Part two was a hell of a ride with twists and turns and verrrry interesting revelations!
We start the book where we left off in the first installment, so if you're not sure, just reread the last few chapters, and you'll be good to go!
Nova and Cain are such a power couple. If only they weren't beset by enemies 24/7 so they could rest and recuperate. I love their interaction, which, I have to admit, tends to be slightly deranged, but then again, they're always half dead or half asleep from exhaustion... so yeah!
The non-stop action keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the revelations about Nova and Cain are fascinating, to say the least!
We also learn more about the High Council and the other players (and enemies) in this high-stakes game.
Oh, and we also get to see how freaking awesome Red is (the bike Nova rides)!!
All in all, I really like this series, though I'm not sure when we'll get book 3, unfortunately :(

Classic Avery book, but what really caught my attention was the fact their were not as many hot and steamy parts, which was a nice change. Sometimes it gets a bit much ( in all romance books, not just Averys) so it is nice to just see the story itself develop.
Nova is one bad ass bitch who does not take shit from anyone. Where can I find a friend like her?
The more Nova discovers about herself and her Allyson, the more invested in the book I became. It got me in all the feels. Cain can be my BFF too! He is so thoughtful and cares for Nova so much it hurts!

Briefly, this middle outing is packed tying off threads as the pages turn. Highlights her include parameters on Nova’s powers and her past, the creation of her mini-pack; a future that details a new path for her as well as the mating getting underway. Plus, the root of Amodeus� altered fascination and rooting out traitors leads to a way to break the back of the conspiracy and reveal a deadly enemy.
Again, far too many similarities (more than half the outing) for this reader’s taste as it brought its sister Syndicate series to the forefront of this reader’s mind. A struggle ensued but trying to rate the read fairly.

What a pageturner this was! Nova, her beginning relationship with Cain, her bestie, her besties men� The drama continues on. I have been living and breathing Novacane’s story for two days now, rereading the first book before jumping into this one with a refreshed memory. I was not disappointed at all. Nova will stay on my mind for days or weeks before im in a new readingslump.. They seem to happen more and more to me theese days, i know its because i fall hard for the books I’m reading and refuses to let them end but its getting a bit ridiculous. I cannot recommend this story enough!!!

This book had me in tears and ready to go staby staby on an Alpha. I loved how this book took and unexpected twist that I haven’t seen yet in Avery Stone’s books. Having such a playful albeit quirky heroine who rubs off on anyone who gets to know her, makes for an amazing read. I honestly can’t wait to see what happens next in this series. Especially when we get the best of both worlds between the Shifter Syndicate and Tainted Syndicate.

Nova and Cain are Awesome
I really enjoyed this book. Nova and Cain are are a power couple. It was really awesome to get to meet their third personality in this book. My emotions was going all over the place because of the situation Nova was put in. The ending in this book was just awesome and well deserved. Avery did such a really good job on this book. I can’t wait for the next one

Outplaying the competition at its finest (Spoilers)
I love how there are levels to Avery's madness. Her characters stay outmanuvering the enemy in every book. In the Shadows Unleashed book, Nova destroyed Dia in how she outmanuevered her in every situation. In this book, Brooke and her crew of merry men were amazing. I can wait to see how they outmanuever Asmodeus/Dia and Zed once and for all.

It is an amazing story with character growth, twists and turns and plots you don’t see coming.
