The Determined Bride

Rate this book
**THIS BOOK WAS PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED AS THE SNAPSHOT BRIDE**

He needs a girl that will stay. She's never been able to settle down. What happens when love sparks between them?
Love is in the air in Cobble Creek—for everyone but Anthony Marino. Month after month the owner of Tony’s Diner watches happy couples stroll through that bell-chiming door, and he can’t help but wonder if it will ever be him. The winds shift in his favor when Kira Moretti rings that very same bell. During a childhood visit to Cobble Creek, the outgoing girl pinned him with his first kiss. Years later, the feelings are still there. But is Kira here to stay or does she—like the other women in Anthony’s past—have her eyes set on a different life?

It’s no secret that Kira Moretti’s imperfect past soiled the family name. So when Grandpa Moretti leaves his Cobble Creek photography studio to her in his will, Kira’s determined to prove herself worthy. Cobble Creek is just as charming as she remembered, and even better—so is the handsome guy from Tony’s Diner. Chemistry between them sparks fast, and soon Kira’s certain she’s right where she needs to be.

But when someone from her past shows, offering long-sought redemption, Kira has to make a choice. Stay with the man she’s just fallen in love with, or take the offer and risk losing him forever.

Kira has a chance to redeem herself by accepting her grandfather's photo studio when he passes away. She appears to be humbled and ready to work hard and a chance to reconnect with a childhood friend, Anthony, proves to be just what the doctor ordered.

The immediate connection was satisfying because these two have a past and I loved watching the flames spark up. Kira is outgoing and impulsive, while Anthony is more shy and tentative, but they balance each other perfectly as they navigate a new future, and especially while they sift through their past issues.

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again--Cobble Creek is a very soothing, comforting place and I love my time spent there. I love seeing characters from other books make appearances and I love getting to know a few new residents at a time.

THE SNAPSHOT BRIDE tugged on my heartstrings more than a few times and I finished with a tear in my eye. A happy tear, of course. Kimberly Krey has the magic touch of telling a sweet, romantic tale that is full of emotion.

Content: mild, swoony romance

Woo hoo! It's a new book by Kimberly Krey! I always feel like the luckiest girl when Kimberly sends me a copy of her newest book. It really makes me happy- like do a happy dance- happy. I'm a Kimberly Krey fan. No doubt about it.

I loved that these two characters- Kira and Anthony- had some history albeit a young child history. They had happy memories with each other so when they met up again as adults, the chemistry and friendship already had a foundation. This allowed for some sparky attraction and a relationship that blossomed quickly.

Kira is a fun, quirky character. I just loved her. Her insecurities made her endearing and so human. And Anthony? He's just a stand up kind of guy- so supportive and encouraging of Kira. I'm a big fan of those kind of men!

This was just an easy reading, sweet romance. Perfect for the rainy day I found myself reading it. I enjoyed the ride and I loved the ending. So very romantic.

Content: Clean, some kissing

This was a great book! I thought both main characters were likable and well developed. Their relationship progressed at a believable pace and the way the handled the obstacles that came their way felt authentic. It was fun to revisit Cobble Creek, what a great setting.

This is a sweet romance that I can recommend to anyone who enjoys clean romance.

Kira couldn’t believe it when her grandfather left his photography studio to her in his will. She never stuck with anything so she and everyone else in her family thought she was flighty. But clearly Grandpa Moretti didn’t. When she got to Cobble Creek and the studio, she ran into her childhood friend, Anthony. The man he was now was not only drop-dead gorgeous but very kind and caring. Though a bit shy. Which was the complete opposite of Kira’s outgoing personality. I loved the way their feelings grew as they helped each other work through past issues.

I love Kimberly Krey's books so when I was offered a copy of The Snapshot Bride to review, I jumped at the chance. She has a remarkable ability to express the details of the scenes so that the reader can vividly picture the story unfold. And you can’t help but fall in love with her characters. Kira was so down on herself because she couldn’t settle on anything and didn't believe she could do anything right. But Anthony saw the positives in what she thought of as negatives in herself. Anthony saw the beautiful, smart, talented woman Kira was. Every woman should have a man like that.

You've got to love a book that leaves you smiling. I loved this steamy clean romance and definitely recommend it.

-‘So why had Gramps given her a second chance? People usually didn’t do things like that. Take a gift they’d given someone and—after the recipient tossed it aside—pick it up, dust it off, and place it right back into hands.-

She’s impulsive. Flirty. Spunky. Flighty. Unfocused. Yet her grandfather believed in her, enough to leave her his photography business as an inheritance. Will she make it a success?
She was his first kiss and you never forget your first kiss. When Anthony discovers Kira has moved back to Cobble Creek, he recognizes her right away and hopes maybe, just maybe, she remembers him too...

I always get excited when Kimberly Krey publishes something new. I recommend “The Snapshot Bride for a fun, clean romance.

Wonderful story

I loved this story. It was so creative & beautiful. It didn't have any drastic drama, just a beautiful love story of people falling in love & choosing to continue to love each other. It had some great points for healing broken parts of people's lives. Very well written, some typos though that editing missed but it didn't take away from the integrity of the story.

I put this book first in my "next to read" Kindle library list because I know Kimberly Krey always picks me up. The Snapshot Bride was an interesting story, with great background country life descriptions and characters. I was never bored.

Kira was her own person, loved her personality.

I especially connected to Anthony; well, he was practically perfect. We kind of get used to romance authors describing women as being vulnerable, sensitive, passionate, and caring (and super smart, of course). But Anthony was a gift and who could not love him? The author did an amazing job bringing him to life and making me really care about him.

My only dislike: Anthony's mother's story was just too contrived, even for me. Could have skipped some of it.

Kimberly Krey is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors for romance books that are both romantic and clean. The Snapshot Bride is one of my favorite books in this series. I was so happy for Anthony, a character who was introduced in other books in the series, to finally get his happily ever after. He and Kira were perfect for one another and I loved seeing how they encouraged each other as they dealt with their personal issues. I hope Kimberly has some more stories to add to the Cobble Creek Romance series because if so, I'm in!

I've been dying to give Anthony Marino, the good-looking guy who runs Tony's Diner, his happily ever after. And who better to fall in love with than the sweet and sassy Kira Moretti? She's made mistakes, like everyone, but hers weigh heavy on her heart. She's dying for a chance to prove that she's not the screwup her family thinks she is. And now is her big chance. I can't wait for you guys to see the way these two fall in love! I really like the way Anthony sees past his fears and gives Kira the trust and encouragement she needs to regain her confidence. I hope you guys enjoy this sweet, romantic addition to Gelato's Country Brides & Cowboy Boots Series!

Snapshot

A snapshot is a captured moment and this book is about capturing the moments and living in them without fear of the future. Kira and Anthony both had past issues to overcome. They chose to build trust rather than let fear rule. A beautiful story with sweet ending.

More like a 3.5 actually.

This story wins the award for "THE MOST DRAMATIC AND ARRESTING CHAPTER 1" ever written in romantic fiction, in my experience ! A full fledged graphic description of a birthing scene in the middle of war !!!

The heroine is about to pop, her scum bag husband is a soldier who is dead. Her labour is being assisted by officers of her husband's military platoon !! Headed by the hero - the scum bag husband's super hot Captain and boss !!!!

There is an on-the-spot marriage between the captain and the much-in-labour heroine, right there in front of the platoon, just a few min before the delivery. There is also a minister to officiate the wedding, present right there !! To understand the true madness of that scene, you've got to read it @#@

The rest of the story is quite tame in comparison. Our cool captain is in the middle of war duties you see. So he gives his new wife a smacking kiss, and sends her away into safe keep.

The girl is unsure about the sanctity of that on-the-spot wedding. She goes back to her parents place as her scumbag husband's widow. But after 6 months she comes looking for her captain husband. Who is promoted to Major after war victories. Add to all that, he is a aristocrat, heir to some Lordship !! Now our lady is extremely wary of her position. Is such an exalted guy going to honour that shot-gun wedding?

But no worries. Our man claims that he was always sweet on her, even when she lived with the scumbag earlier in the barracks !! So he is only too thrilled to fulfill his matrimonial vows. Jolly good. They declare undying love and HEA.

Just a small niggle in the end about whom to call as the kiddo's dad. But sorted quickly.

Funny setting, but fairly straightforward story. About second chances.

The Snapshot Bride: Cobble Creek Romance Book 3 is by Katherine Krey. This book deals with a girl who believes she is a failure at anything she does. She was unable to find that one passion that would lead her to her job. Grandpa had given her an idea when he took her to Cobble Creek to have her work with him as his photography assistant. However, she had left him there to go with her boyfriend to Milan to shoot runway shots. He betrayed her there and she came home broken and gave up photography. She believes the family thinks she is a failure. Then Grandpa dies and leaves her his photography studio and duplex in Cobble Creek as her inheritance instead of money. Now she has a chance to redeem herself; but can she?

The girl with the outgoing personality.

I enjoyed this titillating tale about a sweet young lady with a very fun and flirty personality. There was humor and a sweet romance that developed as the story unfolds. A delightful book.

Clean romance

I enjoyed the clean romance story. Kira and Anthony each had baggage to deal with before they could trust and love each other. I recommend this story for the young adult reader.

Happy Story

Anthony and Kira make a cute couple. They are a great example of opposites attract. One is quiet and reserved and the other one is bubbly, outgoing and not afraid to take chances. Read how they learn to strengthen each other in different ways.

Self Lost Self Found

Many of us have felt Kira's self doubt, but hopefully we find self confidence before we've wasted too many years of our life.

Returning Home

Anthony Marino seemed to be waiting most of his life for people to return. Most he had given up on. Some came back, but left to never return. Do the ones he loves deeply makes his heart full and return? Yes, and love is so good.

Fine

Deals well with how fears can stimy meaningful relationships. Like how the characters worked through their past to end up with a HEA. Enjoyed the completion at the end.
