This just came out this week - it's the Second Collection from Deep Magic, which is basically all the short stories and novellas from six issues of Deep Magic. I includes some of my stories (Metamorphistry and Starman & Zuki) as well. It's also a good deal because it's cheaper to buy the collection than the six issues that comprise it. Not bad! Some of my favorites in this are: Mongrel (Maria V Snyder), Theft of Words (DK Holmberg), Lullaby for the Trees (Sarina Dorie), The Ten Suns (Ken Liu), and Splinter (Rysa Walker). So many good stories!

The value of this collection is enormous as fore-mentioned. Short stories never appealed to me before but now I find it rewarding to finish a story rather than pause it. Having multiple authors immediately available is a real treat, and so far, I've enjoyed each one. 'Pawprints...' will be in my mind and heart indefinitely as it brought back so many treasured memories of my beloved dog.

Very enjoyable
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this book. What a pleasure to read so many short stories by top fantasy and sci-fi authors, many of whom are new to me. So many different themes and styles. I will be looking out for more stories by these authors.

A great collection of short stories with a more urba than high fantasy bent.
