With the majestic Rocky Mountains just outside the window, I sit at my computer with vampires, demons, witches, faeries, and a variety of paranormal creatures gathered around telling me their stories! That makes me an author of paranormal romance novels and cozy mysteries with magic spark. The everyday world is mundane, but sprinkle a little magic and you have fantastic!

Colorado is home. I share my life with a wonderful husband of many moons, our brilliant Chow Chow, a terribly spoiled companion parrot, and a forty-year-old
box turtle. We enjoy hiking, biking, and camping, also love water sports including kayaking and whitewater
rafting, especially on the Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge.

Another passion of mine is reading a good novel. You can find me any winter evening curled up in front
of a crackling fire with a good book, a mug of hot chocolate, and a big bowl of popcorn. While growing up, if I didn’t like the ending of a book, I’d rewrite it, which led to writing my own books.

Reluctantly, I discovered that in real life it’s tough to rewrite an ending.

Prudish Trinity Shilo is the assistant manager for Salem’s Wildlife Sanctuary, a wildlife reserve. Working together with new employee Paul, she senses he’s different from other men. She likes him and wonders if he likes her. When they are called in to help at Puffin Cover Rescue, what they discover is shocking. Someone has burned down the rescue building, almost like they want it closed down for good. Wounded and scared animals are everywhere. Trinity and Paul work on gathering up the animals and hosting an ice cream social to raise money to rebuild. Magic is unleashed and they must work together if they are to solve the mystery. Will magic bind these two souls together or will Paul’s PTSD destroy their budding romance?

Chocolate Raspberry Magic is a heartening paranormal romance I couldn’t put down. Tena Stetler has an honest, heartfelt love of all animals and in this story, she takes the reader inside the ins and outs of a wildfire rescue. She also sheds new light on PTSD and how it can affect a soldier long after they are pulled out of the battlefield. The descriptive narration delves the reader deep into the characters psyches and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The romance between Trinity and Paul is a slow-burning workplace romance. There’s plenty of obstacles for these two to work through but the suffering is worth it in the end. Magic can heal immense pain, and this is the main theme of Chocolate Raspberry Magic. That, and ice cream. Tena Stetler is a gifted writer, and her stories keep getting better and better. If you’re looking for an emotional story with plenty of heart, pick up Chocolate Raspberry Magic. If you’re feeling low, you’ll be lightened by this story. Highly recommend!

I liked this easy to read romance although, reading the series in order probably would have made a difference to my rating. I was quite confused with all the characters at the beginning of the book. This is a romance story about a man and woman working to save the animals and rebuild after a bird sanctuary burns down. Lots of information about this type of not-for-profit and about the birds. I expected more emotion in such tragic and subsequent uplifting storylines. I also was expecting this book to be a modern romance but about halfway through the author introduced magic. It was a fun and interesting perspective.

Sweet and educational, Chocolate Raspberry magic shows us an in-depth look into the world of rescue animals. For some reason I thought this was a mystery story but it is not. It is a slow build romance between Trinity and Paul. Trinity helps manage a wildlife sanctuary. Paul works as the "computer" guy for the wildlife sanctuary.

Trinity Shilo is the assistant manager at Salem's Wildlife Rescue and has been on a few dates with Paul Thorp, a new employee whom she likes very much. Paul is a former Special Forces veteran who is now working security and computer support. He's fought hard to battle his demons and feels like he's ready for a real relationship, especially if it's with Trinity. When a fire breaks out at another rescue, they're called in to help, both with recovery and with the planned fundraiser. They're soon in a place where magic is released. So, will it bring them together or force them apart?

I received a copy of this book from Hidden Gems and this is my honest, unbiased review. I really enjoyed this book which is first in a new series. This quick, fun read was well-written with a wonderful cast of characters. The magic aspect makes for a great fantasy and an enjoyable read. This is a definite and must read in my opinion and I'm looking forward to the next book very much. I do hope that there'll be more to come of the wildlife rescues as that was a major draw for me. I highly recommend this book.

If you love animals, you can’t help but love Tena Stetler’s Chocolate Raspberry Magic. The story will steal your heart. Set around a small town Wildlife Sanctuary and reserve, the story centers on heroine, Trinity Shilo, a witch and the manager of Salem’s Wildlife Sanctuary Reserve. Intrigue builds when Paul Thorpe, a new employee, catches Trinity’s eye. He’s unlike the men she’s dated before, and she’s attracted to him, but PTSD haunts Paul.

When the Puffin Cove rescue center burns down, the two are thrown into a mystery to determine who set the fire and why. With well-developed characters, a wildlife shelter setting, and supernatural elements, Chocolate Raspberry Magic is like a multi-faceted diamond. The slow-burn romance sheds light on PTSD, and the animal rescue backdrop creates a heartwarming storyline.

Tene Stetler’s creative talent shines in Chocolate Raspberry Magic. I highly recommend this book and author. A gifted supernatural writer, Stetler never disappoints.

Chocolate Raspberry Magic is my first read by author Tena Stetler. Despite the fact I felt as if I’d dropped in on the storyline without a guide, I loved the charm exhibited in this book. I’m a huge fan of both chocolate and raspberry and will definitely be finding a place that serves it together. This book, although part of a series, is a stand-along read. The characters are wonderful, and the wide cast of those who absolutely love taking care of animals of all kinds touched me in their zeal to do right by even the smallest rescue baby. I am an advocate for animal rescue, and it was fantastic reading about furry and feathered creatures. The addition of Ashes and Licorice made this reviewer tear up. I will certainly be looking at the previous books to learn more about the wonderful cast of people I became fond of in this latest book from Ms. Stetler. Not to be left out of the mix, we have the hero, Paul Thorp, and heroine, Trinity Shilo. They are a pair to be reckoned with and their romance was just topping on the ice cream cone. The magical element involving the cabin the rescuers used was unique and makes me wish I could utilize that same element in everyday life. If you haven’t read any of Tena’s books, don’t miss out on the joy I found in reading Chocolate Raspberry Magic.

Very seldom do I find a shorter novella style story to be such a complete and fun story. This story centers around the animal rescue of Puffin Cove where they reach out after a disastrous fire breaks out and Salem and Lobster Cove answer the call to help. After securing the animals and assessing the damage, the ladies whom we have met in previous books, Hidden Gypsy Magic and A Witch’s Journey, decide that a fundraiser is due. And if animal rescue isn’t enough, there is a wonderful romance brewing between Trinity and Paul. Paul is a veteran, who has episodes of PTSD, but is making great progress at the Salem Rescue. When they are all called out to help, they find a way to pick up the pieces, and help out while finding their love for each other.
Personally, I am a volunteer member of a rescue, and when you toss in the magic of the cabin, and the people with the animals, with a nice love story, I’m all in. The magic in this book is subtle and although not the focus and overbearing, but nicely tied in to make it believable and it was fun to come back to the characters (and the cabin) from previous books. It felt like a warm familiar blanket on a cold day. And let’s not forget Misfit, Ashes and Licorice.

Chocolate Raspberry Magic by Tena Stetler is a must-read for every animal lover on vacation. The beautiful moments between heroine Trinity and her rescue parrot, Ashes, melted my heart. The gentle heroine brings light and healing to everyone she meets including love interest Paul. Paul is a veteran who works at the animal rescue and suffers from PTSD. The patience, acceptance, and accommodation shown by Trinity gave her a place on my favorite heroine’s list. Reading his growth with her tender guidance, was beautiful. With magic, animal interactions, a stunning seaside setting, and the best cabin ever, this book had everything a paranormal romance reader loves.

I highly recommend this book to the animal lover and the paranormal romance reader who is looking for a feel-good beach read.

Part of the One Scoop or Two series a well written short story that kept me turning pages. Trinity Shilo and Paul Thorp a wounded Special Forces veteran join forces with a group of friends and family to save Puffin Cove Rescue. There is magic, drama, two animal rescues, a villain, ice cream, a social fundraiser, and romance. This was a well written story that I was not putting down until I had finished reading it. A fast paced read with several characters all helping a wildlife rescue after a damaging fire. Trinity and Paul both work for the neighboring Salem Wildlife Sanctuary and respond with their boss/friends to Puffin Cove to help with the animals and to organize a fundraiser to pay for rebuilding.

The relationship between Trinity and Paul heats up and moves beyond ‘just friends to lovers while on site in Puffin Cove. There is a significant amount of story contained within this story - novella length.

I received an ARC from Hidden Gems and the author, and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second story I have read featuring these characters and I liked the ease to it and the way communities came together and helped those that needed it. It was nice to catch up with past characters who I connected to when reading Gwen and Brock's story, and to see Trinity and Paul's relationship blossom and bloom with love.

When a fire burns down an animal sanctuary, can they pull together the resources necessary to not only save the lives of the animals, but to build a new shelter?

I enjoyed Tena Stetler's Chocolate Raspberry Magic. The characters were interesting, and I loved watching how the side characters interacted with them, each providing something vital to the story. What a sweet story about love, sacrifice, magic, and friendship!

Magic and Ice Cream blend together in this lovely story. Ms. Stetler builds the romance between the two main characters in a believable way. Tiffany and Paul make a great couple. Animal rescue is a passion of mine and the hearts and thoughts of the characters are realistic. It was a little confusing with so many characters at first but well worth figuring them out because each one brings something to the table. I won't spoil it, but I want that house. Highly recommend this paranormal romance.

This is a fun read! While hurt animals isn't fun the story of the different personalities was. Animal rescue is close to my heart so I enjoyed reading this book. I need a cabin like the one here. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and freely leave this honest review.
