I've been writing as long as I can remember and all of my stories always held a thread of romance (even when I was writing about a prince who could shoot lasers out of his eyes). I love creating unique characters, love giving them happy endings and I even love the voices in my head. There's no other job I would rather be doing. In September 2002, when I got the call that Silhouette Desire wanted to buy my first book, Desert Warrior, it was a dream come true. I hope to continue living the dream until I keel over of old age on my keyboard.
I was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. I also spent three years living and working in Japan, during which time I took the chance to travel around Asia. I’m back in New Zealand now, but I’m always plotting new trips. If you’d like to see some of my travel snapshots, have a look at the Travel Diary page (updated every month).
So far, I've worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher and not necessarily in that order. Some might call that inconsistency but I call it grist for the writer's mill.
A nice little snippet in to Nathan and Tamsyn's life 14 years after their mating.
The kids in this series are so cute.
I am so invested in this series I will read anything and now that I've found the page containing a fair few of Singh's short reads well rubbing my hands in glee.
. I'm a little disappointed that it takes Nathan 14 years before he's ready for them to have kids/cubs. I feel bad for Tamsyn (despite the author writing about how deep their lurve is) that she is hampered with such a stubborn mate.
Seedlings is a follow up to Nathan and Tamsyn's story Beat of Temptation a novella in Wild Invitation antho.
Tamsyn always wanted a cub of her own, but is content to look after the young of their pack knowing Nathan would struggle with more than a mating. Then one day, he shows he is healed of his dark fearful thoughts and ready to share a family with her.
But instead of one cub... Jules and Rome come along.
Such a sweet early story from the Dark River Changelings.
. cute little fast read. I honestly don't get the short stories, this could just be included as a cute little chapter at the end or at the beginning of one of the books that have the characters in them?
For what it its, it was nice enough.
BUT you have to have read some of the other books before reading this one as your first one or nothing will make sense.
A short story about Tamsyn and Nathan's married life and how they got to have their twins. The small detail of how in changelling mated couples, the male is first made aware of when the female is pregnant is a sampler of the author's effort in world building.
A short story, 0.6 in the Psy-Changeling paranormal romance series, that revolves around the emotionless Psy, two strong Changeling packs: DarkRiver leopards and the SnowDancer wolves, and, the humans who are tired of being pushed around.
If you're interested, there is a of the Psy-Changeling books on my website.
My Take This peek-in at Nathan and Tamsyn is so sweet and the fear of parents-to-be around the world, that of having children.
Singh uses third person protagonist point-of-view from Tamsyn's perspective as she recounts Nathan's issues from the past and the inciting incident is that cute Ry's feeding attempt in the garden, lol. So typical of a kid, lol.
The Story Tamsyn has been patient, waiting for Nate's fears to ease. Luckily, Tammy has all the cubs in the pack to mother and love.
The Characters The protective Nathan Ryder is a senior sentinel with DarkRiver, and he's been mated to Tamsyn, the pack healer, for fourteen years (, 0.5; also in Wild Invitation). The twins, Julian and Roman, are the cubs to come.
Bryan, a.k.a. Ry, has a thing for worms. Zach is his uncle. Shayla had been Lucas' mom. Lucas is now the alpha of DarkRiver.
The Title The title refers to all "Seedlings", the metaphor referring to the garden...as well as children.
After reading Tammy and Nate's novella, Beat of Temptation and seeing them in Slave to Sensation with the cubs, I wanted to see Nate when he found out Tammy was pregnant. I was not disappointed! I even got a scene after the birth of the twins too! I loved this little scenes with them, they have been the staple couple before even Sascha and Lucas. It was also cute as hell to see the bond between Julian and Roman started from birth. Those two are sooooo gonna be heart breakers when they are older.
This is a sweet little piece that takes us back to the beginning of the Psy-Changeling series with Tamsyn and Nathan, showing how they grew not just from coming together as a couple, but to when they were both ready to expand their little family and ultimately had the twins. It's a quick read released for free via the author's newsletter, but it's still enjoyable and will bring out a smile.

Sweet little story about Tamsyn and Nathan finally deciding to finally have cubs. Of course knowing the series means knowing just who those two little terrors are. They're an adorable handful in later books. But this was just so cute as Tamsyn's healers heart finally gets her wish.
This is what a I called a quickie! LOL I enjoyed when an author just can't let go completely of her characters. Is fun to see that they live in her head and she can have fun playing with little bits and pieces of their love story in these short stories.
