This was insane and I loved it.

In the seventh book of the Silver Valley P.D. miniseries, the Pennsylvania town is once again the center of unlawful activity, and stopping it is the goal of two individuals. Though their initial reasons for keeping the corruption from spreading may have been different, the couple are determined to see no more people become victims because of greed. The Trail Hikers agent soon finds his concern for an ordinary citizen is very personal, but he knows his focus must remain on the Russian mob. Geri Krotow cleverly blends dangerous escapades with emotional dilemmas to create an enthralling romantic suspense story. SNOWBOUND WITH THE SECRET AGENT kept my interest during every perilous adventure and heartfelt moment.
After trying to stop an unknown person from breaking into the Silver Valley library which she runs, Portia DiNapoli unintentionally becomes a target of a Russian criminal. When she is then saved from almost certain death by Trail Hikers agent Kyle King, they discover both want the once peaceful town to not be a key location for the foreign mob’s illegal dealings. With his knowledge of taking down those who prey on the innocent and her wish to feel safe in her hometown, Kyle and Portia try to put an end to at least one aspect of local crime. But not giving in to their growing desire is going to be exceedingly difficult.
Never knowing when something dangerous would occur kept me totally captivated with SNOWBOUND WITH THE SECRET AGENT. When organized crime moves into an area, its members can be ruthless and not care who gets hurt as long as their objectives are met. Portia inadvertently puts herself in harm’s way, and Kyle feels her safety is his responsibility. A dedicated operative who is an expert at undercover work, he never lets a mission become personal. But something about the spirited librarian calls to him, and he cannot keep from being worried. The reactions of both characters are always very genuine, and I believed in what was happening to them. They are compassionate people, and it shows in how they respond to the needs of others.
When any jeopardy took place in the story, I never knew what the outcome would be and often felt anxious for Kyle and especially Portia. Ms. Krotow gave them lots of obstacles, and what they decided during the challenging situations could greatly impact their lives along with countless others. The latest Silver Valley P.D. story is an intriguing addition to the miniseries. Rating - 4.5 Stars

I love a good action book with romance tossed in. I really enjoyed this book. It is part of a series but I read it as a standalone. Maybe I should go read the books before this one. Portia is the town librarian. She notices someone is trying to break in the back door of the library. She faces the person head on, and runs after the person when they take off. She is a fierce heroine, never afraid to do what needs to be done. Kyle was working under cover staking out the library. They have information that ROC is passing along information through the library. He saw Portia take off after one of the suspects, and chased after both of them. He can’t let anything happen to the beautiful librarian. Portia and Kyle had instant chemistry. It was kind of a love at first site kind of book. Love books like that. The two teamed up to stop ROC, and save the little town. This one had lots of action. Portia has a target on her back, and Kyle is determined to keep her alive. I loved this book!

January 11, 2022first off, this book has about 3 graphic scenes so I would not recommend for people under about 16-17.

because OMG THIS BOOK.
literally tore out my heart and put it back together. if you love suspense novels with romance, THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU. the storyline and thriller plot with the added romance just makes it top tier for me. 10/10 would read again.

Snowbound with the Secret Ageny by Geri Krotow is the seventh book in the Silver Valley PD series. I always adore a visit back to Silver Valley. This little town has it's share of excitement that's for sure. This book is not stop action. The first chapter leaves you dying for more. Portia and Kyle are on a mission to save Silver Valley from the ROC which has plagued this little town for far to long. This fast pace thriller is an amazing read.
