As the title of the book suggests poems are really weird. Each and every poem of this collection has something different to say than to their previous one. The ideas are in fragmentation but when you grasp all those ideas in totality you will understand the gravity and depth of the analysis done by the author.
Sometimes poems feel like bit personal but the delicacy of dealing with those situation creates a wonderful poetry collection.

I have been reading poems by Alok since the time we were classmates during our MA in English Literature at Nalanda College. His poetry has deepened and matured now. The art of telling subjective and objective truths has also reached a further level. This short, really weird, and amazing collection is a must-read for poetry lovers.

Though the poems are thought-provoking and there's no doubt about it, the problem with this collection is that it has only 13 poems. Though the poet has all the right over his themes and number of the poems, it does not give the amateur or even the serious readers a vantage ground to analyse and understand the poems as a body of the whole. It more or less appeals in pieces - fragments of an unknown whole. Still, I will say that the poems are well-written and these poems support the argument that modern Indian English poetry is fragmented because the situations that induce poetry are in pieces - shattered here and there.

I have been following poems by Alok very carefully. He often posts his poems on his official website and there, his poems are vivid and colourful. However, in this collection, the poems by Alok are really weird! He has written poems as short as a single word! I could have expected nothing lesser than what I see but I still find that there is a lot of room for more than the poet could do. The collection might be written in haste and I expect to see a well-planned and a better-executed collection of poems from Alok in future.

Opinions at his best. All thirteen poems are written on various topics that explore the higher meaning of life's philosophy. A joy to read these poems. Each poem has something different to offer. it is not like the classical one that goes on with one theme. As the title suggest here too, untitled poems.

Excellent! Poems are short and only leave you wanting for more... it would be great if the poet could take this positively and make the collection even number friendly by adding a few more poems. The 13 poems exhibit vivid emotions and support humane causes, mostly. Spiritual and religious tone are also visible.

What actually a weird poem is all about? I read this book to find out the answer and I found it pretty realistic. Presenting the true picture is weird. The poems in this collection always leave a question behind that seems to be weird and unsolved.

Just like the cover. the collection has a perplexing unified idea to offer to the lovers of poetry. You cannot judge something by the impression it offer; you can only judge it by interacting with the content. I enjoyed reading all the 13 poems in the collection and believe me when I say this, it was a wonderful experience. I suggest this book to the lovers of poetry and also to the students of modern poetry in English in India.

I don't know how to approach this poetry collection. When I read these poems in isolation they have different things to say but when I try to join the ideas it follows a certain pattern that ends at an abstract. The best poetry collection after so many times, here you will find the real joy of reading poems.

Out of these 13 complex poems, I could only comprehend 5 in the very first read and most of the others took me time. Is this the strength of the poet or weakness or the reading ability has delimited itself recently? I enjoyed what I could and I thought what I had to. The poet and his poems have more miles to travel!

The collection is complex to comprehend. However, it is interesting and exciting to read. At the same time, the short length of this collection makes it further complicated for the readers to make something out of this. The poet has tried to offer an alternative style of contemporary Indian English poetry. He has partly succeeded because it will inspire many kinds of emotions in the readers with its rhythm-less chants.

One poem is made of only one word. When someone writes one word and owns it as a poem, you have to have the courage to do that! I liked the way Alok has written in this collection. He seems to be walking amidst the chaos of thoughts and bringing something out of it for the readers. I just wish the poems could be more...

A compilation of poems that will almost shock the readers... I read this book at the time when it was just launched and I enjoyed it and some of my friends were too perplexed by the magnitude and gravity of the poems. Only 13 in number and as short as a single word, the poems are really complex to decode.

Poems are outstanding depicts different settings of life. While reading this short collection you will be exposed to the outer world where the gravity of understanding the emotions and feelings are becoming lesser. I really loved this collection of the poem because it does not hold any certain pattern or theme. Those are random and you judge what you want to extract from those lines.

Poetry, perhaps, is the best possible way to express one's complex feelings in words... the feelings and thoughts involved in this collection of poems are indeed complex but the poetic truth is also present. Poems are short and weird, truly. However, once you begin reading and read your poems two or three times, you will eventually understand the quality of the poems.

This is a very different poetry collection with only 13 poems in the book. However, all the poems are so wonderfully connected and yet isolated that you will not only think but ponder after reading the book... for amateur poetry readers, this will bring joy. For experienced poetry readers, this will bring many other things...

What an attempt at writing fragmented poetry! I must say that Alok has represented the modern Indian English poets very well and he is undoubtedly one of the forerunners when it comes to writing experimental and original ideas. Do read this collection if you want to experience new poetry in action.

Poetry in the collection is generally randomly stuffed with ideas that are random but connected and it soothes one's mind. You cannot put this book out without completing it and it does not take more than 10 minutes because there are only 13 poems... you should read it if you are a lover of poetry!

It's very rare to find a collection of poems consisting of only 13 poems. And the best part of the collection is all the poems are different and does not exhibit any pattern that you can connect the dots with the previous one. However, if you dig deep then you will understand the connection. It is a really nice collection and a must-read.

Experimental poems? I was worried when I first head this term by my reading experience has been smooth... I enjoyed it out and out and it really does not take more than 10 minutes of your busy life. So, if you are a person who loves to read poems, you need to get a Kindle copy and bet you, you will read it at least 5 times... thoroughly!

Poetry is immensely deep and if you read poems like the ones in this collection, you will understand how deep can poetry penetrate your thoughts and imagination. Not more than 10 minutes exactly, the poetry collection will compel you to think and re-think on certain subjects. A very good and worthy read!

This is an amazing collection of modern poems that will entice the readers to think. Short poems make it even tough to understand the possible interpretations and there is not one that comes to your mind with conviction... solving these poems is a job that any poetry reader would love to do... grab a Kindle copy now and do it yourself. Only 13 poems and all very weird as the title hints.

The poems in this collection are not many but are all more than many put together and served to a regular, critical and analytical poetry reader... I kept on thinking and thinking once I finished this and it takes just about 10 minutes to finish but about 10 days to completely get it out of your mind!

Wonderful! I can only say that the 10 minutes you invest in this book will be worth remembering for many days... the poems are very rarely rhymed but ring a bell or rather an alarm to the ears of the readers. Where have we come? Where shall we go? There are many questions that are asked and answers will be searched by you, inside you.

I have read this collection more than 5 times already... as it just takes not more than 5 minutes to read all the poems, I read it again and again to understand the possible meanings of the poem which is not yet clear... I hope I will get into the depths of the poems by Alok Mishra in this collection one day, sooner enough.

I would love to tell the readers that these 10 minutes of your life are going to be superb. just read this collection and lose yourself in the thoughts of random ideas...

Poetry is overflowing in this collection... you cannot ignore any poem because there are just 13 and you cannot skip even one of them. All the poems are loose and a complete identity even in the isolation. However, if you want to study them in collective way, you can do it easily. Any way, the point is you must read it if you love poetry.

The poet has matured... the poet has to mature further. Poems were vivid and expressive. I liked the collection's agenda and also the encompassing theme. However, the poems need to be a little grounded so that the readers, even the commoners, can understand the ideas clearly.

Not for casual poetry lovers... only 13 in number but poems are certainly deep and diverse. However, the hollowness that the poet tries to portray comes from very much within ourselves when we see carefully... a distinct and certainly a weird collection!
