When the woman who’d left him broken years ago arrives frantic and bleeding on his doorstep, Detective Sean Hughes is determined to protect her...and his heart. But that’s easier said than done.
Piper rushes into his house and his arms like three years never happened--because for her, they haven’t. She’s stuck in a time he had long since buried, and suddenly their past is coming back to him with a vengeance. And with old feelings that never really died.
But there’s no time for blame and no time to lose as they race to restore her memory before what she doesn’t know gets them all killed.
I really liked this book. Girl leaves boy three years ago but shows up at his house after an accident because she has amnesia. Someone is after her and Sean, her ex, needs to keep her safe. But who is after her? Why? Why did she leave Sean? Why didn't he come to get her? It's non stop action and I really liked it. Clean and nothing but kissing. I knew who The bad guy was early on but I still liked their story. Cute epilogue. First time author for me and it was quick and entertaining. I will read her again.
A nice (and I'm pretty sure safe, as in no others during separation) second chance romance and clean (except for a few swear words), I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. While the MCs were very developed, I still found myself liking them a lot and also rooting for them as a couple. If this was Gwen Taylor's debut novel, I'm excited to see what else she has in store for us.
At 31%, there still seemed to be very little point to the story or what was really happening in the plot. Just couldn’t force myself to continue to read.
Who wanted to kill Piper and why??? I definitely understand what Piper is saying about the men running things!!! I enjoyed this story and reccommend the book.
