A captured princess just wants a good night¨s sleep! Shhh´
Kidnapped by the Demon King and imprisoned in his castle, Princess Syalis is´bored.
Princess Syalis manages to mess up Christmas and Valentine¨s Day´again. Then, when Syalis and her demon captors pay a visit to her kingdom of Goodereste, a demon stands in for the princess´and winds up needing to be kidnapped herself! A common enemy forces Syalis and her archnemesis Poseidon to team up. And Syalis messes up more things, including a Demon Castle hot pot party and a Demon King educational biopic. But she still manages to find some good opportunities for relaxing naps´
2.5ish stars. My least favourite volume of the series so far. The unbelievability and ridiculousness of returning to the princess' bedroom for a pair of woolen underwear was just too much. Add to it the refresh of what was going on at the start of every chapter for that part and it just dragged for me. I did enjoy the mandrakes at the start of the volume and the needle phobia was amusing also. Still overall an entertaining series.
This was a nice, light volume (as they all are). It was funny and cute. I think Syalis has been kidnapped for over a year now, which is interesting. I can't exactly see an end to this series, but sort of? IDK. Anyway, this was an enjoyable installment in these characters' adventures, and I look forward to reading another one next time I need a pick-me-up. 4 stars.
The story is getting a bit repetitive, but I do find it funny how the princess, the Demon King, and the Demon Cleric are in this super low-key love triangle. ?
This was a fun volume, I like that there seemed to be more development between Princess Syalis and the Demon King. It was a well paced volume with some exciting events. I look forward to the events in the next volume.
Volume 7 of this series was full of laughs, a surprise ^visit ̄ to Princess Syalis¨ home, and the introduction of Syalis¨ mother, the Queen. We also see the beginnings of a low-key love triangle that I¨m intrigued to see how that plays out.
I enjoy the art and short chapters but this one took me ages to get through. Like how long will this series just be vignettes about common things´maybe forever.
Probably my least favourite volume so far. Only the last 3 chapters were good with the kotatsu, the flu shot and how comfy Twilight's cape is to sleep in.
You know I do just love this series with my whole heart. The more I read the deeper my affection grows. I feel like part of that has to do with the development of the series. We are starting to get some more story arcs taking place over multiple chapters as well as the usual one-chapter conundrum. I also love the bit of romance that seems to exist grom both the demon king and demon cleric towards the princess. They both have different crushes on her and it is adorable in and of itself while also being hilarious that she keeps egging them on without realizing a thing. This may be my favorite volume yet.
Reread: - Christmas #2 (That means 1 whole year) - A visit to the princess's Home, a look into her past like never before. - We get to meet the queen, who is definitely more aware of what is happening than anyone else really realizes - Once again, the poor demon King and the demon cleric are overcome with their desire to better know the princess and end up doing something foolish. - The princess's competence as a royal shines through once again, she can give a great speech, she is however getting parts of her two lives crisscrossed - ^Pave a way for human and demon understanding ̄ - this right here is a part of the overall plot that I so want to be expanded upon further. - The princess really is too innocent at times - The princess really gave everyone obligatory chocolate, and then gave Twilight true love chocolate without really having any idea of what either of those words meant. It is honestly only a matter of time before the demon king falls in love with her of only via repetition and a breakdown of will. - A temporary alliance between the princess and Posidon´ they are so siblings
