We carry within us the seeds of the genius we seek without. Each one of us possesses a mathematical brain. An ingrained power, a creative energy, a greater problem solving capacity than we probably give ourself credit for.
With better understanding, I am sure you can influence yourself and your child to take mathematics on. It is a great subject. Don't knock it. It is your and your child's competitive edge. It is the future.
The book is actually is focused on parents having a child protege (and normal as well). It gives parents a set of guidelines on 'how to nurture mathematical ability in your child. It was not for me, that's why I'm giving two stars.
This book is really a must-read for a parent to let their child not just cram things up, but understand how mathematics (the constant) is always correct other than languages which are more ambiguous. I really liked the simple explanation in the book. This book is thoroughly read by all the teachers in India they would be able to indulge a great spark in young minds about mathematics, not fear and hatred towards the subject.
