Is Dylan hunting Casey to prosecute her or protect her?
Casey Cox is still on the run, fleeing prosecution for a murder she didn’t commit. Dylan Roberts—her most relentless pursuer—is still on her trail, but his secret emails insist that he knows the truth and wants to help her. He’s let her escape before when he had her in his grasp, but trust doesn’t come easily.
As Casey works to collect evidence about the real murderers, she stumbles on another unbearable injustice: an abused child and a suicidal man who’s also been falsely accused. Casey risks her own safety to right this wrong and protect the little girl from her tormenters. But doing so is risky and just may result in her capture—and if she’s captured, she has no doubt she’ll be murdered before she ever steps foot in a jail.
In this riveting sequel to the USA Today bestseller If I Run, evil lurks, drawing Casey out of the shadows . . . but there is light shining in the darkness. Is Dylan a provision from the God who loves her, or another heartache yet to happen?
Terri Blackstock is a New York Times best-seller, with over seven million books sold worldwide.. She has had over thirty years of success as a novelist.
Terri spent the first twelve years of her life traveling in a U.S. Air Force family. She lived in nine states and attended the first four years of school in The Netherlands. Because she was a perpetual “new kid, her imagination became her closest friend. That, she believes, was the biggest factor in her becoming a novelist. She sold her first novel at the age of twenty-five, and has had a successful career ever since.
In 1994 Terri was writing romance novels under two pseudonyms for publishers such as HarperCollins, Harlequin, Dell and Silhouette, when a spiritual awakening prompted her to switch gears. At the time, she was reading more suspense than romance, and felt drawn to write thrillers about ordinary people in grave danger. Her newly awakened faith wove its way into the tapestry of her suspense novels, offering hope instead of despair. Her goal is to entertain with page-turning plots, while challenging her readers to think and grow. She hopes to remind them that they’re valued by God and that their trials have a purpose.
Casey Cox is still on the run and she going to finally stop running in the third book!
Casey was charged with a crime she didn't commit. It turns out there are some dirty people in the book that are trying to place the blame on Casey. It seems these people have been killing people for quite some time. I sort of know some of the things these murderers are doing but not totally. I don't know the whole reasoning behind everything and the main person calling all of the shots.
Dylan is a PI that has been working for the family who's son was killed and blamed on Casey, they think it was her as well. The evidence does point right at her but . . .
Dylan starts to believe Casey in the first book and he shows that more in this second book. He knows who the real killers are and is working on bringing them down. Casey is still running but helping him a long the way.
Casey also finds some people and children to help in the book that are having troubles of their own. She doesn't succeed in helping one which is really sad. It was a really bad situation and I felt sorry for the person. Casey did this in the first book as well, she has a good heart and gets sidetracked along the way to help others.
Casey's sister tells her to quit doing stuff for others and try to get her named cleared because her whole family is in danger. These are ruthless killers that don't care who they kill.
I want to find out what the end game is going to be in the last book.

I honestly don't remember anything from the first book but I still enjoyed this one. I think it does a good job of standing on its own. I was kind of confused by all the religion in this one and I don't remember it being in the first, but maybe I'm mistaken. I don't think it's necessarily wrong to have religion be something mentioned or explored in your book but I'm not sure it really added anything to the plot and it's just not my cup of tea to begin with. I did enjoy the pacing and the book is really easy to read. Casey is kind of annoying for inserting herself into situations she didn't need to though.
and DONE! I LOVED this sequel. Equal if not better than If I Run. Terri Blackstock!!! The faith moments in this one brought me to tears and spoke to my heart like only words from the Holy Spirit can. Beautiful. Incredible. On to If I'm Found!
This book did in fact know that I had plans to do a 5k1day today on my novel, right? Because if it does, IT DOESN'T CARE.
Argh.
Full review:
Best book of the year so far. Yes, I'm aware that it's not even the end of January. No, I don't care. Why do you ask?
The darkness in this book was pressing, heartbreaking, and painful. There was one point where I reeled away from the page and shook my head because I couldn't believe what had just happened. I actually started skimming because I was so eager to find the part where there had been some kind of book-keeping error and this atrocity had not happened. But it did. It did and it was heartbreaking. And then the fallout. The tremors that are still shaking the world around Casey and Dylan hurt me so much. BUT IT WAS A GOOD PAIN.
There was so much hope. Normally the second book in a trilogy is the darkest, and I'd definitely agree that that's true of this series as well as any other. But there's so much light and hope shining through the cracks. I love that Dylan refused to let his PTSD define who he is. It affects him and it keeps him up at night, it brings him back time and again to the shrink, it chases him to support groups--but he is more than his PTSD and he IS NOT his PTSD. This was so powerful.
My memory of this one is already fading, running together with the third one, because while this is probably my favorite of the three I read it sandwiched between the two in the space of less than 24 hours, and so it's not as clear. But I still loved it.
No real content review this time around cause I don't remember it all. But since this is a murder mystery, there's still a lot of violence, and the idea of suicide is toyed with more than in the first (although not suicide by either MC.) More murders take place (I think.) There's also a (probably sexually) abused little girl. One of the villains is frequently drunk, and Dylan gives him a ride home a couple of times. There's some kissing this time around, although it's all sweet and not detailed. The faith aspect is still shining through, even stronger than in the first book. And I love it.
Overall 5 glimmering stars and I 100% recommend this series!!!!!!!!!
Story Rating: 9/10 Christian Faith Rating: 3/3 I enjoyed the second book in this series. I loved the continuing story following Casey and Dylan but I also appreciated that there was a side mystery that wrapped up within this book. The faith content is strong and plays a large part in the character development.
Reread April 28, 2025: Just as thrilling, exciting and amazing as the first time I read it! This trilogy is heart pounding, heart breaking and heart warming! I highly recommend!
Again, another fantastic, action filled, romantic suspense! I loved it and devoured it! I can’t wait to read the third one! I love how Casey always helps people along the way! She is so selfless! And how she helps Cole. She is a beautiful character! Cole really is a good man just falsely accused of doing wrong things! Poor, Poor Cole! 😭 My heart broke for him! I love seeing Casey and Dylan’s relationship grow and deepen! It’s unlike more love stories I’ve read and that’s one of the reasons I love it! I love how Dylan witnesses to her and helps her grow in her faith! “You’re the best person I know. is one of my favorite quotes by Dylan to Casey. 😍 I also love how the Terri Blackstock ends with Philippians 4:8 in her author’s note! 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow this book was a wild ride and I loved it. Even though it was a reread for me, I was still sooo invested in the story. The suspense parts were still suspenseful even though I technically knew what was going to happen. I cant wait to get to book three 🤗
This is the second book in the Casey Cox "If I Run" series and I really like this series. However, I am not liking the fact that this poor girl has been running for two books now. Can somebody please give this girl a break? Ha! JK Actually, I would really like to see that Keegan guy get his just desserts - what an A$$.
This was definitely a suspenseful book. There were plenty of hold your breath moments going on. Car chases, jumping out windows to escape, child abuse, drug dealers with guns, cars being run off the road, innocents being brought in for questioning, disguises, changing hotels nightly - sometimes twice a night, etc. I mean we are talking some serious action going on in this book. The only thing I didn't like - there's a book 3. Casey is still on the run. However, if the author keeps the suspense and the drama going like she has - it will be worth the wait!
Thanks to Zondervan Fiction for approving my request and to Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.
If I'm Found was a great sequel to If I Run. I absolutely loved the first book and was eager to pick up this book to see what would happen next. I finally got around to it and it was a good read. I feel like it moved a bit more slowly than the first book, but that wasn't a bad thing.
I liked how there was so much danger and suspense in the story. It seemed like she was never truly safe and needed to keep moving, which definitely brought some drama.
I loved both of the main characters and I cannot wait to read the final book to see how it all ends. I recommend this series (so far) to fans of suspense.
*I received a complimentary eBook copy of this book for my honest review. As always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
“Jesus never promised to erase believer’s burdens, but he did vow to help carry them.
Wow! This book! Intense, strong elements of faith and action packed. #unputdownable No middle book lull here. This was fantastic! I will be picking up the final book now.
I do like the characters and the writing but I'm starting to feel like this trilogy could have been a single, tighter, stand-alone novel without all the extra plot lines.
Wow! This book is amazing! Terri Blackstock is a favorite author of mine. I believe I have read almost every one of her books. And, this series is my favorite of all!! There are several reasons why. I love the first person. It works. The characters are well developed. They are so likeable. No, lovable. I love the hero and heroine. The dialogue between Casey and Dylan is believable and you feel what they are feeling. You understand what they are going through. Blackstock did a fantastic job with this. I am rooting for them. I want to see them through all of those horrific events that are going on in their lives. The suspense of not knowing what is going to happen next is mind blowing. I kept turning the pages rapidly because I am on the edge of my seat. Then, she brings it down a notch for me to catch my breath with a precious inspirational message. Being thankful in the little things going on in Casey's life. God is there in the little things as well as the big things. God is opening her eyes to what is around her. And, lastly, the sweet romance budding between Dylan and Casey is making me so happy I want to do a happy dance. This is an adrenaline laced book with precious moments sprinkled in throughout. I highly recommend this book. I am definitely looking forward to the finale, which I am sure will be again...Aaaamazing!! *I was given a copy of this book by the publisher through Netgalley and I was under no obligation to leave a review.
I almost skipped reading this one because I had such a hard time getting into the present-tense narration in the first book (my least favorite POV). I was pleased to discover that the mechanics flow much more smoothly in this book than in the first, and I only actually noticed the present tense view a few times. The rest of the time I was gulping the story down by the chapter, on the edge of my seat just to see what was going to happen next.
I have to say, I found it WAY too short! I loved the payoff when Casey begins to seriously consider giving faith a chance, and I was rooting for Dylan and Casey to meet up and fight this out together almost from page one. Even apart, you can sense how well they are matched and anticipate how the chemistry will spark in the very first moment they meet. I love how Casey's drive to set right the injustices of the world have her stopping in her tracks to risk herself in defense of another family, another person being framed for what they didn't do.
Anyway, I keep hoping that the words of the last book will flow out very easily for Mrs. Blackstock, and that somehow the release date for book 3 gets moved up a bit!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a review copy.
Once again Terri Blackstock gives readers a fast paced adventure. Casey Cox is running for her life from crooked cops who killed her father. She is a smart and resource girl and it's fun to watch her get out of scraps. She also has a big heart to help the less fortunate.
I love the secondary story line with Dylan's PTSD. It's been eye opening to see what many of our vets go through. It's also sad.
The story - AMAZING! Lots of action as Blackstock looks at situations that happen too often in life. And how our system often persecutes innocent people while guilty ones seem to get away with it.
If you read book one of the series you will definitely want to follow what happens next with Casey.
“With the practice of intentional gratitude, there is no time for regrets about the past, or worries about the future. There is only thankfulness for the here and now.
What a fantastic sequel to this addicting fast moving series. I think this was even better than the first book. I just love Casey as a main character and Dylan. The raw emotional connections you can feel through each new trial as they try and figure out how to get through this together while both fighting personal demons on their own. This is the type of series you will not want to put down and it will have the reader fumbling through the pages trying to find out what will happen next. Highly recommend! Looking forward to the final book.
This book is part of a series and while I never read book one, it really didn’t hinder too much as I dove into this one.
This is the first time I’ve read this author and she’s very good at the intrigue and suspense. The pace of the story was very fast and for me there was never a dull moment. There is always something happening and plenty of twists to keep you wondering what was going to happen next.
I loved the character of Dylan. He is caring and understanding. His belief in Casey was refreshing as well as his belief in God.
Casey was a kind and compassionate woman who believed fiercely in caring for others. She was strong and intuitive and I can see where her and Dylan would make the perfect couple. Hint Hint
This book had a few surprises in it that kept me intrigued throughout the whole story. This is one author that I will definitely read again. Plenty of detail, suspense, and interesting turn of events made this a wonderful read. The bad news is we have to wait for book three for a complete conclusion!
4.5 Stars! I absolutely loved the first installment in this series when it released last year, and I have been eagerly anticipating this second book! I will admit that it did take me a while to get into this book, as it kind of felt like it was moving a tad slowly, but once I hit the halfway mark the pace just took off and I hated to set it down from that point on! This was such a great sequel, I never knew what would happen next. I loved the development of the characters, as well as the advancement of the storyline from the first book. I always love it when I learn things from books and I was thrilled to learn several new things about prayer, as well as intentional gratitude from this book, those parts of the book really touched my heart and I know for a fact that I will most definitely be turning to those sections on the days when I need a burst of perspective and inspiration! While I think the first book in the series is probably my favorite so far, this one is so good too, I became totally emotionally invested and hated to see it end! And yes, in case you were wondering, it does end on a cliffhanger much like the first book, which made me all the more eager to read the third book, but if you don't like cliffhangers you may want to wait until the third book releases next year so that you can read them back to back! Overall, this is a wonderful second book in the If I Run series, which I highly recommend, it is a must read for fans of Christian suspense. I would definitely suggest reading this series in order. I can't wait for the release of the next book!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through BookLook bloggers. No review required. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.
This book was AMAZING!!! Terri Blackstock did a great job! I love the budding romance between Casey and Dylan. I was feeling very emotional when I finished If I'm Found because I was wanting more. This is one of the reason why I don't like series because I have to wait and I don't like to wait haha. I am REALLY looking forward to the finale, which I am sure will be.....amazing again!
I highly recommend If I'm found to anyone who like thriller/suspense! You can read this as a stand alone but you would understand this sequel a lot better if you read the first one. :)
Thank you to Netgalley and Zondervan letting me this in exchange for my review.
Terri Blackstock masterfully weaves a fugitive story with compelling, realistic, twists.
I love detective, mystery and suspense novels. But this was over-the-top good. You can tell that Terri knows her stuff. Nothing in the novel shouts amateur or is questionable. She has been in the field! She also touches on real issues like PTSD or amputees and the real day-to-day life for them which I LOVE. This speaks diversity and awesomeness :D
Terri did an amazing job at tying in a real genuine relationship with God, despite the fact that bad things are going on around Casey, our main character. I loved this about Terri's writing and the fact that she didn't shy away from Christ was very admirable!
This book is marketed for the YA market but is more suitable for Adult or NA. I found that throughout the audiobook I kept imagining Casey as older, maybe 26 or 27. I also thought the male protagonist was in his 30's or so.
Also, there are a few trigger warnings here for content and I think, depending on age, this may be disturbing to some as it deals particularly with child abuse and intentional murder. Nothing is overly detailed but it is a known thing throughout the book. I wanted to be up front for those readers sensitive to this. I know, depending on how it is written, I can be. This book had disturbing issues, but definitely realistic fiction here and nothing more than someone trying to aid in a very bad situation. Therefore, it didn't bother me.
I could not put this book down! If I’m Found, the second book in Terri Blackstock’s If I Run Series, is definitely a page-turner! Casey Cox is still on the run (book two continues from the cliffhanger at the end of book one), and is trying desperately to keep her mind moving as she figures out what to do and where to go next. If I’m Found travels deeper into her story and adds some new twists as she continues to try and prove her innocence and bring the real killers to justice. This book ends on another cliffhanger, leaving you to excitedly grab the third and final book in this series, which I certainly plan on doing! I highly recommend this series!
A fantastic read! The high stakes and the question of what will happen next made this book (and this series thus far) so bingeable and hard to put down. Admittedly, the pushing of the envelope in certain scenes did make me frustrated at times, but it also increased the tension in a compelling way. Overall, If I'm Found was a riveting and engaging suspense novel that kept me on the edge of my seat and hooked until the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Once again I was left with my heart in my throat, and the wanting for justice to take place immediately, but alas it and life really don’t happen that way. This is the second book in this series, and yes the first is as good as the second, and now I anticipate the third, however they can stand alone, but you will want to know what our girl with the big heart did in the previous book. Can you imagine looking at the face of evil and yet these are the people that you are supposed to rely on when there is trouble, members of law enforcement. Makes me so sad that the people you are supposed to trust are so untrustworthy, and I do realize that these are the rare few, but does one apple spoil the bushel, lets sure hope no. All the while I was reading this, I kept wanting justice for all, and yet for some it does come to late, how very sad. I am really pulled into this story, and highly recommend the first two books in this series, you won’t be disappointed, and you will be waiting for book three along with me. I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Zondervan and was not required to give a positive review.
