Between going out with his celebrity crush and his mom's campaign to be the next town mayor, Danny's got a lot to learn about life in the spotlight.
When Danny Constantino asks his old-friend-turned-Hollywood-movie-star, Natalie Flores Griffin, to his school dance and homecoming parade, she surprises him . . . by saying yes! Unfortunately, now everyone in Cuper Cove has something to say about Danny's love life--especially since Natalie is the hometown hero. Throw in herds of TV reporters and NFG groupies, his mom using Natalie's arrival for free publicity, and a pep rally gone horribly, horribly awry, and Danny's left clueless in this new world of crushes and becoming (kind of) famous.
Danny is between his crush on a famous actress and his mother's political campaign. When he asks Natalie Flores Griffin, a famous hometown actress, to a school dance, everyone in town starts talking. With TV reporters and fans showing up, Danny is lost in this world of fame and crushes. I found the way that Danny sent an email to Natalie Flores Griffin interesting. Someone sent an email to her from his phone, leaving him no choice but to wait for her response. I also enjoyed the childhood friends-to-lovers relationship dynamic. Another enjoyable thing was Danny and Natalie's connection growing throughout the book. I love a book with some romance! Overall, this was such a cute book!
