In fact, we didn't found anything new, only confirmation that was indicated in the previous story. Maybe it would be better if I did not even read this part, because certain things disappointed me and made me cry.

Favorite Quote:

Salvatore was not the most attractive man; in fact, he was what we would have said back in the village, a man who should have been drowned at birth. Short, fat, and sweaty

My Review:

This was not a stand-alone volume and although I had read and enjoyed all previous books of this series, I struggled with and battled my way through this melancholic and gritty installment. But holy bloodbath Batman, it was just not my cup of tea The narrative was well beyond my comfort zone for carnage and I was heartbroken by the callous indifference and brutality displayed by several of the main characters. And there were far too many assholes! The overall tone of the story heavily tipped the scale to the negative range of emotion with a near constant thrum of tension and angst, as well as anger, resentment, and copious servings of sorrow.

I will take personal responsibility for a major part of my discontent being due to my own faulty memory. It would have made a significant difference and been much easier to follow and remain engaged had I recently read or reread the previous books to refresh my recall of past events, as I had forgotten far too many salient details and story points. My limited pea brain did not retain several chunks of the data stream required to fully grasp the continuing tale, important information and critical details that unfortunately were not recapped. The storylines were intriguing yet complicated and at times I was quite frustrated and nearing the point of itchy exasperation, much as I would if attending an advanced physics course where the concepts being discussed resided in a stratosphere far and above my level of comprehension, yet Ms. Podger’s word voodoo held me hostage and I couldn’t stop reading. If I had a magic wand or Hermione’s Time-Turner, I would go back and start the beloved series from the beginning and skip over the disturbingly brutal images, which I’m sure would be a vastly more enjoyable experience. Lesson learned.

Fallen Angel, Part 5 was never meant to be. In fact FA4 wasn't meant to be, either! But Robert Stone is my go-to. He's the constant when things get a little too mad in my head, he's my comfort blankie, the zone I need to be in when I need calm. And when that happens, he gently talks to me - now, doesn't that just sound like I've gone barmy again? ha ha

This isn't a review, obviously, and before you comment, GR actively encourages authors to use this facility to comment on their own books. So, I'm using this to recommend FA5 to you as a reader of the series - just in case you've missed any announcements on its release.

I do want to warn you, readers, that this is a book from Robert and Rocco's point of view. Until now, unless you've read the accompanying novels, you've heard from Brooke. You miss all the 'behind the closed door' stuff that Robert really gets up to, those things he doesn't tell Brooke about. Why does he do that? Because that's real in his world. Be prepared, readers, there are parts that are not pretty ;)

There is a pre-order available and to thank readers of the series, this pre-order is at 99p/99c. It will stay that price for release day, then I will be instructing retailers to revert to full price of £3.99/$3.99.

Grab your copy now, friends, and spend some time with Robert Stone and Rocco Sartorri.

This has taken me a couple of days to write because OMG this book is so good and it’s taken me this long to process.

This has to be one of my most favourite series and I can’t get enough of these books. Though after the last book I was not sure where the author could’ve gone but she has absolutely smashed out the park with this one.

This book is full of oh my God moments and oh my God how could you do that moments. There are parts of the book that had me sobbing and then parts of this book that had me biting my nails to know what happened next. I understand the reason for some of the decisions the author made but they still make me cry.

This book made me want to go all misery on the author and lock her up now until the next books written. I so can’t wait for the next one.

If you read this series you need to read this book if you haven’t read the series you need to read the others before you do so.

Immersing myself into the world of Tracie Podger’s Fallen Angels was like returning home. The ease at which the story flows from Fallen Angel Part 4 where it left off is seamless. Rocco has long since been a favourite of mine but, his story now tied into that of Robert completely, makes for gripping reading. In my opinion FA5 is the most ‘mafia of all the books. It still has the romance but the bigger part of the story is filled with intrigue, violence and danger. There was nothing I didn’t love about the story. There is drama, double-crossing, despicable deeds and also downright heartbreak which altogether make FA5 one of the most compelling stories I’ve read this year. Tracie has knocked it out of the park.

Wow, I so did not see this storyline coming. Get out the chalkboard and start tallying bad guys and bodies. I loved this story, especially hearing Rocco tell the story of his life away from Evelyn. The characters are well developed, the plot intricate, and the reader is pulled into the action. Hoping there is more to this saga coming in the future.

I can’t believe she did that. I swear she did. If you don’t want to find out what she did, don’t carry on reading.

They're DEAD! There is no coming back from that. She might as well have reached in and ripped my heart out. Who’s dead? Well, that I am not telling you. Just be prepared to mourn some of your favourite characters. It’s been a few days since I finished reading this instalment in what has been a phenomenal series, and honestly I still can’t get over it. I mean I understand that someone had to pay, someone was definitely going to die, but why, for the love of God why them.

There can never be anyone like Robert Stone. His character captivated me just as it did Brooke from book one. This has truly been an awesome ride of love, hate, violence, gentleness, sexiness and frankly scary at times, but so, so good.

There’s a war coming that much is clear. I hate it, I don’t want there to be. I want everyone to have a happily ever after, but that only happens in fairy tales, and people this is no fairy tale.

I love the way this story has been set out hearing the events of past and present from two very powerful men. It certainly gets the juices flowing.

Out of all the book series I have read and loved it’s this one that I don’t want to be over, ever. I know that’s a tall order, but it’s my wish for the remaining characters to take me on a never ending journey of all things mafia, Italy and of course sexy times for me to smile about.

If you love mafia romance and have never even read book one. I encourage you to pick it up today. You will be in for an awesome ride that you will not want to get off. For all of the readers who have already read the previous books in this series, well hold onto your knickers and your heart because sh*t got real.

After reading this series 4 years ago, I was so excited when Tracie announced another book. But it did have me wondering where she could take the story. Part 4 was nicely wrapped up, and your mind was left to wonder what the characters would be up to.
But this story didn't disappoint. It threw us straight into the story, straight into the characters. I felt like I had never left their world.
Through the other books we have had Brooke's POV but with this book it was Robert's and it was so nice and refreshing to have his POV. There was always stuff he kept from Brooke, but with this book we got everything. The good, the bad and the ugly.
The story had me captivated from the first page until the last. It took me on a roller coaster of emotions, some I'm still going through 3 days after reading the book. There were some shockers thrown in there, stuff I never thought the author would do.
Robert is a character that has grown throughout the series but he is just as fantastic as the first time we meet him.
I can not wait for the next book.
One of my all time favourite series'!

This series of books and the characters amongst the pages have a special place in my heart. They feel like mia famiglia (my family), so to get another story fills my heart with joy.

I enjoyed getting more of Rocco's story, him filling in some of the gaps from his missing years. But it was when we touched base with Robert and what was happening in his life in present day that we see the effects of the past. Just when Roberts life seems to settle down, ghosts from the past come back to haunt him. My heart broke towards the end of the story, I sobbed; and I have not done that with a book for a while. If truth be told I still have a massive hangover from the story, I want, no I need more.

This book left me feeling distraught, sad, mad and empty!! I have this need to know more about Robert and Brooke and their lives after all that has happened!
Tracie Podger is an amazing author, that knows how to pull you from the very beginning of the book. So many twist and turns and the emotions deep from within!
I highly recommend this series but first you need to start from the beginning to understand Robert and his life!

Wow this book!!!!
When I found out Tracie was writing another installment of this series I knew it would be fantastic and she didn’t disappoint.I have loved these characters from the very first book.Robert Stone will blow you away with his passion and love for Brooke, his ruthlessness and raw power. This story has everything …is everything.
Told by two powerful dominant men we go from the present to the past as we learn how Rocco was shaped into the force of nature he is now,how his life was shaped and changed by events he had no control over, how he fought back to regain his family and power. His story is heartbreaking and touching, raw and gritty violent and bloody.Robert faces new challenges, new enemies and danger. He will stop at nothing to protect those he loves. When tragedy strikes(I cant believe Tracie did this!!!) he shows no mercy,no forgiveness and embarks on a path of revenge like never before.
Im still on a book hangover..I loved it !!It will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, twists and turns and definitely a few drop dead surprises just to keep you on your toes.Robert Stone is a man like no other he grabbed my heart from book one,the Fallen Series is my go to read that ill never tire of.As we reach the end of book 5 I don’t want to let go of this world, these characters I want to read more.experience more of Roberts world.Brilliant read from start to finish!

I would like to thank Tracie Podger for writing a brilliant installment to Fallen Angel.

Robert Stone has just found the father he never thought he had. Rocco Sartorri has just met his son for the 1st time in years. What happens when these 2 meet up and work together?

Well, when we thought Fallen Angel 4 was the last installment, Tracie Podger seems to throw a spanner in the works with this installment. In this installment it's based on Robert and Rocco's accounts of their lives. The past 30 years for Rocco and the now with Robert. We see Evelyn and Rocco come back together again, we see what Father and Son can really achieve together and we see a family torn apart because of the family feuds of Italy and DC. Now I can't wait to see what happens in the next part of this Fallen Angel series.

This series is by far one of my ALL TIME favourites and the characters are ones you will never forget.

Tracie Podger has 100% outdone herself with this novel. Mindblowingly brilliant, you will be gasping and feeling a gauntlet of emotions after you have finished. Shock, anger, fear, and heartache.

Written in a way that you will not be able to put it down (Trust me, I read it in a day), this is simply an intense, dramatic and suspenseful read that will keep you guessing and turning the page.

A TOP READ of 2018 so far, this is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED story amd series.

FIVE MINDBLOWN STARS.

It's not very often I get destroyed by a book, but this one, it killed me. Having read the Fallen Angel series alot ( it's my go to series when in a book slump), I've come to love the characters and it hurts when that balance is disturbed. I really couldn't foresee the direction the storyline was going so was blindsided, so so blindsided.

So I'm summary, if you are a fan of this series, read it (with wine, tissues, chocolate or what ever you need to get through the emotions this book brings out in you).

Mrs Podger, you've smashed another home run out of the park.

Spoilers ahead!

I can't believe it has come this far in the series! I feel like I've been carrying Brooke and Robert around for years. They're one of my favorite couple's! They have been through so much and it feels as if it's never ending for them and it's so heartbreaking.

I loved that they adopted Gerry and a part of me hopes that Brooke will get pregnant some how so Robert can have maybe a daughter. I hope that Gerry doesn't take over "the family business" he's too precious.

My heart continually breaks for Travis who just can't catch a break and just can't seem to find his happy ever after. He needs to move.to Italy, find a good, sweet and shy girl who can teach him Italian and give him everything he needs to heal and a mother for his Son.

Losing Evelyn was absolutely devastating. I cried at her loss and Robert losing his Father as well. I'm upset that the Katrina story didn't go further. I feel as if they could have dealt with her after the baby was born. We didn't need to prove that Robert was "hard" but maybe had shown some.form of mercy other than death.

But all in all I have to say that I am going to continue the series to see what's in store for them and pray it has a happier ending-ish. I love them too much to stop now

Wow. By the time I got to this book, I was enjoying the story. By the time I got to the end of this book, I couldn't wait to dig into Book 6.

The editing is far better in this book and although my pet peeve of British terms used by Americans is still there, especially being used by Brooke, it is done less or maybe I'm just numb.

The story of Robert in Italy gives this series a whole new dimension and I love it. And I like the realism that Ms. Podger added to their marriage, since there's no way that Brooke would 100% agree with Robert in this book, so a dose of reality is a good thing.

The book is extraordinary. The characters - all of them - are well developed, well told. The story is real and feels authentic - the love of two very strong people is never nice and easy. Never. And Ms. Podger wrote it in just the right way. Loved it. Looking forward to Book 6.

Good!

When I heard part five was being released I was excited, because I loved this series. I was sceptical to see where it would go, because it was so long ago since I finished part four. However, it did take me a few chapters to get into this story, but, once I hit the half way mark I was hooked in. I definitely preferred the story when Robert was back to his roots, fighting for his family, working out things in his head. Now, that bloody ending...I didn't know wether to jump into my kindle and grieve with the characters, or throw the kindle off the wall. Tracie certainly put a spanner in the works with this book, and I can't see it ending here. It can't end here. Hint hint.

What a rollercoaster ride

Well ms. Podger has done it again.
This had me on the edge of my seat. The bloodshed and carnage seemed almost real. I could feel my heart in my mouth. .
Robert and Brooke are in Italy with Rocco, Roberts biological father. Rocco has given Robert his organisation to run so Rocco can semi retire to be with his beloved Evelyn.
While in Italy Robert recieves some photos, after telling Rocco, Rocco decides to tell Robert the story of his life.
The writing is graphic and precise.
A great read.

Robert and Brooke return in Fallen Angel part 5 but being told from the view point of Robert this time giving you an in depth feeling into his feelings and emotions both through his work and home relationships.

We focus on how the family manage to split their time between Italy and the United States to ensure business runs smoothly, until tragedy strikes throwing Robert and everyone around him into turmoil.

How does Robert react? What does this do to Brooke and Robert's relationship?

Jaw dropping moments, tears and emotions galore in this book wondering what is next for everyone.

Oh boy! What a power house of a story this one is. Lies, betrayal, death and heartache, it's full on and non stop. A new player emerges to add to the problems and twists. More of what happened to Rocco when 'he died', so many underhand deals that cause so much pain. I really felt for our main family in this one, others have been tearful but honestly this pulled everyone in so many directions I nearly lost track. What a series, the author has definitely seen some crime movies to add to her vivid imagination to conjure up all these different scenarios. Amazing read.

Excellent continuation of an amazing series.

Honestly this one hurt, I cried real tears, my heart hurts. A lot. But it was so worth it! Let's be honest if you've reached this point then clearly you're invested. You know what to expect you know who these characters are. But there's still so much you don't know.
