The YOU in ME, Forever... by Prabha Karan is a book focused on personal health, inspiration, and personal growth in regard to one’s self and one’s relationships. People have many different relationships over the course of their lives including with family, friends, partners, and more. However, these relationships can prove capricious with how they can be deeply connected or magical only to turn bad later leading to painful struggles. Prabha Karan teaches a deeper understanding of these relationship in order to help one improve these bonds with the intent of increasing one’s own happiness and sense of fulfillment in one’s own life. Have you ever pondered if your sense of fulfillment comes from internal or external sources? Are you ready to look inward to understand yourself?
Opinion: The YOU in ME, Forever... by Prabha Karan is a mixing pot of spiritual, psychological, and philosophical aspects which are blended together to offer a unique insight into the connections that makes us who we are. I found this blend to be quite interesting as it is rare to have an author blend such aspects together instead of arguing for one being more important or better than the other. I particularly liked the way the author would define concepts before exploring them fully. For example, when describing the Intellect, the author first defined it and then went on to define similar yet different concepts like the mind and intelligence to offer an understanding of how they differ from each other. I found this matter-of-fact style to be beneficial to my ability to understand the concepts without feeling overwhelmed. The way the author’s writing style kept a balance between different aspects while offering a logical view of the topic helped me to gain a new understanding of what self-discovery truly is, even though I do not have a background in psychology or philosophy.
Second review: The YOU in ME, Forever by Prabha Karan discusses human connection, self-awareness, and the power of intellect. This book encourages one to rethink the way we view relationships, not just romantic ones, but also friendships, family bonds, and even the connection with oneself. This book also focuses on the intellect, how it works, and how it can lead to deeper relationships and personal fulfillment. The author breaks down complex ideas, explaining the mind (which reacts emotionally) and the intellect (which reasons and decides logically). Through this, the book teaches readers how to gain control over their thoughts, emotions, and desires.
Opinion: One of the strongest aspects of The YOU in ME, Forever is how it blends philosophy, psychology, and spirituality while staying practical. The book explores why we set goals, how desires shape our happiness, and how consciousness connects all human beings. What I loved was that deep and meaningful concepts are presented in a clear, engaging way. A unique mix of science, philosophy, and self-help, it’s a guide to self-discovery. What could be better? Some sections are heavy with theory and may require rereading, especially the Buddhist words and their meaning, which although were explained in the book, required rereading for someone like me who's unfamiliar with these words. The discussion on Karma, past and future lives, may not appeal to everyone, especially people of a different faith.
The Mind and the Intellect: an eloquent journey of discovery and understanding
This extraordinary book invites an exploration of self and offers an eloquent discovery of our place in Infinity and in the Universe. Author Prabha Karan offers an understanding of the concepts of Vedanta philosophy in a manner that opens windows of enlightenment that provide an enriching reading and living! experience. While the philosophic aspects of the book are excellent, the aspects of exploring the Mind and the Intellect invites insight into ourselves and our relationships to others. ‘Gaining knowledge dispels ignorance…understanding the Infinite Consciousness eliminates ignorance of it
‘Your Intellect is the power within you that allows you to think, reason, and make decisions. Your Mind is a collection of unfulfilled desires, emotions. New desires constantly appear here, and it is up to the Intellect to fulfill them. The inner personality is the essence within us that uses thoughts to guide our lives. Each part of the inner personality has a different role, and interacts with thoughts in specific ways. Together, they form an intricate symphony that makes each of us who we are. He discusses how memory + ego + Mind + Intellect = inner personality and in doing so how to recognize the role of the Intellect and understand how to use it.
For understanding our place in Infinity and the treasured Vedanta philosophy this book explores and explains, and is rich in thoughts such as ‘by committing good deeds in one life, you can accumulate wealth for future lives, and ‘Gaining knowledge dispels ignorance…understanding the Infinite Consciousness eliminates ignorance of it. Very highly recommended!
What a wonderful book! It is also very descriptive, and it made me think a lot. I completely agree with the author that true fulfillment and happiness come from within. Before seeking happiness in external factors like achievements or possessions, we must first look inward. Doing some self-reflection and understanding our true essence is key to living a fulfilled life.
This book is deeply reflective and philosophical, with a strong focus on spirituality and consciousness. What I liked most is how the author encourages readers to constantly question themselves and their perception of reality. This practice of introspection leads to a powerful journey of self-exploration. It helps us reflect on our relationship with the world and highlights the importance of self-love and acceptance. The book ultimately reminds us that the answers we seek are already within us, waiting to be discovered.
This book is totally amazing for two main reasons: its priceless content and the way in which it was written. It invites people to reflect on their own lives, guides them to find happiness and exposes philosophical truths that will make the reader think from the first page. When we hear about consciousness, about connecting with our infinite potential, we tend to feel overwhelmed. I have to confess that when I saw what the book was about I thought I was not going to be able to connect totally with the ideas but it still made me curious and I got into reading it. I do not regret having done so as this book is a treasure. One of the strengths of this title is its clear and concise writing. Prabha Karan presents complex concepts in an easily understandable manner; so everyone can follow it and start building an invincible mind.
Many people are unhappy or dissatisfied in life. They tend to look for outward solutions rather than inner ones. However, this book posits that many of the answers to becoming more content in life can be found not from without, but from within.
In these pages, you will learn how the infinite consciousness to which we are all connected can be tapped into and harnessed. Thie isn’t a trite self-help book, though. Rather, it is a guide to understanding how you can look past the boundaries of what is visible and immediately tangible through Yogic practices and beliefs. If you are seeking a way to not only center yourself but to unlock a vast and cosmic understanding, then reading this book can set you on that path.
From the first pages of The YOU in ME, Forever, by Prabha Karan, I was able to connect with the information, and the best thing is that it did not seem like a common personal development book, but rather a profound discovery with my true being. The book reminded me of the Vedic wisdom that I studied a few years ago in a course, but that until now I had not managed to fully internalize. However, with this read, I finally made the click I needed to understand on a deeper level. Definitely, the most interesting things about the book are the tools that Karan teaches us based on Yoga and other ancient disciplines to transcend the limitations of the mind. I definitely recommend this reading to achieve a deeper connection with the Divine.
This book is simply sensational, I find the way in which the author develops the concept of the “inner self incredible. I love how he turns a topic that at first glance can be transcendental and perhaps difficult to understand into something so familiar and close. The author invites the reader to have conversations with himself, although difficult, all too important and healing. This book is the kind of book that every human being should read. For, as we become more aware of the inner self we can experience greater freedom and a greater awareness of our actions and therefore our future and our live. Highly recommended, great book!
I went into this book with a mix of curiosity and skepticism, but what I found was a deep and life-changing exploration of the human condition. What I loved most was how Karan shows us that true fulfillment is not found on the outside, but in the deep understanding of our own being. This made me realize that I need to focus more on my own personal growth and finding my purpose.
Overall, I think this book is an excellent guide for anyone looking to find more purpose and meaning in their life. I'm happy to have found such valuable material. I recommend that you give it a chance; you won't regret it!
Connecting with yourself and with other people is not always easy, but it doesn't be complicated. For that reason, author Prabha Karan wrote this compelling guide with information and practical methods for understanding how to connect intellect, mind, memory, and ego to create our reality and in that way create real connections with others. Reading ''The YOU in ME, Forever'' will take you on a personal journey of self-consciousness, where you can discover the power of the energies, your body, and mind. This is a great book to have a better understanding of you. It also can help you to find the happiness that you are looking for. I highly recommend it.
