After the death of her mother Talon Ashbee believed she was all alone in the world then she discovers her father actually died nine months earlier but had spent the last twenty-three years looking for her. After his death a friend continued his search finally finding Talon.

Although Talon never gets to meet her father she discovers she's inherited his house and diner and so with her current life a mess she packs up and moves to the small California town of Brently on the Mexican border. She meets her father's friend Mick and the sparks fly on both sides but having just been hurt Talon is a little wary and despite the attraction she's determined not to rush head first into something.

Mick is a member of CAOS MC and Magnus (Talon's father) was not only his best friend, mentor and surrogate father but club brother as well and Mick has to wonder if his death really was an accident.

This is a hot read, there's a lot of sex here folks and unprotected not knowing if they're clean sex at that.
Both Talon and Mick are likeable characters, Mick is hot and not afraid to go after what he wants and Talon is a normal woman she says what she means, listens to advice and then takes it, gasp! I know it will never do.

There's a whole story here and while there's no cliffhanger we are left with some unanswered questions.

I do wish it had been longer, I would have liked more depth and more on the club.

Well, I had high hopes for this but it just didn't live up to my expectations. I liked that it was insta-love but even this was a bit ridiculous.

The heroine catches her fiancé with her best friend banging on her kitchen table...bareback. So gross and gross. This prompts the heroine to make the decision to leave and go live in the house her father left her at his death, a father she never knew. Here she meets the hero, Mick. There's the immediate attraction and they start banging pretty quickly. But what does she do? Does she have the clean talk? NOPE. Do they use condoms? Uh NOPE. Does he ask if she's on birth control? NOPE. Seriously, you just caught your fiancé banging your bff and comment on it being RAW but you never get tested and then you turn around and do the same thing. The hero is in a MC and guess what...there's "pass-arounds" aka club whores all around and the heroine knows he's been with some of them but never questions if he's clean. STUPID.

I just could not get past that to really enjoy it...if I even could because honestly, it was written like there were all these pieces that were part of a pattern but were sewn together wrong and don't fit.
There were so many things...just small snippets of things, that were never fleshed out or elaborated on. This had the potential to be better but really could have benefited from being longer where some of these things could be elaborated on. There were things never addressed. It really felt like an outline or rough draft to me.

Quick and steamy MC story. I am always worried there will be a lot of club whores (or passarounds as they are called in this story) which are total turn offs for me. While they are there, aside from nasty looks and a flirtatious waitress (who the hero disregarded and stated he had never touched her before) they are not an huge part of the story.

-no cheating- heroine catches her ex fiance banging her buff before she meets the hero, but no cheating from main characters
-no ow/om drama
-no pushing away
-unprotected sex before they had the STD talk which was dumb. She had a cheating fiancee and she didnt know who he had slept with
-violence- heroine is attacked but is saved before she is hurt badly.
-secondary characters- the guys who are future heroes were not skanky from what I could tell. I didn't see any of them with other women. So far, depending on their story, I should be able to read their stories. Cash and Minx seem interesting but I'm worried it will be too much pushing away.
-safe neither are with others after meeting
-just ok epilogue about 4 months out. Definitely not enough of their HEA

Talon Ashbee is through with her now ex boyfriend and now ex best friend, she finds out that the father she never knew anything about has passed away and she has inherited his home. Packing up and moving, she meets Mick right away, he is part of her father's club CAOS MC and it is not long before they are acting on the attraction they have for one another. However, there are members of the club that have other motives to keep them apart.

I liked the concept of this one but wanted answers for Talon and I did feel like she just jumped in to bed with Talon without much of a courtship. Had a couple of twists that made the story interesting. Would check out more in series.

Mick is the first book in the Caos MC series by KB Winters.

The beautiful, sassy, smart and sweet Talon Ashbee was the long lost daughter of a man she didn't know existed until nine months after he died. He left her everything so she came to the small Southern California town to claim the house and diner that she now owned.

Mick was the MC brother that took over tracking her down after his mentor and surrogate father died. He vowed to complete the task that his MC brother had spent two decades trying to accomplish, finding his daughter.

Mick was short and sweet. Simultaneously it highlighted the relationship development between Mick and Talon, while also setting the stage for the series. There were several questions left unanswered and I hope the same suspenseful underlying theme will run through the series so some additional gaps will be filled in. So far the MC drama demonstrated betrayal and greed combined with a mixture of its polar opposite, loyalty and brotherhood. It also provided a brief introduction of the support cast within the MC that will be featured in future books.

As a novella, it was well written and a quick, light read. As with any novella, I craved more but it was still enjoyable. I hope more depth, dimension and complexity will be provided as we dive fully into the series. I look forward to seeing where Winters takes us next with Cash and Minx's story.

2.5 Dick Stars

"Dick" had a lot of fun in this book... Don't ask me why I read this book again. I just didn't remember anything at all, so I thought to read it again and then read the next one in the series...
Naming the intimate parts of your body is something I find hilarious, so the steam went down a lot... Overall, it was a quite classic Motorcycle Club romance story, not bad...

You’d never know that this was KB Winters first MC romance.

Mick was a great blend of grittiness, suspense, humour, action and steam.

Mick and Talon were super-HOT together and somehow amidst the requisite crassness, violence and dirty dealings that we expect from a great MC romance, there was a lightheartedness and sweetness to Mick and Talon’s relationship.

I absolutely loved Mick and I’m really looking forward to reading more CAOS books.

Standalone. HEA. No cliffhanger.

This was such a speed read. Everything happened so quickly without any real connection to the characters or the reasoning on why they acted or thought as they did. This was a novella trying to be a novel and it wasn't good at being either.

Mick is a biker and former military member. He rides for a group called CAOS. No, I didn't spell that wrong. They're based along the border with Mexico in a small dusty desert town named Brently.

Magnus, also member of CAOS, has been killed before he can find his long lost daughter. He wills her a home, and a diner in the hopes that she will someday know that he loved her in spite of the separation.

Talon, daughter of Magnus, is brought to town after her father's death and discovering her boyfriend betrayed her by having sex with her best friend. She leaves town to make a fresh start, kindly given to her by her dead father. The town is welcoming, but none more than Mick.

It's an instant attraction between them and they're tearing up the streets on his bike and the sheets on her bed in no time. Give me a break!

I understand that this is book one but...UNCLE! This book is nothing but written word porn. There are numerous sex scenes, ridiculous instalove, and absolutely no story. I have so many issues it's hard to form a list, but I'll give it a go. The things I do for my readers!

Her father has been killed by members of his own club. It's mentioned throughout the book. We never find out why or even how.

There are discrepancies in the books at the diner, mostly around Mexican grown produce. They are never explained. Seeing a theme?

Charlie leaves town. Um, why? Where is she going? Is she coming back? If so, when?

After a push in attack, in her own home, from two members of CAOS they are banished from the club and the punishment is something called The Outlaw. What is that?

Those same two members- probably aided by other members- have beaten yet another member named Dagger. Why?

Talon, Magnus, Minx, etc. Just why? I know that Magnus is a real name, but come on! Ugh!!

Book one comes to an abrupt, and very half hearted, end at 66%!! Did she tire of the characters? I know I did!

She's pregnant. Of course she fricking is! They have sex like it's going out of style, on every surface imaginable, without a condom. And then he proposes! With a diamond ring he just happened to have. *EYE ROLL*

Maybe all my questions have answers in the books to come. I will never know. I am not continuing the series.

The writing, while technically correct, wasn't captivating enough to hook me. This is a very short story, barely a novella, and I kept putting it down so much that it took me four days from start to finish. The H/h fell in love faster than that! In my opinion, it's just amateurishly written porn and I can find that anywhere on the web with a simple Google search.

Mick (CAOS) MC Book 1)

Talon is the long lost daughter of the founder of California Outlaw Sentinel/Specialist Motorcycle Club. Upon Magnus death, in his will she was left a few acres and a diner. Talon quickly left Chicago for the west coast town of Brently where she meets another member of the CAPS named Mick. Talon & Mike get their HEA after some drama with members of the Cali club. A pretty 👍read.

I was impressed!

MC Club books are not my usual genre but I do like special forces and military stories and I had read a couple of KB Winters' books before so thought I'd give it a try. I really did love the idea of men home from Battle dealing with hard stuff emotionally and often physically being able to find a family of brotherhood that allowed them to keep fighting for good things for good people. Actually I love the idea of CAOS MC! Talon has always yearned for a father but was told by her now deceased mom that he was a good guy who had died. Then she is contacted by a lawyer and finds out her father was alive all along, until he died 9 months earlier. And he left her a house and a business and some letters. Now she has decisions to make, so she heads home only to find the decision a lot easier when she discovers her boyfriend getting it on with her best friend. Well now she's going to see exactly what's left for her in the town her dad once called home. One of the first things she finds there is a red headed to die for hunk named Mick. And so the story of two lonely, somewhat tattered people who find one another begins. There's a little rough violence if that's a trigger and an eluded to story of a young woman rescued from the sex trade in case that's also a problem. But the story is well written and easy to inhale page by page right to the end. There were a few things that bothered me, they were mentioned but never explained, maybe it was foreshadowing for the next book or so but that's the main reason I gave the book a 4 star. Another is that I felt the trust and emotional intimacy were rushed a bit, I would have been happy with a longer story. But these really are personal issues, and in all I loved the book! I've already downloaded more.

WOW! I LOVED THIS!

Mick is a big bad ass biker and Talon is a raven haired beauty. Talon's father was a member of CAOS MC and so is Mick. Talon finds out one day that her father that she'd thought had been dead for years had died and he left her his house his land and a diner. All her life her mother told her that her father Magnus was dead and now he really was and all she wanted was just to meet him once and now even her mother was dead so she couldn't even ask her about him. So when she finds her boyfriend buried balls deep in her best friend she decides it's a good time to pack up and move. It really hurts her think that all those years she thought he was dead and now he really was and she'd never get to meet him and not to mention he'd been searching for her but could never find her so Mick who loved Magnus like a father decides to continue the search for her. So when she gets to Brently the first person she meets is Mick the big gorgeous red headed biker and falls instantly in lust with him their attraction to each other is so strong I had fireworks coming out of my Kindle. Lol. When things really started heating up between them it was off the charts smokin hot. Talon is a sassy little spitfire with a sharp wit who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go for it. She had me cracking up. Mick was blown away by her. Her beauty and her strength and fearlessness. The sex is freakin amazing. At times I was cringing at the pain she suffered. This author's writing is so descriptive I could feel the emotion coming off the pages. I loved it. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Mick has KB Winters' trademark sexiness, plus some gritty (but not too OTT) MC dealings. Talon has just learned that the father she had thought died before she was born, has died and left her an inheritance. Couple that surprise with the fact that Talon came home and found her boyfriend banging her (former) best friend, and Talon has about had it with her life. So, she kicks the two cheaters out of her apartment, sells everything and heads out across the country to go see what her father has left her.

It's in Brently, a small town near the Mexican border, that Talon will find her home, and her love. Mick is a big, sexy beast of a redheaded former SEAL who meets her at her father's home, the home that is now hers. Sparks fly when they meet, and the attraction is instantaneous. Mick is Magnus' (Talon's father) fellow brother in the CAOS MC. Magnus was like a father to him, and he's thrilled to be meeting the daughter Magnus had been searching for for so many years. As the two fall into a steamy relationship, things seem to be going well, as Talon's settling into her new home. But, Mick is dealing with some crazy club business. He's trying to find out who in his club is dealing on the side, and who killed Magnus. Thank God he's got Talon to go home to, and Cash by his side to help sniff out the rats.

Mick is a great start to a new series! Talon is feisty and sweet and Mick is sexy and protective, with a soft heart underneath his mountain of muscles. The MC action in Mick isn't as gritty in some MC romances, and I like that. It's still sexy, and has its share of action, but nothing too graphic or brutal. Can't wait for Cash's story next!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

This book was written by an amazing writer and author. KB did such a great job with bringing together two people that had one person in common without even knowing each other in the beginning.
When Talon gets word that her father Magnus has past away and left her a house and diner in California she is totally blown away because her mother had told her that her father had past away when she was a kid.. She rushes home to talk to her boyfriend about what she should do. Talon walks in her place and not only gets one but two more surprises when she finds her boyfriend and her best friend having sex. She kicks them both out and moves to California.
When Magnus was murdered Mick decided to carry on the investigation of finding Magnus's daughter. Magnus had been searching for his daughter for years but never found her. Mick has finally located Talon 9 months after Magnus's death. Mick always felt like Magnus was a father to him ever since he took him into the CAOS MC. The CAOS MC was built up by 5 Vietnam Vets who try keeping drugs out of their town but they do run bikes, guns and girls. Magnus was an Ex Navy Seal and Mick is Ex Navy.
Talon and Mick have a great chemistry and together they are combustible. Talon is gorgeous, sassy and sexy female and Mick is a big gorgeous hunk and biker bad boy . When they finally get together things start to change and they are not sure who they can trust. Will they be able to trust each other and will they survive what will become the fight of their lives?
I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review.

Talon Ashbee is in despair after receiving a letter from a lawyer notifying her that her father has died. It is a shock to her after twenty-three years of hearing her father died before her birth from her mother. The letter identifies a house, land and diner she inherited in Brently California. She was struggling with the decision to go until walking in on her best friend and boyfriend having sex in her apartment. Magnus Ashbee was a member of the California Outlaw Sentinel, started up with Vietnam veterans responsible for keeping drug traffickers, cartels, and gangs out of Brently. His death to many in the club appears suspicious to Mick. Mick is an ex-Navy seal, who Magnus mentored and took into the CAOS MC after he left the Marine. He meet Talon at the house and introduce himself and the attraction is immediately flowing between the two. Will Talon find out who kill her father? Can the CAOS accept Talon as Magnus daughter? How will Talon handles her new asset? Why was the diners book unbalanced? The storyline and characters is good but the story was short with instant love between Talon and Mick. It was filled with deception, betrayal, and action within the motorcycle club. A quick book to read! I'm looking forward to reading Cash.

I enjoyed this book and devoured it in one sitting. I wasn’t once bored and was satisfied with the ending.
Can I just say; the heroines name in this book is kickass! I have never read a book with a heroines name being as unique as it was. I have read books in the past where the hero’s name is Talon but never a heroine. I love Talon’s attitude. She is carefree and easy to love. She is so laid back! The chemistry between Talon and Mick was clear to see. I liked them as a couple and was rooting for them to get their happily ever after. I loved that Talon helped Dagger despite not having met him before. My heart hurt for Talon, she never got to see and meet her father.
One thing that did confuse me was that Mick told Talon that he needed space and wasn’t ready for the next step in the relationship. In the exact same day he is proposing to her?! He didn’t seem it, but was he bluffing? He had a ring so it had to be thought out?
I do have one question; the waitress that was rude to Talon, why didn’t Talon fire her? Talon owned the diner and was the nasty woman’s boss. If she was mean to me and tried to warn me off my man, I would’ve fired her ass. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I liked Minx and want more of her.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read.

Talon is having a life changing day. First she gets news from a lawyer that her father just died and left her his house and diner. Talon had been told by her mom that her dad died before she was born so this was a big shock. She goes home to find her live-in boyfriend having sex with her best friend in her kitchen. Feeling betrayed she breaks things off and moves to see the inheritance from her father.
Mick was in the the same MC as her dad and a good friend of him. He continues the search for his friend's daughter until Talon was found. Mick is loyal to the things he loves like his friends, his MC , his bike and maybe now Talon. Mick used to be in the military and was lost when he got out. A chance meeting gave him a new home, family (MC) and job. He has been happy until recently but his friends death is suspicious and members of the club are acting strangely.
Mick and Talon fall for each other hard. Their chemistry is through the roof but Mick wants to keep Talon safe. I loved this story and I can't wait for the next book in the series. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Once again KB doesn't disappoint. This is a great read, written well, loved the storyline and the characters. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series. Talon has nobody else in her life. Her mother just passed away from cancer and her mother told her that her father has been dead since she was small. She just received news that her father just passed away 9 months ago, her dad has been looking for her for all of these years and he left her his house and diner in Brently California. She's not sure how she feels about this so when she comes home after meeting with the lawyer to find her boyfriend banging her best friend on their kitchen counter, her decision is made. She is leaving for Brently. When she arrives, she is met by a very sexy man with tattoos for days named Mick. He was good friends with her dad and they belonged to the same MC club. The attraction is instant. What will happen when they give in to their attraction? Will they find out if Talon's dad Magnus was killed or was just in the wrong place at the wrong time? It's a quick read and well worth your time. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.

I loved this book though there was some sad things in it. I hate that Talon’s mother lied to her all those years. I hate that Talon will never know why her mother did what she did. I also hate that Talon never got to meet her dad, Magnus. I do love that fact that until her father died he never stopped looking for her. I loved that we got to see through others what a big heart her father had. I also love the fact that Mick pick up looking for Magnus daughter.

I can only imagine the shock that Talon must of felt when she found out her father had been alive all those years and now she will never get to meet him. There had to be so many emotions going on.

Mick was pure yummy. He was in the Caos MC. He was the bad boy on a bike that we all crave. I love the connection that we got to see between Mick and Talon. It was instant. There was not fighting the relationship, they just went for it.

There is something going on in the MC that just is not right. Mick will need to find out who he can trust and his girl Talon will be in trouble.

There is so many good parts and glad I got a chance to read the book.

Talon's mother always kept hush hush about Talon's dad. But, when an attorney contacts her about her dad's death, she's saddened that her mother would keep him from her. Apparently, she now owns a house and a diner near Mexico. She goes home to tell her boyfriend the news, she finds him in the kitchen with her best friend, in a most embarrassing situation. She kicks him out and leaves town to where her father lived.

Mick is a member of the CAOS MC and has been trying to locate Magnus' daughter. She shows up in town and oh man is she ever HOT!! He instantly feels an attraction to her and dares anyone to get near her. He wants her for his own. After he sees some "shady" meetings happening by accident, he's beginning to wonder was Magnus' death planned or accidental?

I loved the bantering between Talon and Mick! This was a book that I sat down and read the whole thing in one sitting! It was suspenseful, funny, sweet, and super sexy!! Once again, KB Winters has written a masterpiece! Can't wait to read more stories about the CAOS MC!!

Loving CAOS MC

I've read this all backwards! I read Roddick, first, thoroughly enjoyed it too!
Then Mick, which had been equally enjoyable.

I think I'll read them in order from here on out!

Talon, what A lovely girl, with an amazing heart, even though she has been denied certain people from her life! Dealt with cheating ex's and supposed best friends!

But she makes her way to Brently, and learns all about family, and not necessarily blood related! She meets Mick, and we get two great people who get to know each other as they earn all about each other's existence, they make a great couple. Two in finds her way around the town with the help of Minx.

There are a few unexpected happenings going on with the MC club, but between Mick and Talon, things begin to unravel. She is one tough cookie, and I'm glad she got to meet Mick, they deserved to find love in an epic scale.

Looking forward to getting to see the other members of the club as we go through the remains books of the series!

Wow! Love this new direction KB Winters is taking by venturing into the world of MC romance. Talon grew up thinking her dad was dead her whole life. Then she finds out he was actually alive until recently. He left her a house and a dinner and she decides to check it out. Mick is a member of the CAOS MC that Talon's dad was in and is the welcoming committee. As soon as they meet the sparks start flying. Its not long before these to are in one passionate, sexy relationship. But there is trouble in MC and Talon and Mick soon get caught up in it. Loved, loved this short story! Cannot wait to see what happens next with the CAOS MC. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
