When you’re ready, come find me. I will keep you safe. -Hana

Descended from a Japanese dragon god, Yang Mina was born with the power to travel through time, and has spent her life training to take her place in the Descendants, a secret organization whose purpose is to protect the timeline. Then Mina’s world is uprooted when she moves to Seoul and finds a note from her sister–a sister who no one remembers, as if she had been erased. The only people who could have made her sister vanish so completely are part of the very agency that she’s been working so hard to join. So now Mina has a new mission, infiltrate the agency as quickly as possible to find her lost sister.

And, as if things weren’t complicated enough, a strikingly handsome rogue agent has determined that Mina is the only person who can help him put an end to the Descendants' corruption. Placed in an impossible situation, Mina must decide how much she’s willing to risk to find the truth.

My opinion: cute and funny love story with time travel! The time travel parts made my mind twist itself into a knot, but it was really cool to see how everything played out, I especially loved the writing about the butterfly effect. Unlike in most books I’ve read, I was really not expecting the plot twists. The story started out a little slow but sped up really quickly (I was physically unable to put it down it the last two-thirds). There were a lot of pop culture references (and it was mentioned that the year was 2025), I did enjoy hearing about Korean and Japanese brands though. Something I didn’t like was how long the chapters were, it took me 20-30 minutes to read each one!

genre: romance, sci-fi, fantasy
pov: first person, past tense
trope: bad boy, love triangle

Age rating: 13+
Violence: people fall off of carnival ride and die, blood is splattered across character’s face, characters carry guns, people turn other people to dust by breaking their jaws and forcing their life sources down their throats, a gun is pointed at characters, a character is shot, a lot of talk of people dying
Romance: hugging, a lot of hand-holding, a few non-descriptive kisses
Drinking/drugs/smoking: characters (of age) drink shots of soju ( a type of Korean liquor), main character (of age) drinks a shot of bourbon for a headache
Language: 2 f***, 3 sh!t, 6 h3ll, 2 d@mn, 1 a$$h0le, 1 oh my god (g is lowercase)

Trigger warnings:
- none that I remember

Publish date: 18-November-2025

This was an absolutely adorable read! I’ll Find You Where the Timeline Ends reminded me of a lighthearted, cute, YA version of the Loki TV show. Mina, our main character, is on an assignment undercover at a high school while also working side missions and trying to pass calculus. She starts questioning the Descendants' mission to “protect the timeline and meets Yejun, a rogue Descendant agent, and our adventure begins!

Mina and Yejun are extremely likable main characters and the way their friendship/relationship develops was adorable to watch unfold. The time travel aspect was not confusing (as many time travel stories can be) and the whole story came together nicely in the end.

One of the best books I’ve read with both the time-traveling theme and the cozy, romance fantasy genre. So well written and action packed at the same time, definitely a page turner and absolutely an author to watch. It is usually difficult for me to find books I like in the YA/romantic fantasy genre but after reading the author’s acknowledgment and realizing that this is her most lighthearted novel yet and she typically writes traumatic stories, it makes sense why I enjoyed this one - it has the same emotional depth as a heavier story.

Mina is a time-traveling descendant of dragons, who goes on small missions to fix aberrations in the timeline, usually caused by rogue descendants. When rogue descendants are caught, they are neutralized or erased from the timelines completely. More senior descendants can travel farther in time and evoke more far-reaching and potentially world-ending changes, which is why descendants follow a protocol to fix and stabilize the timeline, even if their missions may result in the harm or deaths of humans. When Mina finds a significant part of her life missing, it leads her on a quest to uncover if the world is on a true timeline and if the descendants mantra to follow their assignments is justified, no matter the cost.

I really enjoyed the cultural elements of this story, as it explains that most descendants need to be polyglot in order to be able to fix timelines in other places. Mina herself is a half-white, half Japanese person living in Korea, and there’s a lot of Japan/Korean influence in the story, including drawing in important historical events like the sinking of the Sewol ferry, an incident that caused collective trauma in Korea.

The lore, world-building, and characterizations are A+. The time-traveling mechanics and society of descendants who can cause worldwide impact is reminiscent of the MCU version of Loki, but it is much better written and better represented here. The cover for this is also gorgeous.

Special thanks to Macmillan Children's Publishing Group, Feiwel & Friends, and NetGalley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest, independent review.

Let me start by saying, this book had me hooked from the first page. I got approved for this ARC, downloaded it and meant to just look at the amount of hours my kindle said it would take to read so I could plot out when to read it. But then I read that first paragraph and just kept reading. All my other arcs just got pushed aside as I devoured this novel. Every moment of it was a journey that I loved.

Time travel is my jam and butter. I live for it, and the way this author writes this, paying extra close attention to the details is simply superb. She explains the unlinearness of timeliness, and the butterfly effect so well, as well as how time travel in her world works and why. I liked seeing how everything came together on the end. I kept questions why some echoes would do things, thinking, really what's the point of that, but when it finally came together, everything just fit perfectly in place.

I loved the mfc, who was so flawed from the beginning that I couldn't help but both root for as well as connect with her nervousness. And that little voice in the back of her head thst kept telling her she wasn't good enough. I think we all feel that way sometimes. And seeing her feel that way, to only grow into herself was just amazing to watch, especially at the end, I won't give spoilers, but that line about how Noone saved her, she saved herself, that was empowering.

The romance was so cute. Very mild and appropriate for a younger auidence.

This is my first book from this author but I liked it so much I plan on looking up her other books so I can read them. It was well written and had me invested from page 1.

Meet Me Where the Timeline Ends by Kylie Lee Baker

The book follows Yang Mina, born with the rare ability to travel through time. She’s spent her life training to join the Descendants—a secret organization tasked with protecting the timeline. But when she moves to Seoul, everything changes. She finds a mysterious note from her sister a sister no one else remembers, as if she’s been erased completely. The only ones capable of that kind of erasure? The Descendants themselves.

Mina’s mission changes: infiltrate the agency and find her sister. To make things messier, a strikingly handsome rogue agent believes Mina is the key to exposing the Descendants corruption. Now, she’s stuck between loyalty and truth, trying to figure out how far she’ll go for answers.

I really loved all the timeline scenarios and how even the smallest ripple could have big consequences. The explanations were so fun and easy to follow, even for a time-travel nerd like me.

This was a very cute YA read and one I’ll easily recommend to others! Tons of fantasy elements, cute banter, and a really interesting magic system woven with mythology.

There was a lot of great foreshadowing, and I loved seeing the future echoes of Mina appear and make sense later on. I do wish we got even more timeline-jumping and echo moments—it felt like there was room to push the drama and emotional impact further. Also: I’m craving a Yejun POV! I need to know what was happening behind the scenes!

*Thank you to the publisher for the ARC!*

This is the second book I’ve read by K.L. B., and I absolutely loved The Scarlet Alchemist duology! The premise of this story intrigued me, and after the first few chapters, I was definitely hooked.

Time-travel stories can be tricky to write—it’s easy to confuse readers or lose track of the main plot—but I think the author did a great job with the world-building and crafted a compelling, engaging narrative without any confusion. The plot twists were well executed and didn’t feel forced or over-the-top.

That said, the first few chapters felt a bit dragged out, and I didn’t really connect with Mina at the beginning. Once Yejun appeared, the story picked up and became much more interesting. Mina wasn’t the most captivating protagonist for me—she seemed to rely heavily on the supporting characters to move the plot along (though maybe I’m comparing her to Zilan a little too much, lol). I also wasn’t a fan of the miscommunication trope that popped up between her and Yejun mid-story. I know it’s a YA novel, and I'm not the main target audience (since I'm in my mid 20s), so I think I'm just being harsh 😅

Some chapters also felt a bit too long and could have been split for better pacing.

Overall, this was a cute YA novel with strong K-drama vibes, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a light, romantic, time-bending adventure!

Mina is a Descendant. Her ancestor gave time magic to her family and now Mina has the ability to travel through time correcting the timeline and making sure Rogue Descendants don’t end the world. When the cute boy in her class Yejun approaches her to restore the timeline she sees the chance to perhaps facilitate the return of her sister—whom only she can remember. Along the way they discover there’s more to the timeline and the Descendants than they could have ever imagined.

As cool as I found the premise of the book to be, unfortunately Mina came off as a lackluster protagonist for the majority of it. It seemed like Hyebin and Yejun did all the work while she accompanied them. She didn’t really step up until about 80% of the book was through.

I think the time travel aspect was well done—despite the confusing loops and paradoxes that Mina and Yejun created. The romance was really cute as well (in fact it seemed to be the main plot of the book), especially since Yejun was the one who fell first (unusual in most YA books).

The ending was a bit underwhelming as well. I had hoped that Mina would at least get to meet with her sister at least once more.

Overall an okay read but probably not something I would reccomend to others.

This was such a fun and fantastical read! The time traveling at the beginning may feel confusing and pointless (Mina meets several echoes throughout the first half of the book for seemingly no rhyme or reason). However, as you read it all neatly seals the loops into a complete circle that is so satisfying!

Mina feels like such a refreshing glass of water in a seemingly endless sea of same-faced YA main characters. She’s a bit of liar, has a weepy heart, all while being very determined in everything she does. Her relationships with both Yejun and Jihoon both end so well it never felt like I was being robbed of the opportunity of her getting with the wrong guy.

I’ll Find You Where the Timeline Ends by Kylie Lee Baker is one of those books that completely pulls you in and doesn’t let go. It felt like I was living in the story—not just reading it. The emotions, the atmosphere, the way everything unfolded—it all felt so real and immersive.

What I loved most was how the story kept twisting in unexpected ways. Every time I thought I understood what was happening, something would shift, and it made the whole thing feel alive. It wasn’t just about surprise—it was about depth. The characters and the choices they made stuck with me.

I’d definitely recommend this one to anyone who wants a story that stays with you—not just for the plot, but for how deeply human it feels.

First, I want to thank NetGalley and Macmillan Children's Publishing Group for this eArc! This is my own honest opinion.

I have to start by mentioning that I fell in love with this cover. I have been into reading more books from authors from different cultures since they expose us to their culture which I enjoy. Time Travel and Romance? My favorite! I loved the main characters FMC (Mina) and MMC (Yejun). The FMC was so relatable especially since this is a YA book, so many teenagers will probably relate to her. The friendship to lovers development was so cute and also clean! Usually fantasy books are a little harder for me to get through due to the worldbuilding, so I really liked the fact this was a quick light read. I would definitely recommend this to young readers.

What in the colonizer nonsense is this? First of all, the author is not Korean. She is of Japanese and Chinese descent, from countries that historically colonized Korea. Second of all, why are the Korean main characters possessed with Japanese (who, again, colonized Korea until 1945) dragons in a story set in South Korea? As a Korean, I am very much upset by the very premise of this story and know other Koreans who are bothered by this as well. It seems like a ploy by an American publisher to take advantage of the recent Korean culture boom without taking into account the ramifications of this kind of story...
