Great dialog can make all the difference between an average story and a great one! This little book is chock-full of step-by-step instructions, ideas and illustrations, all you need to kick your story up into the best-seller ranks.
Dorothy May Mercer is a retired musician, busier than ever as president of two companies, writer and entrepreneur. She has published five books in seven months and is having a ball doing it! She and her husband have two lakefront homes in Michigan where they ski in winter and boat in summer. Hobbies are traveling, reading and playing the piano. The McBride series books are good old-fashioned detective cop stories with new technology and great looking girls thrown in.
Does it seem silly when an author reviews her own book? If not silly, certainly suspect, right? Well, in this case, I am going to say I am proud of this book. I wrote it for all my author friends, but especially for those who need help with dialog. You know who you are. I do a lot of reviewing, editing and proof-reading for my author friends. During the natural course of events, I came to realize that many "newbie" authors and some not-so-new could use help in the dialog department. Soon, I found myself writing long emails, explaining the ins and outs of writing dialog. At some point I had to save myself some time by putting it all in a booklet. Highly recommended.
