Roommate Romps #3

Crave Thy Neighbor

Rate this book
Don’t fall for your roommate…especially when it’s only temporary.

Nolan Brooks is off limits.
Sure, he’s insanely attractive and funny and I might have almost gone home with him one night to relieve a little stress.
Big deal.

It was all just a momentary lapse in judgment…just like the kiss we shared.

He’s my temporary roommate while I wait for my new apartment to be ready. That’s it.
He’s doesn’t do relationships, and he doesn’t do attachments.

So what if I have a crush on him? We’ll only be there for two months.
Surely I can survive that long.

This one started and ended so good, but somewhere in the middle, it got a little messy for me. I don’t like the back and forth when kids are involved and I was so frustrated with the hero, Nolan. By the end, he was back in my (and Maya’s) good graces. Her son Sam was my favorite part of the book!

“I’m sorry for being an idiot, and I’m sorry I didn’t do this sooner. But I’m not sorry for falling crazy in love with you.

Maya needs a new place to live for her and her son soon, and Nolan just happens to have two rooms available in his new apartment. The fact that they were ready to go to bed together once is just a little detail...

Sorry but first of all I want to say that Teagan Hunter is A COMPLETE GENIUS for doing a series about roommates, there are so many domestic moments and tropes encompassed in here it is impossible to get bored!

Maya West and Nolan Brooks are incompatible and off-limits for so many reasons: he doesn't do relationships, she has a teenage son and isn't willing to fall into a half assed relationship again, and finally, they're going to be sharing a place for two months, there's no need to make things more awkward... BUT THE CHEMISTRY! It's right there from the beginning! and the more time they spend together, the less they can resist wanting to be close to each other and give themselves to their urgencies. And whoever said this was a slow romance LIED STRAIGHT THROUGH THEIR TEETH. Yes, it took them a lot to recognize what was really going on between them (male characters being male characters *eyes roll*), but the relationship was always there, and the domestic, cute and fun moments? they made this dynamic SO much better. I think it's literally impossible not to be engrossed in this relationship.

Maya was an amazing character. Independent, direct and always giving her 100%, she learned quickly from her past mistakes and wasn't willing to make them again. Nolan was literally prince charming; with a hobby that I can relate to and always saying the most perfect things, he just needed to work on his burdens from the past that led him to be alone and closed until now. The only thing that would have made this even better for me would have been to include Sam, Maya's son in a few more scenes. Maya was an excellent single mom, and Nolan, as much as he said he didn't want kids around, fell into the stepfather/friend role right away, so it would have been great to see a little more of them interacting.

Overall, Crave Thy Neighbor was just another great Teagan Hunter rom-com. Funny, sweet, low in the angst and with crumbs from past characters that always leave you wanting more. And the next book? If she's anything like her brother, then we have some dramatic antics coming our way and I can't wait for it!

ME ENCANTÓ

“We weren’t supposed to get involved, and I definitely wasn’t supposed to get attached to her. But every time I look at the date, a little more panic sets in. She’s leaving soon, and I don’t fucking want her to.

4.5/5

With her landlord having sold the building she lives in, Maya must find a new place for her and her son, but time is running out, and her options are limited. In the midst of this mess, she meets the charming Nolan, who happens to live alone in a three-bedroom apartment. Despite their mutual attraction and the fact that they are off-limits to each other, they become temporary roommates and try their hardest to resist temptation.

I have been hoping for a MayaNolan book since the moment I started the Roommate Romps series, as Nolan emphasized that he hated kids and didn't do attachments, and Maya was a single mom. They were bound to serve hard, and now that I've finished Crave Thy Neighbor, I can 100% confirm that they did. I'm obsessed with them, and so far, they might be my favorite couple from the series and the author in general. I was engrossed in Maya and Nolan's story from beginning to end and probably would have finished it in one sitting if I hadn't controlled myself. From the characters to their chemistry to the plot, I enjoyed this book so much. Teagan Hunter never disappoints!

Maya is a strong and confident woman. She is determined to fight for what she wants and will do anything to protect her son Sam, and I admired that a lot. Nolan is also an amazing character. He grew so much throughout the story, and the more he talked about his past, the more I was able to understand his feelings and actions. He is so precious and has such a big heart that it's impossible not to fall in love with him.

Now to my favorite part: the romance!! The chemistry and tension between Maya and Nolan were intense, and I loved all their moments so much. The pacing was perfect; it was slow-burn and very angsty as they tried to fight their connection for as long as possible. And once they stopped resisting each other, it was over for me. They also had many adorable and domestic moments, and I adored Sam and Nolan's relationship!

All the RiverDean and CarolineCooper crumbs were everything. The friendships between all the characters are the best, and I've grown attached to them so bad. There were many funny and sweet moments between them, and I love how supportive they are of each other. My comfort characters <3

Overall, Crave Thy Neighbor was another wonderful rom-com by Teagan Hunter. She wrote Maya and Nolan and their relationship perfectly, and I won't stop thinking about them anytime soon. I'm so excited for Holland's book, but I'm also not ready to say goodbye to this crew!

This is by far the best book in the series, and definitely my favorite Rom com of the entire year!! Maya & Nolan made me laugh so hard with their crazy antics, and their chemistry was just out of this world! But this was definitely the most emotional book out of the series as well, and I loved that so much!!

I loved Maya since we were first introduced to her in the first book, and since I love the single parent trope, I couldn't wait until I had her book in my hands! This woman is so firecely independent and strong, and an all around amazing mother for her pre-teen son, Sam. Even with her life currently falling apart, she is still being the best mom in the world, and making sure that her son has everything he could ever want and need in his life -- even if she can't afford to buy him the fancy presents his dad (her ex husband) buys him. But I just adored the special mom and son relationship they had! He was her entire world, and everything she did was with him in mind.

I absolutely loved Nolan too! That hunk of a man is a secret softie, and when he and Maya first met, I felt the sparks deep in my soul! They are just on fire together, and little do they know that one meeting will forever cement them into the others lives. Especially when Nolan offers to help solve Maya's current predicament by having her and her son move in with him until she can find another place to live. Maya doesn't want to rely on him for help, especially with the intense feelings she already has for him, but the more she gets to know him, the more she wants him.. and with no other choice, she and her son move in with Nolan, and every moment from that point is nothing short of magical. For Nolan being so adamant against all forms of commitment, the way he is with Sam just melted my heart along with Maya's! Their relationship was definitely one of my favorite aspect of this book!

Maya and Nolan had such amazing chemistry, and I loved how emotional their relationship was outside of their intense sexual connection. They just fit together so effortlessly! These two are definitely my favorite couple out of the entire series! Plus the humor was just off the charts with this book. I seriously couldn't stop laughing! And the swoon -- oh my gosh this book had all the swoon! I just can't get enough of this couple!

I sincerely hope that Teagan never stops writing. I will always need her particular brand of humor in my life!

4.5!

when maya’s landlord sells the apartment building she lives in, she has to find a fast solution for her and her son. she’s running out of time and options, until nolan comes across her way with his charming smile and his three-bedroom apartment. they become temporary roommates, and even though they’re both off limits for each other, the attraction is too hard to ignore and they add nighttime activities to their arrangement.

ever since nolan was introduced in the first book as the kind of guy that doesn’t do attachments and it was said that maya was a single mom, i knew, deep in my trope lover soul, that they were meant to be and that they were going to serve. well, let me brag for once, because i was right and they are my new favorite couple in the roommate romps series! i am obsessed with them.

nolan didn’t have an easy childhood and had to witness his dad suffer a lot, which made him close off and promise himself he would never fall in love. i love this kind of character because they make the romance so angsty and intense it’s impossible not to fall in love with them. he’s so sweet to maya and to sam, i think he was the only one who thought he wasn’t gonna fall in love with them. maya is strong, an amazing woman that doesn’t need anyone to take care of herself and sam, but who lets people help when she could use a hand. i loved that so much. accepting help is as important as offering it.

another thing i absolutely adored was the friendship between the boys. in the other books (and this one too), we got to see lots of moments between maya, river and caroline. the friendship spotlight was on nolan, dean and cooper in this one. i adored their friendship! finally one that’s not oozing toxic masculinity. also, i didn’t know how much i loved and missed river and dean until now. they are so cute pleaseee!

i truly loved this book. if anything, i would have loved to have a chapter about certain conversation betweet nolan and sam. their relationship was so beautiful <3

so excited for the next book! (and so sad it’ll be the last! i am going to miss this crew a lot).

“Don’t fall for your roommate. it should have been a simple directive to follow for two people who aren’t looking for a relationship and don’t even believe in love. But what starts as a simple and very temporary living arrangement slowly develops into a sizzling hot romance.
I swipe my thumb over the inside of her wrist.
“Good night, Julie.
One side of her lips tips up. “Good night, Romeo.
And somehow, with all the will power in the world, I let her go.

Crave Thy Neighbor is a story about single mother Maya who needs a temporary place to stay and hasn’t had any luck finding anything until her BFF’s and her BFF’s boyfriend not so subtlety push her into accepting a room from Nolan Brooks. The guy who she has insane chemistry with and almost went home with one night. The same guy who doesn’t do relationships and doesn’t like kids.

Maya is independent, resilient and hates relying on anyone. Nolan is very reserved hero with an endearing sweet side. Plus he loves to read. Come on, that’s sexy all on its own! Who can resist a hot guy that loves to read so much he has his own library?!

The chemistry between Maya and Nolan a.k.a. Romeo and Juliet was palpable from the start. It was almost funny who they tried to deny and fight it, but it made for a good slow burn.

This was my first Teagan Hunter book and it won’t be the last. It was a light and easy to read story with enough steam and angst. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and I’ll hopefully catch up with the previous ones in the meantime.

Crave They Neighbor is book #3 of the roommate romps series by Teagan Hunter. It is a stand alone, slow burn story told from both points of view and has a happy ending. Genre: contemporary romance Tropes: Single Mom | Temporary Roommates

I honestly don’t even know what to say. Ever since the very beginning of this series I’ve been so excited for this book because I absolutely LOVE the single parent trope, but let me say I wasn’t expecting it to be THIS good.

As with every other Teagan Hunter's book this was such a fun read, I had my fair share of laughs and it just made the read so enjoyable and so hard to put it down. Every scene with Dean, River, Caroline and Cooper just made my heart so damn happy. On that note, one of the things I loved the most about this was seeing how great friends Dean and River are to Nolan and Maya, their unconditional support just made me so emotional.

And of course, the main element, MAYA AND NOLAN! I quickly fell in love with both of them and their journey. how they grew very close to each other without noticing it, to the point where their absence just made a huuuge difference until they realized how they deeply needed each other. And obviously, as one of the main reasons I love this trope so much, seeing the loving relationship Nolan created with Sam and becoming a big element in his life as well.

I honestly loved this book SO much and it might be my favorite of the series so far.
and now, I can’t wait for Holland’s book!!!

This series is one of my favorites!
Each book in this series has had some pretty hot scenes but I think Nolan and Maya took it up a notch.

Maya and Nolan had the BEST chemistry! Even when they put each other in the "Don't touch that" category, they still couldn't deny the attraction. It was angsty and then it was full on HOT!

On top of the main story, Teagan also catches us up on the characters from the previous stories and they are every bit as fun in this story as well.

I highly recommend this story as well as the other two books in this series. They are all fun, hot and addictive reads!

I can't wait to see what happens with Dean's sister and her roommate.

Crave Thy Neighbor is the third book in the Roommate Romps series by Teagan Hunter, and it is centred around Maya West and Nolan Brooks, who we got to see as secondary characters in the previous books of the series.

Maya finds herself in a difficult situation when her landlord decides to sell the apartment building she and her son Sam live in, so she needs to find a new apartment as soon as possible. In the middle of looking for new options, she meets the infamous Nolan one night, finding out that he has recently moved to a three-bedroom apartment. In spite of their mutual connection and attraction, they become temporary roommates until Maya finds a better place. However, being in such close proximity is difficult for them, making it almost impossible to resist each other.

I have been rooting for Maya and Nolan to happen ever since Nolan was described as the guy who does not like kinds and relationship, so I thought that Maya being a single mom would be the perfect love interest to come around and break all his notions. I am so glad that my prediction was right, because they are of most recently one of my favorite couples! They served so hard in this book, I just could not put it down since I was so immersed in their interactions and how their story was developing from beginning to end.

I loved Maya from the moment she was introduced as River’s best friend in Loathe Thy Neighbor, and she has proven to be a strong and determined woman that knows how to navigate life even at the hardest times. I loved finding out more about Nolan in this book, how his aversion to relationships came from how he spent his childhood witnessing his dad being heartbroken over the love of his life. He had this soft side that was impossible to keep locked when it came to Maya and Sam, and I enjoyed every single moment of it.

When it comes to the romance between the two characters, Teagan Hunter obviously did not disappoint either! I loved how there was an intense chemistry between the two of them from the very first moment, and how the tension caused the chemistry to be ten times better. Every single one of their scenes were very amazing, and their relationship was developed in a way that made me enjoy all the steps that they were going through. Apart from that, I really loved how them living together allowed for us to see them in the most adorable and domestic scenes.

Another thing I adored was how friendship was portrayed in the book, and how we get to see the previous couples throughout it. It was amazing to get to see the girls hanging out, at the same time as the guys, and obviously all the couples together. I think friendships are very important in these kinds of books and it makes you enjoy the reading even more, going as far as getting attached to the characters.

To conclude, I absolutely loved the book and I cannot wait for the next book, even though it would be kind of bittersweet since it is going to be the last in the series.

Crave Thy Neighbor is the third book in Teagan's Roommate Romp series and deals with the single parent trope.

Maya finds herself in need of a new place. Nolan just so happens to live alone in 3 bedroom apartment. Who cares that they almost went to bed together before? Nolan doesn't do relationships and Maya isn't about to start something that has no future. But they can definitely stomach living together for a brief time. HA!!!

I truly enjoyed reading this one. The chemistry is completely off the chats obvious but it's how they walk around it that makes this so enjoyable. While this is a slow burn in terms of length and how long it takes for Maya and Nolan to finally give in, but when you reading this, the time just disappears and the books just flows perfectly.

Watching Maya and Nolan develop a stronger relationship by living together into more was just amazing. They both grew so much both individually and together and that just made this story all the more real and relatable. I had my bouts of laughter and smiles that I am always guaranteed to get from Teagan's books.

Crave Thy Neighbor is another smashing hit in this series. It's hilarious, sweet and all-around a great read. I cannot wait for the last book in this series.

When I saw Crave Thy Neighbor had a single mom and was slow burn, I couldn’t wait to read. As much as I enjoyed the other books in this series, I liked this one even more.

I love a good banter between characters and Nolan and Maya had the best banter. I also loved seeing the changes in Nolan . He had growth through this book. He wasn’t exactly what he seemed, and he had such a big heart. I loved seeing him with Maya’s son most of all. Nolan and Maya had an amazing connection, even though they tried hard to fight it. When they finally gave in, it was fire.

Teagan does a great job of writing standalones within series but also makes you want to go back and read about the other couples in their own books. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fast-paced, single mom and slow burn, love, and feels!!

i liked sam, and that was about it. no build up, nolan’s sad backstory made me roll my eyes, and they had the worst dynamic. also the fact that nolan didn’t even stay to greet sam after his talent show utterly ridiculous, yet it’s meant to be romantic afterwards? the writing was not good, i’m not sure the author knows how to write romantic tension - she only tells, never shows. and some of their conversations made we want to cry, namely the whole “i can vibrate my eyes debacle.

This is book three in the “Roommate Romps series and can be read as a stand alone. But do note the characters all intertwine throughout the books.

This is def a sexy little rom com. It was not cheesy or insta love so I completely adored it. It made me chuckle a few times. I loved all the characters and the connection between Nolan and Maya felt genuine and real.

I love this author’s work and maybe this book didn’t hit the nail on the head but it was not bad either. I can’t wait to see who is next!!

Teagan Hunter does not disappoint with these books!! This series has easily become one of my favorites.
I absolutely enjoyed Crave Thy Neighbor and the characters.

Maya and Nolan are both characters that are very interesting to read about! Their chemistry throughout the book was one of my favorite aspects, the moments they had together were everything!! Maya’s character was honestly written really well. I loved the way she always pushed through to achieve the things she wanted. Also the way she never gave up even when she was going through the toughest moments. Nolan’s character actually surprised me. The more I read in his pov and given his past I was able to understand his actions and feelings towards certain things. I think that aspect really made Maya and Nolan’s relationship interesting and being on the edge for me.

All in all this was such an enjoyable read!! The friendships in this series are the absolute best and seeing those moments in the books is everything. I am very excited for what’s the come in the series!

So, ever since Loathe Thy Neighbor I knew I had to read Maya and Nolan’s story. I just had a feeling they would end up being each other’s love interests, and I’m so glad I was right.

This book is a slow burn, close proximity romcom. It will definitely make you laugh and swoon. I love that teagan hunter takes the same premise for all 4 books in this series, but manages to make them completely their own story.

Nolan was a more intense and broody Hero. He has been threw a loss, that make me connect with his character. I loved how him and Sam (Maya’s son) had and Instant bond.

Maya is extremely strong and caring. She was forced to grow up at the age of 16 after an unplanned pregnancy. She would do anything for her son, even put herself in an awkward situation like living with an extremely Hot man like Nolan.

Overall I loved all the banter and back and fourth between Nolan and Maya. They’re inside jokes were both sweet and hilarious. If you’d love a great low angst and funny romance, I defiantly recommend this one.

Teagan does it again. She weaves a beautiful story filled with laughter and emotion. Lots of chemistry and sexiness mixed with loads of witty humor; the per rom-com.

I loved Nolan and Maya's little meet cute. What a coincidence and the the perfect set up for a sexy rom-com. These two together were so cute. The chemistry was hot but the connection was hotter. Maya and Nolan both deserved their HEA.

I can not wait for more in this series.

You guys already know how much I love teagan hunter’s books, probably my favourite author when it comes to rom com series !!! And once again I wasn’t disappointed I was so excited for this book cause maya has been one my favourite characters since the first book of this series.

Maya and Nolan being roommates was just so funny....and hot, I was waiting to see who was gonna give in first. Her kid being in the picture made this so much more angsty cause we already know that Nolan doesn’t really like kids and he doesn’t even want to be in a relationship. They were intense and the Juliet/Romeo part made me melt that was so freaking cute 🥰

And I have to mention that the friendship dynamic is EVERYTHING, they’re so funny together I loved reading the scenes with the group being all together, I think that’s my favourite part from this series to be honest!!! Can’t wait to read the next book so excited
