’s need to run threatens everything Dante has put into place, and in doing so, their lives are at risk, every step on the way.

The relationship continues to be acrimonious. Dante married Victoria to keep her safe, and Victoria known their time together comes with an expiry date. Refusing to fall in love, Dante finds himself losing his heart to a woman meant for someone else. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

Once again, we are reintroduced to Dante’s sister in law Marissa, and his nephew Liam, as well as Victoria’s best friend Ellie, Dante’s ‘fixer and friend Enzo, and Mafia boss Angelo Lombardi.

BOUND IN PROMISE is another story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies, obsession and madness, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dark and gritty; the romance is challenging and seductive; the characters are determined and dynamic.

Bound in Promise ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶

WHAT A FREAKING RIDE!!!!! This book literally didn’t stop from the first page and I’m a fan of Dark Romance and Mafia stories but even this one had me gripping the iPad and biting my nails. This book is the second part of the duet and what a wild rollercoaster it was. Dante will do anything he has to in order to keep Victoria safe even if that means doing things she’s not ok with. Victoria is so much stronger and fiercer than anyone in her life gives her credit for. The debt that Dante’s brother left their family with is getting close to the payment date but will Lombardi be a man of his word? Will Dante get to Victoria in time to prevent Liam from making any mistakes? Victoria is truly terrified of what her future holds and what will happen once the debt has been paid, will Dante walk away as easily as he claims? Will Dante ever admit his true feelings for Victoria? Lombardi is a true villain that will terrify anyone who runs across his path and should be truly terrified of Dante and how truly dangerous he is. Can Dante let go of the past and truly see the vision and dream Victoria has for her life? I was literally on the brink of tears during parts of this book, then screaming at Dante for being a dummy!! But holy smokes the SPICE in the book is soooooooo FREAKING HOTTTTT, every woman needs a Dante!! Josephine Jade is truly an artist and I can’t wait to dive into more of her mafia romances and I believe she has one that involves BDSM and I’m here for it!!!! This book was such an amazing read that I can’t wait to add it physically to my shelves.

I really enjoyed this one! It picks up right where the last one left off. Victoria and Dante are trying to continue to buy time in order to pay off Angelo and Liam continues to be a problem. He is obsessed with Victoria since he wants her money and his ego can't stand that she married Dante instead of him. He continues to unravel and it is not good. Dante is trying to keep Victoria safe but people continue to come after her. Dante and Victoria are also continuing to fall deeper in their feelings though Dante is trying to keep that wall up between them. This story has twists and turns and definitely edges on the darker side. I enjoyed watching Dante and Victoria continue to build their relationship and loved Dante's possession and obsession with her. It works because it works for Victoria. This story was well written and entertaining and hot. There are definite things that could be triggers, there is a full list on Josephine Jade's site for this book. The story had a good pace with things happening but not moving to fast or faster than the plot set up. I loved getting the after part in this story as well to actually see things working out. Would love more in this world with them.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

A grumpy older ex mafia man who has cut ties to that world and moves to the U.S. to be with his brother and to teach at the University, gets drawn into debt after his brother dies and get tangled up with a student. Dante left his old life and now he is back into it, no thanks to his nephew Liam and his on and off girlfriend, Victoria. Little does she know that Liam has put her into a situation after announcing their engagement, an engagement she wants no part of and has actually broken off things for good with Liam. She also doesn’t know that now that the fake announcement is out, her life is in danger and not just from the mob and Dante steps in to help her out.
Soooo good, the build up between Dante and Victoria, the tension and sparks.whoweee. Secrets, twists and turns, steam, danger, older man/younger woman, and the flow of the story kept me turning the pages and the ending had me reaching for the second book to see how it all turns out.

When I started reading this book in this series, I didn’t think it was possible for it to be better than the first book. This story highlights the newly married couple of Victoria and Dante and their completely dissimilar personalities. The author spends a lot of time emphasizing these major differences between, the attitude of Dante, the“black knight and Victoria, the smart naïve, tenderhearted, unsophisticated innocent.

I was sure there was no way the couple would ever come together or agree on anything. However, this couple’s feelings somehow and unexpectedly grow closer and more in sync as they work together to save Victoria from Liam’s selfish scheme. I love watching them slowly compromise and fall in love with each other.

This page-turner is filled with non-stop action, riveting suspense and evil mafia members who only care about themselves.

This is an interesting and exciting love story between two strong, independent main characters who will never give up no matter who is after them!

I was pulled right into this story. This is a 2-part story so be prepared to get both parts. The story has pain, secrets, danger, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Bound in Debt: A Dark Forced-Marriage Mafia Romance (Bound Series Book 1)

This is Victoria and Dante’s story. When trying to get out of the mafia life he takes a job as a professor teaching violin. His student Victoria is not what he was expecting at all. When she needs help he steps up. But his is not all that happy about it. The drama that surrounds them quickly gets out of control. This book ends on a cliffy but that is to be expected.

This is more of Victoria and Dante’s story. He took her as his wife and is determined to protect her. She was an innocent in all of this. He knows they will come for him no matter what and he is prepared to deal with that. But in the end are they out for him or her?

I recommend this book.

This book is not a stand alone, you need to have read the first book, Bound in Debt as it ends in a cliff hanger.
This book is the conclusion of events from Bound in Debt. With events rolling and perpetuated by Dante's nephew Liam, Dante and Victoria must navigate the demands of mob boss Angelo Lombardi. He always seems to be a step a head of them, no matter how hard Dante works to free them from the debt that his late brother created. I love Victoria's spice, she wants to pave her own way and I get that, but sometimes she'd be better off if she didn't fight Dante's plans. He's the one that used to be a member of an Italian mafia as well. Dante on the other hand is struggling to protect Victoria and make her Paris dreams a reality.
Loved the series, and the heat between the characters.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.

Book 2 doesn't just pick up where Book 1 left off, it completely raises the stakes! I couldn't put this book down. Dante's feelings for Victoria quickly grow. She is a breath of fresh air to him and without her he cannot breathe. His need to save her and be with her are all encompassing. While I found Victoria a bit too naïve and stubborn in book 1 (although I understood why considering her age), in book 2 we see her learning how to survive, partly because of her need to be with Dante and wanting them to be together. As our bad guy manipulates the situation they find themselves in, culminating in one hell of a showdown, I found myself both sitting on the edge of my seat and cheering for our couple and their need to be there for each other. Our HEA was welcome and so sweet. To see them come out so whole and filled with love was beyond satisfying. What a great duet!!

Dark, Very Steamy, Mafia Romance

This is the second book in a duet that must be read in order. It is action-packed and full of suspense. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, from beginning to end.

Victoria and Dante are married, and there are those who will kill to end that marriage. There are millions of dollars at stake, and the mafia wants a piece of that pie. Actually, they want the entire pie and the woman that comes with it. Things are about to get deadly. Who will remain standing in the end?

This is a dark and very steamy romance. Dante is not the jerk we met in the first book because he is in love. How long will it take for him to acknowledge that he is in love with his wife? How far will Victoria go to hold onto the man she loves? Can Dante and Victoria survive the danger dogging their footsteps? For the answers, you will want to read this story.

This second book in Josephine Jade's Bound duet picks up where the first book leaves off. It goes without saying that this one is not meant to be read as a standalone. This story does come with trigger warnings, and I'd advise checking them just in case.
I don't often read mafia romance, but this one caught my attention, and I'm glad it did because I've been hooked from the beginning. Josephine Jade has delivered some terrific characters. That includes the baddies. I may hate them, but I'm supposed to, and they are so well done. Dante and Victoria are easier to root for than I expected, and I love that we get to see some redeeming qualities in Dante.
I'll stop there before I spoil the story. What I can say is you don't want to miss this duet. It's so well done, and this is one romantic couple that I won't soon forget.

4 1/2 STARS!

Action packed drama! The stunning conclusion to Josephine Jade's Bound Series Duet does not disappoint! We are quickly thrust back into Victoria's plight as danger keeps coming for her no matter how much she tries to stay safe. The tension is high as drama continues to be around every corner. Dante and Victoria continue to overcome the odds as they try to get out of this interwoven mess they found themselves in through no fault of their own. I think there is a bit of angst left on the table that could have been built out a bit with some of the players that are underdeveloped, but overall I found this duet to be attention grabbing and highly satisfying. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys mafia romance and sexy as all get out connections!

Brilliant second book to the duet. Omg just so good. Drama filled with a really happy ending that makes your heart swoon.

Dante and Victoria fight off Angelo and her mother, and fight for the life that they deserve. It's an extremely tough battle, full of personal issues and outside battles.

So much danger and suspense that is brutal and raw. But they have each other and that amazing chemistry stays with them all the way through.

I was barracking for them from the start and it was a testament to this author at how enthralling this story was. I didn't want it to end, it was that good.

Extremely well done, a total package!! I highly recommend this duet.

Victoria Waldorf is Dante’s wife.
Dante Morretti is Victoria’s husband.

This is the second book in the series.
Victoria was kidnapped by her crazy ex boyfriend to force her to marry him
for her trust fund.
Dante finds her and rescues her, but another problem pops up, Angelo Lombardi
( the mob boss), he wnts his money so he auctions off Victoria and kept Dante
prisoner.
There is an escape plan , where Dante’s friend Enzo comes to their rescue and saves the day.

Can they be free and have a Happily Ever After?

This book has suspense, danger, intrigue, twists, turns and a chance at love.

Great Job Josephine Jade !!!!!!

This is book 2 of the series and you need to read book 1 to know what's going on. It starts off with Dante being a violin instructor at a college where he meets Victoria, whom it turns out is dating Dante's nephew. Dante ends up marrying Victoria to protect her and doesn't anticipate falling for her. Now he will stop at nothing to protect the woman he loves. Great ending to a great story. I generally do not like mafia stories, just my preference, but this was well-written and has a lot of action to it. Great read.

Book 2 and we start right where we were left off. Victoria and Dante are doing all the can to buy sometime before Angelo comes to collect his payment. Liam is causing problems left to right and he's really got on my nerves. Someone needs to slap the living lights out of him, for real.

I'm not a huge dark romance fan but this duet kept me intrigued and reading to see will out couple be able to conquer all the problems and their enemies to find HEA. They did but the road to it was not easy and with the epilog i couldn't be happier how everything turned out.

This is the second part of this duet. Dante and Victoria seem destined to be challenged. Not only by one another but with every move they make. Dante only wants to ensure that Victoria remains safe, she was unnecessarily dragged into his family's mess by his nephew. Victoria is not interested in playing the 'sheltered princess' so she is learning her limits and boundaries by teasing Dante's patience. Everything works out, maybe not with the intended result they hoped for but it makes for a great story. Enjoy!

This is the continuation to the first book, so made sure you read that one first.
It continues right where the first one left off with Victoria kidnapped by her ex Liam, and her husband Dante who has to find and rescue her. Dante and her were supposed to be temporary, a marriage to get her trust fund, so the mob could be paid off for his brother's debt. Along the way feelings develop and its really nice to see the where Victoria toughens up and Dante softens.
It was a great ending to the story, there's lots of darkness, drama, and love. Its definitely a series worth reading.

I love mafia romances and have read quite a few, and I feel like it’s one of those tropes that can get very cliché, very quickly. Bound in Debt and Bound in Promise weren’t cliché at all though, and I loved them both! The love story was a bit of a slow burn but when their feelings finally started changing from obligation to love (ok, with a pit stop in lust and obsession before actual love) all bets were off. I loved that this story had so many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I couldn’t put these books down and I can’t wait for more from Josephine Jade!

I loved this book and devoured it in a day. I couldn’t put it down. I loved that I felt the connection more between Dante and Victoria in this book. It’s the conclusion to Bound in Debt. Can he keep her safe? Will he end up leaving her once she’s safe? I love how fierce she is and won’t be let go. Loved staying on edge and that they finally get a happy ever after. I especially loved the epilogue. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

The book continues straight on from book 1 and doesn't disappoint.
Trouble still keeps finding them but can do what he promised he would do and keep Victoria safe.
So many twists and turns with plenty of drama and some suspense but also a love that is growing between them.
Can they both survive to get a better life, together or alone? Loved the ending.

Holy wow. The first book was dark, but this one goes even darker. Yet it’s all part and parcel of the story and felt absolutely necessary to what the author was trying to tell. I loved seeing Victoria toughen up and Dante go a little soft for ‘his wife. The pair of them were fire together, and I kind of adored watching how ready they were to burn the world to the ground for one another.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

This picks up right where book 1 left off. Victoria is kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend Liam. Dante is beside himself. He wants answers from his brothers wife. She finally gives in.
I got mixed feelings when i read these books. However I did like this book and ending better. Dante was rough around the edges, but all in all he came through for Victoria his wife.

Dante and Victoria's story concludes in this enticing read that pulled me right back in and had me on the edge of my seat. The combination of drama, twists, action, danger, heat and emotion is potent and consuming, and I honestly was hanging on every single word and couldn't turn those pages fast enough.

The 2nd part of this story did not disappoint. This book picked up straight after book 1 and was just as enjoyable as the 1st story

Dante and Victoria’s chemistry continued to grow and I loved the relationship that was building between the pair.

A good blend of suspense and heat, which made this book a joy to read. Overall an entertaining read and a book I would recommend.

I'm voluntarily leaving a review after receiving a free copy. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Victoria is more complex and stronger than she appears. Dante will do anything to protect her and to give her what she wants. There is a lot of action and violence as they work to safety but it is worth it in the end. Victoria gets wants she with love and a life with her husband.

ARC review. Bound in Promise is the second book and conclusion of Dante and Victoria’s story in Josie Jade’s Bound Duet. It is really dark, action packed and full of unexpected twists and emotions (some were mine!) I wasn’t sure of how I felt about DARK but by the end I was all in. I loved the outcome of Dante and Victoria’s wild journey to survive and find love.

This is the second book of the duet so make sure you read Bound in Debt first! Dante and Victoria's story picks right up from book one and this one is just as dark as the first one. The path their story takes is quite the journey but it will keep you intrigued and reading well into the night. I loved their relationship and the ending does not disappoint. Another hit Josie!!

First of: remember, this is a duet book. The second one after a cliffhanger. To understand what is going on, please read the other one first.

And now: what a journey do these people have to travel. The different emotions while trying to stay alive and well. Dante and Victoria have a rough road ahead of them. Will the survive? Together? Alone? Ask yourself, what would you do.
