Have you ever met that someone who steals your breath with just a look? That someone you can’t stop thinking about, no matter how hard you try?

I have.

I met her in a dream. Never would I have expected her to step right into my reality, though.

But she did.

Although I can’t explain why, Payton Fowler makes me want things I never imagined I could have. She soothes the chaos in my head. But she doesn’t know who I really am, and she doesn’t see the darkness that lives inside of me.

She’s supposed to be off limits to me. But that’s not a problem because I’ve perfected the art of breaking the rules.

My name is Sebastian Trovato and this is the story of how I met the woman who unhinges me.

Holy shit!!! This was fucking amazeballs! I started and finished in a matter of hours. It sucked me in right away and held me captive until I was done. A great first book in a trilogy I loved both Payton and Sebastian as main characters. Both pov's were strong and easily distinguishable. And hello....a man with tats and multiple piercings, yes please! But there's great story that is mysterious for the most part. Sebastian has a past, a sad and dark one. We learn a little but I suspect more truths come out in the next one. I hope so.
May I just say their chemistry and sexual tension was off the charts??? Hot damn! Surprisingly no sex though, and yet I still felt compelled to read on. That part didn't bother me since there was some physical contact between the two. And I loved it. I loved Sebastian. Alot.
Also the side characters were awesome. Chloe, Aaron, Tobey and Leif...all great and fun personalities. I'm excited to learn more about them.
Ahhh, this book is FREE!!!! It's definitely worth it. I already bought the second one. Ready to devour when I wake up in the morning. Seriously, give this book a chance.

Yikes. The characters and plot are terribly written, in my opinion. It makes me wonder if the author has ever had a real life interaction with another human being before. Judging by the way this book was going- I would say no. Her characters would overreact to something another character did and the reader (i.e. Me) would be left confused as to why they were acting this way. Like random bursts of laughter when nothing was said or done to be considered funny. The heroine had this in spades. Her character was written as if she had an extreme case of bipolar personality disorder; mad one minute and then flirty the next sentence and then back to being mad by the end of the page.

I'm disappointed because the blurb really intrigued me! I thought I was going to get this unique plot where the hero and heroine have dreams about each other and that there would be this romantic plot that explained why they were having significant dreams about each other. Nope. No such plot exists. After the forth chapter the dreams aren't even brought up.

Oh well. Onto the next mediocre book.

"Whoever he was, there was something about him....
Something that Unhinged me."

I picked this book up because I had heard that it was actually a book by Nicole Edwards just written under a different name. The reason for this is because Nicole did not want her fans to think that it was going to be a traditional Nicole Edwards book which sit firmly in the erotica category. This book is completely different, it was much more of a sweet romance.

The book starts with Peyton having a dream about a guy, but not knowing who he is, although she's had the dream before. All she knows is she doesn't want it to end. But alas, she has to get up to go to the new job she has just started.

The new job is working for Mr Conrad Trovato, CEO of Trovato inc, a high end car/ engine designer. Wait, I know what you're thinking - nope this isn't one of those books! Payton is sent to Mr Trovato's house one day on an errand. There she literally meets the guy of her dreams.

"Holy crap.
He was the guy from my dream. The dream I'd had for the last couple of weeks. He was the guy I couldn't look away from, the one I would try to call back just before I would awaken abruptly"

He introduces himself as Sebastian and Payton assumes that he is Mr Trovato's mechanic.

The book is told from dual POV, so we get inside Sebastian's head too. He has also had a dream a about a girl who unhinged him, and yep you've guessed it, it's Payton.

Sebastian is not who Payton thinks he is though, he has a secret.

I really did enjoy reading this book, it was an easy read, the words flowed well and it kept me engaged. It was funny in parts and Sebastian is HOT! As the story progress' Sebastian emerges as having a bit of a bad boy persona. Did I also mention he has Tats and piercings? Hell yes, he's definitely hot! He's also told to stay away from Payton, but he can't get her out of his head either and so definitely breaks that rule!

"There was only one problem. She unhinged me. And I wasn't strong enough to resist her."

The book is a really short read though at only 184 or so pages and I was disappointed to find just as I was really immersed in the book it ended. On top of that it ends on a massive cliffhanger. Sebastian is just about to tell Payton a huge secret, not the one we as readers know already of who he really is, but a new secret and although you kind of get the gist of what he's about to say, it is shocking and you don't know the how, why or what Payton's reaction will be. So the book definitely leaves you wanting more, but I'll admit I found this hugely frustrating. Luckily the second book in the series is now out.

In summary, overall this was a good book that had me laughing in places and definitely lusting after Sebastian. The secrets he held added mystery to the book and kept it engaging. Although I said this is a sweeter Romance, there were still a couple of hot scenes that left you wanting more, just don't expect Nicole Edwards hot. Although there is the element of them both dreaming about the other before they met, this is not a paranormal book in any way. The disappointment for me came in the shortness of the book and it feeling like it ended just as it started to get going. That said it is a reasonably priced book and with the next one already out, It is worth having a read. I've started book two Unraveling and my review of that will be up shortly.

Amateur. Overly dramatic in an attempt to compensate for boring, uncreative, lazy dialog. A professional editor would have been a good place to start. Once again I am astounded that a novel of this quality gets so many 5 star reviews. Is it because one of the characters is a hot guy with tats and a lip ring? If so those responsible need to join a book club so that they can be shown what good writing looks like. This is a novel not a poster. Demand some quality writing from the author before you hand over your 4 or 5 star review. There are so many really great novels out there - and you are certainly doing the author no favour by rating poor work highly. You are also doing a great disservice to author with great talent and also to your fellow readers who rely on your reviews.

Everyone has heard of someone looking for his or her dream partner. Most of these endeavors are in vane and bound to fail but what if? Payton Fowler was in need of a job. Her application as a personal assistant to the CEO of Trovato Inc was approved and she was starting out on a new job that was sure to be an adventure. Austin, Texas based Trovato manufactured performance engines and was highly thought of in the industry. The owner, Conrad Trovato was a self-made multibillionaire. The story tends to ramble around like a few tooth-fairy teeth in a silver christening cup but eventually saunters toward a plot. A chance meeting with Sebastian, Conrad Trovato’s illegitimate son, opens a fairy tale story that may or may not end with a happily ever after ending. Having an innate and natural aversion to self mutilation I suffered through endless references of tattoos and piercings on every conceivable part of the human body. I recognize the fact that different people have different tastes but this descriptive tidbit didn’t particularly appeal to me. The inner turmoil brewing in each of the major characters frustrated me rather than perking my interest. The story left the reader cliff-hanging, wanting and expecting more. I found it more a question about much to do about nothing.

What I liked:
1) The dual povs. Although written in the first person, I found both Sebastian's and Payton's narratives very readable. Sebastian also sounded like a guy. That's always a good thing.
2) The language was pretty clean. There wasn't too much swearing. There was also no sex in this book at all.
3) Payton. Aside from her slightly whiny intro, she was a pretty strong character. She didn't allow herself to melt into a puddle around Sebastian's hotness and she really tries to reign in her hormones around him when she realizes that he's keeping secrets from her. I really respect that. Too often NA heroines "can't help themselves" around the H due to the H's hotness. Ugh.

What I didn't like:
1) How short this was. I think that's why there wasn't a lot going on in the plot. Maybe there will be more in the sequel? I hope so. Any more alluding to secrets is going to make me scream.
2) The whole dream thing. It'd better be explained soon. It's like a weird twist on insta-love. Huh.

5 Stars!

I freaking loved this! This is so very different in Nicole Edwards' writing style yet it rocks! This book was full of suspense, twists, turns, sexy times, laugh out loud moments, and has one bad and sexy "mechanic"! This book is part of a trilogy so be warned.

This is Sebastian and Payton's story. When Payton meets what she thinks is her boss' mechanic, she can't help but feel drawn to him. And when she realizes he is the man she has been dreaming about, she is shocked to her core that he exists. When Sebastian meets Payton, he has to have her. Get ready for a wild and crazy ride with Payton and Sebastian.

I am in love with Sebastian. I love he and Payton. I can feel their chemistry. I can feel their connection. I loved their moments. I loved their banter. I want MORE of them!

I cannot wait for the next installment!

SEBASTIAN TROVATO, as if that name isn't sexy all on it's own! What if all of us could be fortunate enough to have our "dream man" literally appear out of our dreams, let alone be his dream woman, ahhhhhh. Sebastian is hot on many levels, black sheep of a very wealthy family, the brains behind that wealth, sexy personality, doesn't drink very much, nor smoke and not a woman chaser, just a well to do, brainy, dark pierced, and tattooed racer and "mechanic" with demons that cause so much chaos in his head. I loved this!! Not a lot of sex, which is fine, he alone and the story makes up for it. Payton sure is a lucky girl!

A loaded story full of twisty suspense. This book is in dual POVs so you get both sides of the story.

Both of them have dreamt of each other. Payton thinks her dream guy is a mechanic but he is not. He is keeping secrets.

This book has plenty of laughs and suspense. The chemistry between the characters is great. Can’t wait for more of Payton and Sebastian

Cliffy but not to worry the second book is already out.

Highly recommend this story

Wow, wow, wow! The Unhinged series is amazing! I absolutely loved everything about these three books and the emotional connection Sebastian and Payton shared. The series was focused completely on their relationship and I really enjoyed there was almost zero angst between them. They were so committed to each other, it was refreshingly wonderful to read. The supporting characters were colorful and I cannot wait to read Aaliyah's and Leif's story next.

Sorry to say but it was really really freaking boring. I preferred Sebestian's POV and felt like there were times where Payton's POV should have been his instead. Payton doesn't have much history or story to talk abt so it was pretty boring just following her through her daily life. You see them at different places but it lasts so short that there isn't really a story it's just a retelling of what happened.

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this. It wasn't poorly written and I really enjoyed Sebastian's character, I just didn't feel any connection to it. I was kind of on autopilot the whole way. It was short as well. I really didn't feel any interest between the two main characters, flat I suppose. It was a quick, easy read just not my cup of tea.

I am a huge Nicole Edwards fan. I was a little apprehensive because the writing style in this book is so very different from her other books. While the writing style is defiantly different it is still a fabulous read that I would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Okay, that was some cliffhanger! Guess I need to read the next book in the series to find out and yeh, pretty quick. Both Sebastian and Payton have been having dreams about a person they have never met but seemed familiar. But when they first met in the real world it was UNREAL! What the heck was going on? There was something there that they could not explain but it did not seem to matter. So what next?

Not bad

Has a Nicole Edwards y feel to it. A lil angsty and not long enough were the only downfall. But all and all I liked it

“This man…he wasn’t the only one unhinged. I sensed the darkness and danger that lurked inside of him, but it didn’t scare me. In fact, I felt just the opposite. I was drawn to him. So much so that I knew my life was irrevocably changed from moment forward ~ Payton

Unraveling is book 2 of the Unhinged series by Timberlyn Scott. I fell in love with Sebastian and Payton in Unhinged and this is the continuation and delves deeper into their story. Buckle up, strap yourself in because you are about to go on one hell of a ride.

Sebastian Trovato has hard life. He is very smart, knows what he wants and is ready to move forward and get out of the grasps of Conrad. See, Sebastian is the brains of the operation but few know that. Conrad is the controlling jerk of a father; I don’t even think father suits him. He is more like a controlling jerk, that is more concerned about the next buck and he clearly doesn’t give a ratass about Sebastian. Payton works for Conrad and he has his sights set to keep her busy, so busy thinking he can keep her away from Sebastian now that he knows they have been together.

Well Conrad I got news for you buddy, no matter what you are trying to do…Sebastian has other plans. Payton doesn’t know all of Sebastian’s secrets, we still don’t know all of them but one thing is clear. He will NOT give Payton up no matter what, she’s his Angel. He has fallen for Payton, and has only ever loved one person in his life and she left him unwillingly. We start to see what makes Sebastian tick, but we don’t know all of it…yet.

“It had been iffy there for a while, my anger had been a firestorm burning out of control, but just as I suspected, the moment I looked at her, I had calmed down ~Sebastian

In a trip to Vegas, pieces start to fall together. Of course Sebastian was not invited, Conrad had plans to fill Payton’s head with god knows what, but we knew he wouldn’t stay away, from here starts a chain of events that take you even deeper into the story.

The pull between Sebastian and Payton is magnetic. When they are together they both feel grounded, not lost, lonely and floating in space. I love the relationship they have. In this book you’ll get to know more of Aaliyah and her relationship with Sebastian. I honestly like her her a lot. She may be uppity but she’s grounded and I think she has a good heart. We also see more of Sebastian’s best friends Lief and Toby. I love how she keeps letting us see more and more into the characters backgrounds and I feel like I am really getting to know them.

I can’t wait for the next book. I was screaming at the end, literally. Book 3 can’t come quick enough, because I need more Sebastian and I need him NOW. Towards the end of this book, things get tense and I promise it will leave you hanging onto the edge of your seat.

Five Stars to Timberlyn for this new series. This is way different then Nicole Edwards other books, her alter ego popped out and its shining bright. You will definitely want to read this series, it is different but so deliciously good!

Book Description

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you found your dream man? No, really…the man that you have been dreaming about every night? Payton Fowler never thought that he actually existed until she met Sebastian Trovato, who she thought was her boss’s mechanic. But he’s hiding secrets and she is determined to find out what they are.

Review

This trilogy was fantastic. I am a big fan of Nicole Edwards and having found out that she also writes as Timberlyn Scott intrigued me. I was definitely rewarded for reading this series. It was perfect. The story was well rounded with the perfect amount of romance, action, and twists. The characters were real and believable.

I loved that we got a bad boy who has badass tattoos and piercing but who isn’t a druggie, alcoholic, or asshole. Sebastian is sexy, sensitive, and protective. Though he has a bit of a hot temper, he finds ways to let off steam through adrenaline and not drugs. It’s nice to see an author stepping outside of the bad boy trope and adding a little good guy to him. The fact that we’re also given the wonderful Payton as his perfect match, who is loyal and accepting of Sebastian, and you have a perfectly complex couple for this romance.

Their love for each other was all consuming and I appreciated that they both accepted it and never denied their feelings for one another. This is a story where the main couple doesn’t play games. They’re honest and accepting of their love for the other, which is also a nice change from the denial of feelings in many romances these days.

They are always there for each other. Their relationship is not compromised as they continue to support each other. The conflict comes in the form of family drama and not the ever present theme of relationship complications we see in most romances today.

You must read all three books in order to get the complete story. Fair warning: the cliffhangers will make you immediately grab for the next book! Luckily, all three books are available! I will definitely be adding Timberlyn Scott on my must read list. With flawless writing and superb storytelling abilities, you can’t go wrong with either Nicole Edwards or Timberlyn Scott’s books.

So .. I have to say I LOVED this book and I HATED it too. I'm too impatient for cliffy endings and this one has it, but it was soooooooo good. It sucked you in from the beginning, the story took it's time to develop and the characters were so well written and tangible it was like watching a movie in my head instead of reading a book. Payton and Sebastian meet under serendipitous conditions, a few assumptions (you know what they about those) later and you have the makings of either a love match waiting to happen or a disaster you can't look away from. Luckily for them it turned out to be a good thing, and romance soon blossomed, under strained circumstances. Quickly things heat up for them both between the sheets (STEAMY!!) and in the real world (Ouch!!). Of course just as it got to the good part it was over. I'm just thankful I didn't discover the series until they were all done, otherwise I might have had to do bodily harm to someone or I might have been that creepy chick from Misery, making Timberlyn finish the books to my satisfaction. This book was so different from all Nicole Edwards (Timberlyn Scott's alter ego) other books it was hard to believe that they were written by the same person. I'm definitely looking forward to finishing the series, and anything else she might have planned under this Pen Name. 5 stars for book that sucks you in and just won't let go!!

I met her in a dream. Never would I have expected her to step right into my reality. But she did.

Though I can’t explain why, Payton Fowler makes me want things I never imagined I could have. She soothes in every way possible. But she doesn’t know who I really am, and she doesn’t see the darkness that lives inside of me.

I absolutely love the way Payton reacts to Sebastian. Her reactions at certain things is hilarious. The electricity between them is HOTT!!! This is going to be an awesome series by the amazingly talented Timberlyn Scott .

Ive laughed and giggled many times in this book. There are parts that totally warrant the giggling. No. No. No. The story just can’t end. I was hooked from the very beginning.

I loved everything about this book except how it ended. I want more. Im just not able to add more without leaving spoilers. Trust me. You do not want to miss out on this series. I definitely recommend this book.

Payton Fowler is a young woman who has been having dreams about a guy she doesn't know, but is immensely attracted to. She takes a new job at Trovato Inc which makes performance engines for cars, and when she's sent to her boss' house to pick something up, she runs into the man of her dreams...literally! Sebastian Trovato is the bastard son of Conrad Trovato. He has also been having dreams of a girl -- and he's shocked when she shows up at the estate. The two begin a somewhat forbidden romance - Sebastian's dad has told him to stay away from Payton, and Payton doesn't want to lose her job. I liked the characters in this story, but I couldn't understand what kind of hold Conrad has over Sebastian - hopefully the next book will explained it more. This is a serial - one of my pet peeves - come on authors, just write a full book, for Pete's sake!!! Don't break it up into multiple parts!! Nevertheless, this first book hooked me enough to continue on. For fans of Nicole Edwards books (which I am a big one!), note there is NO sex in this book. So I'm pretty disappointed about that, and again hopefully that will be remedied in book #2.

I almost didn't read this book. It has been popping up on my recommendations for months, but the syponis left me a little confused. When there's mentioned of dreaming about it there's usually a paranormal aspect to the book, which to me is the only way for the book to make sense. But [so far] there is nothing paranormal about this book. That's why I find there fast attraction and feelings a little odd. I've read books were they fall hard and fast, but many of those books I end up hating that aspect. This book was definitely one of them. I thought it was a little weird that after a week they're sudden in love with each other. And these weird unexplained dream, which were horrible written because each time said dream was mention it was verbatim the same thing everything. It be one thing if it was the same dream written in a unique way each time, but no it was like the author copy and pasted it any time they had the dream. It was annoying. And the book was too short to really have much substance to it. And the ending... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Now of course I'm going to read the next book...
