Purchased online and returned same day. Nothing wrong with the book but I was looking for a solution to a set of specific niggles in my Pivoting like percentage values by rows and I could find this in the index or anywhere. Plus the reader needs to get a few Add-ins for the Excel to really join the the text, these are probably free - but it was too much messing about and head-ache for me. This book though would be great for right person I no doubt, just not for me.
If connecting to databases (SQL, Web etc) will help you in anyway, this book is extremely helpful. As expected, it was an easy read and the scope was exactly what I was looking for!
Lots of great info on manipulating data once in power query. It also exposed me to power pivot, something I’ve utilized sparingly.
The relational database component was the most useful. If you’re concatenating cells (creating unique IDs) and using lots of VLOOKUPS to connect the databases, read this book.
