Lisa is property of Syndicorp her biology changed by the introduction of nanites they are currently unstable and running amok. Her cryo chamber is intercepted travelling on a derelict vessel deep in space by pirates looking for salvage and she finds herself awakening on a strange ship.
Initially reticent and playing her cards close to her chest it’s not long before she realises that Syndicorp are trying to terminate her so who better to assist her than the Denaiden Aliens Pirates who also happen to have beef with them the enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that jazz.
Captain Qaiyaan is the leader of this group of alien pirates and instantly feels a connection to their human guest but there’s a problem his race can only mate with one of their own females: the energy release will kill literally fry the brain of his non-Denaiden partner. All their females were eradicated by Syndicorp so he’s more than happy to assist Lisa in her endeavours and there’s something different about her the nanites in her body seem to have changed her basic make-up and she may just be a solution to their lack of suitable mates problem.
So this was an uncomplicated short read it’s extremely instalove and quite sweet which may have been some of my issue. Things are fairly predictable and resolve fast. The writing was ok but the world building lacking. I just couldn’t manage to connect fully with the characters and the chemistry wasn’t working for me either I was also slightly bored nothing majorly wrong here just probably more a case of it's me not you and hence I won’t be continuing further with this series.

I really enjoyed the first book in this new series. Qaiyaan and his crew had just come across another pirate ship trying to salvage a Syndicorp passenger ship which they has just fired on,so he has decided to take over the salvage and maybe make a quick profit as their ship still needs more repairs. Qaiyaan and some of his crew has just boarded the damaged ship when his second in command Noatak informed him a Syndicorp ship was closing fast on their destination. They need to grab what they can and depart quickly when Tovik finds a cryo pod containing a female who he wants to keep. Qaiyaan wants to vent the pod so Syndicop can pick it up, but is forced to take it with them when the other ship fires on the pirate salvage ship and their own damaged passenger ship destroying both. Qaiyaan has taken his crew away from the danger. Now he needs to find out why Syndicorp would destroy two ships and nearly his and why the strange human female who has woken up is setting off his mating instincts and why Syndicorp wants her dead. A big thank you to Tamsin Ley for the totally entertaining review book. Loved it. Highly Recommend this author.

This isn't a bad book, but I was disappointed nonetheless. Obviously I expected some smut but I was mostly hoping for swashbuckling, in space. Doesn't that sound like great fun? Alas, it did not transpire. The pirate action is present but overshadowed by the sexuality.
The grammar is mostly decent, barring a few minor issues.

This is a new author to me; and, one that I most certainly will continue to read. The setting is a favorite of mine, space ships, aliens and interplanetary travel. The story has a bit of a psi factor, as well as, attractive aliens who have copper iridescent skin. The sexual chemistry between Qaiyaan and Lisa is titillating. Looking forward to the next in this series.

I was going to give this three stars for almost the entire book, but when I finished it, everything just felt incredibly convenient and the plot felt a bit lazy to me at times. However, it was still a decent read.

Rescued by Qaiyaan, or was he rescued by her?
I was able to read this book one chapter at a time, as I'm a subscriber to Tamsin's newsletter. I enjoyed reading this book just as much this time around, if not more. At first, I thought Qaiyaan was an unscrupulous pirate, but once I learned about his planet and their heartbreaking event, called the Termination, I wanted to help him and his crew destroy Syndicorp. And then along comes Lisa traveling on Syndicorp ship, being used as an experiment for them. However, it's ironic because that experiment becomes Qaiyaan's saving grace. Did he really rescue her, or did she end up rescuing him? I enjoyed this book so much I bought a copy of it, and I can't wait until the next story comes out!!

I was surprised by the quality of writing, depth of the characters and interesting plot. The h has been 'infected' with nanites, they are killing her. The H is alien, celibate as he believes he will kill anyone he mates. But he's drawn to the h, there's something about her. They have quite an adventure as try to save her life and control their dangerous attraction.

Nanates
Qaiyaan answered a distress signal, only to recover a pod. Another ship destroyed that ship and the distressed one, to boot. Then he looked in the pod and found a beautiful human girl inside. Lisa is his mate, but he can't touch her. You will have to read the book to find out why. But there is a happily ever after to this story.

Noble outcasts/criminals versus evil galactic corporation. Some really creative world building in a somewhat uneven narrative with appealing characters. First in the series, I will probably read the next one.

A voice came over the comm system, warning Captain Qaiyaan of the Hardship to back off of the “salvage� operation that was going on. An unarmed Syndicorp-owned passenger ship had a hole blown in the side, and the other human ship’s lasers were still glowing from recent use. Qaiyaan responded that he would salvage first or the other ship might find itself stranded without a needed critical part for their damaged ship.
The crew members of the Hardship moved over to the passenger ship to bring the cargo over to their cargo bay. Before they got everything, a Syndicorp ship was speeding toward them. About that time, Qaiyaan’s men noticed a cryo-pod with a woman in it, part of the salvaged cargo. They were going to eject her into space for Syndicorp to pick up. But Syndicorp destroyed the damaged human ship, then to the surprise of Qaiyaan, destroyed their own passenger ship! Not knowing why, they could not put the woman into space since she would probably also be blown up.
Lisa woke up in the med bay. She tried to use her nanites to get information from the ship’s computers using the medical diode attached to her temple, but the med computer was not connected to the rest of the ship. She had to go to a panel elsewhere in the ship to make a connection. But she was caught by the First Mate and taken to the captain. The two of them were drawn to each other, but Qaiyaan could not mate with her. Because of their ionic abilities, the pulse that would identify their compatible mate would kill a non-Denaidan. He tested and Lisa again woke up in the med bay. But this time, the doctor thought he could stabilize her condition. Would she be the hope for the possibility of mates for their surviving people? Would she survive Syndicorp’s determined search to destroy her? And what happened to her powerfully cyber-sensitive brother?
This was a very good book that kept my rapt attention throughout. The mystery of what Syndicorp was up to, why they wanted to destroy Lisa, and what happened to her brother was compelling and swept the reader along on their excitement! This is definitely one you won’t want to miss reading!

He and his crew of huge copper skinned Denaidan🐺 males have found a derelict passenger vessel🚀 adrift in a remote area of Syndicorp space. A human pirate ship🚀 is alongside, busily cutting into the hull, but Qaiyaan🐺🍆🌋🔫🔪 drives them off.
Qaiyaan🐺🍆🌋🔫🔪 and his crew of the pirate vessel🚀, HARDSHIP, work fast to empty the derelict vessel's🚀 hold, which is full of medical supplies, crates,and boxes. They also strip electronics and engine parts, even pieces of the hull to use to repair their own hull.
The Denaidan🐺🔫🔪 men are alone in the world🌍, their planet🌍 was sterilized and obliterated by Syndicorp, their women all died of cancer. The Denaidan🐺🔫🔪 men have special properties that make them unique in the universe. They can use self generated Ionic shells to surround themselves and protect themselves from Space for a period of time. No spacesuit needed! They strip the salvage ship🚀 in record time, getting most of the cargo.
They spot a Syndicorp ship🚀 coming towards them and have only minutes to finish the work and get gone. Among the crates is a cryo-pod, and in the cryo-pod is a human woman, Lisa💋💃!

Awesome start!
This was an awesome start to a new series, the Galactic Pirate Brides. The book starts with Lisa, a high tech grifter. She & her brother have been testing new biotechnology for the company who runs everything. Lisa was supposed to be traveling to be with her brother but ends up with Captain Qaiyaan. He belongs to a race that had all of its women killed and most of its men. Because of their mating practices, they aren’t compatible with other species or so they thought. This story is the telling of how Lisa & Qaiyaan fall in love & change things for all of Qaiyaan’s race. I definitely recommend this book!

Mrs. Ley is stretching her writing muscles and branching out in this book all the way to space. I very much enjoyed the world building she worked to setup in this book, and look forward to more in it in the future. I enjoyed the relationship that was developed between the two main characters, Lisa and Qaiyaan. I really enjoyed the fact that Lisa wasn't a useless little girl, but an experienced woman. The situation of the crew was heartbreaking, but certainly brought us closer to them. I look forward to reading more about them too.

This was a pretty good book with an interesting story. I wanted to give it a 3.5 but have never been able to figure out if you can do i rounded to 4. For me it was at a 3.5 because maybe I misread or missed something all together but there was a certain part pertaining to resonance between 2 individuals and it just got confusing. And while the aliens weren't super different from humans they were a little bit and their backstory was interesting. I also liked how actual alien words and expressions were used. Overall a decent story with a promising future.

I enjoyed this one. I luved the part where our main male (alien) character couldn't have sex with the (human) female because it would literally blow her mind! Space pirates with a conscious. That was my favorite part of the book because I think it is super original.
"Big Business" wiped out almost an entire race and does whatever possible to cover it up, not so for from reality if you think about it.
I think this has a good balance of sci-fi and romance with some original ideas in the story. A good read. RECOMMENDED

I just finished reading Rescued by Qaiyaan and very much enjoyed it. It felt like a sci-fi movie. Good action and fun ensemble cast of characters. Good sexual tension, con job and outsmarting the big corporate bad guys. Tech and tinkering. Loved it. These love-lorn space pirates are most intriguing as a species. I can’t wait to read more, but this story had a pretty satisfying conclusion. Well edited as well!

Characters that draw you into the story and hoping that they will be able to have a HEA.
What is a alien supposed to do when he can't be with any female since his world and species was attacked? He goes after the corporation that did it, pirating their ships wherever his crew finds them. She is a unexpected part of the loot. Read this book to see how he finally gets a female of his own.

Absolutely loved it.

Alien pirates pick up more than they counted on when they raided the ship carrying Lisa. Super secret technology embedded in Lisa's brain are both a blessing and a curse. Lisa turns out to be much more than a science project and the attraction she feels towards Qaiyaan is beyond explanation.

Tamsin Ley has created a unique and wonderfully different world build, and , happily, not the tired formula of so much SFR. I am absolutely looking forward to the continuation of this series. Interesting
This was an entertaining read, I wasn’t blown away by it, but it has some very original ideas. I probably would’ve liked it better if it were a bit longer, I feel like it could’ve been more than it ended up being.
The author has potential, just needs a bit more patience to give the story time to mature.

Oh Wow!!!
This book was amazeballs! Qaiyaan sounds like he would be super sexy! And the rest of the crew too!! Now, the author gets into a lot of science that I had a hard time understanding, but it doesn't take away from the story.

An intense and excellent story. He is an alpha alien on a mission to kill. In comes a woman into the mix in her own way. It is an action packed, hot, suspenseful and mysterious read. I recommend it. i was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
