Favorite Quote: Never once had she encountered a stranger's erection and become weak-kneed with lust. Until now.

How can I resist a book where a cruise ship chef and a Navy SEAL get kidnapped, and then stranded on a deserted island?? This book is fun - although the SEAL did get on my nerves now and again. Let me set it up.

Cady is our chef, and in need to have a quiet and nice night out. She steps out of her comfort zone, dons a very sexy dress, and has a drink at the cruise ship bar once she is off work. It is here she spies our hero, Logan. He injured his knee while overseas a few weeks ago, and is off duty at the moment. He was initially hired to be the former president's daughter's bodyguard on this cruise, but she cancelled at the last minute. Logan figures he will keep his ticket and a vacation to Tahiti won't be a bad way to spend a few days. He eyes Cady at the bar, and they have instant chemistry. They spark up a conversation, which leads to dancing and...boners.

And all of this leads to them making out in the hallway outside her room. But it's time for the boners to go back into hiding, as Logan gets hit over the head by a few bad men, and thrown overboard! Meanwhile, they put a bag around Cady's head and put her into a little boat and start to drive away. They think they are kidnapping the president's daughter because Cady looks similar to her and Cady is terrified.

Logan wakes up underwater, and fights to get to the boat.

He was Logan Nathaniel Starke. He didn't quit. He didn't sink. He didn't die.

A lot happens - long story short, Logan and Cady end up washed up on a deserted island. Not knowing if the bad guys will find them or the good guys will rescue them, Logan and Cady have to find water and food - and deal with the dangers on the island. Oh - and more boners!

I think this author writes well done action scenes. From the attack on the cruise ship, to washing up on the island, to fending off sharks and poisonous things...it's an exciting book. It allows Logan to show off all of his Navy SEALÌýsurvival skills, which definitely helps them. And although Cady feels inadequate at first - since Logan knows how to stay so calm, and all Cady wants to do is cry, her knowing the native food in the area, helps them gather supplies and which food is not good to eat.

These two have good chemistry from the start - but not bathing for days on end and having sand in your no-no places doesn't really lead to sexy times. But once you have a good cove/waterfall bath - it's on. I did get a little annoyed with Logan. He feels so protective over Cady and feels it would be ethically wrong to cross the physical relationship boundary with her. Once Cady finally convinces him that he was never hired to protect her - it just sort of fell in his lap, they start something up. But after every kiss or making out session, he starts with the apologies, and how wrong it was etc.. Just give Cady some orgasmsÌýand enjoy yourself dude! Goodness.

I wanted Logan to lighten up! Otherwise fun read.

This is a fabulous castaways story. Cruise ship chef Cady thought she was just heading for a night of pleasure in the arms of the hot guy she picked up in the bar. The last thing she expected was to be mistaken for the former First Daughter he was supposed to be protecting, and kidnapped on the high seas!

Cady isn’t the woman he was sworn to protect, but it’s his fault she’s been taken. He’s got to go after her - and given that his other choice is drowning in the South Pacific, Logan starts swimming. A twist of fate sees them escape the kidnappers but wind up stranded on a deserted island with no way to know if they’ve even been missed.
What follows is a slightly harrowing story of survival, from shark bites to stonefish stings, as the determined pair try to survive and try to fight their own attraction to each other at the same time. Nothing about the realities of being stranded in such a situation is glossed over, from injuries and illness to the ever-present dangers of starvation and dehydration, yet somehow the story doesn’t dwell on them too much. It’s a beautifully balanced mix of romance and reality.

This is an interracial romance with Cady being mistaken for a First Daughter named Maya O’Brien, who is pretty clearly a standin for Malia Obama. Cady reacts so realistically to getting stranded on a deserted island, I found myself really wincing along with her as she momentarily despaired. On the other hand, if you’re going to get castaway, you’d definitely want a man like Logan to be stranded with. Tough and capable, he still didn’t insist on doing everything himself, instead challenging Cady to be his partner in every sense of the word. Even though there were moments in the story where I wondered how everything could possibly turn out all right for them in the end, Susan Cliff masterfully wove together threads from the storyline to tie up all the loose ends and give her couple a totally believable happy ending.

If you’ve ever dreamed about being cast away on a deserted island with a sexy Navy SEAL for company, or if you’re a lover of interracial romances, you’ll definitely want to give this one a go.
Five stars.

Good book, though a little different than the romantic suspense that I am used to. The parts I considered "suspense" happened at the beginning and the end, with the middle being a very good survival story. Logan is onboard a cruise ship near Tahiti, where he was supposed to be acting as a bodyguard. However, the client canceled, and he decided to take the trip anyway. He is recovering from an injury received on duty and looks forward to a little rest and relaxation. He also wouldn't mind a little female companionship.

Cady is a chef on the cruise ship. She took the job as a distraction after her ex cheated on her. She is normally a very cautious person, but she picks this night to step outside her comfort zone and sets her sights on Logan. Some conversation and a couple of dances later the sparks fly between them, and they head for his cabin. That's when things go haywire in a big way. Logan is attacked and thrown overboard, and Cady has a bag thrown over her head and is taken off the ship onto a raft.

I loved how Logan's instincts and training kick in even when he's injured and dazed. It doesn't take him long to decide that the only course of action is to swim after the kidnappers and save Cady. The action was intense as Logan worked to get them safely off the boat, only to find themselves floating helplessly in the middle of the ocean. The description of their time on the raft was so vivid that I could almost feel the sun's heat myself. The scene with the shark was terrifying and realistic. I found myself wondering how much more they could take before finding land.

I enjoyed the development of their relationship as it progressed under such challenging circumstances. Cady is understandably freaked out at the beginning. She is so intent on avoiding risk in her life that she has no idea how to handle their circumstances. Logan, thanks to his training, is cool under pressure and knows how to keep them alive. Once Cady breaks free of her panic, I loved seeing her rise to the challenges that Logan gave her. The two of them have to work together to survive, but it isn't always easy. There are some terrific scenes of the two of them butting heads as Cady stands up to some of Logan's caveman moments. Logan's protectiveness can be a little excessive, intensified by some things that happened during his most recent mission with the SEALs. His personal code of conduct tells him that giving in to the attraction between him and Cady would be wrong while he is responsible for her safety. Cady's fear of risk frequently causes her to accuse Logan of purposely doing dangerous things when he's only trying to take care of them or find a way off the island. All the while the heat between them continues to build until they can no longer resist it. Those scenes are intense and the connection between them is far deeper than either expects.

All the time Logan and Cady are on the island they are on the lookout for planes or boats that could provide a rescue for them. They also fear that the men who kidnapped Cady could track them down. When that happens, they once again have to fight for their lives. Thankfully, Cady has changed a lot in the last six weeks, and the outcome this time is different, though no less intense. I enjoyed their arrival back in civilization and had to laugh at their dinner choices for their first meal off the island. They still have some things to work out before they have the future that each of them dreamed of. I really enjoyed the ending with its two unexpected events. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I LOVE this type of story-the one time she goes against type and BOOM!

The survival part reminds me of the old Linda Howard airplane crash survival book. The push-pull to acceptance of their love was great. I wish I could read more about this couple.

This book is like The Blue Lagoon...but different.

Susan Cliff's Stranded with the Navy SEAL is a satisfying and ever-entertaining castaway novel that's a bit lighter on the "suspense" bit of romantic suspense. (This is good, by the way—I appreciated that the romance was given more time to develop than any mystery plots, which is a frequent complaint I have with romantic suspense in general.)

I've never read a romance where the characters spend the majority of the book stranded on a deserted island, so that was a new and exciting adventure for me. I could tell that Cliff paid attention to detail and tried to be accurate to the local flora and fauna, as well as the realistic capabilities of the characters. The relationship between them develops fast because of the charged situation, but it felt natural and believable.

However, the male protagonist, Logan Nathaniel Starke (he sometimes refers to himself using his full name like a weirdo), was a bit of a 'roided-up he-man. I think he does grow but sometimes he was a bit much. Like when he finds out that Cady has been having sexual fantasies about him, he's absolutely gobsmacked, because he thought "women never had such explicit thoughts about men" and it's like...BOY. Women watch porn, too.

Also, can we please discuss this??? (warning for extremely long blockquote)
She wasn't content to lie back and let him do all the work, so she reached out, molding her palm over him. He felt rock-hard and nicely thick.

"Hello," she said, fluttering her lashes. "What do we have here?"

"He's friendly. You can pet him."

She undid the buttons on his fly with a breath laugh. Then she stopped laughing. Because wow. His erection bobbed up against his belly, blunt-tipped and impressive. She encircled his hot flesh in her fist and stroked. "Good boy."

He grunted his pleasure, shuddering a little. Then, after a minute, he stilled her hand. "Sorry, he gets too excited. He's going to make a mess."

She squeezed his shaft. "I don't mind."

I should add that immediately after this, Logan tells Cady to "pet the kitty," (her pussy, apparently) and when she does so, he purrs and tells it "nice kitty." This is portrayed by the text as "filthy talk."

LOL.

All this aside, I really liked Stranded with the Navy SEAL. The book is well-written, the romance develops nicely, and I had fun with it overall.

Actually 3.5 stars

When cruise ship chef Cady Crenshaw is mistaken for a politician's daughter and kidnapped off her ship, Logan Starke (the off duty Navy SEAL she's been flirting with) springs into action. They survive the kidnapping attempt, but end up marooned on a deserted island. Can they survive long enough to be rescued?

Well, if two people had to get stuck on a desert island, there's no better combo than a Navy SEAL with extensive survival training and a chef who recognizes local fish, fruit and nuts (and knows how to cook it). Because of this, they mostly survive shockingly well... with a few incidents of danger. They have a good give and take most of the time, and a lot of chemistry. While this is a fairly formulaic romantic suspense, it's still well-written and worth reading.

A riveting survival story where the hero and heroine don't only have to survive the savage kidnappers but also the unforgiving nature of the stranded island out there in the middle of nowhere.
This story took my breath away and had me on the edge with many dangers and threats the main characters faced during their time on the island. The tension is high as time just goes by and there is no way to escape, no way to find their way back to the civilization, no way to avoid each other and the burning attraction building between Cady and Logan.
Chef Cady Crenshaw is a tough and capable heroine who is not afraid to stand up for herself. She has sass and attitude but also sweetness and passion. She can be hard-headed yet there is a tender heart inside her that she guards with the stubborn exterior.
Navy SEAL Logan Starke knows more about survival than most. He is cool and calm under pressure, yet he is a passionate, kind, considerate man who takes care and protects those he cares about or are trusted to his care. His biggest challenge on the island is to stay professional and not to touch Cady like his heart, mind, and body are yearning to do.
The primitive surroundings make the flaming desire burning between Cady and Logan an intensely sensual game that puts them both on the edge. The heat factor is high, the sexual encounters are voluptuous, the hunger they have for each other just growing with each touch, as the devotion and admiration take root in their hearts.
Logan and Cady's fight for survival is a captivating and enthralling story. There are so many elements bringing the intensity to a new level, from the personal conflicts to the physical challenges of the island to the deathly threat of the pirates. I was glued to my kindle as every twist in the story brought a new challenge making it impossible to put the book down. The island and survival enticed me, as well as the budding relationship and the demands the environment put them under. I felt a deep connection to both Logan and Cady, even though I could not comprehend a couple of the tantrums Cady had.
A mesmerizing, intriguing, and intense story of endurance and survival in the most challenging circumstances. The allure of the attraction and desire is irresistible, even as the danger and deadly threat hide behind each and every corner

Risk averse chef by trade Cady Crenshaw does something completely uncharacteristic of herself, she convinces herself that she wants to have a one night stand. After all, the best way to get over someone is to get underneath someone else. And that someone else is named Logan Starke. Thank You Universe! A hot Navy Seal that's been on the radar for many of the single woman on board the cruise ship. They meet and talk and the signals are very clear as in let's take this back to my cabin.

They leave the onboard club together with every intention of slowly getting to know each other better in the biblical sense. Once they arrive at Logan's door they're attacked by unknown masked men. Logan is knocked on the head with a blunt object and thrown overboard and Cady is tied up and tossed into an awaiting raft. What the kidnappers don't count on is a very resilient Navy Seal. In order to save Cady, Logan must first save himself. Though groggy and disoriented, Logan knows his greatest chance of survival is to follow the kidnappers.

Surviving the ambush is just the first step of their arduous journey. Navigating their day-to-day survival is truly the beginning of their adventure together. Each day they survive brings them hope that they can find a way back to civilization without losing their lives or their hearts.

Cady is looking for a distraction while working as a chef on a cruise ship. She had her hear broken and is working on mending that and after meeting the gorgeous Logan Strake who is a navy seal might be the perfect distraction. Last thing she would've expected was to be kidnapped and saved by Logan only to be stranded on a deserted island.

I will admit as cheesy as the cover looks I really like it. Its pretty much what drawn me to check this book out in the first place. You know what this was a pretty great book. There was plenty going on in this book to keep me until the then. The endless amount of dangers that can happen to this duo was keeping at the edge of my seat wondering whats next for the two what else could possibly go wrong? and what could go wrong did go wrong. If it wasn't that there was that ever present attraction between the two and Logans stubbornness making that distance. It was enjoyable learning more about the two and seeing how they worked together and it was just an overall great book I really enjoyed it.

This starts off with a bang but has a really long and, for me, unexpected body. It's not an issue of saggy middle, it's the issue of who the enemy is. This is more of a survivor story where the enemy is nature, rather than :bad people:
And that's fine but was unexpected imo. If your took Jules Verne's Mysterious Island and wrote a fast romance in that world, this is sort of it. It was not what I expected from a category Navy SEAL RS.
It has its charming moments and we definitely get a good look into the couple's heads and for a change, the romance and sex don't seem ridiculously shoehorned (as they often alas do in RS. "Bad guys are after us! Lives are in danger! Immediate peril all around.! I.know, let's stop for sex now!") There is plenty of time here for the hero and heroine to get to know each other and develop their relationship.

I really enjoyed this one, from start to finish. It felt like I was reading a modern-day version of the Blue Lagoon, but with a lot more flavor and heat. And the main characters are way more interesting than the movie stars. I loved Cady's knowledge as a chef and all she offered to the story, not only with food but her cautious personality is something I can relate to and I liked how fierce and unafraid she was of speaking her mind.

Logan's military background made him intriguing. He had experienced so much in war and his strength and protectiveness were admirable, even though sometimes it made me cringe along with Cady when he would dive into danger.

I wouldn't say the story was suspenseful or action-packed through and through, but there were some thrilling moments, not only involving dangerous people, but the main characters' time on the island had its share of crazy. And their moments of vulnerability were both entertaining and frustrating.

Overall, great premise, wonderful writing that's fluid and fast. Both characters got on my nerves in little ways, but they still made me laugh and sympathize with them too. And I'm happy that by the end of the story they just let it all go and trust in each other. Another thing I have to mention is the setting. It was described subtly but nicely. It was as if I could smell the salty air, taste the seafood, and bathe in the waterfall along with them. It's just a good story that will certainly warm up your cold nights. I'm looking forward to learning about Logan's comrades as the series progresses.

Title: Stranded with the Navy SEAL

Series: Team Twelve Book #1
Stand Alone Title: yes
Author: Susan Cliff

Genre: Romance, Contemporary, Romantic Suspense

Blurb: Working on a cruise ship was supposed to be the perfect distraction for chef Cady Crenshaw. Instead, it made her the perfect target. Abducted and thrown overboard into foreign waters, she has only one shot at survival…and it comes at the hands of an irresistible ally.

Navy SEAL Logan Starke's protective instincts were locked and loaded the moment he met Cady at the ship's bar. When a violent struggle to take down her captors leaves Logan and Cady stranded on a deserted island, he leaps into rescue mode. But the hot sand and the even hotter attraction between them can't be denied…and temptation could be the deadliest threat yet.

Favorite quote(s)/excerpt(s): “You should take a picture of us and tell him you’re already on top of someone else.

“It’s like eating vegetables when you really want dessert.

Her mouth dropped open. He was really laying it all out there. “For me it’s the opposite.

“What do you mean?

“Sex with someone else is the vegetable. Without dessert.

It took him a second to process what she was saying. “Touching yourself is the dessert? The only dessert?

â€Ô¨±ð²õ.â€

“Maybe you’ve been choosing the wrong vegetables.

Thoughts: If you’re looking for a romance with something a little different, Stranded with the Navy SEAL is perfect. The book immediately caught my interest, with sparks galore between the main characters. It doesn’t take long for things to ramp up and the action to start and that’s where things take a new turn. Our characters wind up trapped on an island and forced to survive on their own. And not just for a day or two the story really gets in depth as our characters go into survivalist mode. The author obviously did some research along these lines, as our characters are quite ingenious and creative at times. They get to know each other, and their initial attraction takes on more intensity yet at the same times provide a struggle for our characters. Where you thought they would just give in and take advantage of their time together stranded on an island, instead things are much more complicated. I enjoyed the struggle and honestly found myself unable to put this book down. When I say that, I mean I literally stayed up in the middle of the night reading and could not stop.

Intriguing characters, captivating storyline.an ‘A all the way!

Wow! Another superb installment. I've meant to pick up a Susan Cliff book for awhile now, and I was not disappointed. In true Cliff style, we're given an action packed romance and two strong main characters.

The setting was epic. Stranded together on a beautiful polynesian island, sandy beaches, scary caves, picturesque waterfalls... Perfection.

The plot: Logan, a SEAL on leave, has been hired to gaurd the former president's daughter. He's got the cruise tickets and a job to do, except, it turns out there's been a change in the daughter's plans and Logan is on the cruise with no one to gaurd. But, someone thinks he's guarding the president's daughter. Logan and the cruise ship's beautiful chef Cady get jumped by pirates. Logan goes overboard, and Cady gets taken.

The characters: One of the reasons I loved to read Cliff pre-Cliff (when she wrote under a different name), is because her male characters aren't the go-to bossy alpha lothario. Logan is a strong "alpha" male character who is passionate, deep, and singularly focused on taking care of Cady. Cady, is not simply a damsel in distress. Sure, Logan rescues her, and guides her, but Cady pulls her weight. She becomes a strong team member; she is a strong female character who has many talents and is an integral part in their survival. Neither Logan or Cady are the cookie cutter go-to main character, it's what makes them more real, more relatable.

The romance: Another Cliff trademark is a romance that develops in a relatively short period of time, but doesn't feel rushed because of the circumstances. No cheating, no other lovers, a pure focus on the H/h. In this case, there's a lot of sexual frustration (maybe too much) and then it's all fireworks.

I highly recommend all of Susan Cliff's books. Her ideas/plots are well thought out and unique. Her characters are more than a pretty face and nice body. I do agree that her short staccato tempo can take some getting used to, but I like it. It's Cliff's voice coming through in her writing.

I doesn't matter who you voted for in 2016, Maya O'Brien is clearly supposed to symbolize Maya Obama as Logan's reason for being on the cruise ship. But the story has nothing to do with politics, and other than Maya's name, there's nothing in the story about the Obama's.

Cady has always plays it safe until she decides not to. What does that get her? Kidnapped and stranded on an island with sexy Navy Seal, Logan. Logan’s assignment, to protect the ex-President’s daughter, falls through so he’s stuck on a cruise ship to Tahiti. Not too bad of an assignment. He eyeballs Cady sitting at a bar. She eyeballs him back. The attraction is mutual. They chat, drink and dance then decide to head back to Logan’s room. Then things go downhill from there. Cady is kidnapped and Logan is thrown over the ship, assumed dead. Logan ends up rescuing Cady from her kidnappers in a case of mistaken identity but they end up stranded on a deserted island. Sounds dangerous and sexy, right? Not really.

I’m going to preface by saying that from the moment Logan and Cady landed on the deserted island I couldn’t help but think of the TV show Naked and Afraid. Everything they did reminded me of that show from finding food, shelter, and water, to making a fire and even the stubborn man who won’t listen to the woman because “Me man. Man know best attitude. Honestly, both characters frustrated me to no end and it prevented me from truly enjoying the adventure and romance.

Cady has issues from her past that causes her to play it extremely safe. But her wanting to be safe is also causing her to be stupid. Main case in point is that she kept telling Logan that he was an adrenaline junkie and that he seeks out danger. When in fact, he was saving her life and trying to figure out a way to get them off the island. How does that translate into wanting to face danger?! Logan is trying to make sure they don’t die on the island and this heifer is complaining about it.

Logan is a another story. He’s attracted to Cady but he doesn’t want to give in to the feelings because he sees her as an “assignment. Every physical move he makes, he apologizes afterwards. Calm down man! You’re on an island with a woman you were going to hook up with before the kidnapping!

Overall I enjoyed the story. Cady was annoying as hell and there were parts where I wanted Logan to leave her on the island. Cady wasn’t too stupid to live thank goodness but she was too annoying to deal with. She refused to see the bigger picture which was getting off the island.

A 5 star read.

Cady Crenshaw is a chef aboard a luxury cruise ship touring the South Pacific. She's also a close look alike former US President's adult daughter (think Obama). Navy SEAL Logan Starks is on semi light duty while he recovers from an injury and is assigned bodyguard detail for said daughter.

Daughter doesn't make it, and Logan spends time getting to know the intriguing Cady, who is recovering from a broken heart and a little stand offish. Bad guys grab Cady, though and throw Logan overboard. In the best Navy SEAL-He Man tradition, Logan swims after the captors, affects a rescue. The pair escape in a life raft and end up on a deserted island together. Alone.

Logan considers himself on-duty and fights their growing attraction as they fight to survive.Ìý Cady finds Logan hot, but focused and driven and she is unsure she wants a relationship with a military man. 6 weeks is a long time, though & they eventually give in. Can their love survive their circumstances? Will they be rescued in time? Will she allow herself to be happy with this career SEAL?

Susan Cliff story sucked me right in. There was a good balance of action & drama with the romance. Kudos to her and Harlequin for another well written story featuring a mixed race couple.

My only beef? I Immediately went in search of more by Susan Cliff but can't find anything.Ìý She's apparently a new author.

And she's going on my auto click list, for sure. I highly recommend.

I'm going to add a proviso before I review this book. I enjoy romance novels. However, I generally need romance AND something else. I like fantasy romance, sci-fi romance, regency or historical romance (sometimes). But standard contemporary romances usually bore me. And while this is listed an romantic suspense, and there is quite a lot dedicated to surviving on a deserted island, it's still basically just a contemporary romance. For 99.9999999% of the book there are only the two characters and the end goal is still the couple falling in love, accepting each other, getting married and having babies. (Must not forget the babies.) It's all very formulaic and not my jam.

I say all this so that those who truly enjoy contemporary romance can take my limp review with the grain of salt it deserves. I read this book because I won it and wanted to honor the gift with a review. I wouldn't have picked the book up otherwise.

Having said all that, I thought this book was fine. Cliff presented some realistic challenges to surviving on a deserted island, gave both characters some mild past trauma that effects their beliefs and behaviors, and both characters were likable. He wasn't an alpha a-hole and she wasn't there just to be saved (even if she was saved a lot). The sex was hot, but not gratuitous and both characters respected each other for and during it. For a book without the genre garnish I usually prefer, I can't complain.

If you liked "Castaway," you might like this story, too. Instead of one person stranded on an island, you'll get to know two. Cady Crenshaw has signed on as a chef on the cruise ship. Navy SEAL Logan Starke is on the ship because his job to guard the President's daughter was cancelled at the last minute, but he was already on board, so he stays, figuring he'll take a bit of a vacation.

The meeting of Cady and Logan at the bar one evening turns into a kidnapping, where Logan is knocked overboard and Cady and taken off the ship, thinking she is the President's daughter. Logan follows the kidnappers and manages to get Cady away from them, but in doing so, they end up on an island with no real way off. The raft that dumps them there is nearly destroyed against the rocks rimming the island.

What follows is a tale of survival in which Logan's skills as a SEAL and Cady's knowledge of food becomes central to their ability to stay alive. But then the kidnappers find them. What happens next makes for an exciting denoument to an adventure that includes a combustible attraction each can't ignore, but will make things much worse if they act on that chemistry.

I received this one via a Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ Giveaway, and was excited to get into it, but the beginning of this one really put me off simply because of the superficiality of the emotions involved. It wasn't insta-love, but it was such strong insta-lust that it felt really heavy-handed, and not particularly engaging. This, followed by rushed action, just started the book off on a bad note for me.

It did get better as the author slowed things down, and the characters and their emotions became more believable and more developed, but with the characters being pretty simple and with the action that did come up being incredibly rushed, I didn't engage with this as much as I would have liked to. It was handled with more finesse than the other few books I've read where a couple has been stuck on an island, but that primarily came across in the detail put into food and survival aspects. As a fast escape of a read, it wasn't bad, but I would have liked there to be a bit more to it.

On the whole, I'm not sorry to have stumbled across it, but I probably won't continue with the series.

This was a good read with a very interesting storyline. This wasn’t your usual bodyguard type of storyline where he fell head over heels in love with the person that he was protecting from the bad guys. Okay maybe it was but he was not hired to protect her but he took his profession very seriously and when she was kidnapped he knew he needed to rescue her and keep her safe. Navy SEAL Logan never in a million years thought he would be stranded in a deserted island with a beautiful woman that he couldn’t or should I say shouldn’t touch. Then there was Cady a woman that never took risks but that night she decided that she was going have a one-night stand. Only that things didn’t turn out the way she wanted. Now they are alone on an island where they hope to be saved by someone or maybe the kidnappers would come back. They are going to have to find a way to stay alive, find food and be civil to one another.

I totally recommend this read!!

'Stranded with the Navy SEAL' was such a riveting read. Its captivating page-turning plot was filled with intrigue, suspense, survival instincts, humor, and romance. Moreover, the protagonists, Cady and Logan, were ideally suited for each other and gushed with chemistry. With the evil kidnappers, the stonefish, the tiger shark, the mosquitoes, and the sea kraits, Eiao Island, the main setting, was jumping with excitement and action galore. Oh my goodness! I really liked the enthralling narrative.

For a romance book, it had a lot more alternative action rather than sexual action. It read very fast and there wasn’t any lulls that I was anticipating (I’m new to the romance game). The ending was pretty sappy, but, hey, that’s Harlequin Romance, right?

Enjoyed the book about Cady a chef on a cruise ship and Logan a Navy seal on a break. She is kidnapped and he rescues her, but they get stranded on a deserted island. Sparks fly as they try to survive until they can be found.

Fast-paced, tense, and relentlessly dishy, Cliff's novel about two sexy people stranded on a South Pacific island never failed to disappoint. I loved the conclusion (no spoilers) and will eagerly read the follow-up.

I liked this book for the most part. My favorite parts were where Cady and Logan learned to survive on the island once they washed ashore. They did pretty well as castaways. The actual romance was okay, but I didn't totally buy it.

This is a good story. Cliff takes the basic boy and girl thrown together story and adds enough realistic details of life and survival on a deserted isle to set it apart. A fun read.
