Is the first thing I read by Roxane Gay, don't really have words to describe how good it is. Read it on Rookie.

This is a beautiful story, I just wish hers was rarer and his propagated the earth. Perfect read for a quick cry followed by a long smile.

I want to write exactly like Roxane Gay. She writes in such short sentences that read so simple BUT SO beautiful.

I can't believe I never wrote a review for this? It made me cry, it made my heart grow three sizes, etc. Usually I read dark stories, so I turned this over and over in my head wondering if I'd missed anything sinister. Nope. It's just lovely.
