If opposites attract--and in this case, they do--then Casey and Nate fit like puzzle pieces. Though married for a year and still rocking the honeymoon lifestyle, Casey’s starting to feel like it’s time for the next big challenge.

Casey’s never been interested in having kids, but knows Nate would love a family of their own and would be a fantastic father. He thinks he’s ready to put aside past prejudices, but he knows it’s not the kind of decision you make on a whim. Nate only wants to have a family with Casey if Casey wants it just as much. Neither would accept anything less.

The annual Rule family reunion is the perfect time and place for Casey to take his hopes for a test drive and inform his choice. He’ll have plenty of chances to practice--with Nate’s menage-a-parents and seven sisters, there’s a smorgasbord of family to observe and a half-dozen babies to test his limits.

(And a few games to play. This is Nate, after all!)

Is Casey ready to grant Nate his wish to become a dad and wind up the pitch for a proper “home run?

Willa Okati (AKA Will, AKA Daniel) is made of many things: imagination, coffee, stray cat hairs, daydreams, more coffee, kitchen experimentation, a passion for winter weather, a little more coffee, a whole lot of flowering plants and a lifelong love of storytelling. Will's definitely one of the quiet ones you have to watch out for, though he -- not she anymore -- is a lot less quiet these days.

This book left off where Mighty Casey ended. Hot sexy and great secondary Characters abound.

Casey and Nate are getting ready to go to Nate's family reunion when Casey pull up to Nate's school. He gets met by Kenneth and told that Nate is running the practice for the kindergartner's peewee soccer team. This being Nate and Casey they have to pull over once for a sex break before they get to Nate's family home in the Appalachian mountains.

Nate's parent are a threesome his Mother, Zadie and his dad's Smokey Joe and Rudy. Then their is Nate's Seven Sisters and the husbands and kids plus the grandson's, of Smokey Joe's, fiance Eamon. more than a full house. Speaking of that the house is almost a character in itself as it has had many additions added to it and it is a running joke that if a new comer ask for direction's to the nearest bathroom that you can't get there from here.

It is decided that Nate and Casey in honor of the marriage will be the Lords of misrule for this gathering. So they get to determine what games are played Nate take's charge of Outdoor activites and Casey indoor activities. While at the reunion Casey is deciding wheter he is ready to have children with Nate. Nate who can read him like a book know and tells him that he shouldn't decide by what he thinks Nate would want but only if he was ready. It turns out that Casey is a child whisperer able to settle the most cantankerous and cranky children in just a few minutes.

Eamon a secondary character is at the Family reunion for the first time, because Zeke his fiancé is on a commercial fishing boat and unable to attend so Eamon is going for him. Eamon is shy and sweet and he and Zeke have been together since high school but only became engaged after they finished college. Nate as a surprise for Eamon goes to pick up Zeke from the airport, when Zeke was able to make a surprise trip home for the reunion. And to mask why he went, Mimi, Roger, and Kenneth are brought to the homestead first. let just say that the scene when Zeke arrives during the firework display and Help Eamon to light his firework then the reunion of them is touching and I would love to read their story.

The ending with Casey and Nate at a softball tournament when they find out that their surrogate had their baby is appropriate and ends the story nicely. I would love to read more about this couple and the adventure of parenthood in their relationship.

The first book in this series, 'Might Casey', is a feel-good read of mine, so it was certainly no hardship to read 'Home Run', the sequel. Not at all. It was an absolute joy. Being able to touch base with Nate and Casey, now that they're married, and watch them enjoy a riotous family weekend with Nate's enormous family, was just the right mix of hot, sweet, gentle, and loving that I needed.

Coming from a large family myself, I could picture the Rule family reunion weekend clearly in my mind. Children running all over the place, siblings teasing each other, lots of food, warmth, happiness, and love, a lot of love. Nate is ecstatic because his mom has repealed her ban on no sports this year. Well, no baseball, unless someone wants to pay for the broken windows. That's okay, though, in Nate's mind that still leaves football and basketball for him to get crazy over. And crazy he does, as his dad has made an entire football field behind the house. Casey does what he loves, cooking for this clan, and, amazingly, enjoying some of the babies and toddlers.

The last event of the weekend is the gift giving. Now Casey has a pretty awesome gift for Nate, baseball related, of course. But, there's something else that Casey is almost positive about, and he doesn't want to wait any longer to tell Nate. Nate has a secret gift for Casey, too, and these guys are so in tune with each other it just makes me sigh. And Casey and Nate can't help but play a little Santa when one of the family members can't make it, but he sends his fiancée, instead. Sixty plus loud and boisterous people is quite a lot for family. For one who isn't even in the family, yet? Yikes.

Oh, I adored this book. Just as wonderful as the first installment, and filled with so many feel-goods my heart was overflowing. Nate and Casey are just as incredible as always, and their close friends are still a hoot. The family is fantastic and reminded me of many reunions in my own clan. Thank you, Willa!

As Nate would say, Home Run was absolutely "adorkable." Having gotten more familiar with their characters and yes, both Nate and Casey are a little dorky at times I didn't experience the confusion I did in the first book. Considering that this is the first family reunion since their wedding and all seven sisters, their spouses, and their children were there, that's pretty impressive.

I enjoyed that the "conflict" of the story was whether or not Casey would change his mind about not wanting kids by the end of the reunion. Because Nate loves Casey, he's accepted that Casey doesn't want children and is happy with their life as they live it. But seeing Nate interact with a couple of children at the school where he teaches, he begins second-guessing his feelings on children as he knows Nate week be a wonderful father; this doubt is furthered when he sees Nate with his nieces and nephews. Yet Casey isn't as sure of himself and whether or not he's ready for fatherhood. Fortunately the Rule Family Reunion runs amok of children and Casey finds himself warming up to the idea more and more, going so far as to ask one of Nate’s dads (oh yes there are two AND a mother such a lovely polyamorous parental unit, or should I say crazy) how he knew he was ready to be a father.

The Rule family is a big batch of craziness that kept this book entertaining at the most unexpected of moments. And while they all rally around the new addition, Eamon, who is attending in his fiancé Zeke’s place (Zeke being the actual Rule family member), it is the Epilogue that demonstrates exactly how close and supportive the Rule Family is when it comes to loving and caring for their own. I was in awe of Madeleine. Ms. Okati most certainly hit a Home Run with this one. I do so hope the author decides to write more of this series as I would love to read more about Nate, Casey and the rest of the crazies they surround themselves with.

Even though I liked the story very much, the prose was somewhat difficult for me to read, and I am not fond of four sex scenes in a 111 pages novella.

The story continue about one year after the first book. Now Casey and Nate were on their ways to the Rule clan's big reunion. Nate's parents were quite front and center this time, However, despite boasting seven older sisters and their husbands and various children, we only gets to hear the names of only two of them. One of those two play a crucial role at the end of the book but hope we should at least get all their names.

Here we learn a lot about Nate's background and imagine what his childhood must be like in quite a unique family such as this.

There is a subplot of the new *in-laws*, Eamon, who was send to the reunion alone without his partner Zeke. It was an interesting addition to the story. I suppose it meant to be a parallel scene for us to see how Casey was among the Rule family in the beginning?

However, I had two issues with this book.

One, the prose was somewhat difficult for me to read. Somehow, I had to carefully read each words to understand the paragraph. I know it sounds weird but it wasn't as quick a read as I thought it would be for a 100ish pages book. I felt that the prose, choice of wordings and the style of it all detract my focus from the story. Which I thought it would be a light comfy read.

Two, Four sex scenes, Four separate sex scenes. At least this time they did not all happened on the same day. It felt unnecessary. Two at most should be plenty and others could be done off page or in passing. I felt that the pages could be use for more things, like the other sisters, how their marriage life differ from before the wedding and stuffs. Instead we get four sex scenes that did not drive the plot nor add new things to the story.

Regardless, I enjoy visiting Nate's family very much. Perhaps there will be another book and this time we will visit Casey's family?

I’m always quick to say how I’m not a fan of stories featuring established couples, but earlier this year I read on a whim and it ended up being a lot of crazy fun. So when I saw the sequel, Home Run, was coming out, I immediately added it to my TBR list. BUT…since it is an established couple book, I let it sit there unread for a few months. Silly me!

Home Run picks up Casey and Nate’s story about a year after Mighty Casey. They’ve been living the happy married life but both men realize something might be missing. Now it’s that time of year for Nate’s big family reunion and he’s not looking forward to seeing all the happy little families his sisters have created. But Casey just might have the perfect surprise for Nate’s reunion gift.

Okay, I admit, this story was just as adorable as the first one. There is no angst between Casey and Nate’s relationship, just sweet, sexy fun.
He pressed a kiss to the underside of Nate’s jaw. “Thank you.
Nate cocked his head, curious. “For what?
“If I had time, love, I’d make a list. Casey looked up at Nate, watching the lights in his eyes as he’d watched the stars in the sky. “But mostly just for being you.

The first book featured a day at the ball field, this story takes us to Nate’s family home where we find out that he had a very interesting childhood. Of course the whole story was equally outrageous, but it kept a smile on my face through the entire book. Nate’s family was HILARIOUS, along with his mom and two dads. And Swayze was a bit of a creeper.

I found myself VERY interested in Eamon…a prospective in-law. I would LOVE to read his and Zeke’s story…if it ever existed.

In the end, this a wonderful followup to Nate and Casey’s HEA…and the beautiful ending left me a little teary eyed.

Nate and Casey have been married for a year and life is going along great. Nate has hinted he’d like kids, he’s one of 7 himself, but Casey isn’t so sure.

The two go to a family reunion of Nate’s family and it is there that Casey’s decision is cemented. Nate’s family is wonderful, 6 girls, all married, most with several kids, and even a new addition from another side of the family shows up to add more fun to the mix.

As with Mighty Casey, the two have lots of hot sex and are very touchy feely the entire book. For me, a lover of sap, it was heavenly.

I just loved Nate’s family, his two dads, and a mom, the sisters, the kids, the chaos I liked seeing the changes a year of marriage had brought to the couple and enjoyed seeing Nate’s teacher friends again.

There is a brief epilogue, too, another of my favorite things, that will leave you smiling.

Overall, this was an excellent sequel to a great book and I highly recommend it.

I give it 5 of 5 hearts.

Casey and Nate are back and it's reunion time with the Rule family. Nate comes from a unique family structure in that he has two dads but what a loving environment to grow up in. He also has 7 sisters and is the only boy so you can imagine what that was like growing up.

They have come to that time in their relationship where the question to have children or not is being asked and while Nate would love to have a big family Casey isn't sure. What better time to test out your parenting skills than a family reunion with lots of little ones running around.

While the story was fun and entertaining there were a couple of things that seemed to happen for no reason and left me a bit perplexed and gave the story a disjointed feel.

Casey and Nate are an incredible couple that are perfectly matched, soul mates definitely. Nates family was awesome with so many great secondary characters that the story was really good from start to finish. I totally wish I was invited to that reunion, it sounds incredible and never boring. Sorry to see the story over so soon.

It's a year later and time for the Rule family reunion. We find out a bit more about Nate's 3 parents and see how welcoming the family is.
An enjoyable read.
