Gone to the Dogs

Rate this book
Miss Piggy, everyone's favorite vamp-turned-mutt, is back for another matchmaking adventure! Shipped off to Arizona to work as a pet therapy dog, Piggy now lives with Nell Jordan, a freelance journalist living a hand-to-mouth existence writing human interest stories and volunteering for her pet therapy group, "Hearts of Gold." When one of the most curmudgeonly patients on their visiting route dies, Nell is shocked to learn that he's left $12 million...to Piggy! Miss Piggy's all-too-human-spirit is thrilled by her nouveau riche status, but foiled by her doggy exterior—and by the presence of Dan Travis, Nell's new boyfriend. Piggy's convinced that Dan's only after Nell's—er, Piggy's —money, and is determined to break them up. But Dan has secrets bigger than that, and as he falls harder and harder for Nell, they threaten to blow up in his face.

Delightfully fun adventures of a Corgi as well as insight into the growth of relationships both canine and human.

3rd book in the corgi series. Miss Piggy was given to Nell in AZ and was turned into a therapy dog and one of her patients left her 12 million dollars in a trust fund. Nell is the person responsible for taking care of Miss Piggy and gets a yearly salary to do so. The grandson is trying to find out what kind of things she did to his grandfather to get him to leave her that amount of money and it was all very comical. I loved this book and the people in it. There are more in the series but they don't have to do with the corgi. We met McKenna an attorney with a cat and she is the next one in the series. I am sure there is mystery and mayhem in that one too.

I really enjoyed the adventures of Piggy - the corgi! This one I think was the best one, but to be fair, you should make sure you read this one last! All of the books, including this one are a fun read. I really liked the idea in this book of scholarships for therapy dog training, why doesn't any program have this sort of thing? I have two dogs that would be great therapy dogs but the training it takes to certify them is out of my price range! I am wondering if that was a real program at one point or I am just looking in the wrong places to find how to apply for a scholarship! I digress...this book was a good read I highly suggest it for a fast fun read!

Cute series! A gorgeous, self-absorbed, scheming woman has to come back as a chubby little corgi and help people in order to earn her place in heaven. In this book, she's gone to a new home and become a therapy dog. An old man leaves her and her new owner a fortune and now "Piggy" thinks Nell's new love is a gold digging lowlife who needs to be chased away.

An interesting concept. A woman passes away and she is sent back to earth as, Piggy, a corgi dog.
Piggy keeps the story interesting with her antics. It's what I call a fluff read.

This book probably deserves a higher rating. I found it cute and enjoyable, but not something I'd add to my keeper shelf.
