In the prologue to LIVE WIRE, Tehya Talamosi, code name: Enigma, is the one woman Jordan Malone, commander of the Elite Ops, wants and is the one woman he knows he can never have. But when they share one blazingly hot night, everything changes in ways Jordan could have never imagined...

Lora Leigh is a New York Times bestselling author of erotic romance novels. Leigh started publishing with electronic publisher Ellora's Cave in 2003. Leigh's longest-running series is The Breeds. She won the 2009 RT Award for erotica. Leigh was born in Ohio and raised in Martin County, Kentucky, US.
It is the first chapter in the Live Wire Ops #6 book. I would hate for someone to have to pay twice for this. It was a good start to a new book but I paid for a sample of the next book. It seems wrong to me.
Free online read at: and includes Book 7 Live wire. Otherwise, both books are $0.99 & $7.99 respectfully. I have all the other books in this series in paperback.
The next series after Tempting Seals. The stories follow the same formula (Alpha male protecting tough/sexy female) but Lora Leigh manages to make each story and each dangerous situation unique - yet they build off the last one and continue to be just and intriguing and exciting, additionally, the sex scenes are HOT!
It really wasn't much of a story here. It was mostly page after page after endless pages of sexual acts mixed in with monotonous monologues from each about their actions or lack of actions. It wasn't even really good sex because it was so repetitious and dragged out. The characters were shallow with no substance and very forgettable. Not sure where this series is going but hopefully it'll be better than this start.
The warmup to the conclusion of the Elite Ops series, it's the one you've waiting for! Teyha and Jordan are going to burn up in the hotness. All of Tey's smartass comebacks and the innuendo are coming full circle as the all too brief story leads into the full story. Get it for the background before you dive in to last book of the series.
Great story short, however....save your money and go straight to Live Wire, as all of Enigma, verbatim, is the first part of Live Wire anyway. Still the same problems with the editing (or lack of) within the entire series.
Woops! I didn't realize this was part of a series and read it without previous knowledge of the characters or the world. I don't think it really hurt anything except my future read of the series based on possible spoilers, but I kind of assume all characters get a HEA when I read those types of books.
This short story is hot and spicy! We watch Jordan suffer (I mean *really* suffer... it's repeated *a lot*) as he watches/stalks Tehya. Apparently they have a long history of sexual tension without any payoff. Now that they are the last two people on the base and have a guarantee that they won't be working together in the future they are free to let loose. It take a little bit of prodding, but they finally deliver a super hot hookup.
Unfortunately, Jordan just cannot stop messing this relationship up and manages to leave *everything* unsaid. I get that there is setup for the next full length book, but give the poor girl something! The story itself read nicely, although there were some date inconsistencies that I think other reviewers picked up on as well (6, 10, 8 years, etc.). I ended this story just feeling bad for both the characters because they mucked stuff up so horribly. I hope the book after this rights all these wrongs.
That me first say that this is the must upsetting Prologue of any book that I have ever read. Also this story is part of the book Live Wire. I am not sure if it was part of the book when it was first published but it is part of my e-book. It should also be said that you are going to need lots of tissue for the last few pages of the story. I can't believe Jordan is so out of touch. He is so determined to not love anyone he throws away a person that wants to love him. Tehya is one person that probably needs love more than any of the others on this team. Her life has been hell. She has never had a stable home or family. Her father was one of the biggest scum bags in the history of the human race. I am still not certain what Jordan's problem is but he should have gotten over it years ago. I just want to shake him until whatever is sticking in the hard head breaks lose and falls out his ears. This is also a sad story because the Elite Ops team that Jordan commanded has fulfilled their contract obligation and has now disbanded. That's about all I can say without giving away too much. I hope things go better with the rest of the story.
First I'm bummed this is the last of the Elite Ops series. I had no idea it was ending, but I am glad to finally read Jordan's story. This prologue was excellent and I can't wait until the March release, but as in the other books, I just want to knock Jordan upside the head. Sometimes men can be so stubborn in these books! I can't wait to see him fall and have to grovel for Tehya's love. It will excellent!
I enjoyed Live Wire. But I felt a little disapointed after purchasing and reading Enigma. It was a prologue to Live Wire. It was released shortly before Lora Leigh released Live Wire. I bought it in hopes of it containing something more. I wished I saved myself a dollar and just waited to purchase Live Wire so I can basically re-read it in the book's prologue. Guess that's my fault for not paying closer attention to the novella's blurb
Why should you read this book?🤔 👇🏻 It has those “illusion 4💫💫💫💫 👍🏻 This series has yumm-licious characters! Swooon...😍😋 👍🏻 An awesome plot, seamlessly blended characters and a perfect storyline you can get lost into!🤩 👍🏻 It has love, friendship, loyalty, suspense, romance and action - in short a perfect whirlwind drama set right here!🥰 👍🏻 The sizzling chemistry between Tehya and Jordan you just can't deny reading🔥 If you are a Romance-addict, this could be your next fix!🤭🖤
This prolouge is very steamy!! It definately makes you want to read on!! I just wish that Jordan wasn't so wrapped up in his way of thinking! If the Elite Ops are truly free and disbanded then he should not feel so badly about taking Tehya as his lover!! But, of course he is a hardheaded male! So I shall read on and am anticipating the ending!

I bought this thinking it was a new short story but apparently it was a a release post Live Wire so that people could get a sneak peek. It was a decent story. Jordan and Tehya stop fighting the desire between them. You have to read the full story to find out more.
Super hot, heady, and totally delicious. Tehya Talamosi, code name: Enigma and Jordan Malone have been playing a dangerous game for over six years. Now comes their day of reckoning. No doubt a night she will remember for eh rest of her life. No doubt a night the will torture himself with forever.
I have been waiting for what seems like forever to see the infamous Jordan Malone finally fall. This prologue to Live Wire was heartbreaking. But it just makes me want to see Jordan fall that much faster.
Can't wait to read it all. Tehya has been a spunky female doing drive-by in the other books. I've always wanted to learn more about Jordan too. It should be good!
