Perfect, powerful, and obsessed with tradition, omega Thran is the strongest warrior in a clan of reclusive forest dragons. There isn’t a challenge he can’t overcome—except for dealing with the fire dragon outsider Baleon, who’s been a pain in his ass since the day their worlds collided. Thran wants nothing to do with the showboating, freewheeling, and irritatingly attractive alpha—but a mutual need forces him into an arrangement from hell: he must learn firefighting from Baleon.
Baleon is a simple alpha who only wants one thing: to get good enough to defeat Thran in a fight. Now he finally has the opportunity to take the flawless omega down a peg and prove himself a real warrior, but when it comes time to work together with his sworn frenemy, the ghosts of their respective pasts stand firmly in the way. Baleon is resolved to break the domineering omega’s battle-worn defenses—but he quickly discovers there’s a thin line between burning hatred and all-consuming lust.
Frenemies from Forests is the seventh book in the Dragon Firefighters mpreg series. It expands on the characters and story introduced in the previous books, and while it can be enjoyed as a standalone it’s recommended you read the preceding books first. This book features: Enemies-to-lovers, hurt-comfort, adorable dragon orphans, a power-bottom omega, socially awkward forest dragons, someone getting tied to a tree, a naughty dragon tail, fast-paced action, an industrial fantasy setting, and as always, a happily ever after!
Fun characters, page turning action, unique settings and of course, steamy, heart-pounding gay romance are all staples in an Ashe Moon Mpreg novel. All of Ashe's books are standalone but take place within shared universes (Shifter and Non-Shifter respectively), building upon each other to create an exciting journey for you!
All books contain lots of heat! Mature readers only!

This was a really fun dragon enemies-to-lovers MM story (frenemies, shh, any friendly feelings were only due to the mutual friends)!! I laughed so much, damn I love Thran & Baleon's chemistry! The other characters were fun too 😍, the sweet little girls were at the heart, whoop :-D.
I had only intended to give myself a taste, yet here I am, completing this story 🥰.
Thran (forest dragon) & Baleon (fire dragon) fighting was enjoyable. Thran is so cool, calm while Baleon is all show-off & spontaneity, they complement eachother well! It's lovely to see Baleon thaw his defenses. The fire between them changed from hate to lust, in a really hot way 😁. The romance was sweet & cute.
Not gonna lie, the last few chaps got my heart beating fast & that mountain, was that a volcano? Definitely felt inspired by it!
I loved the ending, heh! Mates 💕.
So this book introduced me to Ashe moon! Yay. I'd definitely read this series fully sometime, the world building was good, I think it's in a seperate reality of its own? No one has phones 🤷. Imma gotta read the previous books for that clue, will write a bigger review when I do!
It was okay, the author did say it can be read as a stand-alone but best read in order. She wasn’t lying, I was confused a lot lol. It was a little rushed in the end but still cute Steam-2.5/5
I think this one was my favourite! I feel like every time I read one of these Dragon Firefighter book I say that but really it was! I need more enemies to lovers in the omegaverse, it made my heart sing!! Thran & Baleon’s chemistry was on point! I loved Balean’s playfulness and inexperience and Thran’s strength! I can’t wait for the next book!
I love this series so much! Such a fun take on dragon shifters. This book is the first I’ve rated as 4 stars instead of 5 stars, though. I don’t know if the author was in a rush to get the book out for a deadline or some other reason, but Thran and Baleon’s story was weirdly paced in comparison to previous books. Their romance was heavy on the enemies-to-lovers trope as it says in the blurb, but their transition to lovers felt rushed in comparison to the tension buildup. I think that’s what made me feel like the book ended rather abruptly; not with an annoying cliffhanger, though, thankfully.
Also, the mpreg aspect of this series has taken a real backseat in these last few books. Not saying every book should follow the usual ‘meet, mate, preggo route, but I was actually expecting it in this one when the author wrote in the last book’s afterword that this book would return to the more classical structure of the first two books, which does have that usual mpreg flow.
Still, a good read well worth the time and looking forward to the next additions to the series!
I really enjoyed reading this delightfully, sweet “enemies to lovers MM dragon shifter romance and it can easily be read as a standalone even though it is the seventh book in the series. There is good building with detailed scenes and the plot is entertaining & easy to read. The main characters (a male omega forest dragon shifter, Thran) & (an alpha male fire-breathing dragon shifter, Baleon) are well-developed & are portrayed as emotionally flawed individuals striving against each other but then the chemistry flares. The secondary characters offer good support. There is: fire & ice dragon shifters, humans, omegas, alphas, firefighters, protectors, forest spirits, a sacred mountain, dragon hatchlings, friendship, drama, intrigue, some suspense, twists & turns, humor, rivalry, annoyance, arrogance, competitiveness, playfulness, strange attractions, mild confrontations, complications, danger, compromises, steamy scenes & a satisfying conclusion for this couple.
This is Baleon and Thran's story. Baleon is Layne's younger brother and part of the Brandy Oak Fireflight. Thran is a Forrest Dragon introduced in the last book. He is part of a Warrior Omega team along with his cousins Istil and Visir. They are part of the Othos Clan their duty is to protect the mountain. Both Baleon and Thran are struggling with who they are and haunted by thier past. Aerin and Haru are looking to find homes for Nova and Juno, and are hoping the Othos clan will take them in, with Baleon so attached to the two girls he goes along to oversee the process. A deal is made between Thran and Baleon. Baleon willl train the Othos clan how to fight fires and Thran will attempt to find a place for the girls. Baleon and Thran have a supercharged rivalry and constantly fight, even the attraction to each other. Can they let go of their past and find a future together?
Stubborn, arrogant, annoying... he's just your kind. So why does he challenge you so much?
This is such a fantastic series...I love it! I have been waiting for this book. It exceeded my expectations. From the first pages I was drawn back into this wonderful world. It has fire & ice dragons, Othos dragons... the forest "spirits", adorable fledgling dragons, humans, and a sleeping sacred mountain. It also has two stubborn, annoying, arrogant dragons; constantly challenging each other until they finally crash in a tangle of teeth, lips and limbs. Yes, the sex is as streaming as the hot springs. Get ready for a wild flight, with twists and turns, and yes skimming! You are simply gonna love this book. Get. It. Now!
Baleon and Thran I like two peas in a pod. Both are stubborn, feel like they have something to prove, and can't stand to lose. The two of them when they meet is like fire and gasoline. They both irritate The living daylights out of each other. As time moves on they try to work past their differences and likenesses. It takes a lot of work to get through all their issues. Then all of a sudden all it takes is for the mountain to decide it's going to erupt. Nothing brings two people closer than the fear of tragedy and loss. When they realize they work well together will things definitely change? You'll have to read this book to find out it'll be totally worth it.
I love the new covers, and gosh, I love the new dragons. They're so interesting. I just can't... Ashe Moon created such an interesting world in these books and I just... I'm trying to write too, but I know I could never create such a world, so I'm stuck writing about the same boring world we have, though better and with more magic. But this kind of a world.... It's so amazing and fascinating. I wish these books would just keep coming, Ashe Moon writing more and more books from this world, from nearby towns or something, with new couples, and more dragons and baby dragons, because it's an amazing world. And I love dragons, and good dragon books are hard to find. I'm so glad I have these ones, to help soothe my love of dragons🩷🩷🩷
Another favorite from the series🥺♥️😭, their energy, their dynamic, they low-key reminded me of Harlow and Benito from say I do. They pushed and challenged each other, like they didn't back down, It was full force, they didn't even try to " soften" their approach cause the felt they had to be gentle towards each other.
force, roughness, violence is kinda their way of flirting /foreplay is the vibe I got from them🤭😩🔥 And I loved it.
Thran bathong🥺😭 nje he was experiencing growing pains, there's no other way I Saw it but that. He had become so comfortable in the Otho way that when it came time to change and adapt to save his clan It was difficult, but he did it at the end🥺😍♥️.
Thran finds Baleon so annoying but must work with him to learn haw to fight fires. Omega Thran belongs to a clan of dragons that have remained hidden from human and in his clan omegas become the protectors of it. Now he must work with Fire dragon Baleon who is a member of a group who act as firefighters that protect two towns from outbreaks of fire. The problem is Thran finds Baleon so annoying and never seems to be serious about anything. As they try to work together but Thran start to notice things about Baleon the arouse him. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Baleon and Thran are so much a like, stubborn, proud, both with his own chip on his shoulder. But what is also true is that they have much to gain from banning together. They complement one another and that annoys each of them. But as they wake up and realize that working together will not only help each find love and create family not only for themselves but the orphans that Baleon really loves, but is also necessary to help save life on the mountain when danger threatens. This was another good story in the series. These dragons are such a lovely found family, such good servants and good nurturers. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ashe, please keep going! at least 1 or 2 more! If there's not another full story for a couple, you could do a mash-up and let us get one last visit and update with everyone.
Baleon and Thran are an unlikely couple off gate, but opposites definitely attract here. The steamy bits were really hot and fit well into the storyline. I've been looking forward to this book it seems like forever lol but it was definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend this series and this author.
DRAGON FIREFIGHTERS Book #7 is intense. ASHE MOON took this Book to the limits. Baleon the youngest in Brandy Oaks flight learns life lessons. Growing into yourself is a tough challenge. Thran is an ancient Protector of Silver Mountain. These two clash in the heat of what they believe. Letting yourself let go of the negativity in the past lets you blossom into full bloom. This Book is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS DRAGON FIREFIGHTERS SERIES!!!!!!!!!!
I love this series. Dragons are very much a part of me, always have been, always will be. This series depicts dragons in a way I'm not sure I've ever read. I enjoyed the flights' bro dynamics and their deep devotion to one another. Ashe's ability to describe scenes and people is just like an artist painting on a canvas. There is such depth and clarity. It's a truly beautiful story and I hope to read Book 20 someday.
. . . É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Amei! . . Boa Leitura 😘
Absolutely fantastic! Ashe Moon has outdone herself with this one! Baleon has always been one if my favourite characters and his story is nothing less than truly spectacular! He could not have been paired with someone better suited for him than Thran. Their competitiveness is only rivalled by their chemistry. Absolutely loved this book! Easily one of my all time favourites!
Everytime I read a new book in this series it just keeps on getting better and better. I absolutely love Baleon and Thran!! I love an amazing enemies to lovers story and this definitely has ticked all my boxes. It is juts so great to see when they figure out they are better together. I can't wait for the next book!
I hope this is not the end! I'm so in love with the dragons. Thran is my new favorite, lol!! He was harass and sexy, and gave Baleon a run for his money. But Baleon never gave up, even when he was down. Good series! Can't wait for the next book..I'm hoping there's a next book!! Read this series, starting with book 1 and you will definitely be in love too!!
This series just keeps.getting better!! The line between love and hate is always thin. Baleos and Thran are Eternal Rivals that become more. Both need to complete a journey of self realization and forgiveness. When these two hurt I cried for them. Please read this series. It can be read as a standalone but you will enjoy it much more if you read it in order.
A step up from the last book with the consistent disappointment at the end. At this point in the series all of the books have mirror ending where the characters confess there love out of the blue and then bam....HEA. Now I love a good HEA but the way it happens matters and if it's done as an afterthought it will effect the story as a whole.
This book deals with another super strong omega! Baleon an alpha and Thran an omega are trying to prove which of them is the strongest when a love connection turns awry. This book deals with two dragons trying to look to the future while holding on to their pasts. Great read for all.
Baleon and Thran were great together, watching them battle it out (oh the tension) was so much fun. I enjoyed seeing them realize that they were strongest together. A fantastic addition to the series.
I absolutely lost myself in this book. The charactes are wonderful, the story pulls you in, the feelings entangle you....my heart needed this book and I definitely recommend,
I really enjoyed this book. There were several parts that seemed to drag out but good overall. Thran and Baleon had so much tension between them throughout that you never knew which way things would go.
I received an advanced copy of this book and was not required to leave a review.
The ending was VERY rushed and crammed in as an afterthought. There was a lot of repetitive 'in head/though dialogue. This book just did not flow like earlier books in this series.
Thran and the Silver Mountain were introduced in Book 6. This is a fantastic story for Baleon and Thran. And get more of the story of the forest and earth. Really well done.
Thran is one of the omega dragons the town thought of as Spirits. Baleon is on of the firefighter dragons. Hopefully they can find common ground before tragedy strikes Silver Mountain.
I loved the intensity of chapter 14. Felt like it brought something different to this book than the others. It didn’t really say and I know long distance isn’t ideal but I hope Baleon stays with his flight
