I'm about a third the way through and am very impressed with how he covers each topic very succinctly and clearly. I've written a few android games before reading this book, and now I can see that I've been hacking a lot of code together. He provides a nice, structured framework to base your code around that makes sense. A few times I've read something and suddenly realized why my code didn't work very well and why the way he writes is makes so much more sense.

I'm excited to write my first game after finishing the book!

I liked this book. It walks you through building a game using basic and then more advanced techniques. The author structures his code nicely to ensure the user isn't hacking together something, but instead building a nice framework. Overview of OpenGL is adequate - I found some of the explanations a bit confusing, but polygon graphics isn't exactly easy. Overall good job.

Really a great book for app developers that want to become game developers or that simply want to create astonishing 3D apps.
