The memory erase is getting convenient and the main plot seems kind of stalled. The villain doesn¡¯t seem to have much motive but maybe the personal references mean something eventually is coming?

Faerie Dreaming

Sometimes when I get to the end of a series and see it says to be continued but I haven't seen a new book come out or find any mentions of a new volume to come with little but placeholder date (like the last day of next year) then I get a feeling of dread that the series has been canceled but I have not heard for sure so one can always hope. Even though the artwork disagrees with me at times I find that I do like the characters and the story of two children having grown up in two different worlds after they were switched and are now working together to solve cases is an interesting plot. I just hope more will come out seeing as this volume does not resolve the case with the mysterious man in black and we are now introduced to a human officer who might bring a new level of interest into Jack's life.

Of the stories within we see Jack is looking into the strange drug that has been trafficked in her area that has the side affect of allowing people to cross into the faerie realm, a tale of the flying pizza god (no relation to the spaghettis monster), a story about a boy with a talent for gadgets finds a comforting companion, Jack's dragon gets out and goes on a house call, and finally Jack meets the man in black once more who appears to be meddling with the barrier between the human and he faerie world. However he is a slippery type and might be the Moriarty to Jack's Sherlock in the future. :)

More of a 3.5 star rating;
It took a while but I¡¯m now invested in this Ancient Magus¡¯ Bride spin-off series. However, the thing that will stop me from collecting it physically is the long amount of time it takes for each volume to get published.
Even though I liked the cliffhanger ending, I¡¯m very confused on what the man in black¡¯s motivations are. The chapters surrounding the orphan boy and the dragon chick were very cute.

Can¡¯t say I enjoyed this volume as much as others. The cliffhanger was good but the plot is very similar to that of its sister story, The Ancient Magus Bride. However it was still good. 3.9/5

Jack's further cases are interesting, with some emotional moments. Artwork's still a bit on the rough side. Definitely did not expect the flying pizza monsters.

It¡¯s fine. The art is pretty. The stories are a bit disjointed and I¡¯m having a hard time getting emotionally invested.
