Tommy has a ring on his finger and a killer in his bed. Only he gets to see the softer side of Mateo Oliveros. Despite who Mateo used to be—and still is—Tommy has never regretted his choice. No one else knows him and loves him like his husband does. And Tommy is happy

Even if there are things about Mateo that he refuses to share with his spouse. Nothing is easy, definitely not marriage to a man who’s been as broken as Tommy, but Mateo signed up for the long haul. He’ll make sure his T knows he’s loved, no matter how many bodies he has to drop, or how many secrets he has to keep. All those sacrifices will mean nothing, though, when Mateo’s sordid past and Tommy’s fragile future collide. In the wreckage of what used to be their love, they’ll have to decide: Who stays, and who walks away?

Warning: There will be blood. And knives and guns and…but it’s the Sinners, so nothing new there. Also includes heartbreak and heartbreaking sex. This is an Avril Ashton production. Proceed at your own risk.

Not My Sinner is a sequel to , the story of Mateo Oliveros and Tommy Jankowski.

Mateo and Tommy are married now, but their marriage is not as perfect as they want to believe. Something is missing and something is wrong.
“Ma, I’m happy. I have everything I could possibly need. Not everything, a tiny voice in his head whispered.

Mateo doesn’t give himself over to their marriage completely. He is holding back, and sadly not only one thing but more. He keeps secrets and hides his real self from Tommy. His reasons for that are understandable, and he is convinced that he does the right thing.
Tommy was his life. He’d do anything, whatever he had to in order to protect Tommy. That included making sure his two worlds didn’t ever collide.

Tommy feels that something is not right, but first he thinks it is only the sex. It is confirmed when they meet Mateo’s ex, Dima Zhirkov.
“You been hiding yourself from me, he said finally.
Mateo froze. “What?
“Your needs, you’ve been hiding them from me. I need you, Tommy whispered. He reached up and nipped Mateo’s chin. “All of you. You’re holding back.

But that’s not all. When he finds out what Mateo has been hiding from him, Tommy breaks down and leaves him.
“You don’t trust me. Tommy looked as if he’d been punched. “You don’t trust that I’m stronger than that scared, fucked-up kid you first met. You don’t trust that I can deal with the difficulties of being with you.
“That’s— That was the truth, wasn’t it? Teo was scared of what might happen if Tommy had to face the tough side of who he was.

But Mateo is wrong. Tommy is strong enough to deal with Mateo’s dark side. What breaks him is Mateo’s silence and lies. He is unable to deal with that. It is a serious issue, a severe marriage crisis, still, everyone makes mistakes. Tommy has every right to be mad, but not to throw a tantrum. Teo lied to him, yes. It’s maddening, yes. Is divorce the solution? No.

Neither Teo nor Tommy are good relationship material. They have to learn how to live in a relationship, in a marriage, and how to communicate with each other.

I loved them together. Not My Sinner is an amazing addition to Sinner’s Fall, and a great insight to Mateo and Tommy’s life.

There are many-many beautiful and heartbreaking moments in this story. The hate-attack scene was devastating, it broke my heart.

The erotic scenes are loaded with emotion, and insanely hot.

My only complaint is the make-up sex. Though I loved the is not really my thing. I can accept even appreciate it, but not when it is done by anger and hurt and revenge.

Well-written as always and angsty as much as I like! The only thing that I couldn’t understand was why Teo thought if he lies about that case, he can protect Tommy! I couldn’t understand his reasoning! The other thing was Tommy’s punishment was a bit too much, really over the top, but still I enjoyed it if it makes any sense! Told in dual POV, 3rd person. It’s a Brooklyn Sinners novella and can’t be read as a standalone, at least you have to read "Sinner’s Fall" first! Given that these characters were my least favorite in this series, I still liked it and hope you enjoy it as well!

I have found the missing link...
between Avril Ashton's series Brooklyn Sinners and her Run This Town series. It's the last story in the Brooklyn Sinners series and it's free from the author's site and it's called 'Not My Sinner'. I have no idea how I missed this one but I did and even though I've read all of the Brooklyn Sinners and everything that's out so far for 'Run This Town' I'm glad I finally found it and read it.

First off it's about Tommy and Mateo. And yes, it's high on drama and angst, but I don't care, I loved it. There are times in life when the angst and drama are suited to the occasion and for these two this was one of those times. Mateo's past and his future happiness with Tommy are on a collision course and needless to say when the past crashes head on into the present the results are explosive. Fixing it doesn't seem possible and for Mateo the alternative is unacceptable.

The events that begin to unfold as Mateo fights to fix things are the threads of the story that begins to play out in (Watch Me) Break You, book 1 of 'Run This Town' and I have to admit that as much as I enjoyed this story I would have loved reading it at the end of Brooklyn Sinners and before starting (Watch Me) Break You. So if you have read the Sinners series and haven't started Run This Town but plan to. I seriously encourage you to go to and get a copy of this to read (there are some other free reads for the Sinners series as well, if you haven't read them already).

Note: my biggest issue with this story as with previous ones is the lack of or at the very least the very poor editing that has or hasn't? been done. It really is Tommy and Teo not Timmy and Toe. Seriously? Toe?

Ok, so... this will probably confuse a lot of my friends. How can I give 5 star review to some BDSM book when I don't read anything in this genre. The only think I can remotely stand in BDSM books is bondage. But the rest? I never read scenes. I skip pages. I'm giving stars down. And first thing I ever write in my review is: THIS IS NOT MY CUP OF COFFEE.

Well, let's get back to Brooklyn Sinners. From the beginning with Angel and Gabe's story I was fascinated. The books were something else. Something new. And with every book and every short story, I was completely immerse in them. I was scared shitless of this cruel, mobster world. I love the possessiveness of their characters. I love how they would do anything for each other, including violence and murder. And what I love the most is the sacred connection between love interests and the friendship in Sinners world.

I accepted guns and fights, D/s with Kane and Syren, panties kink, and now Mateo and Tommy and flogging, Teo's giving pain kink, fisting and cutting as punishment. And all the time I couldn't put down this book. It really suited these characters. They are all three dimensional and i love them. With all their kinks, with the love they share with each other.

And the only thing I can say is - Mrs. Ashton is absolutely brilliant. I love these books. Despite everything I said about BDSM, i never skipped a page, never looked away and I always felt like the connection and love between the main characters is more important.

I read about another two books I want to definitely put my hands on. Xavier and Dima's story even though it will be with strong BDSM elements. I was intrigued by them.

And Dutch and Patel's story... because i waited 84 years for this book already. *evil smile*

Not my Sinners shouldn't have been separate. It should have been all ones story.

Where was the wedding because I don't remember it. Mateo and Tommy were married the same time Syren and Kane but in both stories I don't recall that. Did I read to fast and miss that, I just don't remember.

Another excellent entry in the Brooklyn Sinners series. Like many readers I share the sentiment that this should've simply been part 2 inside the first book, but since both stories are in Kindle Unlimited I won't complain. This wasn't just a add on to create unnecessary drama but a story that deepened and expanded on Sinner's Fall. There also an additional short story linked at the end. Again, I wish it was just included because like this we have a story in three parts. Nevertheless, great stuff.

Another re-read... I'm obsessed, I can not stop!
This one was.... INTENSE! .... wow... I feel like I begin all these with a .....sigh.... not this time.. I couldn't even begin to imagine this one... The tables turned and Mateo and Tommy hit a rough patch.. I mean a rougher than rough patch. Deciet with good intentions, lies without thinking of consequenses... I did NOT see this one coming. But I loved every second of it...
I could understand where they both were coming from, I understood why Teo wanted to keep the secret from Tommy, I don't agree with maybe how long it went on, but I get why he did it... things just snowball and he didn't know how to get it out there and risk losing what he had. He didn't wanna hurt Tommy.. I get it.
And Tommy... man, we sure saw a whole nother side to Tommy... he's a bit crazy lol, I'd say a bit on the psycho side and I loved every second of that too.. When he was making Teo hurt the way Teo hurt him? OMG...My whole body was sprung tight reading that. It was crazy... and crazy hot! lol does that make me weird? lol Like I've said in every review of this series...I'm obsessed with these guys and Teo and Tommy are my close second, I still don't think any of them could top Gabe and Angel though, I really wanna go back and re-read their story already but I'm torn cuz I reeeally wanna start Dima's story and start on that series... I feel like I need a break to collect myself but I don't think I'm gonna be able to do it lol
I've said it every review and it still holds true...I'm obsessed with these guys and their stories and their families... They're all a big family and it so makes me wish they were real and I knew them all haha
Another 5 stars from me and i'm way sad it's over :(
I'm recommending these ones to any and everybody who'll listen!

This one of those books that once you pick it up, you can't put it back down!
I love this thing!
There is no way to describe how i feel about this book, which contains a continuation of teo and tommy story from book 4 and boy is it something!
We get to see a totally different side of tommy (it gives me the shivers just thinking about it) and of course mateo (who i wanted to smack for being an idiot, oh but he made up! *giggles*)
In this we get a teaser of a new story... Am so looking forward to that...

Tommy and Teo

Oh, Teo, how you disappoint me. When you live your life shrouded in secrets, some of them are bound to come back to bite you. And Teo’s secrets have a huge bite. The one person he promised to never hurt, Tommy, is one the who bears the brunt of the bite and I felt so bad for him.

There is just something about these two that really grips me. I love their love. It’s possessive and consuming to the point of insanity. But that also means it can take a toxic nosedive when pushed to the breaking point. I didn’t love that Tommy felt the need to “punish Teo in the way he did. I don’t love that Teo felt the need to just take it. But in their own way, it worked for them. It exorcised all the pain and somehow gave them a new starting point.

This book was so angsty and dramatic, but I loved it. I’d read more and more with Tommy and Teo.

Pain Can Be Such Exquisite Pleasure

Mateo Oliveros: I love you, T. Do you know? Do you fucking know how much?

Tommy Jankowski: Yes.

Mateo Oliveros: I love you and you want me to hurt you. You want me to bring you pain.

Tommy Jankowski: Because it brings you pleasure. I want you, in all ways. I trust you with my heart, with my body. No one should see you the way you look now but me. You’re in your element and it belongs to me. It belongs to me, so yes, I'm sure. I trust you with my pleasure. Why wouldn’t I trust you with my pain?

Hmm... I'm not sure I like where this went. It was dark and tiny bit disturbing, at least it was for me. I still love Tommy and Mateo, especially Tommy, but I was hoping for something not so violent and dark. Happy they got their HEA just wish they got there in a different way.

TAGS
-- established couple -- ex gang members -- drama -- somewhat violent -- kind of dark -- angst filled -- secrets and lies -- a child -- forgiveness -- less than 100 pages -- not a stand-a-lone

So far, I deliberately haven't made any comments about the free reads included in this series. I'm making an exception in this case because it is definitely not for the faint of heart. Sex comes in all flavors except vanilla for Teo and Tommy. BDSM, fisting, cutting, penetration with the blunt end of a sharp object, and did I mention the blood? Oh yeah! If any of these things are a turn-on for you, then you will probably enjoy this free short story. I cringed my way through a few scenes, but I never stopped reading. And I was glad to see this couple get their HFN ending.

4.5 'I am just loving this series and all the off shoots of it. Have read a couple of the Loose Ends series and did not realise that these, as well as the Run this Town series are all connected. Novella length, free story from Ms. Ashton's website. Features Teo and Tommy, a few years married, a big blow up and resolution. It's intense, and hot. The preview for her next series "Run this Town" grabbed my interest. Can't wait to read that one.

Freebie from Ms. Ashton's website.

Wow.... So much violence... But intensely hot. Although I do see Teo as the more dominant... So it's hard to switch.
