After graduating in history at University College London, I missed writing about history whether it was Tokugawa Japan or the American revolution. As a graphic designer and writer I wanted to combine history with a fun graphical style. Now I present a gift to children who have a curiosity about the world around them and its rich past, in the form of my series 'Simple History'.

It covers the most important facts in a way that is good for everyone. While it doesn't go into a lot of detail, the artwork helps one remember the main points. I took the quiz at the end of the book and was surprised to get all the answers right. I certainly didn't do as well in school on this period of history.

It’s a nice book

The book has a bunch of interesting facts for people who want to know WWII history. The illustrations depict what they are talking about and they have sections on basically everything, from living situations to guns. If you are interested about learning about the history of the war, this book is a definite purchase.

This is a nonfiction book about World War II, and it is written for intermediate school age (3-6 grade, or age 8-11). I would pair this book with The Amazing story of Adolphus Tips by Michael Morpurgo. I think this story is the perfect pair because it takes place during World War II.

Good book

I liked how Daniel Turner used lots of facts. I disliked that it was a pretty short book but good overall

This book is a infographics-based non-fiction book that focuses on WWII. This does not contain a lot of info, but has a great interface

This was absolutely excellent! Well researched, hit all the major events and the illustrations added a nice visual experience. Highly recommend prior to diving into heftier history tomes.

An entertaining way to get a quick overview of history. This volume happened to be World War II. Even though major players all looked like South Park characters, I did enjoy it and I think it'd be a great learning tool for younger readers to learn about history.

Neat

Compact, concisely written, fully illustrated. This book offers a pinpoint view of WWI, the participants, the reasons, the weaponry, the conditions, and the results. I am excited to be able to share this with our history teacher's.

Is it History for Dummies? WWII with lego figures? An adult book? Children’s book? I can’t decide but it was a nice overview and visually appealing. 👌🏻
