The story revolves around three boys named Trilochan, Ashish and Akshay who aspire to crack CA and pursue it but the minimum marks required for sitting in the exam is 50 in aggregate; on the other hand the passing marks for papers is 40 only. So the story moves forward with their story and struggles around their lives and the friendship that binds them. It is very nostalgic and a feel.good type of a book. It is pretty funny too and is filled with emotions. The language used is easy but sometimes it was amateurish along with the narration. The murder of Julius Ceasar was the best chapter in the book. It was executed well. Some lines were really relatable like 'Every Monday I had a tug of war with time. No matter how much I tried, I always lost the battle and ended up being late.' The cover is simple yet endearing and gives and overall good appeal to the book. In totality I liked the book.

I love the plot which I guess Indian students will easily connect with even if they are CA students or not. That diverse group of friends is something we would all want to be part of. This book reminded me of my college and hostel life.
.
Its a book about dreams, some fulfilled some lost, friendship lost.
.
The language used by the author is really simple and understandable. There are some mistakes but that can be ignored The cover of the book is like a movie poster. The end of the book will leave you thinking are you where you wanted to be in your life? Do you still have people in your life who once mattered a lot to you? What do you regret loosing? At least these were what i was thinking when i finished reading the book.
.
I recommend this to everyone who is in college or has just finished it. Its a must read.

Aggregate 50 by Kshitish Chandra Patro is a story about three boys Ashish, Akshay, and Trilochan who were fascinated by CA course and went Chennai to pursue it. According to the rules passing a particular subject requires a minimum of 40 marks, but in order to clear the exam, one should fetch an AGGREGATE 50.
A story was a blend of friendship, love, success and failure. Author speaks about how your attitude determines your destiny. How to believe and discover yourself? How to accept every chalenge in you life?

A smooth, simple and interesting read. The plot was something different. The narration was simple and lucid. The title matched the concept and at the beginning it gave a little clue too. The cover was simple and apt. Author's thought behind this whole concept was amazing. Overall, it was a good read.

Thankyou.

Book Name: Aggregate 50

Authors: Kshitish Chandra Patro & Suchismita Pradhan

Pages: 246

Format: Kindle

Summary: Aggregate 50 is Ashish’s journey of becoming a CA. He is from Paradip, Odisha and he sets off to Chennai for his preparation with his friend Trilochon. In this journey he makes so many friends. Akshay was one of them with whom he could feel the brotherly vibe. This book is about friendship, love, struggle for existence, failure and success.

My Take: First of all I want to thank the authors for writing about CA exam. Before reading this book I had a vague idea about CA and that was nowhere close to what I learnt from here. CA stands for Chartered Accountant. You have to clear three phases before that foundation, inter and final. Here comes the propaganda of aggregate 50. As the name suggests one has to score minimum 50% of the total to clear that particular stage. It is evident that the higher the stage, tougher is to score a 50%.

The cover and the title are very much relevant. The cover depicts a typical boys mess. In his preparation time he had to stay in a mess where he actually learns to grow as a person. The title is also very appropriate as the book is about everyone’s struggle to get the required aggregate 50. The writing style is very smooth and simple. You will live a CA aspirant’s life through the book.

The book carries a raw emotion with it. I never felt so attached with a book like this. The characters were so believable because in your daily life you have seen these people somewhere. Be it Trilochan, the hardworking guy from a village background who is struggling hard with his English or Akshay, the guy who saves money so that he can call his girlfriend time to time, you know them. Even with Ashish, the author has not tried to say something larger than life. Ashish lacks concentration and that makes him suffer in his preparation. Sometimes you will feel like slapping him and telling him to study. Relatable much, right? I like the way Chennai is descripted in the book. Due to academic purpose I shifted to Chennai 3 years ago and I can’t agree more with the book.

I felt the flow was somewhere lost at the ending part. I was beginning to lose my interest. May be it is because of the predictable writing style or the narration. The ending was good though.

The book is a perfect blend of failure and success. It has shown how friends are made and they are suddenly lost. It has given a perfect picture of CA aspirants struggle. I would recommend the book to all the fellow students out there.

REVIEW:- AGGREGATE 50
AUTHOR:- KSHITISH CHANDRA PATRO AND SICHISMITA PRADHAN
PUBLISHER:- NOTION PRESS

This book has the perfect blend of Friendship, Success, Struggles, Love and Failure this book contains many emotions.

Story of this book is revolves around Ashish and his friends Akshay and Trilochan.
Trilochan is hardworking village boy wo always struggle with his english
Akshay a simple guy who always save money to call his girlfriend.
Ashish a guy with lack of concentration and always suffer in studies.
All of these decided to do CA course. And the story revolves around their struggle for CA and their lives and friendship.

There are total 15 chapters in this book. Some grammatical error were there but it can be ignored because of such interesting story.

The real struggle of CA students is well narrated by the author in this book if feels realistic and interesting.

I don't like the Narration and the way how author tell the story. In some scenes it feels like so boaring for me and also sometimes it feels like unnecessary streching which is not required.
But the flow of the book is very engaging.

Overall if i leave some points then it's a nice read. And the way how author tell about CA thats amazing.

In his book Aggregate 50, author Kshitish Chandra Patro explores friendship, love and life through the eyes of three friends, Ashish, Akshay and Trilochan: three students aspiring to become Chartered Accountants. They travel from a small town of Orissa to the city of Chennai to study for their exams. The examinations are designed such that passing individual subjects require a minimum of 40 marks; but to clear the examination as a whole, one requires marks of an aggregate 50.
The book describes the journey of the three friends towards reaching that goal, and all the hurdles which come their way- some of which they manage to overcome, and some that drag them down like leaden weights.

The author, Kshitish C. Patro is a resident of Paradeep, a CA himself. He is a prominent GST practitioner and a good speaker. He has spoken at various forums on several topics ranging from GST, the budget and on motivation. Aggregate 50 is his first novel.
He draws inspiration from his wife, Suchismita Pradhan, who is a Financial Executive, writer and blogger.

The novel largely consists of conversations between the three main characters, and several other small characters. While the novel revolves around the hurdles faces by the three protagonists in preparing for their exams, it also talks about the role of a supportive family, an encouraging romantic partner, trust and keeping promises, and the importance of having faith.
Life rarely ever turns out the way one expects it will. There are surprises, joys and heartbreaks at every turn. Aggregate 50 highlights these qualities effortlessly.

One can easily connect to the characters and to the plot of the story. The language used is simple and unadorned, and the emotions and thoughts portrayed through the characters are relatable.
On the downside, it may sometimes feel like the story is dragging on unnecessarily: too many unrequired additions have been made to the book.
It is a light read for people looking for something funny and relatable.

“Aggregate 50 by Kshitish Chandra Patro is one of the few books which begins to attract and tickle the imagination of the reader from the cover itself. Seeing the words “ICAI and a few men’s undergarments hanging, it is fairly easy to guess the plot without reading the blurb. Unlike most of the books based on college students and college life, “Aggregate 50 does explore student life but in a different manner.
There are characters with different natures and temperaments and also face consequences on the basis of that but one common thing is their field of study. A lot has been written on the lives of engineering and medical students and for a change, Patro has attempted to describe the lives of CA students through 3 different characters. The fact that he explores a completely different field of study through the eyes of these students is what is the innovative part of the book. The book is very likely to have a strong appeal among the students doing the CA course or who are getting into it and also those who have left their home towns and gone to different cities for their education. At the same time, adults should also read the book to understand the psychology of students and their issues to take them closer to the new generation.

Aggregate 50

byKshitish Chandra Patro

This is a subtle, simple, warm and humorous story about three friends Ashish, Akshay and Trilochan set up in Chennai in order to pursue CA course which should obviously fetch aggregate 50. This short plot is a creative expression to the thoughts of every person encountering the dilemma of career and friendship. Humorously inclined, the story has a lot more in store including discovery and development of the self through the relative thoughts of the protagonists.

The story is an automated time lapse to the college days either in past or in future of the readers. In India, engineering and CA are the two top fetched destinations one could attain and through this plot, the readers would be pampered by easy language and relevant content specifically in this century.

Generosity of sentiments can be seeped in through each chapter which would leave the reader thinking about the actual essence. Although editorial aspects could have been enhanced through the promptness of language and addition of effects especially pace throughout the book could have made the book a brilliant read. Other than that, it is a decent one time read.

Loved it.

So, the book speaks of the journey of Ashish, Akshay and Trilochan who commenced their journey for Chennai to be CA. One goal and three different characters, their mindset and will power actually turn the table. While reading it, there were many funny scenes and it hurt my stomach. Memories of hostel lives will flash if anyone will read it. Ashish was quite a flirtatious and Akshay was one woman man, because he was aware of the importance of a relationship. And Trilochan was a mugging specialist. There were some more characters who were seniors and some teachers. I must say, every character was justified.
.
.
There are around 15 chapters and it is well read-paced, can complete in one go in approx 5-6 hours. Some grammatical errors can be ignored as it's a good story. The ending made me wonder and put me into introspective mode.... That if I want to change my life, then I'm the only responsible. I was touched by ending part of it.
I recommend it to all and especially teenagers.

Struggle of students

This story revolves around three main characters - Akshay, Ashish and Trilochan. All the three have come to Chennai from different backgrounds with aspiration of clearing CA .
The book is full of conversations between the three characters and all the dialogues are funny and relatable. The story is so contemporary that all students can relate to , it reminds one of the college, hostel and room sharing days . The conversations are full of life and shows how students with aspirations struggle to make their dream a reality.
The story is about love, dreams, aspirations, success, failure, hardwork, expectations, friendship, hurdles, promises, and hope that destines one's life .
The title is apt, as the story is all about scoring the aggregate 50 percent in order to qualify.
I found the cover page to be worth praising as it is an emotion, a nostalgia of youthful student life while sharing rooms.
A recommended read for all students and hostelites who can read and enjoy a similar journey as their's and stay positive and hopeful .

Finally the book I was waiting for , being an engineer myself I wanted to explore other educational fields which was driving me crazy as not much can satisfy the urge due to lack of information but this book is just splendid . This book talks about CA department which is rarely spoken about, a book about CA and added commercial elements in it with lots of twist and turns gripping us from not letting to go off the book is spectacular . Well done and well scripted by the author.
Things to look out for from the book:
Simple words
Commercial elements
Twist
Racy
Informative
Funny
This is a perfect book for a perfect evening with cup tea.

🔰 The book is based on friendship, academic system and what it takes to keep ties of friendship alive in the midst of a chaotic system and pressure to excel. A good story base thoughtfully put together by the authors.
~
🔰 This is story of a young guy ASHISH whose life was all about CA. I can’t imagine how challenging it would be to tackle all that comes with a CA world! The story of Love, Success, and failure has been narrated in a beautiful way. The incidents of the story are wholly absorbing. It managed to surpass my high expectations from the book.
~
🔰 Wanna relive your childhood?
Wanna relive friends with different characteristics?
Wanna get lost in sweet memories of growing up
when destiny has other plans?
This one will surely take you through all the above
Simple and definitely the one to be glued to till end.
Though am not a CA or ever thought about it but this book got me into my childhood.

This book revolves around three guys viz Ashish, Akshay, and Trilochan. Ashish is one of the major protagonists from Paradip, Odisha. All three guys travel to Chennai in order to pursue CA. In their train travel to Chennai, Akshay gives some insights about the CA course to the other two boys, and in that way, the author makes an attempt to give an introduction to the course for the readers' who are unaware of it. Most of the teens can relate to their activities cause' everyone must have done at some point in time in our lives. It was a pride to see the description of the place Chennai where I reside. The book highlights friendship, love, career. The storyline is quite different from the rest. The author has given a vivid narration which grabs our attention. It is realistic and set in everyday life. It is recommended for beginners, young students.

I have a mixed opinion regarding this book. Some parts excited me more and some made me bore. The story is about a guy Ashish and his hardships that he faced while preparing for CA.

Any student especially a CA aspirant can easily connect with the book. The language used by the author is easy to read and even a beginner could read the book without any difficulty.

There are too many characters in the book and it is better to ignore them. You can't remember all those names. The story is mainly about 3 guys, Ashish, Akshay and Trilochan. From a small town of Odisha, how they move out to Chennai to prepare for CA. So who will finally taste the success? Well, you need to read the book to know the entire story. I can't tell you everything here.

If you read the book slowly and try to understand the story, you could surely connect to the characters. There are more dialogues than narrations in the book. Well if you're a student, go for this book as this book will teach you, 'never to lose hope'.

Being myself from commerce background I can relate myself at many places. The story is totally imaginable and relatable. The story is quite extraordinary and narration is wonderful. The language is easy and lucid. The cover page is beautiful and attractive. Name is apt according to the story. This book will surely drive anyone back to the college days. Highly recommended

Title: Career's Talk

Aggregate 50 means not far cry from what I thought. It's talking about those 50% marks in aggregate which led to clearance of exam. Following passion is a good quality but a good command always has much relevance. This book is talking about the same. All three protagonist were friends and were inclined to the course of Charted Accountant. They shift to chennai for picturing their dream into reality. What's the epilogue of their story, you just need to find that. Story depicted an enthralling blend of friendship, love, career, dream, success amd failure. You can experience the turbulence in journey of career, without confronting them in real with the help of this book.

I absolutely loved the book. The book helped me to realise what I actually am and to believe in myself. The book holds a strong emotion which made me attached to the book from the very beginning itself.
The book basically revolves around three friends Ashish, Akshay and Trilochan who went to Chennai to persue CA. As few readers like me may not know about the course much so the author has given a brief introduction about it via Akshay. As the story progress we get more information and details of the stream and also come across many twists and turns.
The author has beautifully described the journey of a CA student. Not just a CA student but author has described about the ups and downs faced by a person on the way to success. It was a great, positive read for me. Grab your copy soon.

I got to know about this book, from a friend who told me that you must read this book. Being into the course of CA, I hardly get any time to read any other books rather than the academic one. But I thought let's give it a try. And this book is so gripping that I could not able to drop the book before finishing it within a day. Being a CA student, I can easily connect with everything that the author had written. Simple language, lots of practical tips, and a beautiful storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed it until the end. Thank you, authors, for the book.

It describes, in detail, their journey, their struggles, joyful moments, and tragedies.

It's an interesting read and easy to consume. It describes the reality of CA students and what struggles they have to go through.
