Ive never read a Dredd novel before. This had some cool scifi elements with alien beings iver taking a communitys mind. The issue i had with it was that i felt it was a story that had been done too many times. Im not sure what the usual Dredd novel includes but i was expecting a little more action.

I don't even know why I love Judge Dredd so goddamn much.

But it was a #1, I got it, I've only seen the movie, found this a very accessible read. So ready for more.
