The Witch's Brew by Elle Hartford As leaves fall and the seasons turn, travelling alchemist Red is about to make her dream come true: a potions shop that's all her own. That is, until a dead witch and an overzealous police officer start haunting Red's every move! Red's about to find out that life in small town Belville isn't all fairy tales and potions . . . especially on All Hallow's Eve.
The Vanishing Witch by Connie B. Dowell New witch Poppy Ashfield is worried about bringing her potion to the October witches' potluck... and it goes even worse than she fears when someone switches the potions and a witch vanishes! Can Poppy find the culprit and the disappeared woman?
Corpse in the Cauldron by Heather Huffman Life has been a series of misadventures ever since Nora Jones inherited her uncle’s bookshop. Just when she thinks things are finally settling down, a corpse is found in a neighbor’s shop, a witchy store called The Cauldron. Samara may be a witch, but she’s no murderer, so Nora sets out to solve the case—with the help of her greyhound Margo and her best friend August, of course!
Azure and the Case of the Cauldron of Lies by Verena DeLuca Since you have been deemed trustworthy—only seven other humans know I'm a dragon parading around as a black cat. I've decided to reward you with the most delicious contents of this cauldron, you're going to gag with delight. Join me as I sniff out the person brave enough to leave a dead body at a trunk or treat event.

Sabetha is an eccentric introvert located in Central Texas, in a Stars Hollow-esque small town. Her default language is sarcasm, and is fueled by coffee. As a life long bibliophile, she reads and edits all genres but specializes in fantasy and cozy mysteries. Her degree in interpersonal communication helps her over-analyze characters that are only found in stories. She spends her days with her daughter and dude walking trails and drinking coffee. Did we mention she’s enjoys a great cup of coffee?
The Anthology provides six spine-tingling Halloween themed cozy mysteries. This is a wonderful way to get a sample of each author’s writing style. The books are quick, fun reads that let you test your mystery-solving skills against the experts. Grab your copy and see if you can find the solutions along with the sleuth gathering the clues! But I wouldn't advise tasting the "soup" in the cauldron!

This collection of six cozy holiday mysteries was a delightful Halloween treat. While all of the stories were fantastic, I bought this collection because Nora Jones, a new, quirky sleuth created by author Heather Huffman was a part of it.
A handful of the characters readers have been introduced to in the first two books of Huffman’s new series make an appearance, including Margo, a retired greyhound, and August, a groovy hippie chick who works in Nora’s book shop. Rafael Medero, Nora’s good-looking detective boyfriend, is on the case when a dead body is found in The Cauldron, a shop run by a witch—and a friend to both Nora and August. The two of them decide to find out who died in The Cauldron and how. Just like the first two novels in the Nora Jones Mystery Series, this tale is full of twists, turns and a good dose of humor. While A Cauldron of Deceptions is a short story, Huffman provides all the components of a full-length novel, delivering an intriguing, well-rounded mystery all cozy—and Halloween fans will surely enjoy.
This fun collection of cozy mystery shorts was a light, enjoyable read at a time when I wanted a break from heavier psychological thrillers I seem to have been leaning toward lately.
The stories are all well done, the characters great, and they make a great collection. If you enjoy coy mysteries, this is definitely a must buy!
A Cauldron of Deceptions by Verena DeLuca and A Corpse in the Cauldron by Heather Huffman were my favorites.
Thanks to Booksprout for approving an ARC at my request. All thoughts are my own.

received a free advance review copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily providing my honest review. What a great collection of stories from some new authors (to me) and some favorites. These stories are short enough to read in one sitting and which is great. I enjoyed this book and recommend it.
This is a delightfully charming anthology full of clever little shorts. You can read right through these adorable little things. You will probably recognize the authors who wrote them . I definitely recommend this wonderful anthology.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed this collection of quick quirky sleuth tales, with a bit of magic/supernatural mixed in. I laughed about the humourous name of lawyer's office in the first book, and enjoyed all the entertainment of these mystery books. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Six short stories, fast reads, but great ways to sample the authors work! As always, with these kinds of anthologies, there were stories I absolutely LOVED and some that I liked just a little bit less. But I did find some new-to-me authors whose books I will definitely be reading! And that’s the reason I am so fond of these collections. And that’s why I do highly recommend it!
suspense filled, frightening, macabre and scary collection of cauldron and spooky themed mysteries and whodunnits
funny, sweet, spooky, intrigue and insightful- and bizarre!
fun new reading from authors I know and am fond of, as well as new to me authors . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a lighthearted and fun compilation of witchy stories. I would’ve given it a 4 stars if not for the Azure and the Case of the Cauldron of Lies. Bad grammar, mistakes, bad spelling, poor editing definitely no proof reading. What a mess! So, 3 stars it is.
This was a fun anthology, and it has helped me identify authors whose full-length books I should read. Nothing too gory or scary, lots of classic witchy story elements, and fun characters.
A Cauldron of Deceptions by Verena DeLuca et al. This is a delightful collection of holiday mysteries. The characters are great and the stories are well done. The stories are very entertaining. It is a great read. Pick this up and enjoy.
Picked this up at a book festival. Too many editing mistakes were distracting. A short story collection about witches and mysteries. Kind of like a Hallmark show. Not enough grit for me. Too light
If you want to just have fun reading some stories about cauldrons and how fascinating they can be, this is the book for you. They are cute stories with real humans, but also some other "creatures" thrown in for good measure. This is a good collection.
