Lauren is one lucky dove...being one of the original seven daughters of venus comes with a lot of responsibility and perks. 1 - She gets to pick her husbands...or fellow's as they call them. 2 - She gets to call the shots in the bedroom and in the household. 3 - When push comes to shove, her decisions are ultimate. #womenrule in this mountain retreat where having a daughter is what all the women strive to accomplish. The women are adored and cared for and can have and do what their hearts desire, as long as they follow the rules.
Bonds are tested and temptation can ruin a happy home. But what would you do if you could have as many husbands as you wanted to fulfill your sexual needs and adore you?? Would you be able to resist another? Or just because you can, would you want more? Different, hot and creative
My mind is still blown a bit. This story is very far fetched but well written and drew me in. So expect massive fantasy land....or pretend land....even though a world of "women leading a colony and taking on multiple husbands" may sell as fantasy to some, it really is only about women becoming baby makers and creating a veiled safe environment for them to do it. So, putting aside all self respect, independence and equality- this story was pretty hot. It was creative, original and full of erotica; thrown in with intrigued, action and passion. I will be downloading the next story in the series.

Short but good
This novella went by quickly. I devoured it. I loved Lauren’s confidence. Not often do I come across a book with a woman that bold and able to ask/demand exactly what she wants. I loved it.
The sex scenes were evenly placed throughout the book. Even with the frequency (a lot), they seemed appropriate for the story and believable.
The story ended in a soft cliffhanger. To me, it seemed like a tv episode. It had enough of a finish that I didn’t feel like I was left hanging and thinking wtf, but enough of an opening to keep me wanting more.
Speaking of tv, this reminded me a lot of Big Love but with the reverse harem. We get Lauren and her fellows instead of Bill and his wives.

WOMEN RULE!!!
You know we've all though about it a place where women rule everything and Chris Genovese has made our dreams come true.
This book tells about a Dove Lauren, who is one of the original 7. It tells about her husband's or fellows Bentley, Ale', and Conner.
I do have to say I love how the author flips things around in this book. Where it has been seen as ok that men have several wives in some customs it's unheard of for a wife to have more than one husband. I like how he challenges society and likes to shake things up and he loves to give of a great book but in his sneaky way he absolutely gives us things to really think about.

I was given this story by the author in exchange for an honest review. And honestly, I loved it.
C.C. Genovese caught my attention right away starting with his Author Note an Dedication explaining how he started writing erotica on a dare. His writing style flows easily keeping his readers entertained and wanting more. I kept thinking, just one more chapter which would turn into three more. It was a late night.
I had a very hard time putting this very erotic story down. Mr. Genovese has new view on a possible future existence of the human race that raises questions as to what would you do if it happened. I thoroughly enjoyed not only the hot and steamy parts but the storyline as well. I fell in love with the four main characters Lauren, Bentley, Connor and Ale quite quickly and enjoyed reading how they interacted with one another.
Lauren lives in a time where the female population has become scarce with fewer girls born into the world every generation. Because of this many men have turned violent in finding a woman in which to claim as their own and many woman have been killed in this quest to be taken. Lauren, along with others left the outside behind and formed their own community in which to live peacefully and without fear from the Venenum. The Venenum are the worst of the worst when it comes to hunting down and capturing unwilling women.
Lauren is one of the Original Seven that started a new community called The Daughters of Venus. She is part of a religious sect where woman, or Doves, are worshipped and seen as goddesses to be loved, cherished and looked after (if only that happened in this day and age, right?) by the men in the community and more specifically those who are chosen as their fellows and become their husbands.
One of their main goals is to produce more female children in which to help keep the population growing. A unique idea in this group is having multiple husbands who not only have specific jobs within the community but also help in trying to create more daughters. These Daughters set up strict rules in which the entire community must follow in order to remain in this community.
One of which is that there is no violence towards anyone or you'll be banished. Another code in which Lauren has trouble with is only having three husbands to try to help her produce a female child. She desperately wants a daughter even though she loves her two sons. But how far is she willing to go to get what she wants? She loves her three husbands. What happens when more men are introduced into the community? Can their peace and tranquility last forever? For this you must read the book.

Can you imagine living in a world where woman reign supreme? I was a tad bit skeptical at first, I LOVE me some take charge men, the bossier the better. So I was wondering if I could get into a book where the women are in charge, they hold the ultimate power, they rule the house�. Ummm I don’t know? Then I started reading, The Daughters of Venus, and C.C. Genovese made a believer out of me! Holy hotness factor. YES, absolutely I can get into a book where woman are the boss! You want to read some smokin� hot erotica? Look no further. I am sure the other reviews you come across will praise Mr. Genovese on his storyline and his ability to write a great plot while weaving in some of the best sex scenes written. I would absolutely agree with those reviews. I enjoyed the storylines of BOTH books one and two. What I want to tell you in my review is, one click this book! Even if you are like me and skeptical about a book where the woman is in charge and you’re an Alpha lover like me. Both Daughters of Venus installments are fantastic. They are a quick read, great writing and super freaking sexy, erotic, sensual� I don’t know, get out your thesaurus and find some more synonyms for “Chris can write some fantastic erotica!� I am so glad I gave this book a chance! � I am posting this review for both books one and two, I do not want anyone to miss out on this great book just because we have Mistresses instead of Sirs� Cannot wait for book three!

This is a slightly futuristic story about a world where women were becoming extinct.. I say slightly futuristic because dam wouldn't it be interesting to have more than one husband.

A small group of men and women moved to a mountain retreat call The Dove to worship their women. Women were in charge, they were able to take on multiple husbands with the goal of having daughter. Lauren is one of the original Doves. She's married to three alpha men. Each husband has their assigned duties and a day to spend together. They already are jealous of each other but when another man from the outside shows up, life starts to unravel.
If you are looking for a book that's a little different, that will stir your imagination then this book is for you! I could not put this short story down. I really enjoyed the steamy erotic scenes and entertained the idea of having more than one husband. Yes, the story definitely has a good reason for taking on more than one husband but I can still fantasize. Although the ending may have me thinking twice. Forewarned: the ending is a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book!

I was pleasantly surprised when I read this book. I loved it. Imagine a world where there were more men than women and there is a community where women were spoiled and idolized. The ultimate joy is when a baby girl is born. In this community, the women are allowed to have 3 husbands. This is so each Dove has a chance of giving birth to a daughter. Who wouldn't want three husbands.

What can I say about this book it just literally took my breath away!! This is Lauren's story one of the Daughters of Venus who live by a set of regulations which I could only dream existed today
Within the Daughters of Venus women or Doves as they are refereed as are free to have up to three husbands and Lauren takes advantage of this rule and has three alpha males one called Bentley and the other two called Alejandro and Connor and those three men show Lauren just how much they love and worship her on a daily basis and when one of her husbands Connor whispers in her ear ' have I mentioned lately that I breathe you' I was left breathless myself
So if your looking for a highly sexually charge and erotic story this is definitely the book for you and the way it is written by a male author is so totally different from anything I have read in this genre in a long time

I bought The Trouble with Three Husbands out of curiosity and the fact that I like the way C.C. Genovese writes. We find ourselves in a world where woman are fewer in numbers than men and are worshipped and treated like goddesses. They get to pick their husbands, more than one if they like, on a 'try now return if you're not fully satisfied' type of arrangement. It's a win win situation. But when a stranger arrives at the Dove Lauren's loves and loyalties are tested. Will she keep the rules of the Dove and remain a true Daughter of Venus? My problem with this book is I couldn't for the life of me find the full address and directions of how to get to the Daughters of Venus, Boulder, Colorado. I would have loved for it to be a bit longer but that okay because once again C.C. Genovese made me 'smile'.....you know what I mean ;)

Let me start off by saying - that I probably would have never chosen this book for myself. I'm so glad the author asked me to do a review for this book. He blew me away. I loved the story line to this book and the characters were amazing. Literally could not put his book down!! You will not be disappointed.
It was quite interesting of how the community came together and the rules they had. It's definitely a different lifestyle and it pulled the reader in. The doves in this book were quite interesting and I hope they each get their own book!! This author has a way to go from the detailed story line, to make you laugh, to hot sex scenes. He is a great author. If you haven't read his books you should pick up this one today.

Honestly, what could be better then a world where women are put on a pedestal and completely worshiped? Your every need is taken care of, all household duties, all your sexual needs, and all your wishes granted. In this future world women are rare and held in the highest rearguard. The fabulous part is they get three husbands! I know you're thinking what would a girl do with that many husbands? Well, as I found out, a lot! This is a hot, sexy read that is set in a dystopian society. It's different from anything I've read to date and the sex is panty melting! This romance will melt your heart and you will fall in love with the characters. I can't say enough about this book.

Well damn this was one of the hottest books I've read in a while. This book was a quick read that was very well written. The story is very different and I loved the concept of it, I didn't want it to end. There's tons of hot sex that will leave you begging for more.
The story follows Lauren one of the original seven as she deals with being a leader and having 3 husbands. She's pretty good at balancing life until a mysteries stranger shows up and turns her world upside down. I'm excited to read the next book just to see where the story goes next.

I want to be a Dove
For being a man, this author does an amazing job of speaking from a female point of view. This book is a setting where females are few and far between and rule their group. It took me to a place of curiosity and wonder of what it would be like to be worshipped and cherished by the male partner. It is incredibly hot and sexy and I can't wait to read more of his books!

I'm going to start off by saying I loved this book. It was so entertaining. I was drawn in and had to read until the end. The sex was hot but the story is there too and that just makes it even better. I see I have another series to follow because I definitely need to know what happens next.

This book was pretty intriguing. I mean, a woman with three husbands and she was pretty much in charge of everything..... great take on an intriguing world if you ask me. This book was hot and funny and just an all around great read. The characters have their issues and the ending was a punch in the gut but this author is amazingly creative. I have been a fan for a while and can’t believe I haven’t read this series yet. I can’t wait to read the next one and find out what the heck will happen. 4 stars #2OCCJD

I loved this book! Chris Genovese really knows how to write a story that draws you and keeps you interested. This story moved along at a fast pace, with characters that held my attention, it’s hot, sexy, and fun! I loved Lauren’s character and her confidence. I highly recommend this book, it’s great!

An enjoyable *wink wink read, where women number the few and men number the many. Each woman can have up to 3 husbands in this post apocalyptic world, and the women rule the community. Great characters.

This was a really intriguing read that was really well written. The way the author wrote this story really drew me in and made it impossible to put the book down because I wanted to find out what was going to happen next in the story.

I wasn’t drawn into this book. I really tried but I felt there was any backstory to this book. I know it’s not always necessary but maybe it would’ve helped me connect better. I will attempt to read the next books & hope I can connect with them.

The story is about one women and her husbands. You can get what you want but is it really what you need. This is another fantastic story from this author he always amazes me with his imagination and storytelling. I can't wait to read more from this author.
